Hold Street Market and Downtown Market

The largest schnitzel i have ever seen that even with 2 orders among 4 persons had us taking home leftovers! Wow! Great for a hungry person! We enjoyed it but when we rarely eat deep fried foods, it felt too rich after awhile! It would wash down well with a beer i am sure 🍺

This place is a little underwhelming compared to the Great Market Hall. You would expect it to be busy on a Saturday afternoon but there are very few shops open. However, it’s worth a visit for the great selection of eateries the building houses. It’s a great place to pop in for a bite to eat with something for every taste. There’s even a directory in Braille on the ground level right inside the main entrance!

Really wonderful food court on top floor! Don't miss the Russian food vendor, goulash or the dumplings. Downstairs fabulously fresh meats, veggies and spices galore.

Visited Stand 25 and Sipos restaurant. Fun place to go have lunch. If you in Budapest must go to place

An old market hall building with the expected vendors, like grocery, butchers, bakery, fishmonger and a few choices of street food places for quick lunches. Downtown price range, but the building has a remarkable interior to look at and the quality of the products is up to standards.

The Séf Utcája is the best one in the Market. Always delicious food, big portion, good, polite and friendly staff. Recommend place. :)

Pretty good food on the second floor of this market. Good variety as selection. We sampled several stalls and the quality were all excellent!

Nice idea, nice market but when we visited (September 17) large part of the stores were closed and empty, some not very unique stores and fast food stalls.
