We had a fantastic stay with a family of five here at this location. We stayed at the one bedroom Villa and it was plenty for all of us. The kids really loved the water area and we had lots of fun at the beach. You can walk to the beach right from any of the buildings. The staff was fantastic and the hotel offered lots of extra fun things like movies and rocket talks and entertainment. This was a really good location near the beach and everything and the port. Pretty cool to see the giant cruise ships coming in and the boats that carry the rockets. A few nice restaurants right down in Port Canaveral that weren't that far away.

The hotel employees are exceptional. The booking rep and timeshare representatives were somewhat deceitful. I told them when accepting and booking this trip my spouse would not be attending. For the timeshare seminar, one requirement to receive the $149 cash gift and ensure the discounted room price your spouse has to attend. I was assured over the phone I would still get the discount and deal. This was a lie. They refused me at the timeshare meeting and tried to charge me full price before even making it to the parking lot after advising the would listen to the sales/ booking call to determine which was at fault. You are guilty until proven innocent. Thank God for Wells Fargo, they declined their underhanded charge. Now they have no choice but to review the call. I could have complained about the mold in my room ( see pics)I know I will be proven to have been the honest one. I hope this review has no negative reflection on the actual hotel staff. They were all exceptional!

The hotel shares beach access with a local park and it frequently fills up due to cruises. This is a good hotel to stay at if you are boarding a cruise the next day. The restaurant is good for a meal but keep your expectations modest. The room needed some work, with the pull out sofa mattress being stained and broken. It was so excruciating painful to sleep on I went to Walmart to buy a foam mattress pad just to be able to sleep, barely. The light in the bathroom was burned out and the AC couldn't get below 74 on most days. The dryer vent was so clogged with fuzz that even cleaning the filter failed to help it get most loads dry on one cycle. The staff were helpful and friendly. The pool is well kept and has a decent lazy river. Lack of food service at pool side is a bummer. The tram to the beach and ocean is the only perk. This is a good hotel for a short stay, but if you are considering 3 or more days you may want to consider another place. If you are going to visit the theme parks, understand that this hotel is about 1hr away one way on average.

I haven't been to the property in about 10 years, but booked it for a "ladies weekend" with two friends as it ticked all the boxes for location (beach, easy access to the Orlando airport and roughly halfway between where two of us live) and amenities (pool, suite w/kitchen). While there appeared to have been no change to the resort decor in common areas, it didn't look as run down as I had feared, just weathered like any other beach hotel/resort. The suite (1 bedroom with pull out sofa in living area) decor did appear updated and had everything we needed for making dinner Friday evening and storing our beverages and snacks. Being able to make our own meals was great because the on-site restaurant is not vegan friendly. Everything in our suite was clean, worked properly, the wifi was strong and the staff was friendly. They give you tons of towels (bath and pool). Having a washer/dryer with provided detergent in the suite was super convenient for drying bathing suits and cover-ups before packing. The pool was terrific, the lazy river fun and the live music (talented sola artist) was at just the right audible level. Access to the beach is an easy walk, although a golf cart is available. The location next to Port Canaveral affords a terrific view of cruise ships coming and going and several choices for dining. We selected FishLips because they were the only ones that clearly had vegan options on their menu. Overall, the three of us were extremely pleased with our stay and would go again the next time our reunion is in this area.

It's a beautiful resort, greater amenities, bathrooms could have been a little cleaner. The shower head in the bathroom, could use an upgrade. Okay, the pool is very large, that's great. I need to tell you, I have extensive nerve damage, need a device to hold me up in the water, cannot hang on to a noodle! On one vacation, I sunk to the bottom and couldn't save myself. I have an older sister who travels with me, who also has problems in the water. That said, we were asked to remove our floating devices, that would mean I couldn't get in the pool. Yet, hard footballs are allowed to be thrown, over our heads in the pool, even got hit by one in the back of my head. This is their rules, and they say it's for safety reasons. I say, I could potentially drown without my floating device, what about my safety? Also, I've folding devices are very small, Holiday inn club resorts, it would be nice, if you reevaluate some of the rules to accommodate senior citizens. You accommodate the kids, but what about the ones paying for the vacation? We will not return to Cape Canaveral, ever. Just for the fact, not being able to get in the pool without my floating device, for my own safety.

My stay so far at Holiday Inn Club Vacations Cape Canaveral has been really great! I’ve stayed at other hotels before where noise throughout the night made it hard to get a good night's sleep—but that hasn’t been the case here. It’s been peaceful, and I truly appreciate how respectful guests have been of the hotel’s quiet hours. The staff here are incredibly friendly and welcoming, and I want to give a special shout-out to the housekeeping team—they’ve been so helpful and kind throughout my stay. It’s refreshing to be in a place where people care about making your experience pleasant and relaxing. The resort is also extremely clean, which makes such a difference when you're trying to relax and enjoy your time away from home. Overall, I feel well-rested and refreshed. This has been one of the most comfortable hotel experiences I’ve had, and I would definitely stay here again in the future!

We came in with a package that cost 1500, with a food and drink voucher of $400, for an 8 day 7 night stay. Check in in my case was quick and pleasant. Gave us wrist bands and the lady was nice and explained everything well. The room was the double unit with A and B, bigger and smaller room. Everything was in good condition and pleasant, though a bit dated. I found the smaller beds in the bigger room to be more comfortable than the king bed in the smaller room. The rest of the facilities were nice, although again a bit dated. The gym was not dated at all with good and new machines, as well as spacious with a view to the port and the cruises. The timeshare presentation was interesting, they are very persistent and persuasive, but those numbers make no sense, from the upfront cost, to the 16% interest, to the annual maintenance fees. Not to mention that the point system is very ambiguous, not clear at all what one is getting for such large sum of money. I don't mind negotiating so I have them a chance to make their point. Keep in mind your legal obligation is only 90 minutes. So at the 60 minute mark make it clear that you've made your decision, stick with it, and wrap it up. Really wish those number and their point system made sense, as we really did enjoy our stay and got the chance to invite more family members. Would stay here again if the price is right.

Google
Good location, offers tram that leads right to the beach if you don’t want the short walk. Great for larger families but I wouldn’t go here for a couples vacation or anything romantic like that. Furnishing is outdated, and walls are a bit thin. It’s clean but it seems the hygiene product holders (a small little thing of metal) could break any second. Our lotion holder is hanging by a thread. Overall decent place, would recommend.

Yelp
I don't know about the negative reviews but overall this was a little gem of a place and the room we booked was absolutely perfect for our family of 4. The kids had their own room and we had ours, and a whole living area with furnished kitchen. We had booked through IHG. The description we got was a 2 bedroom suit ocean view, but like other yelpers have mentioned, there is no ocean view. The beach isn't right outside like the description makes it seem. We arrived and I thought I'd open our balcony and ocean! NOPE. No ocean, we were stating a little street or outskirts of the hotel maybe? I presented this to the front desk and they helped us out. I was too tired to move everything over, so they gave us a hotel credit for the restaurant. Our accommodations were pretty great except for the shower head in the master bath bath and the AC, which was rackety loud and would start with a bang as if someone had shut the front door. I think this is. Aside from these little things, the hotel has great amenities to do a little staycation. We only stayed one night but this location is close to Kennedy Space center and you have terminal 3 of the port right across the street. On our trip there was someone who must've drank too much and must've had marital issues and conflict with their friend (who knows), but their racket and arguing and the man's yelling out the balcony and the fighting was distressing) security would go talk to them but they still continued their mess. I'm sure the cops must've come eventually. I wish I could say I had a restful nights sleep but that kept me up for a few good hours (but the 4 stars review is mostly due to the booking inconsistency and things that need attention, no one can help a drunk person going through a hard time).

Yelp
Horrible cleanliness (mold), extremely outdated, and they referred us to a bug infested shuttle service to transport us to the port. The shuttle was filled with hundreds of ants, torn seats, and the front electrical area was torn apart.

Yelp
The waterslide is always shut down (the lifeguards go home too early if there is lightening in area) Poor breakfast menu and service. You order a coffee and have to go to a separate room to get sugar and cream. The cleaning staff is very slow. We waited until 5pm to check in to our room. The bar drinks are very weak and sugary. Service is slow. The food menu is very repetitive if staying several nights. The escalators are always broken. The hot tub has been broken each time we go (three times/each summer) The rooms are small with loud ice machines that go off in the middle of the night. The air conditioner was loud and the cycle kept us awake. Pool is very dirty. No towel service at pool. Disappointing overall.

Yelp
IHG / HICV executives need to put some TLC into this property, yesterday. See below issues: - VERY loud hotel, needs hallway / door remodels - Laundry facilities didn't work, had to rewash my clothes off property. - Cafe was short staffed, line of 10-15 people just to enter order at the bar only, so we left. - Sales staff called me 3x in an hour because I didn't pick up the first time (a first for us). - Maintenance associate visited to change AC filter, but none of us asked for this service, and he was confused as to why he had our room number. - New Years Day I couldn't speak to anyone at owner support or call another property (I impersonated a non-owner wanting a membership, THEN I got someone). I calmly asked to speak to a manager yesterday, and I was promptly greeted and he graciously listened to my concerns. But he seemed like he was holding the building up. All other staff was slow and marginally friendly, and was not a good look on the property or the brand. We've been to Orange Lake, New Orleans, Gatlinburg, and Apple Mountain and had above and beyond service. That was not the case here. Please give this property some TLC. Thanks.

Yelp
Room smelled terrible. Wifi did not work throughout the resort. I had to work and couldn't because the wifi dis not work. Very disappointing Our room smelled terrible. It smelled of smoke, body odor, and pets. I mentioned it to the front desk immediately and they blamed it on the cleaner they use. I think they were shifting blame it was not the smell of cleaner that I was smelling. The front desk offered to send house keeping to spray a deodorizer, they never came. The staff seemed very uninterested and annoyed by customers. For the pool a day pass would be good for families but I wouldn't recommend staying overnight based on my experience

Yelp
Scam alert at Holiday Inn Club Cape Canaveral. I am an owner of a timeshare at Holiday Inn Club Resort Cape Canaveral. I recently advertised my unit for rent and was told by someone I casually knew (a Canadian by the way) that they would help me find a renter. They lined up someone and collected the rent. They kept promising they would forward the rent to me but as the week approached, they never did. I could have cancelled the reservation but the innocent renter would have been out what they paid AND the week's rental. I had hoped the middleman would forward the rent, minus a small finders fee, but he disappeared leaving me with nothing. So, if you are an owner there, don't trust anyone that says they can help you rent your unit, and, if you are a potential renter who's working through a middleman, beware because you may lose your money and your rental.

Yelp
Please note: This 5 star review is actually for the Holiday Inn Express that is located right across from the Resort. Since both are ISG owned, and the Holiday Inn does not have its own Yelp review page I decided to leave a review under the resort one. I also visited the resort since it is located on the same property and have a review at the end. Holiday Inn Express: Wow!!! The hotel is absolutely beautiful. It just recently opened up a few weeks ago and is amazing. Leah at the front desk deserves even more than a five star. She is extremely nice, and made us feel so very comfortable at check in. Our room on the 3rd floor was spacious, and modern. I also loved the pool area. It's super pretty. The hotel is located across from Cruise Port Terminal 3. Holiday Inn offers long term parking for $15/day. It's actually two dollars/day cheaper than parking at the cruise port. We decided to leave our car at the hotel since it was only 3 walking minutes to the cruise terminal. There is not much to do in the immediate area unless you drive into town, but it is a perfect place to stay when going on a cruise. During our stay my husband and I checked out the resort. The offered a Thanksgiving meal and we decided to eat there. I read in one of the reviews that it has a 90' vibe. And yes- this is sooo true!!! The resort is pretty outdated and does not look very inviting. Yellowish ceiling tiles give the hallways a sad and dark vibe. The decor is from the early 90' and I don't think was ever updated. The restaurant looks dark and reminds me of a nursing home dining room. The staff was not very professional either. We purchased our tickets for the Thanksgiving meal in the bar area. The staff member behind the counter and his colleagues were just goofing around like they owned the place . It was odd. Our table at the restaurant was clean but the tabletop was old and our plates and cups stuck to them like glue... our Thanksgiving meal was tasty but the dessert not so much. The bread pudding was dry and tasteless, the apple crisp wasn't better. Way too sweet and tasteless as well. We decided to walk around after eating and to check out the resort a bit. So here is my review for the resort: The kiddy playground is the saddest thing I have ever seen...... old wooden chips overgrown with weeds covered the ground, decorated with a few rusty and faded animal swings. The picture doesn't do justice. It's even sadder looking in person. We walked around a bit and saw that someone on the first floor had their doors open and we took a quick distanced peak inside from the sidewalk. It looked outdated. We also looked into the game room- out dated. Wacky looking dented lamps were hanging above the Billard tables, broken arcade games. The only nice thing in there was the pool area. The resort is also located right across from cruise terminal 3 - no direct beach access. I would honestly NOT stay there nor by a time share there. I have been to many ISG's, Hotels and Resorts (we are Espire Elite Members). Some were super nice, some a bit older, but overall all of them were nice. This one is just very very sad..... 1990' nursing home vibe....

Yelp
Absolute shittiest place I have stayed. Air conditioning didn't work. Had to call maintenance. The so called "garden tub" didn't work had to call maintenance again. To watch the tv you have to turn your head 180 degrees to watch the tv. Please folks go somewhere better. Please don't waste your money, There are so many options out there.

Yelp
Let's just say... go elsewhere if you don't want to have a horrible long night with no sleep. HVAC rumbling all night. No actual dinner table. NO WINDOWS! Terrib But the staff is friendly.

Yelp
I've worked for the Janitorial company "Mastercorp" the company the Holiday inn contracts to keep them clean. They're on a mission to fire all the White people they have working there. I've been racially targeted and harassed multiple times for my blue eyes and pale skin, and when I finally went to HR about It I was the one fired. None of the housekeepers or other janitorial people can even say a sentence in English. They need to be investigated.

Yelp
I was completely happy with this resort. The rooms are updated and clean. The two and four bedroom villas are very spacious and comfortable. The resort has free Internet, three outdoor pools, water park, kid golf, tennis, arcade room, gift shop and much more. The restaurant and bar gave excellent service with competitive pricing. The entire staff was friendly, accommodating and professional.

Yelp
Holiday inn Resort We wanted to see a launch and to tour the Kennedy Space Center. This was the closest hotel, and it was fabulous! If the launch had not been scrubbed, we could have watched while lounging in or by the pool. After checkout after staying one night, the Center was so close that when we got there, we parked in the first row of parking. Our checkin experience was via text message and face to face. CCD guidelines for a pandemic were followed and the staff was friendly & efficient. We had a room on the 5th floor, and our view was the parking area. Next time we'll pay a little more for a pool view. The room was spacious with everything we needed for more than a one night stay: beach towels, microwave, small fridge, dishwasher, dishes, pots & pans, utensils, coffee maker and more. We had a sofa and easy chair to watch the flat screen cable TV. The bed was comfortable, and we had a good night's sleep. We had lunch at the onsite restaurant. Food was reasonably priced and tasted great. Service was also very good. The pool area encouraged social distancing. The lazy river was relaxing, but it was a little tricky avoiding a few others in the river. The pool was closing, so we didn't use the slide. We walked the boardwalk to the beach - about .5 to .7 miles each way. The beach is beautiful, and we walked down the next morning to see the sunrise, the seagulls and skimmers, as well as the sandpipers. We did not see any of the movies in the theater, because we didn't have time (3 movies at 10, 2, and 6). We also did not have time for ping pong, shuffleboard, miniature golf, tennis, or basketball. All equipment is provided, by the way! Express check out was a breeze. We were too early for the restaurant, so we drove 15 min. to a Waffle House.

Yelp
I drove nine hours here just to get SCAMMED by Holiday Inn Club Vacations at Cocoa Beach FL. I drove down here to look at a timeshare to purchase at this place. I was offered 3 nights free for doing so. I paid $250 nonrefundable payment (was told I would get that back in cash but have not yet)- THEY PUT ME IN A JUNKY HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS DOWN THE STREET. On the first email where I purchased the deal directly from Holiday Inn- it shows a picture of the resort with a link to it. We drove all the way down here to stay at a Sketchy Hotel 20 minutes away next to a trailer park in the middle of nowhere. My wife and I are so beyond pissed off. We will absolutely not be buying any timeshare tomorrow. That is a fact, and I will never stay with any holiday inn hotel ever again. I have never felt more directly lied to and scammed in my life.

Yelp
Amazing drinks from the Tiki Bar! Dirty Monkey and mango frozen drinks were a big hit for my boyfriend and I. We had such a great time!

Yelp
The resort is nice however the pressure to sit for a presentation is horrific. Once you agree and get the gift the 60 minute sales pitch is really longer. Now i did purchase part of the resort. However for all you that will go through it in the future. I will sell my for half what they want

James L.

Yelp
Yikes! Made reservations over 6 month prior for 4 rooms together. Needless to say upon arrival the rooms were not together. The clerk had no idea how to use our points to pay for the rooms and the entire check in process took over 30 mins. If that wasn't bad enough they are painting during normal business hours making guest walk outside to use elevators to get to their rooms. Holiday Inn, you can do better.

Yelp
Does not meet expectations. Poorly managed. Staff lacking and generally not pleasant. Pool closed. Bathrooms by pool closed. Restaurant lacking, food was not good. Had all of two people working for drink and food orders during dinner time. We did not go back for rest of stay. Tried to get a drink, they closed early. Bought the $20 refillable coke cup only for the machine to never be full - ever, for 7 days. Kids club was non existent. Elevator and escalator out of order during our stay. Movie that would have been great on a rainy afternoon never happened & no one could help or care. Main pool closed for remodel half way thru our stay which we only found out about at check in & they offered no compensation. (+ jack hammer noise for rest of stay during working hours). Highly looking forward to slide since no pool, but after 2 hrs of waiting for staff kids only went down twice and wouldn't again. It was too rough - and not on purpose, like poorly maintained. Beach front room was half a mile walk. Tram was here or there but never when needed. Room itself was nice but it didnt make up for all of the other shortcomings. Will not stay at HIVacation club again. Highly do not recommend this location.

Yelp
Reading the reviews before coming to this place helped manage expectations. The resort is not your typical hotel, so being aware of that ahead of time helps. We stayed for three nights in a studio room which was fine for our family: 2 adults and 2 small children. Our older kid loved the giant bathtub and the pool was a great hit. If you're looking to just enjoy family time on a getaway and spend a lot of time by the pool, this is a great place! Also, we only booked the stay via the IHG site so we didn't do a sales presentation like some people do. Some issues: -On night 1 we had our ceiling fan break when my husband pulled the cord to turn it on. Maintenance came to look at the fan and said they'd be back to replace it the following morning. They never came, despite us checking in with the front desk. We managed without it working by cranking up the AC, but it would've been better with a working fan. -There are several broken things on the property, including one working elevator. Several arcade games are out of order. They have a Coca Cola Freestyle machine that was broken. And the advertised children's area was nonexistent because of construction or something. -The "playground" is subpar at best. -In some ways, the resort felt very much like a 90s flashback so some updated amenities/processes would serve this place well. -The communication for how things work around the resort was not great. We were told we could replenish a few items in the room at a charge, like coffee, and when we asked how to do so (knowing we would pay) we were treated like we were stupid. We had to ask for assistance with exchanging towels for clean ones and then were met with confused faces when we didn't know the process. If these things were explained, it'd be different. -I watched a guy get yelled at when he was confused on how refills in the Grill worked. I don't know who was right or wrong in the situation, but the way he was treated was shocking. Instead of asking him if he knew what he was doing, he was just told he was a thief and yelled at. In that moment I made up my mind we would not be eating/drinking there. Helpful tip -It is true that the beach isn't super close. However, it is a nice little walk and the beach is really nice so I still recommend utilizing the boardwalk to the beach. We discovered that our hotel key gave us access to park closer to the beach (at other buildings owned by the resort) and that helped with getting our little kids to the beach sooner. Overall, we'd come back if we vacation to the area again for the use of the pool while our kids enjoy it.

Yelp
Beware of what the pictures and descriptions promote! We thought we were staying at an oceanfront resort - it is not! Unless you know you're staying in building three. If not, it's a five minute walk. No big deal, but it's misleading. Our room is a motel style room- door is on the outside and the only window faces the parking lot. No balcony, lots of noise, not the cleanest.... Again, no huge problems, just feel like the website is misleading.

Anne T.

Yelp
SAVE YOUR VACATION! Don't fall for the false advertisements or photos on the website...take your money and family, save your vacation and stay somewhere else! The pictures posted from the business owner are not at all accurate. This is NOT ocean front in anyway. The first room they put my family in was what I believed to be a utility closet/storage converted to a room. It was at an angle, had a water heater in the room covered in spiderwebs and dust, there wasn't even a window! The bed was on linoleum floor within arms reach of the kitchenette. The second room was about the same but at least it had a small window- that wouldn't open. It's not even a hotel- the room open to the outdoors like a motel. Everything is dirty and old, there is no upkeep. The slide was never open, the pool chipping, front desk is all attitude. Arcade is a joke, the "theatre" terrible, mini golf from the 80's. It's just all nasty. Don't ruin your vacation, find a different hotel!

Yelp
On my Spring Break 2022 vacation, I stopped at two different Holiday Inn Club Vacation properties: Orange Lake and Cape Canaveral. Comparing the two, I strongly enjoy this property much better. This Holiday Inn Club Vacations property includes beach access, which was wonderful. There are also oceanfront rooms that you can pick from that depending on your floor offer a lovely ocean view. My two-bedroom ocean view condo offered a great night's sleep and a clean room, and the hotel facilities were wonderful. First, the night's sleep. In the two-bedroom oceanview condo, I slept in one of the double beds as I was traveling with my family. My bed was extremely comfortable, and there were plentiful pillows for my one double bed - pushing four pillows. The bed and room did not get too hot. Our balcony did have this little whistle sound because of the wind, and that did not disturb our sleep. If you hear that, do not worry! My Rating for this Category: 5/5 Next, the cleanliness. My two-bedroom oceanview condo had no cleanliness issues. All of the dishes in the condo's kitchen were clean upon arrival. There were no bedbug issues, which is always a fantastic bonus. The one small, extremely minor gripe that I had was the balcony was not screened in; thankfully, there are little bug problems on the Atlantic side as far as I know. You do get some bird visitors! For the pools, there were no big glumps of hair to disturb your swimming. My Rating for this Category: 5/5 Finally, the facilities. At the Cape Canaveral Resort, there is a lot offered - ping pong, kids play area, free beach access, shuttle to the oceanfront condos, lazy river, waterslide, big lagoon-style pool with volleyball net, restaurants, and more. The shuttle driver is extremely friendly and attentive. The music selection in the hotel lobby is perfect; it is a Caribbean/tropical vibe. At this Holiday Inn Club Vacations, tube rentals and mini-golf are free, which is different from the popular Orange Lake Holiday Inn! My Rating for this Category: 5/5 If you have young kids who are interested in cruise ships, this resort is perfect. The resort is located on the beach which you will have free access to. When the cruise ships depart around 4-5 p.m, you will have an amazing view of the ships leaving. If I was back in the Orlando(ish) area again, I would make the extra forty-five-minute drive to stay at this location instead of the ones in Orlando itself. It is absolutely worth it. The seaside atmosphere that this resort goes for is amazing. All of the staff members are also extremely friendly, and they do not push you for timeshares like some of the other Holiday Inn Club Vacation locations do. The room was clean and offered a good night's sleep, and the hotel has great facilities. I would definitely recommend this resort to anyone staying near Cape Canaveral or as a pre-cruise stay.

Yelp
We had a smooth check in. I went to the guest services desk to inquire about discount ticket availability and was offered $150 to go on a 90 minute tour with an offer to join the Holiday Inn Club. We politely declined and there was no pressure. Our room was brand spankin' new - furniture, carpet, kitchenette, bathroom, lighting - nice and fresh. The bed was comfortable. Bath and Body Works products offered and nice deep corner bathtub. We ate in the restaurant twice and it was good. Because of our busy schedule and our two night stay, we didn't have time to take advantage of the many amenities available. There's all kind of fun things to do - kids would not be bored. There is a rooftop basketball court and tennis court above the parking garage, mini golf, arcade room, movies, and an amazing lazy river to float on in inner tubes, nice pool with lots of falling water throughout, plenty of lounge chairs and a poolside bar. A shuttle is available to take you to the beach. Obviously the remodeling is now complete and this Holiday Inn Vacation Club is top notch.

Yelp
Mediocrity at best. Had a couple drinks at the pool bar, nothing special but not terrible. They ignore you for long lengths of time. Ordered a Margarita pizza (without diced tomatoes). Showed up confused and as about 12 lbs of marinara sauce with a few spots of Mozzarella cheese. I am not even exaggerating, it was drowning in it. There should be zero red sauce of any type on a magaritta pizza. The reason for the low review? They of course ignored us for so long I threw my napkin on the pizza and left. I guess if you are a captive at the hotel, you are stuck with it. We can go elsewhere and will.

Yelp
Overall we had a positive experience! The room was very clean and we loved having a kitchen. Due to COVID restrictions, some items were not open and you have to register to go to the pool each day. The pool was nice and not too crowded. It was VERY annoying that we could not bring our own food and drinks. The line to their cafe always took forever just to get one drink due to them not having many workers. Though it was annoying the beach was not super close, at least they had a shuttle that you could take to the beach. The reason we came to this resort was for the promotional thing about timeshares. The most annoying part was it took more than two hours and I just was ready to go to the pool once we hit the two hour mark.

Yelp
OK, so we decided to take a short trip for my birthday to Cape Canaveral. We found this place and it looked really nice in the pictures so we booked three nights in February. What a disappointment! First, our room was decent, but the king size bed was too big for the room. Seriously, you couldn't even walk next to the left side of the bed (see pictures). It was like a cave as there was only one relatively small window in the place. We really didn't use the kitchenette much other than to hand-wash a couple of glasses. There was a dishwasher, but we didn't use it. The refrigerator was small but usable. The bathroom was a nice size. Since we were staying for 3 nights, there wasn't enough shampoo/conditioner/soap, etc. so we needed to call the front desk to get more. The pool towel situation worked the same way. Since our towels wouldn't dry between one day and the next, we needed to call to get more. Not a big deal, but not the same as having room service cleanings each day. When we made the reservation, we were not told this was a timeshare situation, we thought it was just a hotel. Lesson learned! Now for the really fun part...the first day we went down to have a quiet drink by the pool (bartender was AWESOME!). When we got there, all we heard was jackhammers! Apparently, they were tearing up some of the pool patio area and it was horrible! Of course, no one told us they were renovating when we made the reservation! The noise was ridiculous! No peace! One of the reasons I selected this hotel over others was the beautiful lazy river pool. Guess what? It was closed for renovations! We were shocked that, again, no one told us this when we made the reservations! The only good thing about our stay was there was a SpaceX launch while we were there and the hotel has a person on staff that tells you all about it and where to go for the best view. He was very helpful! We walked to the beach - about 10 minutes on a nice pathway to watch the liftoff at 3:00AM. Amazing to watch! I recommend you stay clear of this place unless you want one of the nicer 2-bedroom suites...maybe they are better than what we had!

Yelp
When this was still owned by Ron Johns I would've in a heartbeat rated this a 10! We love coming here. BUT, with that said when the switch was made from Ron Johns to Holiday Inn - the level of service went down too. You used to see the pool, kids area, hot tub, lazy river and slide covered in pool staff in bright orange shirts. Watching, organizing games/activities, interacting with guests and supervising. Now, you see NOBODY. It's always been swim at your own risk- but way back in the day you at least had someone there to potentially help. The pool hours have changed again, it opens at 9!! That seems very late for a beach resort that's very welcoming to families. Pool closes at 10pm. Hours used to be 7a-11p. They have a game room, that has the usual arcade games, the claw games, a boxing game, 3 pool tables, 2 basketball games & 2 foosball tables. There is a small movie theater that used to also host the magic shows and stand up comedy shows. It may still do that BUT we didn't go in their this last time. Back in the day, there used to be a teen hangout room with couches, games and TVs but that has been redone and made into the luggage cart room. There used to also be a huge store with perishables, souvenirs, food & pool/beach supplies. This store has been closed down since and nothing has taken it place. They did open a small store next to the checkin counter which is nice and it has a good selection for the size. Where this store is, is where the luggage carts used to be. This facility also has outdoor golf courses, basketball court, access to the beach, tennis court, beach games, activity center (painting, tie dye, bear stuffing, sand dollar painting, sundaes, root beer floats & other fun stuff). This stuff is for adults & children. They also have a restaurant (service is a little slow) and an outdoor tiki bar! We love the tiki bar - those drink specials are amazing & get the onion rings. You won't be disappointed! Those things are amazing. The rooms are nice and spacious no matter what size or style you get. Bathrooms are a little outdated & the latest room we stayed in needed a bit of updating. But it is still enjoyable and we LOVE coming here! If you're a signature club member you get extra perks and those perks are amazing! We are thankfully blessed to be apart of that. Tip: buy the REFILLABLE cup at the front - it's $9.99 and you can use it at the only coke station inside the building. You have to wait 10 minutes in between each refill.

Yelp
I just changed my rating for this resort. On the last day of our visit I was able to witness the launch of a Space X rocket. It was absolutely awesome! The view from the resort beach was perfect.

Yelp
Wow, what a nice resort! From the moment you arrive the fun begins. There is something for everyone. The resort caters to every need possible..if you want the ocean hop aboard the shuttle which runs until 11pm daily. Not in the mood for the ocean then go to the pools, and there are several, the lazy river floats around the main pool and is truly relaxing. If you want to get a bit daring try the slides into the main pool, it's a really steep drop. Not in the mood to swim ? Lots more to choose from, there's always a movie in the theater or putt putt or something in the entertainment complex which usually has a $5 charge. There's a game room adult beverages and games to play while drinking, you can use the media room 24 hours a day or just hang out in your fabulous room watching cable or go to the front desk and ask for a DVD of your favorite movie, it's free. Food is readily available and the resort restaurant is great. This is a have to see it to experience it resort with so many amenities you'll have to discover for yourself. Would I recommend this place? For sure dude surfers families singles couples everyone will enjoy this resort!

Yelp
We stayed here the night before our cruise leaving from Cape Canaveral. I specifically chose to here due to its close proximity to the port. We got in pretty late and left early the next day so we didn't really get to enjoy the resort's amenities. The pool and water park area looked awesome! We did eat at the restaurant onsite twice due to convenience and not having a car, the restaurant was surprisingly good considering there was pretty much nobody eating there both times we came. My daughter loved the indoor play gym area. There was also a little arcade/game area for older kids. This place is definitely family friendly. We had a very spacious 2 bedroom in front of the ocean. I enjoyed the view of the beach when I woke up and having the extra space. Because we were barely here, we didn't really get to enjoy the kitchen or laundry but definitely nice to have for longer stays. The unit did seem a bit outdated and not as clean as I'd like. Also to back track a bit, check-in was a bit frustrating. They could not find our reservation at first then the staff who was helping us proceeded to sit in the office in the back to say she was looking for it, but we could see that it looked like she was using this time to take a break...my father in law tried to talk to her while she was sitting back there then she finally came back out and found our reservation in a box in the front desk area furthering my suspicions that she was sitting in the back taking a break since there was a fairly long line of people...Customer service could use some help here...

Yelp
We have been owners at Holiday Inn (formerly Ron Jon) for about 13 years. The resort just finished the pool building remodeling and the rooms are beautiful, stunning. The property itself is well appointed, not luxurious, but nicely done. There is also a new building which doesn't disappoint either. Holiday Inn has put some money into this property, but they really have go shed the extreme corporate image. We are here right now and I've got a couple of significant issues. The hotel has brand new.smart TVs with no WiFi capability. Now normally I wouldn't have a huge issue with this, but you see the pool and deck now closes at 7 p.m. This is a problem because there is very little else to do in the evening ( the movie theater had to close). I really don't understand why these Smart TVs aren't equipped for guests especially as the Netflix subscribers has swelled past 172 million worldwide. This seems very simple to fix. I would think Holiday Inn would want to distract guests in the evening since all guests are NOT in the pool area at night. The employees are always helpful and friendly which makes me like the property even more. I

Yelp
So disappointed. We are owners and pay a maintenance fee every year. It obviously doesn't go towards clean rooms and working utilities. We had to put a sheet over the filthy couch before we sat on it. The air conditioning was stuck at 76 degrees and took hours for maintenance to fix. Overall very unhappy and wish I could dump this timeshare. What a mistake we made.

Yelp
Absolutely hands down do not do do the vacation club sales pitch they're awful they don't pay attention to anything you say they talk over the top of you and this gentleman at the end says we r lying about our life which is insane ooo and it was 3 hours 15 minutes not the 2 hours they claim it will be. We wanted to know costs (which finding on your web site is impossible) just saying save your time save your energy don't bother worst sales pitch ever. If I could give less stars I would

Yelp
First off I'm a Wyndham owner and this is by far nowhere near Wyndham standards, Worst vacation ever, walls are paper thin could hear everything our neighbors were doing asked to be moved several times, they said NO , suffered a whole week of this with nothing being done about it, videoed roaches crawling out of AC Vent above our bed, then spoke with counter person who put me to manager at 10am who said she would call owner services and call me, 7 hours go by she calls and said nothing could be done, I said let me talk to them, how convenient she waited till after they closed then called me. Then told me she was having this conversation with me anymore. If you come to this resort hope your vacation goes 110% smooth because it doesn't you're on your own don't do nothing to fix any problem whatsoever

Yelp
This is a time share where I am an owner. This is my first time back in 8 years and I am GRAVELY DISAPPOINTED. Holiday Inn took over from Ron Jon Cape Caribe a number of years ago and changed for the WORSE. First when I arrived they tried to get me to sign up for ANOTHER time share SALES TOUR to upsell my ownership. I declined but then found out that since I didn't attend the sales pitch I have to PAY TO USE beach chairs and umbrellas that were included in my previous ownership. Second, there is NO MAID SERVICE! Then why am I charged maintenance and SERVICE FEES every year!? Third, you have to BUY YOUR OWN TOILET PAPER and toiletries!!!!! This is UNACCEPTABLE for owners at this resort!!!! Holiday Inn - you have really screwed up this amazing place and made it the CHEAPSKATE RESORT destination in Florida. You devalued my timeshare and made me a disgruntled owner!
google avatar

Cori A.

Yelp
Great for families, we come every year! Older resort but very spacious villas, lots of amenities and on the beach! This used to be Ron Jon's Cape Caribe Resort it's now Holiday Inn Vacation Club. It is a timeshare Resort however you can just reserve a room overnight or for a night or two. It has a very late check-in and a very early check out but you can utilize the facilities for the two full days. Because we are local we usually book single nights get here early, swim and enjoy the amenities check out the next day and then stay all day weather permitting. There is plenty to do inside if it rains. including a small movie theater, and ping pong that is complimentary and an indoor play place for the Wee Ones. This is a do-it-yourself housekeeping Villa. You have a washer dryer combo in the room and a towel exchange down below on the first floor. Each Villa has a full kitchen, with the exception of the studios which only have a mini fridge and microwave. Each room has a pull out sofa bed. The Villas are very spacious, and balconies are large. There are two buildings one on Beachside and are usually more expensive. The main building has all of the amenities and free golf cart service to take you to beach.

Yelp
My husband and I have been going to this resort for twelve years. We love it! There is so much to do at the resort - mini golf, movies, beach, pool, game room, etc. Plus, the location can't be beat! Port Canaveral had a recent upgrade and it will only be getting better. The same is true for the town of Cape Canaveral. There are fun places to go and great restaurants. We are "owners" at the resort and go back about once every other year. We always look forward to it! The oceanside rooms are spacious, well decorated, and clean. Plus, the views are amazing! There is a tram to take people from the beach to the main building (pool area), but on the next visit I don't think we'll be at that pool much. There is a construction project happening now that includes a new pool, and I am so excited to have a pool closer to the beach building. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. If you are going for the timeshare pitch, or an owner update, I highly recommend working with Brian. He's been there many years, is super laid back, and so easy to work with. This is a great place to stay for couples or families. I wish we could move in and stay forever!

Yelp
Great stay ! Courteous staff! Clean everything! Great activities, fun arcade room good bar & food. The suite was amazing comfortable beds and very clean. One view was the cruise ships at the other side is the beach side!! Great balcony with seating area and table to enjoy the sites, even with the afternoon rain!

Yelp
Signs everywhere that remind you that "Germs don't take vacations", great staff, amazing pools, lots for kids to do. We had a two bedroom with LOTS of space! Full kitchen that's stocked! A Publix not far as well as restaurants! What's not to love?! Only complaint was with one of our toilets but ugh, whatever we were enjoying the vacation without that bathroom anyway!

Yelp
Hello I am going thru a probate period because a 10 person suite was given to me. With looking at all the bad reviews about how the place has changed over the years I am very concerned how Holiday Inn has let the resort run down. My wife has been an owner since day one, the resort use to be very nice. I lost her to cancer last year. I will be thinking about letting the timeshare just foreclose. With the high cost of fees this place should be up to date and spotless. And as for the positive reviews of 20 words or less was probably sent by the company themselfs. Thanks to all for the heads up about this what sounds like a dump. You may have saver me slot of money. Russell Farnandez

Yelp
Blah. I really almost want to do a review with just one word -- "BLAH" -- because it really kind of sums up my feelings on it. But, as alas I am me, I will not. The perks: 1. Mini golf course in the courtyards. Great way to entertain both kids and adults. 2. The pool area. Who doesn't love a lazy river and great lounging potential? But also great splash areas for kids. Total win. 3. The poolside cafe. Despite all the blah reviews, our burgers and fries were wonderful. Plus poolside happy hour 4-7. And those rum drinks, mmmmm. 4. The price, when we did the timeshare presentation. 5. Other vacation amenities like movie theater, kids zone indoor play place, activities, and games to check out. The bad: 1. The room. It was discordant colors and two tiny double beds crammed into one tiny room that had no business hosting people. My mom slept on the couch because two reasonable adults cannot fit in a double bed. 2. The room location. We were facing a street, when the rooms along the pool were most definitely all full. We were almost 10 minutes from the pool. 3. The distance from the beach. You have to take a shuttle. And then walk down a looooong Boardwalk. How is this a beachfront resort? 4. The location. I felt like I was driving to the site of a horror movie through industrial parks. And then all but a couple restaurants were at least 10-15 minutes away. So, as a timeshare place? Total bomb. As a family vacation? Not a bad vacation, but a bit too old and a bit weird. And I hope you don't want to be right on the beach AND pool because you can only have one or the other...

Yelp
Horrible customer service . extremely rude and unhelpful woman in the front lobby ushered us to a counter then when we had questions after we checked in she acted irritated and said we'd have to get back in a line and wait for another customer services representative at registration. Apparently she's on a need to know basis and doesn't seem to know anything ... she carried around an old school clip board of papers with guests names on it , 2020 what? The upside building B and the two bedroom suite was absolutely beautiful! it had just been remodeled. Wine cooler , super nice kitchen , gorgeous interior .....everything that we had wanted paying as much as we did . They could figure out their customer service the resort would be getting much better review. Look happy to see your guests when they arrive

Yelp
So... where do I start. I have been coming here since they opened as RonJons. I was actually excited that IHG purchased the property as I have been a platinum member for 7 years. We used to be a time share owner when it was RonJons but switched it to a sister property closer to the pier. I have never had a bad stay and always enjoyed our family vacation. Keep in mind I have been here atleast 1 week a year since they opened several years ago. So, this visit... I booked my oceanfront room in December. When I arrived my reservation said "Oceanside" I didnt think too much about it until I got to the room. They put us in a 2bdr unit on the second floor with no view of the ocean whatsoever. We see trees (see picture I posted). I called the front desk and asked what the deal was with this room... they told me sorry and nothing else is available. Really? So, I actually went back up to the front desk and talked to the manager. He told me he aploogizes but there is nothing he can do because they are completely booked. I said when I booked my room there were several oceanfront condos available and why am I being bumped as a long time platinum member. . His reply was that it is an ongoing issue with IHG..wait a second, IHG owns this property so its your problem as well. He told me to send him an email describing the situation and he would explain it to IHG. Hmmmm. I have to send an email while iam on vacation? I need a break from email thats why iam on vacation. Didnt I just explain the problem to you? Nothing was done, so, there is no reason for me to be upset, I was not compensated or nothing. I stay at IHG properties atleast 30 weeks a year.. guess what? I will never be back to this property again nor ANY IHG property for business travel either.. if this was their competitor (marriot where iam platinum elite as well) would have remediated the issue at the point it happened since they appreciate my business. The property itself is nice. A lot of activities for kids and adults and a lot of restaurants nearby. The room is clean and comfortable but they really need to update the appliances and furniture. . This is the same stuff that has been here since they opened. Its a great place for kids but apparently they have some serious issues with booking. When RonJon owned it there were never issues. Goodbye IHG

Yelp
So I am going to be fair and relay my experience. I am an IHG Gold member, so I am ordinarily a fan of Holliday Inn. But this particular one needs much help. Let's start with the pricing, I paid right at $300 a night for a 2 bedroom room. The room was very unkept and badly needs updating. It was also missing a lot of your hotel room essentials. I stay at many hotels and a fair price for this too would have been no more than $129 a night. Customer service was lacking as well. From the moment I checked in the feeling that I got from the clerk was a "I'm just here to collect a check" feeling. My wife asked a question to an employee at the pool who first pulled out his ear plugs and said, "what?" My wife is hard to get bothered but she got upset about that. I honestly suggest this place send their employees through some customer service management. I will say that the pool was nice. The pictures of the place leads you to believe this place is on the beach, it isn't. And honestly had I known that I wouldn't have stayed here. They do send a shuttle to the beach though. There's only one restaurant and we ate there twice. I thought it was ok. My wife didn't care for it. The customer service there though was pretty good. Kudos to the waitresses! All in all this place just needs a complete work over. Everything from the painted volleyball, instead of just buying a new volleyball, so much appears to be covered up by paint. Well, even in that there are plenty of other things that could use paint. It how about this? Replace some stuff or at least lower your outrageous prices if you don't want to.

Yelp
Arrived to spend a couple of days prior to a cruise. Great location for access to the port. We checked in about noon with check-in advertised for 4pm. We asked if we could get in early but the resort was full and the front desk clerk said they would notify us when the room was ready. Icould tell that the front desk people were just saying no because that was their instructions. We were invited to use the property while we waited. We went to the pool area which is huge. It has a lazy river, slide, and stuff for kids. No problem great! Except there is no towels at the pool I finally ask someone where the towels are and they "the front desk". So I walk all the way back and get towels. The front desk didn't tell us or give us any towels in the first place. Not so happy with their service so far. One of the persons we were trraveling with told us that the day before, when they arrived, even though the front desk said 4pm for check in and they would call, when they went up there a couple of hours early they got in. They then received their call at 7pm that there rooom was ready. So I check, and the answer is no. I go back about 2pm and they say not yet. Then I offer the clerk $20 and magically a room is ready!! The restaurant is mediocre. You will notice almost no one in there. We had asked the front desk during our stay if there was shuttle service and they said yes at 10am and 12pm. We show up at 12pm and ask about the shuttle. The clerk says well "it comes only if you sign up". We took an Uber which was very quick and inexpensive. All-in-all the resort was fine. It's not convenient to go out if you don't have a car, however Uber is everywhere, and our experience was they were quick, and cheap. I am giving this 2 star rating because of the surly, relatively unhelpful front desk. Otherwise I would have given 3.

Yelp
Pluses: Indoor kids play area Pool, splash pad and lazy river Mini-golf out front Shuttle service to the beach Minuses: Time share resort (didn't know this when I booked on IHG.com) - so, no maid service during our stay Room was very dingy and overdue for a remodel by at least 15 years - carpet was filthy, furniture looked grubby and baseboards needed to be cleaned Restaurant needs a service overhaul - both the food and staff - slow, poor service and underwhelming food quality Definitely will not stay here again.

Yelp
I don't know where to start. Literally the worst hotel staff ever. They talk poorly about the customers in front of other customers. The onsite restaurant should change the hours of operation to "open when we feel like it" - they closed 30 mins early one night, opened 3 hours late another day (they needed to have an emergency meeting so they literally shut the restaurant down for 3 hours from 9am-12pm. No coffee, no breakfast, no water. The woman literally directed me to a water fountain. I was embarrassed for her customer service skills. Just do yourself a favor and find another resort. I could not wait to leave this one.

Yelp
They charged the FULL amount of my 2 day stay on the day I made my reservation even though it was a AAA rate, not a prepaid rate. I cancelled within the cancellation period over a week ago and I am still trying to get my money back. I have now disputed the charge with my credit card company. Never again with these people - buyer beware.

Yelp
Other than the great pool facilities. They lied about the jacuzzi working. Then said it worked partially, only hot water. The entire staff except for Dennis was rude and had a "I don't care attitude ". It's like they dislike their jobs. Very upset to be constantly ignored after staying three nights. Very glad I turned down the buy in talk, which is ALWAYS a bad investment. Five grown men could not figure out how to sell me NASA tickets. I waisted 30 minutes on a "run around". They kept trying to put me at the front desk waiting for an employee 15 minutes late for work. The last one Brian needed soap for his "nasty mouth". It's extremely offensive to pay so much money in a bad place. I stayed three nights. Also, the facility was less than half booked and they stuck me right next to the construction site building a new cruise ship port-beep! beep! beep! from 7am to 6pm. Then I was informed I was to be charged a fifty dollar cleaning fee if I was to change suites.

Yelp
The resort is really a wonderful place to stay, if you're willing to spend an hour or more on the phone being transferred from one agent to another, one number to another just to make a reservation for something you spent thousands of dollars to purchase!! Not a good way to treat owners!! I will make it my life's mission to stop anyone from purchasing anything from the holiday inn vacation club orange lakes!
