We stayed on a weekend when they were fully booked, as was just about every hotel in the Tahoe/Carson City area.
Pros:
*Our room was immaculate and very modern in decor / lighting. They even have that behind-the-TV light that's so popular these days.
*Housekeeping staff here are a group of rock stars! I don't know how much they pay them, but it's not enough. They were ALL friendly and helpful, and I cannot emphasize how clean they kept not only the rooms, but the halls, lounge and pool area, even when the place was fully booked. One of the ladies was in the hall with the cleaning cart and I told my kids "see, that's why I tell you not to make a mess -- someone has to work hard to clean it up." She kidded around with them, "Oh NO! You're not messy are you???" Which set us all off laughing.
*Breakfast was great! I was worried about this because I have a finicky husband and kids who are like bottomless pits and I saw how people were complaining about the eggs & no waffle maker, but there was a w-i-d-e variety of things to choose from all the way from indulgent treats to healthy choices: canadian bacon, biscuits and gravy, scrambled (yes, powdered-- oh noes!) or hard boiled eggs, fresh baked cinnamon rolls (Surgeon General's warning: these are addictive) and a pancake machine that cooked pancakes at the push of a button. My family and I liked that a lot more than the messy / time consuming waffle irons at other places we've been at. There was also lots of bread choices (english muffin, wheat bread, etc.) cold cereal or tons of oatmeal choices, fresh fruit, many kinds of yogurt, juices, milk, coffee, tea, and on and on...
*Pool was super clean, and though it was small and the place was booked, we often had it to ourselves.
*Cozy lounge with cookies / ice water and comfy couches in lobby.
*Right next to freeway for convenience, but I never heard any freeway noise in our room. Or other guests. Or noise from the hall. Which is remarkable considering how full the place was.
Cons:
*Desk staff was less enthusiastic about helping out. They weren't bad, just kind of meh and not as overwhelmingly friendly/outgoing/helpful as the housekeeping staff. Go figure. For example my son asked the clerk if he could have one of the cookies. He replied "Sure, just take a napkin and don't make a big mess all over the place."
*Breakfast room got crowded. I'd advise going earlier, as getting a table near 8-9 was very difficult.
