The housekeeping staff was friendly and did a great job. The front desk people were professional, friendly and very helpful. The only downside was the breakfast crew. Good came out slowly, although you could see it was cooked, just sitting in the kitchen. When the bacon finally came out, it was room temperature at best. This would have been a 5 start stay if they would create a better breakfast experience. We stayed here 3 nights and the review was the same for all three mornings. Great job to the entire staff except the kitchen crew.

Perhaps the friendliest, most bubbly and smiley-est reception clerk (E) that I've ever encountered at any hotel greeted our party when we checked in and got our brief stay off to a wonderful start. When the night clerk (A) came on duty, we found her to be equally as pleasant. (Holiday Inn should pay attention and be sure to hold on to these employees and the manager who trained them.) Our rooms were ready on time and very nicely appointed. The breakfast was the standard Holiday Inn fare. What made THIS Holiday Inn stand out for me was the cordial nature of the staff. Every employee that we encountered seemed to be genuinely happy that we were there and tried to improve our stay. The pool was lovely but, unfortunately, very noisy. It features a beautiful but somewhat loud waterfall, a ridiculously, oppressively loud hot tub and (on the day we stayed) several screaming kids who seemed to not mind the noise at all. (What's a pool without kids?) While the pool is conveniently located and easy to access, the water seemed less than pristine. Not dirty certainly, and it appeared safe, but perhaps in need of a vacuuming. I would certainly consider this as a nice place to spend a night or even a several nights if I were staying longer

We booked this hotel last minute for our family of five. We got a room with 2 queens and they gave us a rollaway bed for free.||The room and hotel were very very clean and comfortable. My son even asked them for a razor and shaving cream which they gave him for free. They had Dove shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. ||We did not use the pool but it looked cool!||The free breakfast was top notch and abundant. The manager obviously treats staff well because they were all very friendly and nice. Breakfast was over at 10am and then all the staff went in and got food. The manager even poured milk for one of his staff which I thought was just so sweet. They looked like one big happy family!

My sis and I stay here on Father's Day weekend. We had a fabulous time. Sloan at the front desk was very friendly and attentive. We asked for extra blankets and they were delivered to our room promptly. The pool area is lovely and we really enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

I was greeted by a very friendly young lady, she offer suggestions on food and things to do in town. Our room was clean and comfortable, our last hotel had very uncomfortable beds, so it was nice to relax and sleep in comfort. Breakfast had a great selection of food and it was all hot and easy to access. We will definitely visit again on our next trip.

This hotel is ideally location on the north end of Moab, with easy access to U.S. Highway 191 (North Main Street). From here, you are only minutes away from the entrance to Arches National Park and much closer to the east entrance to Canyonlands National Park. You will also love the stunning natural beauty just outside the front door of the hotel. The hotel is rather sleek and modern, offering the perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and outdoor excitement. The rooms are very spacious, clean and comfortable and there is a free complimentary breakfast offering both hot and cold breakfast options. However, we were not at all impressed with the breakfast bar and after the first day, decided to get breakfast in town. The hotel has an outdoor swimming pool with hot tub/jacuzzi and a descent exercise room with free weights and treadmills. Finally, there is plenty of free parking at the hotel and all interactions with staff personnel were positive.

If you don’t care about the pool being open or your room being given away or the staff being unorganized, then it’s a great place to stay. This place has the potential to be a great hotel. It’s clean, safe, close to everything, and great free breakfast, but there were several issues that kept me from giving a good rating. 1) An hour after check-in they made us switch rooms because of THEIR mistake - they gave another family our room and gave them keys while we were still in the room - didn’t even help us move our stuff 2) Pool was closed for maintenance and that’s the whole reason we picked this place 3) Our key cards randomly stopped working and we had to go down and get them reactivated

The staff was very helpful and took great care of our family. The pool was nice to cool off after visiting the sunny parks. We took advantage of the complimentary breakfast. The hotel was only 5min from Arches National Park. Thomas and Juan (staff) were great!

Yelp
Great location! Close to arches and downtown moab. Plenty of parking. (Don't miss the turn!) The hotel felt pretty clean. Lost a star for the strange housekeeping. They brought some new towels and made the bed, but they didn't wipe down the shower or put a new bag in the garbage can. Breakfast starts at 6 am, which is nice to get the day started. Breakfast had a pretty decent sized selection. Gym looks outside with amazing views. It had cardio equipment and free weights. They have 2 outdoor hot tubs and a pool. Pool area was clean and provided towels. I would recommend.

Yelp
We took a shower and the water wouldn't drain. It was past 10 pm but we called in (only one of us was able to take a shower yet), and the staff that came with the snake to unplug the drain was super nice and efficient. Problem solved in ten minutes. But would imagine they would check for such problems during cleaning... Then we found a big cockroach crawling along the wall. Immediately closed up all our bags and called front desk again. The same guy (who was super nice) gave us another room and we were moved upstairs. While service was nice, whole experience was tiring and gross after a long day of hiking through the arches. Had nightmares about cockroaches all night. A shame, really, because otherwise the facility is clean and pleasant. Breakfast crew was also super diligent in keeping food stocked and nice. I'd say everything is top notch with perhaps a hiccup with the cleaning crew.

Yelp
My family and I spent Thanksgiving week at this Holiday Inn Express in Moab, Utah. It was pretty much full at the time and was extremely busy. Shoni was the clerk at the front desk. He was personable, attentive and incredibly helpful on number of occasions when I approached him even though he was busy with other customers and issues going on at the time. He definitely multitasks well and truly knows customer service. The hotel is nice and clean. We like the fact that it is NOT PET FRIENDLY, since my wife and daughter are highly allergic to pet dander. We will certainly stay here again when visiting Arches and Canyonland. Thank you

Yelp
Good location as you come into town from the north. This property is currently going under renovations and I believe they're almost done but there were definitely workers in the building. Room is spacious and great renovations. No carpet in room which I loved. Pool I believe is open year-round. It was currently open and heated enough that the kids were able to swim in 60° weather. Breakfast wasn't great, which they never are but the only hot food was pancakes Full size Dove products in the bathroom. Safe in the closet.

Cat R.

Yelp
I really wish I'd grabbed the name of the gal at the desk on 8.31.2024 because her customer service skills are AMAZING! There was an issue with our reservation that was just one of those things. I didn't even realize there was an issue because she had fixed everything (and made it right) before we even checked in. I'll be back!

Dale Z.

Yelp
Very clean!!! Room smelled SO fresh!! Beautiful pool with towels at the pool. Very clean everywhere in the hotel.

Kaycee M.

Yelp
Staff was nice, breakfast was good, bedroom was clean but the shower was gross. The shower curtain had stains on it. Stains aren't great but at least you can tell the curtain had been cleaned so that wouldn't have bothered me, but it also had something crusty on it so we could tell it hadn't been washed. The walls had stuff on them and the corners had slimy pink stuff in them, so it clearly hadn't been cleaned or at least not very well. I told the front desk and asked for a clean curtain and for the shower to be cleaned. When we got back you could tell someone had been there as the items on the counter had been moved to the side and the shower curtain had been pulled to the middle but the shower had not been cleaned and the curtain was still crusty. I'm not one to complain. Even asking for the shower to be cleaned was out of my comfort zone so I couldn't get myself to say anything again. We showered quickly and without pulling the curtain closed. We've stayed here before without complaints so we might give it another try but I'm not sure. I was going to give 3 stars but the morning we were going to check out housekeeping knocked on the door around 9:30. They knocked twice but before we could get to the door they opened it even though we had the "do not disturb" sign on the handle.

Marlin J.

Yelp
Not the worst hotel ever but not really up to my standards. It was very hard to even find the place as it is hidden at the bottom of a hill with no good signs telling you where to turn. The room was mostly clean except for a questionable stain on the couch. The worst part was the shower, which was clogged with many other peoples hair, and started backing up filling the tub ankle deep with hairy old water. Also I moved the shower head down cause it was angled too high and a bunch of black mold particles came falling out from inside of it. By the time the water drained hair from numerous guests was sitting in the tub. Gross! This place was okay otherwise, but for that reason I doubt I'd ever return.

Yelp
The good: Location cannot be beat if going to Arches. Pool is very cute, probably really nice in the summer. The bad: Oven was broken, no hot eggs at breakfast. Tried the hard boiled eggs and they tasted nasty and made my husband sick. There was no heated outdoor pool. There were three bodies of water, yes. One was a frigid outdoor pool (it was October, so I'm not complaining about that). But the hotel info claims there is an outdoor pool, a heated outdoor pool and a hot tub. While we were there there was an outdoor pool, a large outdoor hot tub with jets but no heat, and then a very tiny smaller hot tub that actually was hot. Fortunately no one else was out there so we just crammed into the tiny hot tub. "Business center" is just the hotel lobby, no real quiet place to take a call if you need one outside your room. I mean, it's a holiday inn, so I wasn't expecting a lot. But I've stayed at holiday inns where the stuff works. Still an extra star for location, very convenient.

Yelp
The hotel looks good and is generally clean throughout, however, multiple things detracted from our stay. As IHG Platinum, I was disappointed. 1) Upkeep; our door squeaked and was very loud making entry and exit not only disturbing to other family members, but had to bother other guests. Additionally, our beds creaked and squeaked with every toss and turn. The mattress wasn't all that either and although an option, we were unable to accept terms and stream media on TV. 2) Service! Housekeeping was terrible; floors weren't cleaned/mopped (half room faux tiles). Beds were made, but not changed, towels shorted, and cabinets left open - strange! Finally, try to complain or get help, NOBODY answers at the front desk. After 2-days off intensive hiking, with early mornings and late nights, we quit trying. 3) Free breakfast, just look at the video. Besides not offering what was advertised, one waffle maker broken and two needed. Lots of other brands and options, I'd look elsewhere!

Zoe Z.

Yelp
Check out is at 11am, we left our do not disturb sign up and went out for a walk. We returned back at 10:45- the cleaning lady was in there and had a pile of our stuff on the bed. These people do not understand privacy. She said she thought we left and we were throwing away what was in the room... Unbelievable. Would not recommend based on that alone- but as for the room, AC was incredibly noisy. High pitched whhhhirrrrrr noises coming from it. Every step above us could be heard as well as crying children next to us. Poor insulation.

Yelp
This is the spot to stay if you are visiting Moab/Arches National Park/Canyonlands National Park. It is a few blocks away from Arches! I stayed in a King size room. Large bathrooms, coffee maker, Tv, etc. A standard room with comfortable bed and pillows. Everything was pretty clean. The only thing is on their website they advertise "Separate/Walk-in Shower" and it was just a bathtub. Good shower amenities but no body lotion. Simple but it is in a prime location in downtown.

Yelp
I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites (Moab) for the Easter Jeep Safari week. This is my second stay here in 4 years and I just say that the place looks much newer because of the renovations. Walking in smells like getting into a new car (they have those plug in air fragrance in the hallways) The machines though for breakfast were not functioning, specifically for warm foods, but they did tell me in advance that they were waiting for parts. The cold stuff like milk, cereals, bread, bagels, fruits, yogurt, coffee we're working. Pancake machine was broken but fixed on our second day. I didn't get to use the swimming pools but my kid used the jacuzzi since it was cold at night. The staff, starting with the reception to the housekeeping were great. They were courteous and housekeeping even helped us find my iPhone that we misplaced in the room! There was always someone cleaning a lot, I got in the elevator and housekeeping was wiping down the floor, walls, doors etc. Even with the breakfast machines broken, our stay was great, parking was 9/10 but mainly because of the jeep event. Still walkable when parked far. Parking lot is well lifted at night. Proximity to Arches National Park is great! Think this was the second or third closest hotel to the park! I already made reservation plans to stay here next year! Thanks to the team for welcoming us on our stay!

Kenna M.

Yelp
Someone walked into our room while we were changing. 3 hours after check in, someone was able to scan in their key and enter our room because they had not updated the system???? Honestly, I would just stick to staying anywhere else. Such a bummer giving this a one star because location is great.

Jeff K.

Yelp
Great hotel located close to Arches National Park, the river road and downtown. Large clean room. Great breakfast. My only issue is that housekeeping came in and made the beds, but failed to pick -up dirty laundry and replace with clean towels. Housekeeping also turned off the air conditioning. After a long hot day hiking, you do not want a hot hotel room!

Wayne W.

Yelp
We had a nice stay here. The weather cooperated to give us some nice hiking in Arches, Canyonlands, and around Moab.  The hotel is located on the north end of Moab near the entrance to Arches and for easy driving to Island in the Sky at Canyonlands.  The property is a standard HIE. I think the themed pool area is a bit nicer than typical. With a larger than average hot tub.  I have removed one star since the eco-friendly soap dispenser did not work in the shower (this is a common problem for ¾ of the IHG's I've stayed at). The breakfast could use some potatoes daily or a starch. We opted not to have our room cleaned and the large garbage cans in the vending area were full for two days. So they should be changed more often, but it is a good idea to have them. I'm adding back in a star because I did not see a single mask related sign anywhere on the property. Ahead of their time. And they don't allow pets. I like dogs, but don't need them barking or seeing them at breakfast. Would stay here again.

John L. H.

Yelp
This is a great place to stay in Moab. Moab is one of those places I have wanted to visit for years. All to often those places end up letting me down. Not Moab. It was even cooler than I expected and I am bummed out I only got to spend one day and night here. I like HIE express locations when I'm on the road. The rooms are nice and the breakfast is free. Both are important when you're traveling across the country. This location checked both of those boxes, but also had much more. Location - If you're planning on visiting Arches, and you should, this hotel is about 5-10 minutes from the entrance. It's a little further from downtown but still close enough to be convenient. Breakfast - Hell yes. This free breakfast was standard IHG fare but they also had a bowl of jalapeños and hot sauce. Every free breakfast should have a bowl of jalapeños. Pool - My kids love to swim. They force me to take them to hotel pools. The pool here is the nicest I've ever seen at an IHG. First, it's giant. Second, it has an arch with fire and a waterfall. Baller status unlocked. When we were there the fire was having issues so some guy was on top trying to light it. That was highly entertaining. Another baller feature of this pool is that there was a hot tub. For whatever reason this genius (me) decided it was a good idea to get in a hot tub in the desert. I tried adjusting the temperature to no avail. It was so hot that I could've cooked hot dogs in the water. But I got in anyway. I lasted maybe ten minutes before I was medium well. The staff were also very helpful and friendly. The room was clean, comfortable and up to IHG standards. Because of all the extra perks and the location, this was the most expensive HIE we used on our road trip. It was worth it, and I really can't wait to come back.

Ruthie C.

Yelp
We made our reservations directly with the front desk and Brenna helped us. What a sweetie! She was absolutely delightful to work with. Then, when we arrived Ozzy was on duty and he, too, was just as friendly as could be! I don't know Holiday Inn's hiring practices, but they have a couple of great employees with these two. I know some guests were a little put out because construction made the hotel unable to offer the regular breakfast and instead offered a "sack" breakfast. but when we actually arrived at breakfast there were quite a few yummy choices.

Marty B.

Yelp
I stayed at this location. The room was very comfortable. They had me in the third floor. There is no ice machine or vending machines on the third floor. There is no freezer in the room refrigerator either. The breakfast is nothing more than a joke. I've been traveling for over two weeks now and have stayed at much lower priced hotels and the breakfast was 10 times better at them than this one. For the prices they are charging they should be doing much better than what they are. The parking isn't the greatest here either. I have stayed the the Best Western when traveling through here and I will be retiring to them again next trip.

Priya A.

Yelp
This is a decent hotel to stay at if you are visiting the Arches NP. The hotel is close to the park, but there was road construction going on so there was traffic at certain times. The check-in was quick and to the point. It is a standard IHG hotel. the room we were assigned to was OK. We had reserved King bed with sofa bed option. the sofa bed matress had broken springs and it we had to call the front desk as there is no way anyone can sleep on it. They sent someone with a new mattress, so that is a plus. The bathroom was a bit outdated and small but had adequate toiletries and towels. No cleaning service due to covid. Breakfast was grab and go due to covid. They had good option. we had fruit, bagel, toast, tea/juice, cinnamon rolls, banana bread, boiled eggs, yogurt and some other items. The pool area was good and kiddo and hubby enjoyed. The hotel was pricey but you are paying for the touristy town here so not much we can do about it. overall, a good option for Moab.

Kristina B.

Yelp
Masks signs on doors but even staff doesn't wear masks. Group of people with no masks trying to get breakfast grab and go breakfast made it impossible for responsible people to get breakfast so we left. Fancy new decor. Poor water pressure. Poor social responsibility. Will it be back. Hopefully this isn't representing the Holiday inn franchise because I hesitate to stay at another one this road trip.

Hunter R.

Yelp
Our stay at the Holiday Inn Express Moab was wonderful. We made reservations online through Booking.com, and check in was very smooth upon arrival. The room was very nice and tidy. Amazing pool and breakfast was just right. Only downfall was the workout area was closed and walls were a bit thin where we could here a few doors closing. Would definitely stay again!

L R.

Yelp
There is some evident wear and tear, but overall this hotel is in pretty good condition. The rooms were very clean. I lowered my rating after breakfast because of what was on TV. Places like this should not allow MSNBC or Fox News on TV. These are highly biased and not very factual. Either will make some guests feel unwelcome. They had Fox News on (https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/fox-news-bias/) so we would never return.

K B.

Yelp
TERRIBLE!! Charged us for 3 nights when we stayed 1. Wouldn't reverse the charges. Stated we asked to extend our stay, change rooms and get new keys (when we weren't even in UT and had already checked out). General Manager has failed tremendously with customer service. She was beyond rude, incompetent, unprofessional and confrontational. After 2 days of numerous phone calls to the GM, who consistently hung up on us, we received a call from a front desk employee from her cell phone (probably so that it wasn't on the recorded line), the charges were finally reversed (after she scanned the surveillance cameras showing we left the hotel when we said we did). We had already made a call into our credit card company and Holiday Inn Corporate by the time they called us back. However, 24 hours after the charges were reversed we had a fraudulent charge for $600 for bitcoin.

Jim B.

Yelp
It's March of 2022, and I guess the Holiday Inn Express is still riding the Covid train. House cleaning is every 4 days , so the trash is stacking up, the towels are stacking up. So far two coffee machines have failed. To there credit did give us a full box of coffee pods and a pile of bath towels. We come every year and next year I'll inquire as to how they are doing business before booking. In March of 2020 they were doing great.

Marissa D.

Yelp
I could give it zero I would. I am a female of Asian descent travelling with a service animal. The animal is registered on my IHG profile (I am sure the IHG Club can confirm when this was included). Check in went well and I had my service dog with me. I was not asked any questions or given any instructions. The SA was well behaved and calm at all times. At check out, the Manager came out and said that I don't 'look' disabled and it was a 250$ fine. I indicated that he was a service animal. She said that she was there at check in and I didn't inform them. The SA was sitting beside me during check in and he is on my reservation and account profile. Unless asked, I believe that information was provided. Then Harry at check out proceded to verbally abuse me, called me a liar, indicated that I just changed my profile now and said that service animals for the Holiday Inn need to wear a 'uniform'. While my service animal vest was in the car (we ran in to grab bags and check out), to my knowledge, the website does not mention any 'uniform' requirement. I have never been treated so badly and felt soo discrimitated against. There are other, more welcoming places in Moab. Stay away from the Holiday Inn Express

Tina R.

Yelp
The room smelt like horrible like sewage. They were aware there was issues with the room but issued it to us anyway. Refused to refund and of $ on the room. Only 1 ice machine for a desert hotel and it wasn't working properly.

Nathan A.

Yelp
I booked a king room using the IHG app and when I arrived at the hotel i was told that "they don't have a king room for me and they are always sold out of king rooms". First I paid in full in advance for the king room and second why are you having a young kid with a hand written name tag tell me instead of the "manager on duty" who was hiding in the office? My option at 9:00 PM on a Monday was to accept the queen bed room or find another hotel and pay for an additional room to get what I want. I took my room because I was tired after driving for 9 hours and went to my room. I had to carry my wifes and my luggage because the carpet is so old and stretched out that the bags wouldn't roll down the hallway. The young man at the desk kept saying that I was getting a queen suite but when I arrived at the room I found a standard room with a queen bed and a desk that smells like my grandfather just went #2 in the bathroom while smoking a cigar. The grab bar in the shower is falling off the wall, the toilet seat was so loose I almost slid off sideways when I sat down. I fixed both with my multitool that I carry in my computer bag (your welcome Holiday Inn). The bed was awful and for some reason the desk chair is higher on the left side than the right, I gave up and worked from the couch and used my luggage as a desk. The hotel is close to Arches and looked like it had a nice pool from the pictures on the app but I doubt that I will be here long enough in the morning to check it out. If you are coming to Moab I am sure there are better and cheaper options in town to try and they will probably get you the room that you paid for and it will not smell like an old mans bowel movements.

Kirk G.

Yelp
This property is a shining example of what I think a guest expects from a Holiday Inn Express Hotel. Friendly welcome, smooth checkin, everything clean and ready for a carefree stay. Super friendly staff, check to make sure you are happy and don't need anything. Pool 84° hot tub 103°, very clean, welcoming and relaxing. Rooms are roomy, clean and well appointed with everything you need for a great stay. Breakfast is as good as it gets for a complimentary start to your day. I've stayed at this property several times, and will return anytime I'm planning a stay in the Moab area, and recommend to anyone considering as there are a number of mediocre options nearby at a comparable rate.

Phil Y.

Yelp
We normally don't stay at the Holiday Inn's when on vacation as our hotel points program is with another hotel chain. But, with not much of a choice in Moab, UT, we decided to stay here. The hotel is about a 5 minute drive to Arches National Park and is located on the outskirts of the city of Moab. We stayed for one night. So, we didn't get to experience too much of anything. Check in was quick and easy. Our room was upstairs on the third floor with a nice view of the red rocks outside. Our room was more than adequate and gave us all that we needed. My wife was happy with their television line up. She was able to watch HGTV and dream. The bed was comfortable and gave me a good night of sleep. They had soap and lotion from Bath and Bodyworks. They had a large breakfast area. Even though it looked large, it wasn't large enough for the many people staying at the hotel. It seemed like most of us woke up at the same time to have breakfast. They had the normal hotel breakfast of eggs, sausage, yogurt, and oatmeal. It's a pretty good hotel for a one night stay. I wouldn't mind staying at this Holiday Inn Express again.

Jack H.

Yelp
About what you'd expect from a cheaper hotel. Disappointed in the breakfast as they only had a couple apples and some prepackaged pastries. Don't expect a full meal

MaryAnn R.

Yelp
Great location, kind guest services, clean and quiet room. Hot tub was perfect and pool is beautiful. Make sure to get to the Arches National Park before 7 am otherwise park fills up in the mornings. If the park is full there is a strenuous but incredible hike into Corona Arches. It's the prettiest Arch we saw while here. Also don't miss the Petra Glyphs while driving to Corona Arches.

Clare B.

Yelp
Great location near Arches National Park. Simple clean hotel great for a stay in Moab. Some rooms have a sofa bed which is convenient. Wanda at the front desk was super nice and friendly. She went out of her way to make guest's stays extra special. It's that extra touch of service, something as simple as checking in on you while waiting in the lobby that really leaves a great impression and is so appreciated.

Ajay H.

Yelp
This hotel is great! The proximity to Canyonlands National Park and Arches National Park can't be beat! Also, this hotel is conveniently located less than 10 minutes to Main Street in Moab, where you can get your fill of the world's most average food! Overall, the front desk staff, housekeeping staff, kitchen staff, and room service staff made our 3 night stay quite pleasant with their attentive and detailed service. Although we had a bit of an issue during checkout where we had requested a couple of extra hours (our key was deactivated prior to the newly agreed checkout time), the rest of our experience and stay was nothing short of amazing; would definitely stay at this hotel if I ever return to the area!

Andrew S.

Yelp
Lodging options in Moab are fairly limited, but this hotel is certainly the cream of the crop, and while it is fairly pricey for an express hotel, it has been great both times we have stayed here and is certainly our choice for future visits too. Check in and check out are really easy, and the staff always friendly and helpful. The rooms are basic but well equipped for what they are with a nice seating area complete with couch, TV, refrigerator, air conditioning that works great (and needed in Moab believe me!) and comfortable beds. Really no major complaints about the rooms except for one thing - no safe, but this didn't really pose any problem for us. The hotel has free WiFi which is nice, and unlike a lot of hotel internet connections, this one is actually fast and perfectly useable even for uploading pictures to social media. Saves a lot of use of cellular data for sure! The hotel has a decent pool, I mean it's shallow and not very big, but fun to hang out in on an evening to cool down. Has two hot tubs and a fire pit too. The complementary breakfast is pretty much par for the course, but it's a decent selection and certainly better than many and enough to get you setup for a hard day of hiking the National Parks. Location wise, this is super close to Arches (5 minutes drive) which is great. The only minor catch is it's about 2 miles from downtown Moab where the majority of restaurants and bars are (the hotel only does breakfast and has no bar) and options for transport like taxi's, Uber etc. are pretty much non-existent. There is a person who runs a shuttle but we didn't try it. This is of course only an issue if you want to drink and have to walk it - we did, and while it's not paved the whole way it's do-able. The closest place to this is a bar/restaurant called The Atomic, that is only 0.3 miles away. It has fairly decent food and is a good place to stop for drinks too if you don't want to wander too far. So overall, really great hotel by Moab standards, and definitely our one of choice.

Yelp
Good location to Arches and Canyonlands. While checking in I could tell I was a bother, no run down of the room price and pre-authorization on my card no eye contact no greeting just kind of what do you want. Now Working in service for ten years I get having a bad day, but that was the vibe the entire stay. Room had spider webs above the bed with bugs in them. Carpet in the hallways was coming up so badly that luggage and luggage carts were difficult to get in and get out. Probably will find a different choice to stay in when we come back.

Yelp
No hot water in the morning. Staff hardy enforces masks. Not that great of an experience. Also screw jetted tubs they're nasty.

Yelp
Breakfast was disappointing. No milk or orange juice. The cereal was hidden because of no milk. But lot's of coffee. The hotel is hosting a motorcycle event so all the bikes are parked around the front entrance. There is still room for one car to pass through but not if you open each side door. The bikers have taken all the chairs at the pool , save 2, for their afternoon liquor party. Apparently no glass at the pool does not apply to Jameson, Tequila, vodka or other mixer containers. We are not here with children but feel bad for those who are here 100% true. June 14th.

Yelp
I have to start out with this!! My son forgot his GOPRO at the hotel last year. 3 hours after we left he says, dad I left my GoPro. We called. They couldn't find anything. GO FIGURE RIGHT!! 400.00 GONE!! The next day we get a call and they found it in the bedding!!! We paid the shipping and they sent it back to us!! AMAZING AND HONEST! Again we stayed this year. Still great and friendly service. Breakfast was good with a good selection to choose from! Pool was clean and nice. Rooms were nice and clean!!! Great choice and we will stay again!!!

Yelp
A surprise getaway in Moab. So many hotel/motel/lodges to choose from but for the price and experience I would recommend staying here if you are planning to visit arches or canyonlands national parks. They allow 24hr check in. Check in/out is so easy. Came during the winter time so didn't get to check out their pool but they do have a 24hr access to the fitness gym. Continental break fast was so good! They have a wide array of healthy and hefty options: omelet, veggie egg white omelette, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy and a self serve pancake maker. For a complimentary hotel breakfast I'm pretty impressed! It's also nice that they give you granola bars to go if you're gonna go out and about for your day escapades. As far as the rooms. We got the suite which perfectly fits us 5 girls comfortably (2queen and a pull out sofa). As said definitely a great place to stay in the area. Would come back here

Yelp
We enjoyed our stay at this holiday inn Express Suites Moab. The best part was the outdoor pool and hot tub area. There was even a really nice fireplace outdoors to enjoy. We stayed 2 nights. The free breakfast was better than most (typical Holiday inn express breakfast), and everyone was very friendly. The location is awesome for visitors to Arches National Park. It is one of the closest hotels to the park and just a few minutes drive into downtown Moab!

Yelp
On our recent trip to Moab, Colorado we stayed at the Holiday Inn Express & were pleasantly surprised at how professional and clean this establishment presents it self. Shopping around for a two night stay using Yelp we found this Holiday Inn to be of good value. Conveniently located only a few miles from Arches National Park, Amenities include a heated pool, hot tub & free continental breakfast. Matt at the front desk was very helpful planing our trip to view the petroglyphs at Newspaper Rock In Monticello as well as several other venues along the mighty Colorado River.

Yelp
I had a really bad experience with the male receptionist at this hotel. Our 2 rooms was booked by my friend. At check in I requested the staff to change one of the rooms to my name as I was entitled as a Platinum Elite member to have my status recognised. He took down my number and rushed us off PROMISING that he would change the booking, give me bonus points after we checked in. He did not! When I wrote in to complain, I was fobbed off by 3 different staff saying the computer won't let them! When I rang up, a Ms Fria answered the phone. After hearing my complaint, she put me on hold for 20 mins on an international call. That is IHG rewards solution for a complaint. I hung up and called again and she answered the call. I have difficulty understanding the attitude of IHG and the hotel regarding a simple matter of recognising that I stayed in their hotel and that I am entitled to recognition. The reception staff failed to do his job. I get penalised. All they can say is I should have booked under my own name. I cannot change the booking to my name even though I signed a form changing the booking name to mine and scratching my friend's name off the record. Now get this, at two other IHG hotels in this trip I was able to get my friend's booking to my name and acknowledged that I stayed with them. I received recognition & points. So why can't Moab. If a bank made a mistake they would say sorry and correct the error. Not IHG. Their policy, sorry mate, you did not book under your name, so tough. We do not recognise that you stayed with us even though you occupied a room, slept on our bed etc., signed a form and ate our breakfast! No you friend did all that so we do not recognise you! So all you loyal IHG members, remember that this company is inflexible and will use a technicality to deny you recognition. Do NOT believe the receptionist who promises you he will change your status, certainly not the male receptionist at Holiday Inn Express at Moab. I am now waiting with bated breath to see what IHG is going to do with my membership....... keep tuned!

Yelp
The location was great for us as we were heading to Arches :) plus they had a hot good breakfast as the other hotels we stayed in other state they just used COVID-19 as a excuse to not give us hot breakfast but here was awesome :) The room was clean and decent with a good air conditioner ! Just the in front staff was not that friendly or helpful

Yelp
The room stunk for being new. This place uses styrafoam for their entire breakfast, which last 1000 years. When making my comment at the front desk they stated that they receive many complaints about it everyday. Unfortunately they don't even know who management is and stated that there owner owns over 100 hotels. Outside of this irresponsible environmental choice it comes off incredibly cheap. We didn't eat breakfast due to this issue. My family will never stay at a Holiday again, this was our first time.

Yelp
Great place to stay in Moab. I'm surprised to see a Holiday Inn Express with a fire pit, pool, whirlpool, and a flaming waterfall arch! Very kid friendly, very close to Arches National Park.

Yelp
We visited Moab/Canyonlands (Oct 23-26) and ended up being stranded, temporarily, the day of our departure (10/26/2020) due to truck issues (wouldn't start). The Holiday Inn front desk was so helpful by extending our checkout time twice and then when we had to get an extra night, they got that done for the same price (and same room) as the previous night. Once the truck was fixed and picked up, we checked out of the Holiday and left Moab at 6pm that night, and drove to Phoenix, where we arrived at 12:30am. Holiday Inn Front desk employees were so helpful, thoughtful, kind and sensitive to our unfortunate situation. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELPFULNESS AND ACCOMMODATIONS! Pat K

Yelp
We booked a two queen bed suite room with our IHG award points on IHG website in Sept. 2022 for our Thanksgiving trip in Nov. When we arrived on the Thanksgiving day, the front desk told us that they did not have any two queen bed suite room available for the two days we were staying. We had to take a regular two queen bed suite as it was late and we just drove 5 hours to Moab. The front desk told us that the manager would credit at least 5000 award points back to our account. We did not receive any points during our stay and we checked again with the front desk when we checked out. He said it took a couple days for the manager to process this. However, we never received any award points back. The Hotel is old and outdated. The room we stayed was smelly (cigarette smell) and the carpet was so old and starched out. I would not recommend anyone to stay in this hotel where the interior is depressing, the front desk lied and the manager never showed up and did the work.
