we are frequent Holiday travelers, so when needing an overnight on our travels passing through, this was our first choice. As Holiday Inn 's go this is a decent hotel. We were greeted by very friendly staff, and even received a confirm call about our room selection before arriving. The hotel is clean as well as was our room. The hotel itself is in good shape although it is not the most modern version we have seen. The carpet in our room was starting to show its age, as well as the furniture, but the bed was still clean and comfortable. Our bathroom was functionally fine although the towels were limited. We had trouble with a distinct bad odor upon entering the room, and every time we went in and out it could be detected. It almost had a skunk-like smell. Don't know if it was the individual/s before us, or what, but once in the room we pumped up the air and lost track of it, although it never went fully away. We were staying only one night, so we didn't fuss over it . Basically, we found the staff made up for the room/ hotel short comings.|

The beds are comfortable, but I wish they didn't have such heavy comforters. I would prefer a blanket and bedspread versus the heavy comforters that are so popular now. The bathroom is dated with the shower being inside a small tub enclosure. I prefer showers that you can just step into. The breakfast choices were excellent with several hot foods available. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Easy access to the interstate. Overall, this was a great fit for an overnight stay while traveling.

Google
I can't say enough good things about the staff and accommodations at this Holiday Inn Express. We checked in to escape a power outage, and from start to finish, the staff was kind, solicitous, and accommodating. The internet was blazing fast (and free). After a little over 24 hours at this hotel, I felt as if I'd been on vacation. All the amenities are perfectly maintained and the service is consistently excellent. If I could give this hotel 10 stars, I would.

Excellent place to stop at or stay more than one day. Big clean room. The hotel was clean and presentable, the breakfast was excellent. Kitchen staff was on the ball, there was a good variety of choices to eat. The hotel is in excellent shape with a 100% passing score over all. I believe this is the first 100% score I've issued.

I don't like writing negative reviews but we were disappointed in this property because of the way a situation was handled. There was a horrible grinding sound and vibration from the floor below us. After a couple of hours of listening to this intermittent rumbling and vibration (late afternoon), I reached out to the front desk and a fellow (Mateo) told me he would look into it. He never got back to me.|By 930 pm, the noise had not diminished so I went to the front desk. On my way I noted that we were indeed above the laundry room used by hotel staff for their linens. I spoke to the desk clerk (Julee) who was rather abrupt with me. I explained that I had already complained about the noise. Julee's reply was that the hotel was sold out and if I had a problem I could speak to the manager the next morning and ask for more points. She told me the noise would end at 10 pm which it did. I don't care about the points. I wanted some sleep. |I would definitely avoid room 220.

Google
Let me start by sayin that this is quite a nice hotel. The buffet was wonderful (especially the gossners chocolate milk). The staff were kind, polite and helpful. And the rooms were very nice. Everything was good until we came to a slightly dreadful realization that our bathroom lacked a fan you could turn on at will. You see the problem came about after we had ordered numerous amounts of Taco Bell, taco time, and other various (volatile) foods. Although I think the bathroom has some vent of some kind. Possible the kind that turns on when the light is flipped on. It was not quite the power house that some may need. But. All said and done. Great hotel. Awesome hours for pool and exercise. Nice and quiet.

Yelp
Not all Holiday Inn Express hotels are equal. This one is definitely dated. However, I think Holiday Inn express has one of the best included breakfast. I love their robot that makes pancakes and that they always have high-quality yogurt. It's definitely a much higher quality breakfast than other hotels that include it. Holiday Inn express rooms are always spacious as well.
google avatar

Yelp
I have stayed at a lot of Holiday Inns across the nation. I have read reviews that it's dated. I would disagree. When walking into the lobby and checking in, I could tell it was one of the better hotels. It was clean, the front desk was extremely easy to deal with and professional. The rooms were nice and clean. The showers had hot water always. Holiday inns have a pretty decent breakfast. I am glad to see almond milk available for cereal or oatmeal. If in this area again, I would stay here.

Yelp
Being from this area, I was nervous about staying in a hotel here. I combed through a lot of reviews to make sure I chose the best one. I was pleasantly surprised with how impressive this hotel was. It was modern, clean, and well stocked. Check in was quick and easy, the hotel wasn't ever super busy. I'm sure most people just stop for the night on their way somewhere more fun than Richfield. We stayed for 3 nights over the weekend visiting family for the New Year. The busiest night was definitely Friday. Id assume if it was not a holiday weekend they would have been busy Saturday too. The front desk staff was friendly. We didn't have much interaction with the staff beyond checking in, which is fine. Our room was clean and spacious. We were amazed by how well everything is set up here. Particularly the key card! We loved that it had the breakfast and pool hours, why can't every hotel do this? In the room they had community toiletries, but they were all stocked up, and even a name brand! We were pleasantly surprised to see Dove soaps and lotion. The Keurig and microwave seemed very new. We also had a mini fridge and a kitchen sink. In the cupboard we found paper towels, dish soap, paper plates, utensils, and take-away containers. This was a nice touch. There was also a QR code on the nightstand, which brought up all the information of the hotel and the area including a map of the property. The bed was comfortable and had options of both soft and firm pillows. We did have friends staying as well on the sofa bed, they had a full comforter and pillows for this bed as well in the closet. Most places just give you sheets and a gross felt blanket. So this was a nice surprise as well. The pool was empty 90% of our stay. We liked that it stayed open until 11. We spent some time in the hot tub and the pool. Everything was clean, but the smell of chlorine was overwhelming and burning our eyes. We ended up opening all the windows and propped open the door pretty quickly. The hot tub jets did work - but they really didn't do much. The pool wasn't too cold initially, but after a couple minutes we were shivering. The only towels available in the pool area where the size of a bath mat. So you needed multiple to get even kinda dry. But again, it wasn't busy so there were lots of towels available. I only made it down to breakfast on our final morning, but my husband did bring me a plate up to the room the other days. Breakfast was the same every day, with the exception of bacon instead of sausage links and omelettes. Instead of scrambled eggs on our last day. They had a pancake machine, but it didn't work very well and made goopy mishapen pancakes. There was enough variety that you could definitely have a different option for a couple of days, but kinda disappointing for a hot breakfast. The highlight was the apple muffins and the cinnamon rolls. However, our final morning we did all seem to have the runs afterwards, but we're unable to determine the cause directly. Assuming cross contamination from one bad item. Hopefully a one-time thing! We opted for no housekeeping, as we usually do just for the safety of our things and privacy. We are not reward members but they did offer 500 points a night for opting out. (This was stated on the "do not disturb" cards.) They also did have cards stating that there would be no housekeeping on New Years so the staff could be with their families. Overall, we liked this hotel. However, I will say that I do not think it is worth it's price point for such a remote area.

Yelp
We had the best experience staying here. Everyone and everything was so great. We arrived super late on a Thursday night. The next morning we were welcomes by the amazing smell of breakfast. I wish it went later than 9:30, however we still made it! The breakfast was probably the best free hotel breakfast. Literally had everything. Warm options, cold options, every juice, gluten free options, single servings of bread for toast and premium yogurts and single serve items. My daughter was so excited to see a pancake station that made you fresh pancakes and my son loved the yoplait yogurt, bacon and OJ. I had the biscuits and gravy 2 days in a row (SO YUM). They have the MOST AMAZING lady working at the brekkie area, Pam. She was so wonderful. My daughter spilled some Juice, before I could even go find her she was bringing a towel and consoling my crying daughter who felt so bad. Instead of being annoyed or not saying a word, she took my daughter by the hand and went to get her a coffee cup with a lid and then helped her get some more apple juice. Seriously the sweetest act of kindness. Whoever this may concern THIS WOMAN NEEDS A RAISE AND A GOOD VACA! :) seriously though, thank you Pam. The room was super clean and well stocked with things. Thank you Holiday Inn!

Yelp
Great place to stop off on a road trip! The property is clean and spacious and very nice. Comfortable beds and linens compliment the efficient bathroom which provides Dove washing products. Nice touch!! Hot breakfast has many terrific options from pancakes, biscuit and gravy, turkey sausage and bacon, little omelettes and yummy oatmeal. Various cold cereals, fresh fruit, yogurt, bagels and other toast options. Don't forget the juice machine! The coffee isn't the tastiest though, which is sad because everything else was fabulous. I'd stay here again. Cute town too. Find good eats at Bar86.

Yelp
What does this Holiday Inn not have??? Oh my Ghandi! First things first, we're traveling with the fur babies and they have the cleanest, most perfectly groomed lawn for the pet relief area, trash bins and bags included. As I cruised along the perimeter of the building I noticed some kids playing in the INDOOR pool. So fun!!! And they have a fitness room for all my fit friends. It's the little things right!!! Soda and vending machines stocked and $1.60 for a Coke. I've gotten bitter about paying $2.50 up to $3.00 for a vending machine soda. But really appreciate the reasonable price. Makes ya' feel taken care of :) The crowning glory to this Holiday Inn is the breakfast spread; pancake machine, cinnamon rolls, 2 kinds of omelettes, biscuits and gravy and more. We'll be back, Holiday Inn, Richfield, UT!!!

Yelp
Friendly reception. Clean rooms. Daily housekeeping, even when you don't leave the room until 1pm. Breakfast service is exceptional with amply, fresh options and friendly interaction with the employees. Will definitely stay here again when we are in the area.

Yelp
We arrived late after a long day of driving during our road trip. We quickly got our room that was clean and comfortable. The beds were really comfortable and clean (I always check for bugs). No complaints for this family of 4 with two kids.
google avatar

J M.

Yelp
Clean and newer at exit 38. Staff friendly and the little breakfast even had an egg white veggie omelet! A couple of nice touches...the room had a keurig(even though coffee at breakfast) and the bathroom had a built in nightlight(which you always forget while traveling). Can't speak for the other places but as a travel thru this place gets a plus!
google avatar

Vignesh R.

Yelp
Clean hotel that is pet friendly right off I-70. Very convenient for dogs because there is a pet waste bin on the premises and multiple patches of lawn. Only small complaint was the tub-shower slowly drained and some highway noise if your room faces the interstate. Otherwise a solid hotel in Richfield that I'd stay at again.

Yelp
This Holiday Inn exceeded my expectations (which were moderate). Nicely maintained on the outside; even more so on the interior. Nice spacious room, well furnished and had a comfortable bed. Everything was in in good working order. Pleasant staff handled my check in politely. Pet friendly ($20 fee) with a nice grassy dog area in back. Highly recommend.
google avatar

John B.

Yelp
Holiday Inn Express has always been a chain that I trust, but this particular one just felt a little "old" and didn't live up to expectations. The rooms definitely have a feel of the building being older and renovated. Floors smelled stale and room amenities didn't feel up to date. Breakfast was pretty good. Standard fare, but it was clean and cooked well.
google avatar

Yelp
HORRID! HORRID! Noisy a F! Sounded like a damn dog pound until 1am. Loud loud loud! We got to hear the flushing of the toilet upstairs and the water whooshing through the pipes all night long. Scared the hell out of my 6 year old. Also no freaking seal on front door so all the noise and LIGHT comes in the room. Tiles in bathroom are loose. Vanity is worn out. No heat or at least I could not get the heat on at all Pillows are too stiff and high, neck breakers. This hotel was added to one of out TOP Tier Shit list.

Yelp
They over booked for the night after booking 6 weeks ago in advance and the town was full because of wrestling tournament
google avatar

Yelp
This place isn't perfect but did come pretty darn close. The front desk lady helped get us in early and helped us relax after a rough night at one of the other local less than perfect hotel in town. I think her name was ebony. Breakfast was basic, nothing fancy. But the cinnamon rolls were good. Just not a huge variety. Clean, quiet and not too much more you could ask for. Thank you!
google avatar

Yelp
Terrific hotel. Friendly welcoming front desk staff. Nice, clean, large rooms with large flat screen TV's, larger mini-fridge with a freezer, microwave, Keurig Coffee maker. Large clean bathroom with nice soft towels Very nice indoor pool and spa at comfortable temperatures you can actually enjoy. I'd have given 5 Stars, but my room failed the "curtains test" with glaring sun shining thru the unclose-able seam waking me up at the crack of dawn. It's just not that hard to install curtains that actually close. A chip-clip would have been very helpful.

Yelp
I was appalled by the level of noise at this hotel, the rudeness of the staff, and the complete lack of WiFi. I travel frequently for work and pleasure, and when I have to stay at a budget hotel, I usually choose Hampton Inn and Suites. I decided to give Holiday Inn Express a try. What a mistake. When I told Brody at the front desk that the WiFi wasn't working, he said that just happens when it's cold (later I learned from the manager, Nicole, that it was a simple reboot). This was a problem: I was on the road, and responding to emails was completely impossible. Additionally, the noise level was appalling. It sounded like someone was moving furniture in the adjacent room at 5 a.m. At 6 a.m., the real noise started. For at least an hour, children were running up and down the hall, yelling and shrieking. I looked out my door at one point, and there was a child having a full-on tantrum on the floor in the hallway, with no intervention by parents. When I told Brody at the front desk about this, he said "Well, quiet hours end at 6 a.m." Again, not true: several signs posted throughout the hotel said quiet hours went until 7 a.m. As for the 5 a.m. furniture-moving, Brody said "Well, we have wrestling tournaments so it gets loud." SERIOUSLY? In other words: a number of services did not even come close to meeting my expectations, and instead of solving the problem, Brody and Nicole made a bunch of excuses (and relayed inaccurate information). This was an experiment gone terribly wrong. Holiday Inn just lost all my future business, and I'll be sure to share the same when my colleagues are looking for a budget hotel.

Yelp
Great hotel with great service. Didn't have any issues whatsoever. Room was very clean the entire time. Mini fridge and microwave are nice to have in the room. The room was very spacious as well. The people working the front desk were always very kind and helpful during our multiple night stay here. Couldn't be happier. Our room was very close to the highway, so be aware of that if noise concerns you.

Desiree H.

Yelp
I am so grateful to stay at this place the night before heading to Arches National Park. It is super clean! The beds and pillows are so comfortable. What I really enjoyed was the shower which had a full, big, strong shower head that allowed plenty of water to flow. It was nice and relaxing. Most hotels are not like that. I was also so happy to see Dove liquid hand soap, dove shower gel, dove shampoo and conditioner! Most places have awful smelling bar soaps that are not pleasant. I will always stay at the Holiday Inn Express as I feel the price is good for what you get!

David S.

Yelp
Clean hotel. Quiet on the side away from interstate, and hotel is slightly away from town, not far but enough to be quiet. Very friendly and helpful staff. I would stay here again.

Yelp
My husband, our two cats, and I moved from California to Colorado. It's a long drive with cats and a Uhaul which was towing a car. The check in process was painless and the guy behind the counter was incredibly kind (I'm sorry I forgot your name!). We had no issues parking the Uhaul because it wasn't very busy but they had a dirt lot next to them for busy times. They have you stay on the first floor if you have animals. Our room kind of had a light dog smell but I mean it's not surprising when it's a room that allows animals! Despite the smell the room was SUPER clean and I didn't feel grossed out. It was pretty quiet and I did hear the occasional person walking through the hall ways with their dogs. The cats felt safe and had no issues. Breakfast was REALLY impressive. They had a lot to offer and it was all very delicious! We don't have one but they have 4 or 5 Tesla charging stations which was neat!
google avatar

James L.

Yelp
This location is next to the freeway, but because of the hills, it was pretty quiet. The heater came on a couple times and was loud and did wake me up a couple of times. The room was older but warm and clean. However, we found the tiny lotion to only be half full, with lotion only at the top and bottom, which is clearly just reused and feels a little gross, which disappointed my wife. It's the first time we've seen this at any hotel, so housekeeping here needs to pay more attention to these details. The hot breakfast is your typical continental breakfast, with eggs, turkey sausage, sausage, DIY pancake, limited fruits like bananas and pears, hot cinnamon rolls covered with plastic, cereal, yogurt, and oatmeal. Though not sure how they set it up but the hot foods were lukewarm, such that by the time I sat down to eat it, they were cold. My daughter experienced the same. Overall this is a decent hotel. The supercharger in the parking lot makes it convenient for Tesla's. They just need to pay more attention to details in a few areas.
google avatar

Yelp
Stayed here for a wedding and they were really friendly. Check in was made really easy, all the staff was great. Outside patio was really nice with the fire pit. If in the area give this place a try, you won't be disappointed!

Sonia K.

Yelp
My family and I enjoyed this stay. We stayed one night. The hotel is clean, comfortable, updated fixtures and furniture. I have no complaints and I would choose this location for future stays.

Yelp
EXTRA AMENITIES!? Now, there are not many places to rest your head at the Intersection of Hwys 70 and 15 in Richfield, Utah, so it's doubtful that this review will change your mind about occupying a room for a night or two. Nevertheless, BUYER BEWARE. We made a reservation for one night for a king bed. When we checked into the room, while it seemed adequate enough (proper expectations are required here), I had the feeling that someone had been in the room post housekeeping. The pillows didn't look as refreshed as one might expect and the hair dryer was plugged in and sitting atop the counter (normally I would expect it would have the cord wound up and the dryer placed under the countertop). I inspected the room for any other sign of disturbance, cleaned thoroughly with disinfectant wipes, then let my concerns go. But then, upon pulling back the comforter a little later, I was horrified to see a used condom, torn condom wrapper, mascara smeared sheets, and human hair of all sorts. We called the front desk and the clerk said that there was no manager on staff (on a sold out Saturday night!). She said she would "try" to reach a manager. After 30 minutes and nothing my husband went to the front desk. What he found was that she had "not yet had time to call a manager because she was checking in other guests". My husband waited and she finally went to a back room to call a manager. The manager, Brody, would not speak with my husband and would only relay the message that we had two options - check out of the hotel or wait while they tried to reach someone to come clean the room - no housekeeper was on staff. Strangely, no one seemed to be horrified by the fact that they had sold a hotel room that was tainted by a used condom - as if it were commonplace. The hotel still had other rooms available but Brody would not give us a different room while he attempted to find someone to clean the soiled room. When my husband pressed for a different room, Brody told the front desk clerk to tell my husband that we needed to leave the hotel. We did just that and will not return to this hotel again. The people running it are inexperienced and unconcerned and it's unclear whether the hotel management company is aware of their staff's management "style" - but they will be told. Last, and if it all weren't shocking enough, we were charged for the night's stay. Whoa. Stay if you must, but check things out thoroughly, especially before heading into the bed.

Yelp
My family and I (including our dog) made a stop here on our drive in between our cross-state(s) road trip and we found it very accommodating! Though we didn't bring swimsuits, they had a fairly large pool and excellent staff. The bedroom was very nice as it served it purpose and hands many amenities that included a mini fridge, microwave, free WiFi, heater/air conditioning, and a Keurig. It also came with a wide selection of a free breakfast bar that satisfied my expectations. Overall, my family and I recommend this hotel for any rest stops or even stays that help to accommodate you or your family (paws and all).

Paul W.

Yelp
Exceptional hotel. Staff was extremely friendly from Nicole at the front desk to the maintenance man. Pool and hot tub were clean and hot. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Definitely would stay here again.
google avatar

Brooke S.

Yelp
Tesla supercharger is in the parking lot, so we stayed here. The restaurant nearby, Frontier Village, had a large menu with a variety of options. I had the pulled pork and it was delicious. The Holiday Inn Express was very clean, seemed recently updated and the rooms were a nice Diaz's with comfortable beds. I tried to stay here on my way to LA from Colorado but all the hotels in the area were full, so I'd book in advance if you can.
google avatar

Jennifer B.

Yelp
We stopped here last minute while on our way back home. We got in around midnight and stayed long enough to sleep, shower and take our breakfast to-go. The front desk girl was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast set-up they had was very good! They had a large selection of breakfast items. The hotel is clean and allows dogs.
google avatar

Cyndi R.

Yelp
This is our go to halfway point when we make the drive from CA to CO. We've been here twice a year, there and back, for 3 years now. Place is always clean and allows our dogs! There's a nice grassy area with poop bags available. The staff is nice, and the hotel seems really safe, we always have a car full of stuff and haven't had a problem. We traveled during October this year and it was fun to see the hotel all decorated for halloween. As along as we are in CA and need to make the drive to CO we will come here!
google avatar

Rich H.

Yelp
Fine and cost effective place to stay in an area where distances are long and lodging is scarce. We stayed here twice on a vacation in the Utah Parks. This isn't New York and the lodging is not the Plaza but for the are this place is great. Nice breakfast.

Yelp
Best place to stay in Richfield! Awesome breakfast, pool, and gym! Very clean and comfortable

Yelp
Great stay. Rooms are super clean. Modern style and aesthetic. They have a great breakfast selection complimentary in the morning. Staff was friendly and check in was fast and easy. Thanks for great accommodations as I was passing through Utah!

Yelp
Wow...My bf and I were really impressed with this hotel! Given that we were in the boonies of Utah, I didn't have high expectations for a hotel - just didn't want to be anywhere sketchy, so I could sleep well! This hotel was not only extremely clean, they welcomed my dog Ziggy (only $20 pet fee) and had tons of grassy areas for him to do his business. They also had free poop bags for him! I enjoyed the complimentary breakfast which was pretty decent (I mean, it's not a 5 star restaurant, but does the job of feeding you and caffeinating you for a long drive). Oh...and I forgot my toothbrush and they brought me a free toothbrush/tooth paste which was nice! I also noticed they had a pretty nice pool, but unfortunately I didn't bring a swimsuit. Finally, the front desk lady was extremely friendly! Really exceptional customer service! If I could give over 5 stars I would!
google avatar

Letitia F.

Yelp
This is our second time staying here. I grew up in this area & come back to see family a few times a year. The hotel is very clean & nice. The staff is very friendly. The number one reason I booked a room here again though is because of the lady who runs the continental breakfast. She is outstanding & so extremely friendly. She was wonderful the first time we stayed there & again this visit. I am not positive, but I think her name is Kristi. From now on when we come back to see family, this is going to be the only place we stay. Highly recommend it.

Yelp
THE NICEST HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS in the MIDDLE OF NO WHERES VILLE. Ok, you're thinking "Holiday Inn Express?!?! Why?" Here's why.... So if you're ever road tripping, across the states and have to pass on the I-70 through Ritchfield, Utah, I HIGHLY SUGGEST staying at this hotel. Here me out, its not a Ho-Jo's or Motel 6 that's for dang sure! It's compareable to nice boutique/extended stay type of hotel. They did a major revamp and upgraded the room decor to contempory straight edge look. Now hear me out, its not a fabulous W Hotel or Four Seasons, but if you want something nice in the middle of no where, then STAY HERE! I was impressed. I was expecting, you know the usual 90's feel decor, the light green/light peach colors, wall photos of the landscaping, yucky bathroom etc.. but this hotel it was clean, comfortable, modern, new electronics (flat screens in bedrooms), spacious, nice carpets, free breakfast, nice lobby. This is a pet friendly hotel, so bring your pets. No worries, not all the rooms are for pets. Guests with pets stay only on the first floor. So if you're alone and they book you a 1st floor room and you're allergic to animals, i highly suggest you pick another floor. To the pet parents, the hotel does an amazing job at cleaning up the rooms from previous pet owners stays. Amazingly, the hotel has an indoor pool. I know right?!? It's small, but has a jacuzzi. It's not deep, it's for wading and miniature laps. C'mon its not a olympic pool, at least they have one? The other hotels around don't have any pools. So, here's my suggestion... STAY HERE, there isn't another nice hotel FOR MILES! For the price, it's well worth the stay!

Yelp
The front desk attendant was friendly during check in. I asked about nearby restaurant options and he gave me directions to a restaurant. I ride a motorcycle and it was raining. The hotel let me park under the canopy. When I was leaving, the next nirning. I asked the lady at the breakfast counter if I could fill up my water bottles. She agreed to and then volunteered to add ice which was a nice touch. Unfortunately I left my go pro camera in my room when I left. The hotel found the camera and called my cell phone to warn me after I left. I was able to turn around and get it. Store travelling too far down the road.

Yelp
driving from denver to here was both amazing and cray. those high mountain rocks curvatures and all was scenic and beautiful, but after some point it was cray nothingness for 100 miles or so until i got to richfield. unlike the name of this city, there is nothing rich about this place because, boy there is nothing here. rant aside, this hotel is amazing. i only care about one thing and one thing only, and that is the condition of the room i am sleeping in. for how unrich this town appears to be, whoever is managing this location is rich in his ability to manage. $89 for a night of sleep, which include personal hygiene gear (if you forgot), breakfast, and VERY clean room. to be honest, i don't care about other stuff. cleaniness of the room got me to rate this place 5 stars. keep working hard richfield manager. p.s: since your note asks for deficiencies, here it is. i am a bugphobia. there were tidy bitty house flies by windows. i killed a few of them but next time i come here, absolutely zero bugs would get you 11 out 10 instead of 10 out of 10. thanks!

Yelp
" My bad!" Sorry this is out of order. We stayed here on our way from Denver to Las Vegas and were met at the front desk by a lovely young lady named Nicole who got us a great room facing south on the third floor and when I mentioned I was a Veteran gave us another $ 30.00 off! Way Cool! The place and rooms impeccable and the "free" breakfast was the best of our trip! If you plan to do the I 15/I70 trip either direction from Denver or Los Angeles, I highly recommend this hotel.

Yelp
I usually love staying in chains like Holiday Inn Express and can't remember ever having a problem with one. My mother, aunt, and I arrived at around 8pm to check into our room. When we got there, we found out that instead of the two queen bed room we asked for, we had a king size bed, a pull out couch, and a cot. As both my mother and aunt are 50+, there were not happy about having to sleep on the pull out. If that was it, though, it would have been fine. Then, when going to make the beds, we notice the pillowcases provided with the cot were damp. A little miffed, we went downstairs to talk to the front desk and had them dried. On our way up, we stopped at the vending machine for something sweet and ended up with the stalest bag of m&ms I have ever encountered in my life. Again, all these events were irritating, but nothing a real deal breaker. However, when my mom went to get in the king bed, she found the blankets underneath were SOPPING wet. SOPPING. It was like they had dumped them in the bathtub and then put them on the bed. I could not believe it. We are waiting to receive our full refund. The only reason I'm giving this 2 stars instead of 1 is that the manager on duty was extremely apologetic and dried the sheets herself even though she was the only employee working all night. Still. One of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had in my life. Wanted to warn everyone.

Yelp
Road tripping with 4 small kids is never what you'd call a picnic , but everyone at this hotel has made it as pleasant for us as possible. Check-in was seamless, our room was modern and spotless, and the breakfast was fabulous. They offered everything you would want: cold cereal, oatmeal, pastries, pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, fresh fruit and a variety of juices and coffee. The breakfast attendant, Malia, was extremely accommodating and helpful. She observed that we were encouraging our resistant kids to eat now, so that we wouldn't have to stop shortly after getting on the road, and she got us all set up with to-go containers and a bag for produce. She truly went above and beyond to make our experience a great one. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling through the area!!

Yelp
The hotel was nice and, for the most part, clean. We did ask for a different comforter because of a small red stain on it. The breakfast was quite good. I would have given a four star rating if not for the unfortunate television choice in the lobby. At a time of great political divide, it is disappointing when businesses choose to display partisan politics in the form of Fox News or MSNBC in the lobby. These stations are consistently biased. Bipartisan and nonpartisan reviews have consistently shown that people who get there news from these sources have a less accurate understanding of what is happening in our country. Fox News gets the worst ratings on accuracy, though MSNBC is not much better. These are more of partisan commentary stations than news stations. We will not come back because of this, despite it being a nice hotel otherwise. I try to consistently offer feedback at businesses that have MSNBC or Fox News on the TV in their lobby. When I did this here, I experienced one of the most defensive responses I have encountered, including the difficult to defend position that CNN is the most extreme biased perspective. This is hard to defend when considering the nonpartisan and bipartisan reviews and research, or just doing an objective review. As we continued to talk, the defensiveness decreased and I was told that remote is left in the lobby and customers can choose the TV station. This would have been a better initial response. Yet, I would strongly recommend either putting a note in the lobby to avoid news stations or to choose the station as something neutral (The Weather Channel, HGTV, or something similar) and remove the remote. From a business perspective, choosing the channel is less likely to offend customers.

Yelp
Didn't know what to expect, but such a great hotel in Richfield. We arrived while it was lightly snowing. The hotel is right off the freeway and our room faced the freeway, but we did not hear any noise! The hotel is clean and well kept. Rooms were updated and clean, wireless was fast. TV channels were plenty. Showers were clean and water flow was strong. Towels were plush! Breakfast was great, afternoon cookies, tea and coffee was a nice touch. Fitness room is small, but was adequate. There is a small meeting room with about 6 tables on the first floor. The indoor swimming pool was a nice feature, although the spa was a bit too hot. Overall, great hotel!

Yelp
Holiday Inn Express has certainly made a name for themselves with many of their newer hotels if you ask me. I've consistently been impressed by their hotels, and this one was certainly one I'd go back to. The room was nicely decorated, was decent sized and everything was very clean and polished looking. Breakfast was about the same as every other HIE - nothing to write home about but it's free so you can't really complain. Unfortunately the wifi wasn't working for a few hours when I got there, so I ended up having to do things from the business center for a couple of hours which was slightly inconvenient. The carpet inside our room wasn't laid out properly because there was an area in between the two beds where it bunched up and rose about an inch from the rest of the floor. Not a huge deal, but I almost did trip on it and it just looked a bit sloppy. Also, I didn't understand why there was no fan in the bathroom and there was no mini fridge unlike most of the other Holiday Inns I've stayed that. It ended up being about 30 degrees overnight though, so if you're here in the fall or winter then your car will probably serve as a mini fridge on its own. Overall though it was a good location accessible to I-70 and certainly made for a good night's rest after almost 10 hours on the road. If I end up driving through here again I'll certainly try to plan a stay at this hotel again.

Yelp
Second Holiday Inn express that we stayed, we loved it. Same great service, super clean rooms, dog friendly, close to the freeways and restaurants and the best free breakfast, not your common continental, you can choose between eggs, sausages, bacon, pancakes, toast, fruits, coffee, etc.etc. We definitely will be staying on any of the Holiday Inns!!!

Yelp
We put in a lot of road trips and stay in a lot of interstate motels. The newer Holiday Inn Express are setting the standard. We stopped here in Richfield on Christmas Eve. The staff was delightful, and was very accommodating. Despite it being Christmas Eve, the front desk was cheerful and happy and helpful. The rooms are well appointed and large and wifi is free and fast. Staying at places like this cause me to be so over high end hotels with $30/day crappy wifi.(With cramped rooms). We enjoyed staying here so much, we engineered our trip home so as to stay here on the return home. Holiday Inn Express is our new stop-over when driving through Utah.
