The room is clean, quiet, and completely smoke-free. The receptionist and the cleaner are very caring and always ready to help. A special thanks to 杜芳, who put in extra effort to arrange a travel guide for our Great Wall day trip—it really saved us time. The buffet breakfast is excellent as well, especially the beef noodles and wonton soup. The only drawback is that it takes about 15 minutes to walk to the nearest train station. However, it’s conveniently within walking distance of Sanlitun. Overall, it's definitely worth the stay.

Breakfast deserves its own mention. It’s varied, satisfying, and far better than what many hotels in this category offer. Whether you prefer Chinese or Western options, there’s always something fresh and enjoyable to start the day with. What keeps me returning is the balance this hotel strikes — reliable comfort, sincere hospitality, and great value. It’s the kind of place where you feel looked after without any fuss, and that’s something I deeply appreciate. I’ll happily continue choosing this hotel whenever I’m in Beijing. Fabulous stay! We loved staying at this hotel and were sad to leave it! The rooms were clean and had everything you would need. The breakfast was delicious and had so many options. But most of all the staff members were so professional, helpful and friendly. They gave us free coins for the laundry room, extra water when we needed, free early check in at 7:30am, welcome sodas and a welcome gift of European biscuits to our room. We were very happy with this hotel and will be recommending to friends and family who come to China. We hope to come back again :)

We stayed two nights at Holiday Inn Express Beijing Dongzhimen and had a very good experience. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and conveniently located. What impressed me most was the self-service laundry room, which is very helpful for travelers. Last summer we stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Nanchang and enjoyed the same convenience—washing and drying clothes easily during the trip. Breakfast was also a highlight, offering not only standard options but also local dishes that gave us a taste of regional flavors. Overall, great facilities, attentive service, and excellent value for money. Highly recommended.

We arrived early at around 9.30AM. Hotel staff found a room and did early check-in for us. This was great and allowed a good sleep and energy boost for our 18-month baby. Room was clean with good amenities. New slippers and more than enough drinking water, as well as some soft drinks, were provided everyday. Good variety of breakfast. We loved a small children corner with a small table and chairs. We occupied that spot every morning during our stay. Location was great with plenty of food choices nearby, but maybe a bit far (around 15 minutes walk) from Dongzhimen station. Only one issue that we found in the last night of our stay was that someone who stayed on the same floor smoked in the room. I called hotel staff and she offered me to change to room. Unfortunately, it was almost 11PM and our baby already went to bed so we couldn’t move to the new room. Next morning, cigarette smell came again so I reported to hotel staff and she apologized for this issue and offered a free ride to any places that we planned to go. Hopefully, hotel could find that guest who smoked in the room and took legal action with that guest. Any update from the hotel on this issue will be highly appreciated.

This is my third time staying at this hotel during a business trip, and I keep coming back for the comfort, great breakfast, and consistently good service. The bed and pillows are exceptionally comfortable, and the room lighting creates a relaxing atmosphere. It’s also very peaceful—especially if your windows face the courtyard. Highly recommended.

I had a fantastic stay at the Holiday Inn Express Beijing Dongzhimen. The staff was super friendly and helpful, really taking care of all the details to make my 9-day stay super smooth. The room was spacious, spotless, and in excellent condition, with a very comfortable bed—the best sleep I’ve had in a while, thanks to how quiet and dark the room was at night. I also enjoyed a lovely view from the window. The location near Sanlitun is excellent, with plenty to do and see nearby. Breakfast was great with a wide selection and fresh options. Overall, a wonderful stay—highly recommended!

It's a decently modern hotel, suitable for foreign tourist with it being an international hotel chain. Staff at the reception does speak reasonable good English. The room is pretty spacious with amenity that you would expect. The location is not exactly near to metro but it's never a huge problem in China because you can get a Didi easily.
