Holiday Inn Express Lille Centre, an IHG Hotel

I felt privileged to have got the most wonderful room on the top floor with great city view. The room was spacious, with wide desk very suitable for me to work using laptop. The bed was so nice and comfortable. The staff were all very kind and patience with me in handling all the requirements I requested for. They also explained patiently when I didn't get my comprehension in French. I felt very grateful. I felt happy that breakfast buffet was offered, with various options to choose. It would be nice if some vegetable salads can be part of options in the future.

Have used this hotel for several years. It's ideally located for the Christmas Market. Arrived 09/12. Julia, when we checked in, was excellent, as always. She gave us a really good room and was really helpful. In the evening, John, in the bar, was really friendly and helpful. He put the West Ham game on the TV

We just spent the one night in this hotel but we had a very pleasant stay. We were greeted warmly by the lady at reception who was also very helpful in looking after our luggage until we could access our room. The hotel is in a great location - walking distance from the Old Town and the shops and only a few metres from the metro station for direct access to the station.

Perfect location, great breakfast. Julia was a standout in customer service, professionalism and friendly. Great restaurants & grocery store close by. Only negative was young new female and male (manager on duty) at checkin, seemed unaware of benefits earned of diamond status & had to be asked (reminded) of earned extras. Were uncomfortably reluctant to offer anything willingly.

The location of the hotel is quite good. The staff is nice. The problems have been with the plumbing. The shower drainage was terrible, and the pipes needed cleaning. I was unpleasantly surprised that breakfast did not provide any fresh vegetables, no tomatoes, lettuce, or cucumber. Basic food structure suggests that some vegetables are necessary for human health. This should be considered. Finally, the price for a room with a window that is not opening and with a view to the roof costs the same as a room on the 6th floor.

Great value for a city centre hotel. ||Close to all the sites and loads of bars and places to eat.||Room small but fit for purpose. ||One little thing was the TV had no English channels which was a little disappointing. ||Continental breakfast adequate.

Enjoyed the stay a great deal. Reasons: Friendly, informed, and professional staff that made every interaction with them enjoyable. The best free breakfast I've seen at an H.I. Express anywhere on any continent, hands down. Really really pleasant surprise. Smaller location, but very clean and kept up. Added bonus, beer taps in the lobby - not free, but still... Good location/access to Beaux Arts Museum, easy walk to old part of town, simple Uber ride to and from Train station or an okay walk for the intrepid adventurous travelleur types. Only minor complaint about the stay there was the local gov't mandated AC levels (assuming they weren't making that up) that made the rooms not the coolest - but it's hard to blame the hotel for a local gov't decision. Plus they had fans you could borrow to erase the issue. So, minor. All in all, good deal for an above average hotel. Worth a stay, if Lille is your destination.

The hotel is run like clockwork very clean, all of the staff are very hospitable and warm. The breakfast is consistent but it’s the only thing that needs tweaking. Loved my stay! By the end of the week I felt like I was in a family run hotel, because of how warm and helpful they were. Very close to everything too.
