Holiday Inn Express Lille Centre by IHG

We had a great stay at the Lille Holiday Inn Express. The hotel was clean, with comfy beds and a lovely breakfast. It is situated pretty central to the city, with about a 10mins walk to the main squares. The below ground parking worked well and was useful, not too busy, so we got a space. The staff at breakfast were amazing, running around refilling the food. My daughter is a Coeliac and Antoine was so helpful and kind, warming her fresh gluten free bread each morning! Thank for the amazing service Antoine! We'd definitely stay in this hotel again when we return to Lille.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Lille City Center Holiday Inn. It's in a great location in terms of transit and very close to the Palais des Beaux Arts. The area is very walkable. The breakfast was excellent. All of the staff were exceptional. They were kind, helpful and accommodating. In fact, I don't think I've ever encountered better hotel staff before. I would definitely stay here again.

Pleasant stay in the centre of Lille. Great friendly check in. Lovely room on the top floor. Very close to the city centre and easy walking. It was 20min walk from the Eurostar terminal to the hotel, with sightseeing on the way. I took the bus tour on my first morning which is good to see all the sites before exploring on foot.

Stayed here for 2 nights, hotel is in a great location just 5 minutes walk from the old town with its lovely shops bars and cafes. Our room was very clean and bed comfortable … if a tad small. It was disappointing that there was no satellite tv but that said we ended up playing cards to amuse ourselves! It cost 9 euros from station in a taxi. Very good !

The staff on the front desk were brilliant. Friendly, helpful and efficient! The hotel is fine, a bit dated but good value but it was the staff that stood out and are a credit to the hotel. It is easy to walk into town and there is paid parking available.

Great location of the hotel near all the main sites. Very friendly welcome from reception. I travelled by Eurostar and it was only a 20min walk on a fairly flat walk. 2 full days in Lille walking around the sites I had seen from the morning bus tour.

⸻ Review of Holiday Inn Express Lille Centre I recently stayed at Holiday Inn Express Lille Centre and had a very pleasant experience overall. The hotel is in an excellent location — close to the old town (Vieux Lille), major museums, shops, and plenty of restaurants. It’s also an easy walk from both main train stations, which makes it really convenient if you’re arriving by train. The staff were definitely one of the highlights. Everyone at reception was friendly and welcoming, always happy to help with directions, restaurant tips, or anything else I needed. It really made the stay feel more personal. The room itself was simple but comfortable. It had everything I needed: a good bed, clean bathroom, a kettle, and reliable Wi-Fi. The space is not very large and storage is limited, so it’s better suited for shorter stays or if you pack light. Breakfast was included and had a decent selection — fresh bread, pastries, cheese, fruit, and some hot items. It’s not a huge spread, but it’s more than enough to start the day. Another plus is the on-site parking. Although the parking garage is quite tight (be careful if you have a bigger car!), it’s secure and a big advantage in a city center. If I had to point out any downsides, it would be the room size and a few small maintenance issues (like occasional temperature fluctuations in the shower), but nothing major that affected my stay. Overall, Holiday Inn Express Lille Centre is a solid choice if you’re looking for a clean, comfortable, and well-located base in Lille. I would definitely recommend it for a city break or business trip.

Excellent location; friendly knowledgeable staff who were very helpful. Breakfast good. Would suggest increasing the number of English speaking TV channels. While room was generally very comfortable the bed appeared to have been used as a seat thus one side had slightly collapsed.

Location is great! Next to the city center and also 3 minutes to the metro. Service and reception were really great and helpful. The room is comfortable and for the price is really good deal.
