Holiday Inn Express Lille Centre by IHG

We stayed here as part of a birthday trip and we had no issues and so we have decided to stay for another night at the end of our trip. ||We were welcomed as platinum members and with this we recover our welcome amenity. The member of staff at reception was polite and friendly. ||The room was large and spacious and the bed was comfy. The bathroom was also large and the room was clean and modern. ||The hotel is an a good location and many places to visit are within walking distance. ||With it being winter the air con does not cool the room but this isn’t an issue as the windows open which helped to cool the room to a nice temperature. ||The only disappointment of our stay was I messaged in advance to enquire about any birthday packages that could be added to the room or anything that could make the stay special for a birthday trip and I was told there wasn’t which is a shame as other hotels offer something.

Was slightly worried that the reviews shaky for this hotel but that was unfounded in our experience. We had a twin room…small but good clean & comfortable. Decent beds with clean crisp bedding. Large flat screen tv. Good shower. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Plain unsweetened homemade yogurt, homemade apple purée. Cold eggs/ham/cheese, excellent scrambled eggs, lovely crusty baguettes, croissants etc. Some cereals…cornflakes & muesli. Good coffee machine. Fruit juice machine. Cold water machine. All well stocked. Served in large seated area opposite reception and food kept well stocked. Perfect.

This hotel is a nice budget friendly option, with small but clean rooms. The bathroom was pretty clean, with shampoo and soap available and a hairdryer outside by the mirror. The breakfast is, to me, one point they could really improve. Not many options to choose from, but gets the job done. The highlight is definitely the location right near the center of Lille, close to markets, restaurants and museums. Something to keep in mind: the parking is really a puzzle experience. The parking spots are very tight - even with a small car such as a Golf, and has a very steep entry/exit.

Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Hotel is clean, good value and room was a good size with a lovely shower. Well located for walking into the old town and visiting attractions such as the Palais de beaux arts. Would definitely use again.

The staff were friendly but overall the hotel needs some refurbishment and updating. Central lobby was okay but stairs/lifts were old. |20 minute walk to Euro Rail, 15 to Lille Flanders station. 15 minute walk to old town and area around hotel okay but not much|My room was small with a massive bathroom which was well appointed ed. Temperature was okay even though you had no control over it but imagine at other times of the year an issue. No safe, wardrobe (just rail) or iron.|No restaurant onsite but no issue as so much within walking distance|Breakfast was good but with limited choices |Room was noisy from outside and also being next to the lift. Corridors also small

Enjoyed a few days here recently, the hotel is in a great central location but best of all was the staffing of the hotel. Everybody was extremely polite, friendly and helpful at all times and made our stay very enjoyable!! Will definitely stay here again next time we’re in Lille. Many thanks, Simon and Elaine.

Reasonably priced hotel not far fron Lille Centre, with all the basics right, from clean rooms, excellent showers, friendly helpful multilingual desk staff and an upgraded Continental style breakfast included. |We were allowed to book in early, which was a huge bonus as we had arrived mid morning with too much luggage to wander about with.|Highly recommended!

Location is great! Next to the city center and also 3 minutes to the metro. Service and reception were really great and helpful. The room is comfortable and for the price is really good deal.
