Functional, Clean, and Well-Located property Holiday Inn Express Macau City Centre We stayed at Holiday Inn Express Macau City Centre for two nights, and it served the purpose perfectly for a short business trip. It’s a no-frills, business-style hotel that delivers on essentials, clean rooms, reliable service, and a strategic location. The hotel is about a 15-minute walk from the main casinos and city centre, making it convenient without being in the middle of the chaos. The surrounding area is dotted with local eateries, giving you plenty of food options if you want to explore outside hotel dining. Rooms are compact but efficient, ideal for solo travelers, couples, or business stays. If you're looking for space to stretch out, this might feel tight, but it’s well-maintained and has everything you need. The buffet breakfast spread was decent, with both Asian and Western options. For vegetarians, the choices are basic but manageable: bread, greens, cornflakes, milk, and fruits. The unexpected star of the menu was their custard dumplings — soft, warm, and delicious. They were available both mornings and became an instant favourite. A nice touch is the 24x7 tea counter at the reception, offering green tea and bamboo tea, which adds a bit of comfort after a long day. There’s also a small bar if you’re looking to unwind without heading out. Overall, a solid option for budget-conscious travellers or short business trips which is clean, efficient, and well-located.

Great and clean hotel! Staff speaks basic English and all signs are in Chinese and English. Rooms are spacious and well equipped. Rooms are cleaned daily and the location is convenient - close to casinos and the famous square. The only downside is the breakfast. It can get very crowded and you might have a wait a while. The breakfast also has few Western or vegetarian options. Considering it is a western chain, I expected more. Especially if you like a sweet breakfast, this breakfast is not for you.

Overall a pleasant stay. The staffs are friendly. The room is clean and cozy. Reasonable distance to major attractions on macau island. Bus stop is nearby. Especially refreshing when spent a morning climbing the highest peak of Macau which is a park whose entrance requires only 5 mins walking from the hotel. But I got some bug bites after check out. I am not sure if the suspicious bites is from this hotel bed linen or other places.

We had a great stay in Holiday Inn. It was a short walk to the attractions and there are plenty of supermarkets and restaurants around. The staff are extremely friendly and very helpful, called them while at the airport to let them know I might have left something in the room and the lady I spoke with went and checked herself. That was a really nice gesture. There is also a bus stop close to the hotel if you are coming or going to the airport. Highly recommended.

Warm welcome by hotel front desk staff - Eddie is very helpful and friendly!||Great location and easy access to various tourist spots by bus (various free shuttle bus available nearby as well)||The room is clean and comfortable. My room view with Grand Lisboa which is a bonus!||Free breakfast is great! I like their HK style milk tea, various noodles are recommended as well.

good service, friendly and helpful staff ... all of them, even the ladies doing the cleaning of the rooms ... very nice, warm and welcoming! the location is fine, there are lots of places to eat and within 15 minutes on foot, various of the tourist places can be reached, including casinos, the key highlights of Macao.

This was a great value stay in Macau. Location is fairly convenient-10 minutes walk to the Gran Lisboa Casino, 20 minutes to Ruins of St Paul’s. Excellent staff at check in/out. Decent size modern rooms, with tea, coffee and water plus a fridge to store any drinks of your own. Both firm and soft pillows (embroidered onto the pillow cases, great idea!) on the bed. USB points meant we didn’t need to pack plugs and adapters. Breakfast was busy and not a highlight for us, noodles good but buns chewy etc. Great reason for coffee and Portuguese custard tarts out mid morning! I looked at a lot of hotels and did consider something much more expensive but if you’re there for one night and will be out for most of it, this modern, clean hotel worked well for us.
