Comfortable and practical accommodations at a mid-range price. Part of the IHG hotel network and status is acknowledged and upgrades are given based on availability. Staff is courteous and speaks very good English. Easy check-in with advance reservation. Rooms are comfortable. Even king-rooms are not massively spacious yet you don't feel cramped (at least if there's just one or two of you staying there). Everything is clean, comfortable and practical. Black-out curtains, in-room safe, in-room coffee and tea service. Television is a bit smaller than the typical Holiday Inn room but feels appropriate for the size of the room, distance to the bed, etc. Plenty of electrical outlets for charging located near the bed and near a dedicated work surface. Wi-fi is reliable and suitable for audio/video conferencing. Bedding is comfortable with the typical options of both firm and soft pillows. AC works well. Laundry service is available. Bathroom is clean and while not spacious, comfortable and dry. Toiletries available upon request. Upgraded liquid soap, shampoo and conditioner in king-bed rooms. Towels are clean and comfortable. Plenty of hot water and the shower enclosure does a good job of keeping the bathroom dry. On site breakfast buffet available. However you need your room key in order to gain entrance - something they don't mention and which is rather unusual in my experience. Front desk can hail a taxi for you in 3-10 minutes, depending on the time of day. Easy access by car to anywhere in Macau. Good location, price, service, and accommodations.

This is my second time to Macau but my first with Holiday Inn. Really love the room. But before that, I have to say that check-in process is okay and the staff were great. The hotel is nice, but I really love my room. Spacious, clean, and comfy. For the rate, I would say that it did not disappoint. Hotel is also clean and quiet. My view from my window is the street and the neighboring businesses of the hotel. Breakfast was okay for me, I was expecting more of western food but more of Asian cuisine. Overall, it was a great experience and would love to check in again whenever I am in Macau.

I late check in around 2-3am in the midnight the staff are very friendly and upgraded my room. When I came up in the room, the room is so clean and netflix and youtube is available in TV. I was surprised and happy. The breakfast is all good except some staffs are not friendly at all, no one is smiling compare the the front desk staff are very hospitable, friendly and wearing smile all the time. Will surely recommend this hotel and will surely come back. Thank you.

Room and location good. Breakfast itself was lovely but the service was poor. We came down for breakfast at 9.10am and because they closed at 10am we were constantly rushed. We were approached on 4 occasions. This is highly unacceptable to keep disturbing your customers. I'm fully aware that breakfast finished at 10am. I even overheard 2 of the staff saying there's only two couples left.

Pros: 1. I needed to be near visa center, so the location was perfect for me. And in general I think it’s one of the best location in Macau, if you want to be close to the main attractions and restaurants. 2. The room was nice and cozy, with all the necessary amenities. Cons: 1. Even thought breakfast is included, it looks like they try to cut the cost on everything. The will limit some kids of food, coffee and time you can have breakfast. It’s the first time that I’ve see this at a Hilton hotel. Would prefer for the room to be cheaper, and to have breakfast elsewhere. 2. The waiting area is also not equipped for the amount of people that they have during high season. Overall a 7/10. Felt more like a 3* hotel.

Functional, Clean, and Well-Located property Holiday Inn Express Macau City Centre We stayed at Holiday Inn Express Macau City Centre for two nights, and it served the purpose perfectly for a short business trip. It’s a no-frills, business-style hotel that delivers on essentials, clean rooms, reliable service, and a strategic location. The hotel is about a 15-minute walk from the main casinos and city centre, making it convenient without being in the middle of the chaos. The surrounding area is dotted with local eateries, giving you plenty of food options if you want to explore outside hotel dining. Rooms are compact but efficient, ideal for solo travelers, couples, or business stays. If you're looking for space to stretch out, this might feel tight, but it’s well-maintained and has everything you need. The buffet breakfast spread was decent, with both Asian and Western options. For vegetarians, the choices are basic but manageable: bread, greens, cornflakes, milk, and fruits. The unexpected star of the menu was their custard dumplings — soft, warm, and delicious. They were available both mornings and became an instant favourite. A nice touch is the 24x7 tea counter at the reception, offering green tea and bamboo tea, which adds a bit of comfort after a long day. There’s also a small bar if you’re looking to unwind without heading out. Overall, a solid option for budget-conscious travellers or short business trips which is clean, efficient, and well-located.

This is my second time using Holiday Inn Express. Although my overall stay in this hotel was not that bad I have two points for improvements: 1) one of the male employees working at the reception was not very helpful with booking the taxi for me and he seems a bit arrogant. I must call the reception 10 min before my check out in order to book the taxi because this is how "it works in Macau". This is strange because I have booked many taxis worldwide including hotels in Mainland China, HK and TW where you can easily book a taxi the day or more than 10 min before your departure. This is such a pity because most of the employees at HIE are very friendly. The second point relates to breakfast. I have noticed that customers can order warm noodle soups and fresh baked eggs during the breakfast while this is not standard provided. As a 4 star hotel I believe this should be part of the standard breakfast because not all customers are aware of this option.
