A beautiful modern space. Comfortable beds. The coffee was surprisingly poor quality at this location… Even in the rooms… not what I’d expect in Mexico. Service staff were very attentive. Lots of floor cleaning everyday- even when it’s already clean 🤔 found that odd.

Finally revisiting post-COVID. HIE did not disappoint! Stayed in the same city-view suite as our last PV vacay. Roomy, clean, and perfect for our needs. Bus is very convenient to the hotel, and we ranged all over from airport to RZ several times.|Pool is small, but very enjoyable, and we are glad we stayed in Spring to get extra sunshine on that side. |Breakfast was great (thank you, Eduardo, for your excellent service!). Coffee/lounge ( new since our last visit) was a bonus- props to Janete and Oscar!)|Also, thank you so much to Karla in housekeeping. You were so helpful and a ray of sunshine every day! :-)|Lastly, thank you to Claudia at the front desk for the lovely welcome...|Would definitely stay again.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Puerto Vallarta for 2 days with our kids. While the hotel was clean and some staff were friendly, a few things made the stay less comfortable. There was no fridge or microwave in the room, which was inconvenient for a family. There was also no complimentary hot water or tea available in the lobby — something we usually expect from similar hotels. The breakfast selection was limited, especially for those who are lactose intolerant. It would be great to see more inclusive options available. Some staff were courteous, but others were quite abrupt, which impacted the overall experience. In general, our stay was okay, but there’s definitely room for improvement in guest comfort and service.

Comfortable stay at Holiday Inn Express Puerto Vallarta. Good breakfast options for vegetarians and eggetarians. Housekeeping was excellent and cleaned our room daily. Only downside was the fixed airport drop-off times, which didn’t work for us.

The hotel was about 10 min walk via a busy highway (with a crosswalk and traffic light) to the marina. The room (a king suite on the eighth floor) and bed were very comfortable. House cleaning was excellent (though I did put a small tip daily in the supplied envelope in the room). The restaurant food (rib eye steak) was tough, and my glass of wine was very small (about half the usual size) as the bottle was already nearly empty and did not have enough wine in it. I didn’t complain and just didn’t return to the main restaurant in the lobby as there are much better restaurants in the Marina.

I couldn’t have picked a more convenient location—Holiday Inn Express is about as close as you can get to the Puerto Vallarta airport. I actually walked from the airport to the hotel upon arrival, and it was a smooth start to my four-week vacation. The hotel exceeded expectations. My room was spotless and cleaned daily, and the bed was very comfortable. The hot breakfast buffet was a standout—fresh, delicious options every morning. The coffee was excellent, and I really enjoyed the variety of desserts and juices as well. The showers had great water pressure, and the air conditioning worked perfectly throughout my stay. Everything in the room was in perfect working order, which gave me peace of mind—especially since I came to Puerto Vallarta for dental work and recovery. While an Uber to the Romantic Zone was around $10 USD each way, I appreciated that the local bus only cost 10 pesos—a great budget-friendly alternative. Highly recommend this hotel as a clean, convenient, and comfortable place to start your trip—especially if you're flying in or coming for medical tourism like I was.

Convenient location it’s like 5-10mins away from the airport. The rooms were really clean the hotel in general is clean:). The breakfast was incredible they had variety’s of food for many different taste buds. Definitely recommend this hotel for anyone who wants to be close by on a budget !

Holiday Inn Express cancelled my Holiday Inn Express Puerto Vallarta reservation and switched me to Holiday Inn & Suites Puerto Vallarta Marina & Golf an IHG Hotel without letting me know. I reached out to IHG just to check my reservation when they told me my reservation is cancelled. They did not send me an update or anything. I only found out when the IHG live chat agent gave me an email to follow up. I don't think they even updated their system that my reservation has been changed. Feedback: While I appreciate the "upgrade", they should send an email and ask if I want the upgrade. Instead, they cancelled my reservation and changed my hotel causing a panic. Perhaps, there is a language barrier. But the hotel customer service was confused I did not want the upgrade or hotel change they offered. They didn't understand that it is not acceptable to change a customer's hotel without letting me know 4 days before I am scheduled to arrive. After they send my reservation Holiday Inn & Suites Puerto Vallarta Marina & Golf an IHG Hotel, they told me they are going to switch my reservation back to Holiday Inn Express since Expedia contacted them. That would have been too confusing so I told them I would stay at the new hotel at Holiday Inn & Suites Puerto Vallarta Marina & Golf an IHG Hotel. The whole situation is very confusing and unnecessary. The first step in an upgrade is to offer the upgrade. Instead, they changed it and they are confused when I question why they did it the way they did. It was quite a traumatic experience for me since I have a flight in 4 days and I don't know if I have a place to stay. The upgrade wasn't much of an upgrade, it's a newer hotel but the two look almost identical.
