Holiday Inn Express Puerto Vallarta

Great stay. It’s far away from the main tourist areas but if you have a car is not that bad. The rooms are big and nice. The gym has the basic equipment needed for a workout. Breakfast was good with different meat options every day. Staff is great and really helpful. Nestor was incredible helpful and polite. If you ask and if there are units available they can offer you transportation to the airport.

This hotel was nice, comfortable and clean. It offers a free breakfast which is always a great way to start the day. The beds were very comfortable. It is conveniently located near the airport and marina. The pool was nice however we were disappointed that the hot tub was not working properly. It was inconvenient also to have to visit the front desk to obtain beach towels and return them since this is a lengthy process when you have to wait in line with people who are checking in. The staff were friendly.

Worst experience ever. The hotel staff didn’t show any sympathy or concerns whatsoever. Came back to about 40 bites from the bed bug infestation. Not to mention I had to throw away luggage and visit a hospital upon my return to the states. The hotel hasn’t taken any responsibility from this incident and refuses to refund me. I have seriously been suffering from this mentally and physically. Please don’t stay here. Reconsider another option.

Positive: The breakfasts were delicious, very hearty and full of authentic tasty fare and many options plus a bit of variety each day. I looked forward to them. I worried its proximity to the hotel would mean constant plane noise but we didn't hear anything. Negative: We couldn't figure out how to change ac temp. The view was of a hospital parking lot. The toilet was placed behind the bathroom door making it difficult to access. The shower door wouldn't stay closed so water got everywhere. The pool was too cold to swim Negative: ""

Never again!!! Front desk needs more training. They didn’t even know what they were doing. Took forever to check in. My family was having a quick lunch in the sitting area where I guess that’s where you should be eating. Some worker came and told us we had to get up and move. We weren’t allowed to eat. So stupid. We came to relax and can’t even eat our lunch. The pool was dirty. Same with the jacuzzi.

The staff were very friendly and always made sure we had what we needed at any time during our stay. We visited the pool often and the bar staff always came by to see if we needed anything extra. The staff in general were very nice and always helpful. The room was comfortable, while the humidity at times were uncomfortable we just had the air circulating using the AC and it made the stay very comfortable. The tv in the room is only available in Spanish and while we speak and understand Spanish it wasn’t a problem for us however it could be good to have captions in different languages available. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Very friendly staff, very clean rooms, lobby, even the outside was immaculate they keep it very clean nice private pool at the top. About a 10-15min walk to the Marina or you could take one of the many local cabs for cheap

1. First room they assign 421 had a soap bar used in the shower with pubic hair, and a dirty blue sponge, and head&shoulders spilled. Seems last customer was in a hurry and hotel staff didn’t clean it at all.|2. Bed linens are wrinkled and looks like someone jumped in the bed after making it.||3. They moved me to 316 and towels had makeup on them.|4. Hotel staff were only giving excuses without actually addressing satisfaction, comfort and cleanliness.|5. Bed linens were also wrinkled.|6. AC wasn’t working properly. I set it at 23C overnight and was working at 19C fixed. Gave me a strong headache next morning.|7. Coffee maker wasn’t working it spills everywhere except the cup.|8. They only give you 1 bottle of water…|9. Room service is QUITE UNFRIENDLY and needs more manners. They just don’t give a dime about customer care. When I called they just asked what I wanted and when I was telling them they yelled to hold because they were on another call and 15% gratuity is MANDATORY (lady was very clear about this) however that’s illegal in Mexico. |10. I asked for my invoice on my check-out and haven’t received anything yet.|11. They didn’t use my IHG reservation and didn’t add any IHG rewards to my account!||OVERALL CHOOSE ANOTHER HOTEL PLEASE. Not worth it.
