Review Title: Peaceful Stay with Easy Access to Sandton
I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Sandton – Woodmead and found it to be a calm and efficient option on the outskirts of Sandton. Tucked away in a business park, the hotel offers a quieter environment compared to central Sandton, while still being well-connected to major highways and office parks in the area.
Room: The room was spacious, neat, and functional, with a comfortable bed and a large window that brought in plenty of natural light. Everything was clean and in good condition, and I appreciated the work desk and fast Wi-Fi for catching up on emails.
Facilities: The hotel is designed more for business travelers, with good security and easy access to the M1. While there’s no full restaurant on-site, the adjacent restaurant next door (part of the same complex) serves decent meals and makes up for the lack of in-room dining.
Breakfast: The included breakfast was consistent with the Holiday Inn Express standard—simple, fresh, and self-service. It’s ideal if you’re heading out early and need something quick and reliable.
Service: The staff were courteous and efficient. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and they were happy to arrange a taxi and provide local recommendations when asked.
Value for Money: Given its location in a safe business district with easy access to the N1 and Midrand, the hotel offers good value—especially if you’re attending meetings or events in the area.
Overall: A solid 4 out of 5. Holiday Inn Express Woodmead is a great choice for business travelers who prefer a quieter, well-located hotel without the chaos of central Sandton. Clean, reliable, and practical.
