Fantastic Stay – Perfect Location and Great Value! We had an amazing stay at Holiday Inn Express Clarke Quay! The hotel was modern, clean, and incredibly well-run. The rooms were compact but smartly designed, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The rooftop pool and sky garden were a real highlight – offering great views of the city, especially at night. The breakfast was fresh and varied, and the staff were friendly, helpful, and always welcoming. The location is unbeatable – just a short walk to Clarke Quay, Chinatown, and the river. Excellent value for money. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommended!

For a Holiday Inn Express - this exceeds the standard expectation. The rooms were very clean as was the breakfast area and the general seating areas outside. Staff very kind and polite as well. There is a gorgeous LONG pool right on the roof, as well as small but adequate gym. There is also a small cafe which serves cakes, pastries and hot meals during the day so you can grab lunch if you're not heading out. The breakfast buffet is decent, not spectacular, but quite good! Might be good to note that the indoor seating area for breakfast is quite limited so if you want to sit inside you may need to head down a bit early, however there is plenty of outdoor sheltered seating which guests can also use to relax during the day. Honestly, this hotel is NOT budget at all - rather luxurious in fact!||The location is a little bit far. There are no surrounding shops or restaurants surrounding the hotel, but there is constructions going on so looks like the area is being developed! You can walk 10-15mins to nearby Clark Quay which has lots of restaurants and bars by the canal. Yes, it appears Clark Quay is just across the road and it is, but you cannot access it simply by crossing the road. You need to walk up to a bridge where you need to climb steps to cross the road. If you can't do steps, then it is about a 20min walk to the main road and you can access Calrk Quay from there without steps. Otherwise to walk to chinatown and the shopping centre is about 20mins.

I stayed at this hotel for a week on vacation and really enjoyed it. The location is excellent, and although there's some construction nearby, it was quiet inside the room. The breakfast was one of the highlights - plenty of options and very good. The staff were also very friendly. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a well-located hotel with breakfast included. Since I was out exploring Singapore during the day, I mainly used the hotel to sleep and have breakfast.

We stayed for 2 nights on our way to Australia and wished that our stay was longer. Staff were so polite and helpful. We were able to borrow 2 umbrellas when it was raining (+ really useful when the sun came out!) We had a city view room which was fantastic at night. Breakfast was great with plenty of choice. Loved the pool. Highly recommend and will definitely attempt to book if we return to Singapore.

I stayed here for 8 days on a business trip and had a very pleasant experience. The rooms were clean, quiet, and comfortable; perfect for unwinding after work. Breakfast each morning was fresh and satisfying, with a good selection. A special mention goes to Ms. May in the cafeteria, who was always friendly and helpful. Overall, this is a great option for a cost-effective and comfortable stay. I highly recommend it for both business and leisure travelers.

Nice hotel. Good location. Walking distance to riverside point, with lots of nice restaurants. Pricey tho. ||Service is very nice, especially breakfast. The lady named Serene is outstanding. Very friendly and helpful. |Will definitely come back to stay here when we visit Singapore again.

We stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed it very much. A good location with a short walk to Clarke Quay and Robertson Quay for a variety of restaurants. A little bit far for us to walk to the MRT in the heat but taxis luckily are a very reasonable price. Staff were very helpful and we were grateful that we could store our luggage and use the pool area until leaving for the airport. The hotel room was a good size for Singapore and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was good and we had no problem getting a table at around 9.00 for breakfast. We will stay again if we are back in Singapore.

I had a pleasant stay, and I’d like to especially highlight the breakfast experience. May and Serene provided excellent service—they were friendly, attentive, and made the morning very enjoyable. Their warm and professional attitude truly stood out. Thank you both for making my stay even better!

Yelp
Good 2 night stay at this Holiday Inn Express in Singapore. It was walking distance to the MRT. This made exploring the city much easier. It was also walking distance to Chinatown and other attractions. Very convenient location! Most of the staff were very helpful. Don't recall the name of the young lady who checked us in, but she was great! No staff member that we came across was bad at all. The complimentary breakfast included with our stay easily surpasses any of the breakfasts I've had at HIE hotels throughout America!! Many excellent food options to choose from every morning we were there. Something for everyone. You could dine inside or outside. All up to you. The room was not as spacious as we are accustomed to at HIE hotels. Although it was smaller, that was not a problem. Bed and mattress were fine. I slept well. Wifey slept okay. Room had all the amenities one would expect and everything appeared in working order. Wifi worked too. We hope to visit Singapore again in the not too distant future. Without a doubt, we would stay at this Holiday Inn Express again if the price was right.

Yelp
Fantastic value. After four days, I cannot say one bad thing about the Holiday Inn Express Clarke Quay. It's at a great location, just a 15 minute walk to either Chinatown MRT and Clarke Quay MRT. Staff are more than welcoming and helpful. Every single person greets you with a smile, whether they are taking away your plate at breakfast or answering a question about directions. Each morning you are greeted with a full buffet breakfast, which is not your basic hotel affair. The food is a mix of Eastern and Western food. With hot food options, it does change every day. The rotating menu is great when staying at this hotel for a few days. I am a huge fan of breakfast at a hotel, it's a great way to save time and cost in a trip. The hotel is in the shape of a giant "H," if it makes sense that rooms are accessible via outside as the entire middle of the hotel is outdoors and open. It's very cool and different. They have two sets of outdoor seating. Downstairs by the dining area and upstairs on the rooftop. Downstairs you will find a water feature as well as a cafe for lunch and/or grabbing a snack on the way out. On the rooftop there is a infinity pool, which is just what you need after a day of running around Singapore. It gives a nice view of the surrounding city, even a glimpse of MBS. Rooms are small, as most in Singapore are. But you do get a floor to ceiing window! The bathroom has toiletries, and reception is happy to provide you with something you may have forgotten. Just ask. Like most other Yelpers said, everything is nice and shiny in this hotel. Another plus: the room comes with a smart room. This is great using Google maps in Singapore. It was a huge help and had free local and international calls. And saved so we didn't have to get a mobile sim card. They have luggage storage! This was a great option for us. Our flight wasn't til 2a.m. so we didn't think of booking another night here because the room wouldn't be used. They have shower facilities on the rooftop (for after the pool/gym). So we left our bags at the hotel after check in and came back that night, before heading to the airport for the return flight. This allowed us a way to shower, and change before getting on a seven hour flight back to Melbourne.

Yelp
I never really understood what the "Express" brand meant, but my assumption was that it's a lower end - more motel than hotel - brand. Well, this hotel shattered that perception! Top-notch! Competes with any full-service hotel anywhere. Great service, facilities, and amenities, including a rooftop, vanishing edge pool. As with most of the "express", "lite", "limited", "inn vs hotel" brand versions, I expected a "breakfast bar"...not here! Holiday Inn Express Clark Quay served a full, hot, quality breakfast - like real hot cooked foods and fresh baked goods with lots of variety, not just cold cereal, packaged pastries, and a waffle maker! I was really blown away! Great location - Clark Quay is a lively area with good full-service restaurants, and close to Chinatown and several Hawker centers with exceptional dining options.

Yelp
We spent a few days in Singapore before going on a cruise and wanted somewhere convenient to stay. Really happy that we stayed at this Holiday Inn Express. We've stayed at the HI Express in various cities in the world and have never been disappointed. You know what to expect and the quality is always good. This hotel was no exception. Breakfast came with the price. Our room was compact, clean and had everything that you would expect in a hotel room. Close walking distance to the Quay, great location.

Yelp
The Holiday Inn Express Singapore Clarke Quay is the very definition of a 4/5 star property. Allow me to explain: Pros: + Fantastic buffet breakfast. As in, I would encourage you to wake up early to go down, beat the crowds, and enjoy some really delicious food. They had fresh fruit, soy milk, congee, noodles etc. + Fantastic service at the breakfast. The ladies who were working were amazing. Running around to make sure it was as clean as possible, and really doing their best. + Rooftop pool, which was a nice little touch. + Very reasonable location, within walking distance to rapid transit. If you are in Singapore just for the Marina Bay area, this will be a little bit of a hike. Cons: - The rooms are cramped. Like New York City cramped. There isn't much wiggle room, so don't expect a lot of space. - The bathroom has a sliding wall that opens up into the bedroom. Huh? Why would anyone, taking a poo, want to share that experience with the rest of the room? All things considered, I would absolutely return to this property, and just make sure that when my wife is around, that I use the public bathrooms if I need to poo.

Yelp
Spend 2 night at this hotel and can fully recommend this one. New hotel and modern in all aspects. Staff were efficient and polite from booking to cleaners. Special mention to staff working at breakfast buffet. Always smiling and on hand to clean tables within seconds of leaving empty plates. The buffet was good and plentiful and suitable variety on offer. Small but okay gym located on top floor and next to very inviting pool The hotel location was a 5 min walk to Clark Quay and one of the best nightlife scenes in Singapore. MRT is very close and allows easy access to entire city. Highly recommended

Yelp
Nice business class hotel. Very good location. I had a few issues with my room but the service was superb and the issues were quickly resolved with a smile. The included breakfast is fairly good (but please add bacon to the menu in the future. The sausages were not very good and the eggs needed a bit more cooking) Service at breakfast was also excellent. Such friendly and helpful people. Likewise very good service at the coffee shop and bar. The room was nice, clean, had everything I need. The rooftop pool is nice and I enjoyed a relaxing swim on my last day along with some great views. Housekeeping staff was also excellent. I give kudus to the staff and management for the high level of service. Because of that I can guarantee that this will be at the top of my list for my future business trips to Singapore.

Yelp
Beautiful new hotel with an amazing pool! The rooms are on the smaller side, but it's perfect for business travel. Location is ideal as it is very central. The staff is very friendly as well.

Yelp
The hotel feels quite new and shiny, much like lots of Singapore itself. It's located just off Clarke Quay, slightly north of Chinatown and near some great food. Although you're always close to good food in Singapore. I needed to cancel my first nights stay because of a flight delay, when I called the hotel at what was about 2am local time, staff were super nice and very helpful. They refunded me the full cost of one night even though I gave such short notice. The room itself is small, with not even enough room to leave a suitcase open without tripping over it. It's not a huge issue given how well located the hotel is, you'll spend more time outside. On the plus side, the room is well stocked with coffee, tea & water and is absolutely spotless. There's an open air gym and infinity pool on the roof which are quite a nice bonus. After a sweaty workout (due to the humidity as opposed to my rigor) and a cool shower, a few laps in the pool was pretty nice. The room price includes access to the breakfast buffet which is vast, and a zoo. They have a range of cereals, fruit, pastries, juices, eggs, noodles etc but it gets overrun with so many guests. There's just not enough seating. I saw at least two groups claim tables only to have them yanked before they returned with food. There must be a better system for that. At check-out, the front desk clerk recognized my name and introduced herself as being the person I had called to cancel a night. All in all, they couldn't have been nicer to interact with. Highly recommended if being near the Marina Bay Sands area isn't important to you.

Yelp
Clean and reasonable sized rooms with a comfortable bed. Unfortunately the wifi was slow and almost unusable in the room. The all inclusive - eat as much as you like - breakfast was the definition of a bun fight. There wee many more people dining than seats available.
