The hotel is located near/in a shopping mall and numerous restaurants. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful with recommendations of things to do in the local area. The breakfast buffet was excellent with a wide variety of choices. We stayed in a king room which was spacious and clean, with a good size bathroom. We found that the hotel was located in a safe area though we did largely stay in the precinct of the mall and the restaurants.

This was a standard big city Holiday Inn. The room was fine but average. They did have a fabulous breakfast buffet. We stayed here for a business purpose but the work area wasn’t great. We couldn’t get either printer to print. The hotel has a private access to the mall next door, where there are a number of restaurant options. It’s also adjacent to the train station that has an express train to the airport. It’s super convenient.

i am highly impressed with this hotel. Special thanks to Quinton, Karabo, Soloman, for such an awesome and wonderful stay. We were made to feel very special at this hotel and everyone went above and beyond to assist us with our needs. My husband needed ice for his injury which was provided at all times, and we also were assisted with a wheelchair and a room to accommodate the wheelchair. The customer service is exceptional, and the friendly nature of the staff made me feel so much at home. Thankyou holiday inn Rosebank! Thank you

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Rosebank in Johannesburg for 3 nights during our visit to South Africa. Here’s my honest and detailed review, covering both the pros and cons. Location: The hotel is in a very accessible area. It’s directly connected to the Rosebank Zone and the mall, which offers plenty of shopping options and a wide variety of restaurants. If you’re visiting for tourism, this location is ideal — most pickup points, including the City Sightseeing bus and safari tours, are right in front of the hotel. Room: The room was spacious — definitely more so than other Holiday Inns I’ve stayed at in different countries. The staff were kind enough to give us a room with a roadside view, which we appreciated. Bathroom: The bathroom was well-equipped with all the necessary amenities. However, one strange design choice stood out, there’s a glass door directly in front of the toilet seat. This means if someone is using the toilet, it’s visible from the room — quite unexpected and a bit uncomfortable. It would be much better if the glass was tinted or had an opaque film to ensure privacy. Water Bottles: A minor but recurring inconvenience was the drinking water. The hotel provides two complimentary bottles each day, but they’re only around 300ml each — not nearly enough. We often had to call the front desk to request more, which, while always accommodated, felt a bit awkward after a point. The hotel staff did deliver bottles whenever we requested it’s just that It would be more convenient if they provided larger bottles. Breakfast: The breakfast was great. They had all the essentials — breads, croissants, a live egg station, and a buffet spread that was more than enough to fuel us for the day. Everything was well-prepared and fresh. Staff: The hotel staff were kind, helpful, and consistently cooperative. They never refused any of our requests and were always ready to assist. It’s clear they genuinely want guests to have a comfortable and pleasant stay. Irrespective of few minor issues I mentioned, I do recommend tourists coming to Holiday Inn Rosebank for their stay. It’s a very convenient option.

This is a very comfortable hotel with excellent services centrally located in Rosebank, right next to the entrance to the Gautrain. The breakfast is excellent, the staff are friendly (especially Quinton), and the room was very comfortable. There are cheaper options, but for a high level of comfort, this is a great place to stay.

Stayed for 3 nights. The rooms were warm and cozy, especially with the cold winter. The pillows were are bit too soft and "deflate". Service was amazing and the breakfast buffet was great!

We arrived at this hotel and asked for a quiet room. They gave us a room that was very noisy, as it was opposite to an extractor fan or external air con unit. They gave us a new room that is much quieter but when we tried to shower, the water was so hot we couldn't. No matter what settings we tried it was scolding hot. We contacted reception to no avail. They said it was a problem of water in Johannesburg. What sort of hotel cannot provide cold water in the shower or taps?
