Holiday Inn Melbourne Airport by IHG

On my way back now ending my Australian holiday here with a nice comfortable room and bed before I get on my early flight. Hotel check-in was quick and friendly Aamil at the front desk. He's a good guy who also gave me some advice about a local shopping near here. I like too that they allow their guests to use the laundry room here so I don't have to bring my dirty clothes back home. In fact, a man from housekeeping named Abdul stopped what he was doing and allowed me to use a machine first. Good friendly helpful people work here. By the way, the pizza is very good at the restaurant too.

The staff is great - we had a problem with our early flight, so we returned to the hotel after super-early checkout and they kindly let us back in and extended our check out time beyond reasonable tbh, because we were with kids and we could all take some extra rest. It is 7-8 minutes walking super easy access to the airport, great location. Rooms are spacious, even have a microwave and a fridge. Great deal, great staff!

All aspects of our stay were excellent. We'd not stayed at this hotel before but will definitely stay here in future as it met all our needs. Check-in was quick, staff were very helpful, food was delivered on time and at a reasonable price, room was quiet and a good size. The only minor issue was that the room service food was a bit ordinary - my pizza lacked flavour. Overall, however, we were very happy with our stay.

The staff were all terrific. I was accommodated well & with ease for a 2nd night due to my cancelled flight. The rooms were both very clean the beds & pillows were great. The bathrooms may need some updating soon.. My room service was faster than expected & I was very impressed by the young woman who was working on room service delivery on my 2nd night, her name was Syvara or something like that.. she was very helpful & just delightful.. Thank you to all the team at the Holiday Inn at Melb airport.

There are many small touches that come together in a way that exceed expectations, especially for a transit hotel. The front desk warmly welcomed and checked us in after we arrived late at night. Despite the constant closing of doors in the morning, the room was quiet. The breakfast also has many good options, which is especially accommodating if you have dietary restrictions. The only small issue was all the street crossing you need to do if you are walking to and from the terminals.

Our experience with Holiday Inns over the years and our experience with Airport Hotels, in general, has been poor. This was a pleasant surprise. ||First of all, it is an easy 10 minute walk from the terminals. There is a Mc Donalds and convenience store along the way. Holiday Inn has a restaurant. The car rental garage is across the street. We returned our rental car after a road trip, then walked across the street. We walked back to the terminal the next morning and took the Airport Skybus (runs every 10 minutes) into Melbourne CBD. Spent the day in the City and returned to the Holiday Inn that evening. Easy. Very convenient and stress free place to stay the night before an early morning flight.||The building is dated, but we'll maintained. The room was large and comfortable. It was amazingly quiet, especially considering its location.||Reception was welcoming and efficient. ||It was an excellent stay.

This hotel is a perfect place to stay for quick trips, thanks to its incredibly convenient location just 400m from the airport. The frequent and reliable shuttle service made getting to and from the terminals completely stress-free. ​The staff across the board are exceptionally friendly, helpful, and kind. ​A massive shout out especially to Lana, the shuttle driver! She truly embodies outstanding hospitality and was an absolute breath of fresh air. We connected instantly over the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and the short drive felt too brief because the conversation was so great! ​This will definitely be my first choice of hotel whenever I'm in Melbourne next.

Our flight was cancelled late at night and we needed an overnight stay that was close to the airport. We called them and they were happy to accommodate. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They organised a early morning shuttle back to the terminal. They made a inconvenient situation, doable. Really appreciated!

Good value airport hotel. Does what it says on the tin - basic,clean, close to airport. Basic amenities but comfortable and clean. Good for a one nighter, but don't order room service / it's very average , re heated supermarket pizza and cold chips.

We stayed here only due to having an early flight the next day. The hotel is within walking distance to the airport. They do offer a shuttle but you need to sign up in advance since it is a popular request. Although it is super close to a major airport and we could see planes landing out our window, the room was surprisingly quiet. The bar had a decent selection of draft beer and the buffet breakfast had good choices and was fresh. The room could have used a refresh, but it was clean and was what we needed.

Stayed here twice now and both times happy with the room comfort and facilities. It is pretty expensive though and wouldn't choose to stay here other than for convenience and the fact that work pays. Obviously not much of an outlook although you can see the city from some rooms. Overall the room was very comfortable and well maintained. The restaurant and bar seem well stocked, but there are definitely cheaper options near by. Takeaway from the terminal I reckon!

Eh.. well compared to the two other hotels we stayed at in Australia, this was a major let down (aside from the fact that it was super close to the airport). It just seems pretty old and slightly run down, they could use some updates. That being said, it was a decent hotel and 3 Stars means they meet requirements, but def aren't anywhere above average. I also feel like the hotel was overpriced for what it offered (aside from distance from airport). It was practically the same price as The Grand Hyatt at the CBD in Melbourne and the Amora Jamison In Sydney during Vivid's opening weekend .. for that comparison it was not even remotely in the same class. That being said if you have a very early flight, want to stay at the airport, and don't mind paying the same amount for mediocre as you would for first class downtown ... this is perfectly fine.. the room was clean, the service was friendly, and it met minimum requirements for a 3 Star .. I just still can't believe it was the same price as some of the best hotels I've ever stayed at.. that's all

Pleasant, casual hotel in which I felt at ease. Not necessary to catch the shuttle from the terminal--it's a short stroll. I'd stay here in preference to some other Melbourne Airport onsite hotels because 1) the placement of security bollards and such make this hotel easier to get to than other options, and 2) everyone's nice, helpful, and knows what they're doing.

Stayed here for one night to be close to the airport. Hotel room was clean and nice. Bathroom paint on tiles was lifting a little. Happy with the stay and room. All good here!

Look past the ordinary decor when you stay here. For a start, although you are right at the airport, you wouldn't know it (in terms of noise) there is very little environmental noise to negatively impact the inetrior ambience. The hotel rooms as spacious, with very comfortable beds, good lighting, a well appointed desk and a broad range of movie/tv offerings. The bathroom is small, but the shower and towels are good. Restaurant (Vargas) is very nice - the a la carte dinner and breakfast buffet both feature good quality, fresh food. A bonus is that breakfast opens at 5.30am - fantastic. The Fitness Centre is worth a particular mention - staff underplay it, saying its a "small gym". Well, small it may be, but the equipment is state-of-the-art. It has excellent digital treadmills, an exercycle and an elliptical machine along with free weights and other machines. It's REALLY good, and open 24 hours - well done on that. It's the best equipment I've seen in a Holiday Inn gym - and I've seen several around the world. Overall this one is better than most Holiday Inns. There's a free shuttle across to the airport too.
