"The Dead Sea, it must be said, is shrinking. Every year, evaporation causes the giant lake to get ever saltier and the water level to get slightly lower, turning the coastline into a series of cliffs with precious little beach. The hotel resorts that line the lake’s northern coast have bought up most of the remaining sand, offering ticketed access to non-guests. Of these, the Holiday Inn Resort has one of the best beaches. Buy a ticket (around $35 on weekdays and $63 on weekends and holidays), then follow the steep path downhill to the sand and you’re free to indulge in the time-honored tradition of trying to swim in the saltiest water on the planet. Good luck—even the simplest doggy paddle will leave you bobbing up and down like a cork. On the beach, you’ll find pots of purifying Dead Sea mud to slather on your skin. You can wash it off in the sea, but if you’ve given yourself a face mask, stick to the available freshwater showers—the extreme saltiness of the Dead Sea is not something you want to get in your eyes."

After we arrived in Jordan Airport, we went directly to the hotel which was an hour drive. By the time we arrived the hotel, it’s 2am in the morning. The check-in was smooth and flawless. Staff were very friendly. Security was good as every car then went into the hotel had to be registered. We got two rooms which were connected, one with twin beds and another a king size bed. There was a piece of cake put in our room which was thoughtful. Both rooms were spacious. The thing we like the most is the private beach of the hotel, with beach chairs, life guard and small multiple small pool of dead sea mud for guests. After the dip in the sea, we went to the outdoor pool which was warm in the middle of the winter. The jacuzzi is even better. We had buffet dinner in the restaurant, there were not many guests, and the barbeque was the highlight. We enjoyed our stay there.

Do not go here. There are better options. I regret choosing here. I had a very very disappointing stay with my group yesterday. My experience 1 year ago was positive. So i brought another group, only to feel like we wasted money. 1. Dead sea closed. Understand it can be dangerous. But the whole stay is not the same. But the most disappointing thing is no compensation. All they offered was 10%off massage. Explaining as if it was such a great deal. 2. All the pools except 1 right at the bottom was closed. So that was also very poor. 3. Most shocking was dinner. Not buffet. Also quality is definitely not 5 star hotel. I payed for a extra person 25JD. Such a waste of money. This was not explained on booking.com. 4. Breakfast was also so disappointing. Not buffet. Also so slow in serving. In the end my guests just had to walk out. Understand that there are less tourists now. But the service and quality of 5 stat was not there. Such a waste of money. And i definately wont come here again, or refer anyone, or bring groups.

We had an amazing day-use experience at Holiday Inn Dead Sea. Even though we were only there for the day, it didn’t stop us from appreciating the quality and beauty of the hotel. The property is beautifully maintained, with clean and well-kept facilities that create a relaxing atmosphere. The highlight was the incredible lunch – the food was absolutely delicious with a great variety to choose from. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a perfect Dead Sea getaway!

I recently stayed at Holyday Inn, and overall, it was a decent experience. The positives: • The rooms were clean and well-maintained. • Both the breakfast and dinner buffets were good, with a nice variety of options. • The staff was friendly and provided good service. However, there were a few disappointments: • The pool was under maintenance, and we were not informed about this in advance. The noise from the maintenance was quite disturbing. • The beach was not sandy as expected, which was a bit disappointing. While there were enjoyable aspects of my stay, these issues did affect the overall experience.
