Holiday Inn Resort Vanuatu

I would have preferred doing a review after all the post-earthquake repairs and refurbishment was completed. However, I enjoyed the hotel, especially the excellent buffet breakfast. Room was good, except some noise from air conditioning or some other system at night. The reception staff were the best. Some restaurant staff good do with a bit more training in engagement with guests. Location is excellent if you look for a quiet part of Port Vila.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this incredible hotel with my mum and my 1 and half year old baby, and from start to finish, the experience was nothing short of amazing. The entire team went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, but I especially want to highlight Mayank Kothari, the Front Office Manager, for his exceptional service. Mayank was incredibly helpful, professional, and always ready with a warm smile. He made the check-in process seamless, offered great local recommendations, and personally ensured that all our needs were met. His dedication and hospitality truly made our stay special. We also want to acknowledge that due to the earthquake last year, we completely understand that some facilities or services were not fully available. However, the team handled everything with such grace and professionalism. Despite these challenges—clearly out of their control—the staff made sure we had an unforgettable experience, and their efforts did not go unnoticed. The hotel itself remains a beautiful, comfortable place to relax, with clean, spacious rooms and excellent service throughout. The warmth and attentiveness of the staff truly made it feel like a home away from home. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. Huge thanks to Mayank and the entire team for making our stay so enjoyable and for making the trip extra special for our son Ari who absolutely loved every minute. we’ll definitely be returning!

Our stay at the Holiday Inn in Vanuatu has been truly wonderful. The staff are exceptional — warm, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. Their hospitality made us feel genuinely welcome. And the views are simply breathtaking, from the lush gardens to the sparkling waters right outside our window. A perfect place to relax and enjoy the beauty of Vanuatu.

Friendly and helpful staff, excellent food, and beautiful grounds complemented by comfortable and well provisioned accommodation all in a quiet location. Unreservedly recommend. Like much of the accommodation on Efate Island the hotel was affected by the destructive earthquake almost a year ago, reconstruction, renovation, and general upgrade should be completed within a year.

Despite the damage from the earthquake and cyclone last year, the hotel was still really lovely. The staff went out of their way to tell me what to expect prior to my arrival in terms of which facilities were closed, which I appreciated. The rooms are comfortable, and the property is really peaceful and relaxing. The food was also really good. Matilda at the front desk was especially great - she helped me navigate the town, gave me recommendations, and was always really nice to talk to every day. I look forward to coming back to the hotel once the repairs are finished :)

I had a wonderful experience at Holiday Inn Vanuatu! The customer service was excellent—staff were friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout our lunch. The Mother’s Day buffet was absolutely on point, with a great variety of delicious food and a warm atmosphere. We truly felt appreciated and well taken care of. I’ll definitely be coming back again. Highly recommended!

I had an amazing time here. The breakfast is beyond description. They have various dishes, including a local dish that I wouldn't miss every morning. Also, the chef makes delicious omelette, and you choose what you want to be in it. Amazing, right 😊 The service is great, lovely and helpful workers.

Service & Hospitality The staff was absolutely incredible—friendly, welcoming, and always going the extra mile to make sure guests have the best experience. Whether it was at the front desk, the restaurant, or the pool bar, every interaction was warm and genuine. They truly make you feel like part of the Holiday Inn family! Facilities & Activities The pool area was amazing, with plenty of lounge chairs and a fantastic swim-up bar. The resort offers a variety of activities, from kayaking and paddleboarding to cultural experiences that give you a taste of local life. There’s also a beautiful golf course and a spa, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. Food & Dining The on-site restaurant served delicious food, with fresh local ingredients and a great selection of dishes. Breakfast was a highlight, with a variety of tropical fruits, fresh pastries, and hot options. The cocktails at the bar were also fantastic—nothing beats sipping a drink by the pool with an ocean breeze! Location & Surroundings The resort is in a great location, close enough to Port Vila for easy access to shops, markets, and tours, but far enough to feel like a peaceful escape. The surrounding lagoon is beautiful, and the resort’s private beach makes it even more special. Final Thoughts Holiday Inn Resort Vanuatu is the perfect place for a relaxing holiday. Whether you’re traveling solo, as a couple, or with family, you’ll find everything you need for an unforgettable experience. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Vanuatu! 10/10 experience—can’t wait to come back!
