We stayed at Holiday Inn Sudbury for 5 days, and overall, the experience was frustrating and well below expectations.
The room had visible spider webs on the lamp and around the ceiling, along with actual spiders — a clear sign of poor cleaning. This was especially concerning with a toddler in the room.
The breakfast service was another major issue. Even though we showed our toddler's breakfast coupon, the staff insisted we physically bring our sleeping toddler downstairs just to get a small snack or some milk for him. There was no flexibility or consideration, and their tone was unnecessarily rude. They also seemed irritated if anyone arrived 15–20 minutes before breakfast ended, rushing through service rather than being welcoming.
There was also inconsistency at the front desk. When we bought water bottles one evening, the staff told us we could have just called from our room and had them delivered. But later that same night, when we actually called to request water, we were told we had to come to the lobby to get it ourselves.
After 5 nights, the lack of cleanliness, inconsistent communication, and unwelcoming attitude left us with a very poor impression. Not family-friendly, and not what we expected from a Holiday Inn.
