Yelp
I'm torn between three and four stars for this place. On one hand, it's very reasonably priced and has the quaint feeling of motels from the 50s and 60s. On the other hand, it has the feeling of a motel from the 50s and 60s.
Our room was quite large, but it had what seemed like astroturf for carpet. The sleeping area was fine, but could have used some sprucing up. The bathroom was in desperate need of a remodel. It really seemed like they were doing everything they could to avoid having to pay for a remodel, so it was at least nice that they were trying, but it will eventually catch up with them.
The room was pretty clean, but could have been a little cleaner (for some reason, I have found a woman's hair in every hotel room we've stayed in during this trip). Cleanliness is more important to me than anything else. The Holiday Lodge was acceptable in this regard, just not great. Oh, don't expect much for breakfast. It was a few prepackaged breakfast items and coffee or a small can of juice. Again, at least they try.
If I were on a budget again when driving through Lander, I'd probably stay here again. If I had a little more to spend, I'd probably stay somewhere else.
