"Why book? In the heart of the jungle, this boutique hotel and holistic center offer a respite rooted in transformation. Set the scene: Guests of this hotel often eschew the late-night parties on Tulum’s beach road in favor of the property’s vast wellness programming, from kundalini yoga and breathwork classes to cacao ceremonies and sound baths. This hotel is for serious yogis and travelers looking to prioritize their wellness—don’t expect to party here. Instead, expect to gather around the rectangular outdoor pool by day and enjoy live music around the property’s fire pit by night. The rooms: Each of the 24 guest rooms is peaceful and minimalist, with an added option to stay in a communal bunk bed house known as the Beehive. Food and drink: The property’s restaurant, Tierra, offers light vegetarian cuisine for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Meals include acai and cacao bowls for breakfast, Beyond Meat hamburgers for lunch, and sourdough, wood-fired pizzas for dinner. The spa: Holistika offers a full schedule of daily yoga classes held at its several yoga shalas, ranging from Hatha and vinyasa to kundalini and acro yoga. The property also hosts temazcal sweat-lodge ceremonies, cacao ceremonies, and offers craniosacral and deep tissue massage treatments. The neighborhood/area: This property is tucked away in the jungle behind the Tulum Pueblo. The service: Relaxed, laid-back service. Most of the focus is on the property’s wellness offerings, which include a full schedule of complimentary yoga. Anything left to mention? In collaboration with the Tulum Art Club, the property offers a self-guided art walk where colorful, psychedelic murals are spread throughout the jungle." - Michaela Trimble

My wife and I stayed at Holistika for our two-week honeymoon, and it was the perfect place for us! We felt so relaxed and at peace here. The natural surroundings are beautiful, the room was clean and comfortable, the classes and workshops were incredible, the vegan food at the restaurant was amazing, and the staff is so incredibly kind and helpful. We did yoga & movement classes, a Temazcal ceremony, sound healings, and a cacao ceremony. We loved having the restaurant Tierra right there. They have so many vegan options that are delicious, and the vibe is perfect. Special shoutout to Diego & Manuel at the front desk for helping us with any questions, arranging tours, and just being nice people. Same with Javi at the restaurant. The entire staff (from the yoga teachers to the front desk guys to the restaurant staff to the cleaning crew) were all incredibly kind and warm people. We loved being able to take just a short walk down the street and have tons of other restaurant options that had great vegan food. We will absolutely come back to stay here again!

The Yoga Studio I took a Restorative Yoga class yesterday (January 1) at 7:30pm. I don't know the teachers name. It was a really strange class to say the least. 1. It wasn't a restorative class at all. Maybe due to lack of props or education but even if she was teaching something else....it still did feel that good and relaxing. 2. It was cold outside and inside the studio it was even colder. All windows were open and I asked to close one but it didn't help much. I could see many ppl felt cold and uncomfortable but the teacher just couldn't see it and didn't do anything about it. As she didn't care and couldn't read the room. The very cold floor made it even worse. Soz neither the sequence not the room temperature made this class to feel restorative. 2. The music during the class was not very relaxing either. And a friend felt like some parts of it were from a horror movie. The savasana music was a cherry on top. I felt like we were in a rock concert of some sorts The percussion was crazy. I don't know what the teacher was thinking to put that music for final relaxation. Some people left, some came out of shavasana earlier as it was impossible to relax, plus it was too cold to relax. Also, I heard many people don't like the classes there in Holistika so I was surprised to read so many good reviews. Also I heard the teachers get paid very low at this studio (less than anywhere else in town) soayne that has smth to do with the quality of classes. The restaurant. I had some eggs (forgot the name of the dish) there and chia pudding for breakfast and those were good. I had golden milk, chocolate and those were bad. I don't know if it's the mylk that they use or smth else But I definitely don't recommend it.

I stayed 2 of the best nights in a long time. Walking around in the peaceful area filled with small surprise messages, the Art Walk with beautiful paintings. I did a great yoga class, a 3 hr first time Pottery class (so nice to get my hands dirty), and at night an excellent sound healing session. The room was large and beautiful, overlooking the pool with splashing water, so peaceful. Had the best avocado pizza ever and Thai vegan food. Staff was so nice and friendly. It gave me deep long lasting memories and I’ll soon go back again.

An amazing place to stay. It's in the middle of the jungle, which means just walking around feels magical. Especially if you go on the Art Walk, a route through the jungle filled with various art installations. The single rooms are big and cool (temperature wise) with an amazing shower. The restaurant is affordable and incredible. They combine flavors in an exquisite way. Every dish is a feast for the senses. But the best part was undoubtedly the people. They were all incredibly warm and kind. They answered every one of my questions (including those about the area) patiently and with great detail. They helped me when I wanted to change rooms. They let me do a late check-out on the final day, and even offered to let me use the showers in the communal bunk bed room before leaving for the airport (my flight was in the evening and check-out was at noon). Tye place might be a bit pricey, but trust me, it's worth every penny.

My wife and I stayed here for a weekend and enjoyed all the grounds including the pool, food + retail, art walk, and just all the lovely paths through the jungle. Manuel at the front desk was lovely as well as Perla in the ice-cream/snack shop. We also enjoyed the complimentary yoga class Saturday morning with live music accompaniment, Mariana taught the best yoga class I have been to in years! Food at Tierra restaurant was delicious and fresh! Can't wait to return soon hopefully :)

Google
Second time at Holistika its such a beautiful healing place, big rooms, big beds, beautiful view of the trees and jungle, just beautiful everywhere you look. It has a real magical, positive feel surrounded by the jungle and art works everywhere.. it is a mind, body experience of pure bliss! The vegan restaurant is delicious, I’m not vegan but everything on the menu is totally divine! Diego at the front desk was super helpful and kind, all of the staff actually, everyone accommodating everyone in such a kind, honest, polite manner! I would say the rooms could do with a small refresh paint job, looking slightly tired. Totally recommend!

Google
This is my favorite place in Tulum. A true hidden gem in the jungle. I love the sound baths in the domo. And I love walking on the art walk or relaxing by the pool. Having all the trees around brings such a feeling of calm.

Yelp
Holistika is a Hotel/Wellness Community, so you do not have to stay there to attend the classes. You can also sign up online. It's kind of like that movie Wanderlust. I'll leave it at that. I attended at sound bath class, and it was amazing. Afterwards I walked the grounds and checked out the art walk. Then I finished by grabbing a smoothie. Holistika is a little hard to find at night, and maps will go out, so make a plan ahead of time. The people are friendly, I would definitely say there is a community feel here. If you are heading to tulum for more of a spiritual experience, this is a place you must visit.

Yelp
Holistika itself as a holistic center is an amazing place. You have everything you need here- a treehouse, sound healing dome, artwalk, little nooks and crannies to explore, coworking, cafe, dessert shop, boutique, pool, everything. The restaurant however, is a place with mixed reviews. The food is rather low quality, the menu is extensive and does rotate occasionally, and some love it and some hate it. They pre make all their food and drink for the entire day so that they can serve quickly. The service, however, can be horrible at certain times, or really prompt depending on who you get. Their desserts, even though vegan, are full of sugar and fat. Their snacks and dips as well. It is essentially vegan junk food. I avoid eating here. It is a good place to come and meet people, socialize, enjoy the pool and premises.

Yelp
I come here to get food and a smoothie. I am right down the road from Holistika. The grounds are just fabulous. Very soothing walkways through the jungle. They lead you to the different meditation, yoga, therapy rooms on site. Magical strolls will fill you with a sense of peace and good vibes. Mystical fountains, peaceful artworks and more. The staff is very friendly and attentive to your needs. I did not stay here, so I can not say how the rooms are. But if they are anything like the Holistic Campus you won't be disappointed. They have different events everyday. Yoga classes, sound healing, etc. check their website for more details. They have many Vegan options for food. BTY: They do have a Botique on site.

Yelp
Warning - All their wellness shots have agave syrup on them although it's not written on the menu as one of the ingredients. If you're sensitive to sugar ... like I am, it's a big let down. I told the staff about the incident and they said the shots are already pre-made. I was ven asking prior to ordering if they had a pure chlorella or spirulina drink since I didn't want much sugar. You think they would have warned me about the agave syrup. This is not the way to start your morning. The customer service is slow. There's a girl that works at the bar who will answer to orders but then forgets or doesn't delegate. We quickly learn not to ask her. She should at least say, please ask the other boys. Much room for improvement on customer service. Nice space
