We had a really really great time here and will certainly be back. I hadn't researched this beach so was so pleasantly surprised that I was able to take my wheelchair with it's power trike the whole way down to the sea in order to swim with our boy. There is a path through the sand which is mixed with volcanic sand so it is very compacted and perfect for wheelchairs! The beach is dog friendly and accessed via a wooden boardwalk. This is fairly steep so be careful, especially if it is wet. The beach is super scenic, with pine trees and sea lavender. There is loads and loads of parking, a cafe and toilet facilities.

Lovely beach, very large sandy area with a wooded area behind it. Dog friendly. If you are travelling there, it's easy to park on Lady Anne's Dr, good facilities at The Lookout including picnic tables, toilets, cafe, area to wash sand off your feet, get a drink for your dog.

Spent the Summer Solstice in the Woods, Dunes, and beaches. Holkham beach is big , suited to those who love to walk. There are a few ways to enter from the car park. Most people go straight on,(quickest route )if you want quieter vibes, take the left path and look for the boardwalk on the right, this will take you to the beach or through the wood's. There is also the option to walk a path through the middle of both on the Dunes. Google maps will help here, and show points of interest in and around the whole area. Have fun 👍 😊

The first time I've ever been on a beach with my wheelchair, what a feeling. It might not be accessible for all and improvements are needed, but it's a flipping good starting point. Plus theres the Lookout, with cafe, accessible toilets and stunning views, not to mention a 2km trail to Wells beach, although it's somewhat stoney/bumpy. But it gives you belief in change and a quietened mind.

Really popular with dog walkers, this area is well worth visiting. A short walk through the woods brings you to vast open sands with some fabulous sand dunes and the most amazing sea view. A lovely cafe at the car park

Holkham Nature Reserve is a breathtaking slice of Norfolk’s natural beauty and an absolute haven for wildlife lovers and walkers alike. Covering a stunning mix of landscapes – from salt marshes and sand dunes to pine woodlands and vast beaches – it offers something special in every direction. The reserve is teeming with birdlife, making it a paradise for birdwatchers. You’ll often spot wading birds, geese, and even birds of prey, especially if you walk along the boardwalks or venture out towards the hides. The walking trails are well-marked and range from relaxing strolls to more adventurous hikes with incredible views of the coastline.

We visited the beach on a sunny day. It's a ~10min walk from the car to the beach itself, and you can walk through woodland. It's absolutely beautiful, and the reserve around is thoughtfully maintained. We arrived at midday on a Sunday and there was plenty of parking still available. There's a cafe / restaurant and ice-cream van you can stop at (we didn't visit) right by the carpark. Overall, a gorgeous destination and worth the drive from Cambridge.

We weren't sure what we could expect before we arrived at this stunning place, walking through the forest to discover the beautiful beach, the cleanest water we ever see in the UK honestly (talking about from our point of view) we definitely come one day maybe to stay for a weekend to explore more. Tickets price was okay, you can pay by card at the ticket machine. Thank you for looking after this beautiful place for us visitors. Top Nature Reserve ❤️🤗
