This hotel is excellent. Great location. The hotel has a great pool with bar and then also has a restaurant with bar and its own coffee shop w desserts. Plenty of space to sit and have a drink with fabulous happy hour drink specials and apps. The humus and grouper nuggets were fabulous. We will stay here every time we come to town!

We attended a day long vintage car show with live rock-a-Billy music by Hot Rod Hornets in the poolside area,. Seven vintage cars set the scene for a busy pool area with the full bar packed and the pool completely full with little space to move around. The DJs and live music provided the scene for several dancers. The event included a vintage swim suit competition with several stunning outfits. |MARK provided great attention in security |We also grabbed some basic beverages at the indoor bar. Restaurant. |Accessible entry and interior area and pool are accessible, impeded only by the vast number of people in attendance |Accessible restrooms with 2 grab bars and 5ftx 5 ft area|Event parking is challenging with van accessible street parking and some faces with 2 hour limit.

I cannot in good faith recommend this place. I am currently staying here and it feels like the reviews are grossly inflated. I will keep it simple:||The good: ||Location - centrally located and not too far from downtown, walkable.||Parking - this is a plus and a minus, free parking is a positive, but more info in the bad.||Water - free bottled water from the front desk is a nice perk.||The bad:||Parking - although it is free, good luck finding a spot. This hotel seems to cater to locals and shares a lot with the sister property, The Avalon. Vehicles are supposed to display a pink hotel parking placard, but this is not monitored and an informal count revealed about half of the cars without placards. This led to circling the block on more than one occasion trying to find a spot. We had to park on the street on Saturday night.||Noise - we have a first floor unit and we can regularly hear the people above us moving about. The door to the room sticks and is|difficult to open and I literally have to shoulder it to close it (I’m 230 pounds). I feel terrible for the neighboring rooms every time I close the door. On a related note, Sundays is a free for all at the pool. The DJ is loud and the pool area is overran with people (estimated 200 people there at the time of this review). They appear to cater to locals, as it is “open to the public.”||Security - while the property felt the need to check our bag twice within 5 feet (2 different employees) to ensure we weren’t bringing alcoholic beverages to the pool, no one addressed the couple smoking a cannabis pen in the pool while there were children present.

I'm not sure there enough space here to write how incredible my stay here was ! The girl at the front desk was incredibly kind and attentive. The Hotel was beautiful and so clean ! My favorite was the restraint though. The food was incredible and our server (Sarina ) was perfect !!! So attentive and definitely knows her way around the menu. We wanted to try a blend of the most popular items and everything was great ! I highly recommend and I will come back (repeatedly) in the future.

**Review: Weekend Getaway at The Hollander Hotel, St. Petersburg** I recently had the pleasure of enjoying a weekend getaway at The Hollander Hotel in downtown St. Petersburg, and I must say it was an exceptional experience. The hotel, steeped in history and charm, boasts a beautiful ambiance that enhances the overall stay. I was particularly impressed with the professionalism and attentiveness of the staff. Upon arrival, Jeff kindly facilitated an early check-in, setting a positive tone for our visit. Additionally, Billy provided valuable recommendations for dining and local attractions, ensuring we made the most of our time in the area. The hotel's location is ideal, with Beach Drive and St. Pete Pier just a short ten-minute walk away. Our room was not only comfortable but also impeccably clean, and the bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever encountered in a hotel setting. On the morning of our departure, we enjoyed breakfast at the hotel’s restaurant, the Tap Room. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent, making for a delightful dining experience. Thank you, The Hollander, for a memorable stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and look forward to returning for a longer visit in the future.

Enjoyed the Hollander! Small room, with comfortable bed. Had an old feel from years past and old classic movies to boot, which I enjoyed. Great, helpful staff. Cool seating area. Nice bar where I enjoyed conversing with my cousin who came to visit and a few other guest. Nice pastry bar also. Love my home city ❤️

Google
Two negatives… LOTS of positives! - LOUD a/c window unit 4’ from head ( a/c from third floor drips down to second floor and this is what you hear all night. Video attached) - shower ice cold or scolding hot. no warm water (stayed two nights happened both mornings ) + super cute old building + restaurant downstairs is amazing! + pool was great! + walked to downtown 8-10mins + free water + friendly staff! + free parking. Get there early and don’t leave. No spots in the evening. Overall I will come back! 😀😀😀😀😀

I had the pleasure of enjoying breakfast at your hotel —and I must say, the experience exceeded expectations, thanks in large part to our server, Howard. From the moment we were seated, Howard was attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. He made sure our coffee cups were always full and that we had everything we needed without ever being intrusive. His recommendations from the menu were spot-on, and the food was fresh, flavorful, and served promptly. What stood out the most was Howard’s positive attitude and professionalism. He brought such a great energy to the morning, making our start to the day that much better. It’s rare to find service that feels both polished and personal, but Howard delivered exactly that. I would absolutely return for breakfast again—and hope to be seated in Howard’s section when I do! Thank you!

Yelp
We love this spot. We found it because we share the same name. (Unfortunately, it doesn't get us any discounts though!) We travel to St. Pete often because of family in the area. The downtown and beachside park are within walking distance. One of our favorite restaurants is nearby. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The ambiance is pretty eclectic with tons of photos hanging everywhere- old movie stars in their heyday, historical photos of the area, artwork etc. The rooms are relatively small but functional, clean and comfortable. There's a comfy bar and dining inside and out. We love sitting outside while dining. It's almost like sitting on a big porch. Food is so-so, but definitely adequate. There is also a big outdoor pool with a bar for the party crowd. Ample off street parking as well. Check them out!

Yelp
Awesome place , great vibe and service is great. Food is fantastic and they are tucked inside hotel lobby which has a pool area, great front porch to dine at. Love everything including the cut cafe/coffee shop next door

Philip K.

Yelp
I have been visiting HH for years, never had a bad experience. Everyone that works there is pleasant, professional and accommodating. The pool is amazing, I just wish they would remove the beach balls. The guests that play with them are usually drunk and less than considerate.

Lori G.

Yelp
Very nice property, service providers, drinks, and food. We've stayed in the area/next door before, but never here until last month. We arrived and were surprised as how comfortable, cute, and friendly the place was. The bar and food were beyond enjoyable. So happy with this place that we've already made another reservation there in a couple of weeks. We can't wait to return!

Whitney W.

Yelp
I haven't stayed overnight here, but I can say the vibe for drinks poolside is great. It's got a retro feel to it that makes you feel like you could be at a 1960s pool party. Service is friendly and the bar offers a variety of refreshing cocktails. I want to make it to one of their Sunday afternoon pool parties. Too much to do in Downtown Saint Pete!

Jacob S.

Yelp
The ambiance of the lobby bar is phenomenal. Not something I would expect in a St Pete hotel. Very warm and welcoming. I've only been for "Martini Monday" which serves several varieties for $6 of which I think the Espresso Martini is he best on the menu. Although, the standard Dirty Martini is pretty amazing too. If you're nice you can get stuffed olives. There is an appetizer menu that offers discounted options as well. All of which have proven to be excellent. Although I haven't tried out their pool, there is a bar there as well and I believe you can pay on the weekends to reserve a cabana and have poolside cocktails and food. That is on the list for summer no doubt.

Jennifer B.

Yelp
Great hotel with an amazing dinning room. The food was great and the drinks were tasty and strong. Friendly and super clean.

Marty B.

Yelp
If you like vintage, historic, unique hotels then you've found a gem here! 90+ year old property with so much nostalgia, character and charm. It's not modern so don't expect huge room or huge bathrooms. Great bar and dining area, coffee shop, outdoor poolside bar, very nice pool with ample loungers and several cabanas. Free WiFi, free parking and very reasonable rates in a central location. This is the only place I will now stay when I'm in downtown St. Pete!

Cris M.

Yelp
Excellent staff and management! We came here for some solace after the hurricanes and they went above and beyond. We're locals and this has always been one of our favorite places to come for the pool bar and restaurant. We send all of our out of town friends and fam here. Cannot say enough about the team and location. Love the Hollander.

Karie B.

Yelp
From the outside and the noisy restaurant, this hotel looks hip. But the rooms leave a lot to be desired. Only 1 person can fit in the bathroom at a time. No storage. Hard bed. Noisy AC. No room safe. Not enough light. I could go on. We moved after one night.

Joy O.

Yelp
Amazing staff, great rooms, and perfect vibes for a getaway! Food was great, and for an added bonus they have their own coffee shop! We will be back!

John L.

Yelp
First stay at a boutique hotel and I wanted to like it. I did not. (See the end of pool/service area for the worst of it) The room: Room wasn't bad and is serviceable at the right price. Bed was too soft for my liking but I like a hard mattress, it did not keep me awake. No working outlets next to the bed on either side. The hotel hung large panel pictures over them. The bathroom is tiny. If sharing the room will have to keep toiletries outside as there is no space in the bathroom itself. Don't except two people to get ready in the bathroom at the same time. I recommend an outside facing room as pool is a party scene and loud. Pool/Service: At check in the customer service was brief but fine. Things really took a turn for the worse with my stay when I went to the pool. To start they make you check a water bottle even if it's empty. Stronger security the TSA for no outside food and beverage. They claim it's for the liquor control board rules, however many of the people by the pool were visibly over served. Lots of people smoking and vaping. Pool is small and dirty as well as over crowded with shoulder to shoulder people, unless standing in the middle. The lowlight of my entire stay was when I was sitting at a table, at the pool; and a bar server came and picked up the chairs and table I was sitting at with out asking me, and moved them to a rented cabana. I have never been so disrespected in my life. I complained to the hostess/ water bottle bouncer of the pool and she offered me a free drink despite my leaving on my last day. Did not get the chance to try the restaurant nor did I want to by the end of the stay and free parking and water bottles were nice.

Theresa M.

Yelp
They have a great happy hour inside and a bar around the pool Also outside seating on the porch where you can watch the cars go bye, wishing they were on the porch with you ‼‼ They also have a very reasonable prices $7.00 for food on the happy hour menu. You can also order off the menu if you want a little more. The bakery on the ground indoor floor has very nice choices as well. I took a raspberry lemon tart home and had it after our meet-up. Parking beside it and additional parking through the alley.

Martha T.

Yelp
Hollander Hotel was our lifeboat through two brutal hurricanes, and we cannot thank the entire staff enough for their hospitality and dedication to extending our stay until we could return home. Truly the best hotel in Saint Petersburg! Amazing!

Mateja K.

Yelp
This hotel is gorgeous! It is small and well run, and it has great decorations and lots of character! The small pool and bar area is charming, with complimentary cabana seating. The staff are friendly and helpful. The a/c in the bedroom is noisy, and the hot water takes five minutes to kick in, it is a beautiful location as well with free parking!

Beth F.

Yelp
Reserved a cabana last Sunday for a Bachelorette party! Everyone was so friendly and Colby our server was amazing! We had really good appetizers and lots of delicious drinks. The DJ was really fun and all the girls had a blast! Thank you Hollander!

georgio s.

Yelp
The Hollander is a nice place to hang out. I like the pool area. But my issue, and that of others, is that if one is allergic to peanuts or tree nuts, one cannot eat any of their desserts. And they don't care.

Amelia W.

Yelp
I came here on a weekday night so it wasn't overly crowded. It was a beautiful night outside so I chose to sit on the patio which is the most beautiful vibe. A good area to sit outside and enjoy the old time beauty of the building. It's dog friendly as well so I got to see some cute puppies! I can't for the life of me remember my server's name unfortunately. But she was incredibly attentive, and anything we needed was brought out to us in less than a minute, even the food came out pretty quickly. I got the jalapeño slaw as a side because I've never had that before and it was surprisingly really good. The portion size for the slaw was absolutely ginormous as well. I also got a Reuben, which is one of my go to sandwiches when I don't know what to order , the moment I bit down into it I thought I was going to inhale the whole entire thing. It was so delicious. I would definitely come back again and see what the dining experience is like on the inside .

Jeff H.

Yelp
1920s era hotel with tons of charm, great food, awesome coffee on site and a poolside cabana bar! The old-fashions there are the best drink with many varieties of bourbon. Free parking while staying there and a great location right in the middle of ol' St. Pete!

R H.

Yelp
Friendly staff! Great location! Quaint and eclectic vibe! Tap House has fantastic food, the bartenders know their drinks, and the coffee shop always has something for your sweet tooth!

Dave K.

Yelp
Another great stay at the Hollander; old world feel at check in, great pool bar and restarting soon the best weekend pool party in St Pete. Stayed in 212, pretty quiet. room super clean, excellent easy glide drawers and furnishings. Bed a tad too hard from my taste. All room with mini fridge, micro, coffee maker. Sunday brunch was eggcellent. Among us we had the bennie, a custom breakfast bowl and a breakie sammie. decent if not spectacular Bloody. this is not Yelp hyperbole. They have the friendliest staff of ANY hotel i've ever stayed in. They must treat their employees as good as their guests.

London L.

Yelp
Great hotel! It's older, but it's quaint, cute and as a terrific restaurant, pool and outdoor bar. Close to everything.

Kathy R.

Yelp
So much character! Lovely old hotel with lots to do. They've done a good job updating a 1930's hotel. Small rooms and baths but neat and clean and lovely. The only downside was the lack of hot water at 8 am.

Megan R.

Yelp
The best food in St Pete! I take all my friends from out of town here for a great experience!

Janine L.

Yelp
Talk about two bartenders slaying it .Anthony and Chris were fantastic they ran the bar like bosses plus service at the bar for food was amazing . Drinks off the chair I highly recommend this bar !

Lorraine B.

Yelp
Sunday fun day pool party 11a-2p after gets crowded a lot of men - Dillion the bartender awesome ask for him. DJs where bump-in

Nick L.

Yelp
I cannot recommend this hotel enough! Tracia in the front is so nice. My wife and I haven't had a night out in years so she upgraded our room for us and gave us a bottle of champagne. She's amazing, everyone at this hotel is and the hotel is decorated beautifully. If you want to make great memories and have a wonderful experience, stay at the Hollander Hotel and tell Tracia we love her!!

Kevin H.

Yelp
Probably the best outdoor seating in St Pete . Food is good people are really nice. They make a good Bloody Mary as well

Jenny B.

Yelp
The Hollander is the perfect hotel for a stay in St. Petes. The Hotel is charming throughout. The porch is welcoming, and so is the lobby - hosting a fireplace and plenty of seating. The rooms are clean and outfitted with everything you'd expect. Additionally the Hollander has a beautiful pool with an outdoor pool bar, a restaurant and a cafe. Additionally the Hollander is within walking distance to plenty of downtown restaurants.

Gail D.

Yelp
Really nice. Very quaint. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Pool bartender was very sweet. They have a shuttle to Tropicana field. Free parking in rear of hotel. Safe area. We were on 2nd floor & it was quiet. We will definitely be back. I've included a lot of pictures.

Yelp
I found out about this hotel when I looked up dog friendly hotels. My friend and I decided to do a little staycation. I was originally going to bring my dog along but ended up having a friend dog-sit him. I booked my accommodation through Chase/Expedia and was happy to find out that the hotel provides free parking and wifi, which a lot of places charge extras for. I spoke to Chris to double check the hotel information and he was nice over the phone. We had a little trouble finding the main entrance, but when we finally found it, it made sense where it was located. Since we had parked by the pool and spa place, all we saw was the Tap Room entrance. The check-in process was easy because we had already pre-paid. The staff (I think his name was Jeff?) gave us a parking pass to put on the car dashboard for overnight parking, 2 bottled waters, and room keys. He was informative about the hotel, restaurant, and amenities. The hotel room was so cute. Everything was clean and organized. After settling down, we walked around for a bit, checked out the lobby, stairs area with all the framed pictures, and went to the Tap Room. I wasn't a big fan of the cocktails that we ordered but it's fine. I found out that hotel guests can reserve cabanas for free, so I asked the manager, Aaron, about it and he put us down for a slot and explained how it works. Next day, when we went to the pool during our assigned time, there was a yoga class going on! I wished we had known so we could have had the right attires and joined. We hung out at our assigned cabana until the class finished and then ordered drinks from the bartender, Langdon. He was friendly and professional. Later a server, Jane, helped take our food orders and she was nice too. The pool was gorgeous and fun! Overall, our experience at the Hollander was GREAT! The staff members have been so nice, we did not have to worry about parking, there is plenty of seating, a lot of places are walking distance, the area was safe and well lit, hot water in the shower works, the decors are cool, and more. We did hear neighbors fight during the night on our last night, but it did not bother us, we thought it was funny. I definitely want to come back again and bring my dog, he would've loved to stay at this hotel and explore St. Petersburg.

Jodi Z.

Yelp
Love this hotel, great place to stay for a Rays game. Nice staff, great poolside bar, taproom, restaurant and coffee shop. Free parking and free shuttle to the Trop! Shout out to our shuttle driver, Gee! She had us laughing there and back! Clean and historic charm. This has been our go to hotel tor a few years now and will continue to be.

Darcie P.

Yelp
The Hollander Hotel is a cute boutique hotel located in Downtown St. Pete. Josh P. and I recently stayed here on a Sunday night. We experienced exceptional hospitality from the moment we checked in to when we checked out. HUGE pro - they offer a free shuttle service to take you to places in the surrounding area. We were in town for the Enchanted Christmas being held at Tropicana Field. We were dropped off right across the street and skipped the long line turning in to park. When we were ready to head back to the hotel we called the front desk and within 15 minutes the shuttle was there. The pool area is absolutely gorgeous. Apparently during the summer they host epic pool parties. Josh P. and I did grab a couple drinks at the outside bar while we enjoyed the gorgeous weather. The owner has done an amazing job renovating the hotel. There is so much history throughout the building. Note, the bathroom is a bit smaller than a bathroom one would see at a hotel chain. However, it was very clean and honestly how much time do we actually spend in the bathroom? Overall, I had a wonderful experience at the Hollander Hotel and highly recommend staying here.

Brianna A.

Yelp
I will be back here. It was a bit rainy and I forgot my suit so I missed out on the pool. The hotel was clean the staff was friendly and it was just so relaxing. People were hanging out and mingling all over the place. I loved it!! The location was great. We walked to the pier there was a lot going on down there. We Ubered to other places near by and that was about $8 trip. Not bad at all. I did run to my car late at night and a homeless man flashed me. I had to curse him out and turn hood and he left. So I'd say still be aware you are in Florida no matter how cute the town lol. Personally it will just be something I'll never forget obv the hotel can't control that happening. (We live in Florida so idk why I went without my husband so late)

Sandy W.

Yelp
Cute hotel with good prices, location, bars, and check-in/out. Check-in was a breeze with a pre booked reservation, our room was clean and ready to go promptly. At check-out we needed some extra time and the front desk put us down for late check-out with no questions or fees. Such a great experience! The pool is relaxing and the bar is close. Bartenders are thoughtful and answer any questions you have; the specials are great too. We walked to downtown for dinner but popped into the cafe for dessert. The barista was super excited and kind. She even let us mix and match the 2 for 6 desserts despite that not being allowed. My partner and I both got what we wanted and she got a good tip. Highly suggest the Hollander if you want a thoughtful experience that is waking distance to all downtown St. Petersburg has to offer.

Border T.

Yelp
There's a reason why the Hollander is always sold out. The classical vintage ambiance can set the mood for the perfect first date. The staff is amazing! The food is amazing? And it's usually packed on game day. I'm from California and this is my go to!!!

Zach C.

Yelp
Fantastic hotel experience. Boutique style hotel that shows its age and has been meticulously maintained. We have had breakfast here twice, coffee everyday and the hotel team greet us every time they see us. The house keeping team are also very friendly and have done a great job taking care of our room. The hotel is very clean and ran well. I highly recommend staying here when visiting at Petersburg. It is not a new hotel and part of the experience is the boutique style and the older building. Our water in the room was hot and the ac was COLD!

Alex F.

Yelp
Simply phenomenal. Did the completely unusual and walked in and ask if they had rooms, didn't call, didn't look online, got off my horse and walked in. I was greeted by a very friendly gentlemen who welcomed me and did in fact have rooms available. Excellent place, will be back!

Melanie M.

Yelp
Shout out to HH20 poolside bartender Alexander! The best dirty martini ever! Fabulous customer service. Will definitely be back!

Kevin M.

Yelp
I had a GREAT experience at the Hollander Hotel! I stayed from a Sunday through Wednesday and have absolutely nothing bad to say. The experience started with a friendly and helpful greeting from the front desk staff. I really appreciate good customer service, and these folks have it wired! When I arrived on Sunday afternoon, there was a pool party. I arrived a little too late to partake, but it looked like it was packed with some great music playing. I did spend a little time in the restaurant/bar. It was very nice with some great food and drink choices. Service was excellent. I ended up spending some time there every day. The room was perfect. It was clean and comfortable. It wasn't too big or too small, just right with a nice, authentic feel. You can always stay in one of the chain hotels in St. Pete, but my stay at the Hollander was not just a stay, it was an experience. You don't get the authentic 1930s/1940s experience in the chain hotels. And, you really can't beat the service. I will definitely stay again!

Ellen R.

Yelp
I booked a surprise stay for my husband for post bday & fathers day. I've stayed there before and this place is just WONDERFUL!! We live locally in the area but it's a fun place to stay at. It's so chill & laid back, they surprised us with a bottle of champagne in the room, we had great brunch Sat & Sun, their restaurant & bar are super too. We got a cabana during Sat & it was so relaxing. great place to stay. Kevin on the phone x2, & Will at check in were so pleasant! The staff was great as well! Can't wait to have a staycation again!!

Beth E.

Yelp
We loved the location of this hotel because we were attending First Night in the City. The outside has a beautiful porch with plenty of seating, and the lobby is very inviting with a sitting area and many vintage items to check out. The bar area is right in the lobby and there is a restaurant as well. Check in was very easy and the staff was very pleasant. Bottled water is provided at anytime, just for the asking. There is a small elevator, which moves slowly, or you can take the steps which were an easy climb to our room on the second floor. As we waited for the elevator,I saw numerous people with dogs wandering around the lobby. I am a BIG dog lover, but not a fan of them in hotels. Our room was fairly sparse, and definitely small. We had a king bed and there was a small table and chairs, a dresser and TV and a refrigerator. The bathroom was so small that only one person could fit, and the commode so low to the ground I thought I would have to ask for help to get up. There is no counter space and I definitely felt claustrophobic. When we were going up for the night, I asked if there were certain rooms that people with dogs used. The answer was any room with hard wood floors was dog friendly. That means our room could have had a dog in it at some time. Again, not a fan of dogs in my hotel room. Two things happened once we fell asleep. First, dogs barking.....one of the many reasons I don't believe in having dogs in hotels. Second, our bed sounded like it broke as it made a large noise and woke us both up. Don't know what it was, but scared both of us. Although the location is good for downtown events, I am not a fan of the hotel for the above reasons .

Kathy D.

Yelp
We loved our stay here! The room is cozy and quaint, it's an old hotel so you can compare it to the new ones. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows were great! Had a small bathroom but we are on vacation so we don't spend a lot of time in our bathroom. Was very clean. The restaurant has a great chef and the meals are delicious! Have a pastry area with great desserts too! The location is perfect; great for walking and they also have a shuttle. The beach isn't very far of a drive, or Tampa. The pool is lovely and has an outside bar. We will definitely come back!

Bart G.

Yelp
We stayed here for about four days. This historic hotel has been in operation since 1933. It is conveniently located within walking distance to great restaurants, the waterfront, parks , and the pier. Staff contact from the initial booking via phone were all very professional and nice! The hotel is dog friendly (we brought our pup with us). Well behaved dogs are allowed on the front dining terrace area and there are many nearby areas to walk your dog. The restaurant, bar, & coffee shop were all excellent. We enjoyed breakfast every morning on the terrace (it overlooks the street at the front of the hotel). Great menu options, accommodating staff, and good coffee. There are always drink and meal specials at the Taproom. The front desk staff were outstanding always offering bottles of water and tourist advice. The rooms were clean and had beautiful original wood floors. The hallways and rooms were tastefully decorated with historic area photographs. Definitely look up the Hollander Hotel if your in St. Pete!

H C.

Yelp
This hotel is a great value and has a good location. Free parking is also a plus. The only negative is it smells like a humid old house, which is understandable since it's so old. But it is a REALLY strong smell. Other than that, it's a cool place.

Jisoo B.

Yelp
Love the hotel pool and the bar here! We are staying in Avalon but this is it's sister hotel, a cooker hipster sister it is! The pool was welcoming and the service was excellent--our server was always available when we needed something and it was a busy bar/pool! The pool was hopping with some singles mingling but as a coupe it was entertaining to peoplw watch. The food was so much better than I expected. Got hummus platter, buffalo cauliflower and Ruben and they all measured up..the hummus platter was huge. Overall, loved this pool and bar. We definitely wanna be back just to gamg out next time we are in DTSP.

Big S.

Yelp
THe Hollander Hotel. The hotel is nice but there are a few things you should know before you stay. First the rooms are small and the bathrooms are super small. The whole hotel smells like chemicals. Not sure what they clean with but it smells horrible. The pool area is nice but i didn't like the fact that before you go into the pool area they literally search through all your bags and if you even so much have a sip of water or a bag of nuts they will make you throw them away. You can't bring any sort of food or drink in you must buy from the bar area. I 100% get no alcohol, but water??? I found that a little ridiculous since we spent tons of money at the bar on food and drinks only to be scolded for having water in my bag! Also the pool bar doesn't open until 11:30 - 12:00 so if your at the pool area before than and want a drink you need to go inside. On Sunday's they have an open pool. This means the public can come in and use the pool area. Let me tell you it was crazy, kids everywhere! I can't bring in a bottle of water but the creepy guy in the pool next to us told us how he was on Meth and Mushrooms!! There was another girl so high her boyfriend had to hold her up so she didn't drown in the pool. I'm sorry as a paying guest i should NOT have to deal with that. No water but crack heads welcome. I will say the breakfast was good and the pool bartender Devyn was super nice. The rest of the staff needs some training on how to be friendlier!!!

Yelp
Truly one of the most memorable hotel stays in my life. I am a business travel warrior who has stayed in countless hotels and resorts. I can honestly say that the service is outstanding. I would rate the hotel staff more friendly, helpful and accommodating than the Ritz-Carlton Kapalua Maui Resort. While the Ritz at Kapalua is awesome and worth every penny of the $1K per night cost = the Hollander Hotel is a better value in every way. Old school hospitality is so wonderful to experience in St. Petersburg, FL at the Hollander Hotel. The place is old but so beautiful and very clean. The food is fantastic and a great value. The pool and bar is fun and lively. The hotel staff are what sets this hotel apart from all others. They are so nice that it rubs off on all the guests. I will always make a point to stay at the Hollander Hotel when I'm in St. Pete. Thank you to all the staff at the HH.
