Google
We really loved the appetizer tasting menu. Vegan food isn't everywhere, so when you can find it, cherish it! Server was helpful enough to hold off on us ordering a main course until we tried the whole sample platter, and he was correct that it more than filled the two of us up. The art gallery angle is nice. It was a very hot day, and being seated inside was challenging from a temperature and humidity perspective. But I'd definitely eat here again!!

A very cozy place. Staff was very helpful and polite. Food was delicious, and that’s coming from someone who definitely likes to eat meat.

Google
one of the best vegan/vegetarian restaurants in vienna! although I was a bit sceptical of the location at first- as the restaurant’s not situated in a central area- it turned out to be such a nice and lovely spot to have lunch! I booked a table one day before, and it worked perfectly. The staff is super friendly and attentive, food comes fast and is super delicious on top! The portions were big, even some of the appetizers (like the udan noodles we had) could have gone as a main dish. Highly recommending the Thai Curry and the saisonal dishes they have. Even my grandparents, who don’t live vegan, were excited and definitely want to come again. Perfect for lager groups and people who want to see, what veganism could look like!

Google
This restaurant is probably the best vegetarian restaurant I’ve ever been to. The different dishes taste awesome (as a family we tried different dishes and were impressed). Combined with a great service, I would recommend this restaurant to everyone! We‘ll come back for sure!

Google
Great Food and Ambience. The portion sizes are big and pricing also reflects the same. The food was delicious. Fresh Ingredients and great flavours. The services was polite and courteous. We had the burgder and polenta bruschetta. Must try. :)

Google
+ good food (veggie hamburger and oriental chickpeas bowl), burger was good, bowl was delicious + the waitress was kind - too much mayo in burger and after first bite my hands were all dirty - really mean waiter, when we came, we waited before him 1 min. and there was no reaction from his side, so we went to free table to sit, after that he started to shout on us, that what are we doing and if we have reservation (beside of 1 pair, it was completely empty there), after that he let us sit on table in worst location... - tight space - a little bit expensive for that portion size of meal, since it is not a luxury restaurant I recommend this restaurant, but just if you have taste on veggie food and you have also reservation...

Yelp
The mixed platter was absolutely delicious but definitely good for two people - excellent service

Yelp
Delicious and creative food, great service. A welcome alternative to all the places serving fried and roasted meat, and offering one supposedly 'vegetarian' dish that's either just a cold salad or spinach dumpling. Worth a trip even if you're not staying in the neighborhood.

Yelp
I'm no veggie, but I no someone who is. I have been meaning to try this place for awhile and I am so gald I finally made the trek out to the 13th district with one of my vegetarian friends. The menu is ripe with austrian wines and fresh, seasonal vegetarian and vegan entrees. I chose the lentil soup and the red thai curry. My soup was delicious with an added hint of ginger. The curry was full of incredibly fresh produce and was seasoned to my liking. I can't handle spicey food and this was perfect for me. Since I decided to splurge on myself, I opted for dessert as well. The chocolate tarte with cinnamon ice cream was divine! My friend was equally satisfied with her red beet gnocchi in a krencreme sauce and also delighted in her chocolate mousse dessert. Great girls night out!! My only reason for giving 4 qne not 5 stars is the atmosphere. The food and service is way more elegant than the actually restaurant. It could use a bit of a modern renovation to keep up with it's progressive menu and higher prices. Plus, you can't even see the entrance cause the hedges are so overgrown!! Tip: I saw posters on the walls that promoted cooking workshops that they offer. Upcoming events featured "Maki" and "Christmas" recipes. Something to look out for if you want more vegan/veggie cooking experience.

Yelp
Located in an old traditional Wirtshaus with a small patio in the front, the location itself is worth to come. This is what Austrian Wirtshaeuser (restaurants or inns, there's no optimal translation that I know of) looked like, and there used to be one on every corner that had it's regulars. Anyway, this one continues Christian Wrenkhs tradition of organic and vegetarian kitchen, and I personally have no complaints! Service was very friendly and helpful, e.g. when I changed from outdoors to indoors because it became chilly ouside. Soup and main course were excellent, only the dessert was a little disappointing. Over all one of my new favorite places for lunch or dinner!

Yelp
I found this restaurant through a recommendation on a map at the hostel we were staying at (Wombats). It's a vegetarian restaurant, but that does not limit the variety of the menu at all! I had risotto which was rich and creamy, and I also had the mango juice which tasted like a Mango Lassi. There are lots of tofu and seitan options, as well as pastas and polenta. The atmosphere is nice - the restaurant is small and intimate. It isn't in a touristy area, but it is very close to Schonbrunn palace. It is reasonably priced as well. The only downside was that the menu was entirely in German, but our waitress was more than happy to help us translate. I had a perfect afternoon - I ate here for lunch and then went on a palace tour!

Yelp
I planned to take a couple of vegetarian friends and my girlfriend out for dinner and I decided we would try this place, given the favorable reviews. The place is very nice. There is a small patio that is probably lovely in the summer, but we had to go inside since it was already too cold. The interior is very quiet and feels very intimate (after a couple of minutes, I had to come to terms with the fact that I was by far the loudest person in the establishment). The menu is very short. 6 entrees, 3 of which were pumpkin-based, which I am not fond of (yes, the "pumpkin-flavored everything" october phenomenon is present in europe as well, though luckily to a much lesser extent). I guess you can also take it as a sign that the menu is somewhat seasonal and that you might find different dishes being offered next month. None of the dishes were particularly interesting. There was a thai curry which looked ok, but I let my girlfriend have it. I went for damage-control by ordering the spinach gnocchi, though it's pretty sad for an italian to order gnocchi in vienna in a vegetarian restaurant, especially since a lot of first dishes of italian cuisine are vegetarian anyway. I was very disappointed with both dishes. The thai curry was ridiculously bland and certainly not in a "delicate" way. In fact, it didn't even taste good. My gnocchi were actually quite tasty, but did not have enough butter and parmesan. While the presentation was good, the portions were a little bit small, especially for the price. I don't clearly remember what our friends ordered, but I sampled it and it was not any better than what I was eating. On the other hand, the bread was homemade and quite good. I gave it two stars just because the place has a very nice atmosphere and because they did not screw up anything in a big way. However, it's definitely overrated and overpriced. I am not familiar with other vegetarian restaurants in vienna because I don't live here, but you might want to look elsewhere.

Yelp
After the big disappointment at Tian I was really excited to try a new vegetarian Restaurant. Hollerei did not disappoint. Creative dishes and delightful flavors. I had red beet gnocchi and a vegan dark chocolate mousse Another big plus: it is completely non-smoking and the staff is very friendly and helpful Unfortunately it is quite noisy when it's full. It also is a bit out of the way and you will need a reservation The prices are a bit on the higher side for the main dishes. The dessert and wine prices were fair. I hope they will update the interior eventually. It could use a modern touch.

Yelp
This turned out to be one of the best restaurants I've been to in my life, vegetarian or not. I got the variation appetizer platter and the lentil entree. Appetizer platter came with a quiche, quinoa on pear, samosa with dip and celery wrap. Everything was seasonal, fresh and had massive flavors. The lentil entree was recommended by the waitress and i loved the use of peppercorn. The potato croquettes were delicately coated in thin layers of sugar and were lovely too. Dessert of chocolate mousse was forgettable and not worth the price tag. Service was delightful and fast, which is quite rare in Wien as I've discovered. Bread isn't free.

Yelp
We liked this spot so much that we ate here twice during our trip. It was close to our apartment, on a residential street, with a beautiful little courtyard, and excellent food. Vegetarian or not, it's just good. If you are visiting Schonbrun, take the time to cross the street away from the tourist area and visit this spot. The portions here are large (especially salads) so we over-ordered the first time. Over our two visits we ate samosas with marinated cabbage and a tasty sweet and sour chili relish; a gorgeous salad with avocado, tomatoes, feta, and black olives; a tasty quiona burger with potato wedges; gnocchi with pomodoro sauce; the famous polenta salad; the contadino salad with lots of potato wedges and oyster mushrooms; a delicious and spicy watermelon gazpacho with oregano. Everything was good, even the vegetarian burger which we normally don't have much tolerance for. The salads were all very filling, particularly those with polenta or potatoes. The Austrian wines were good. Service was helpful in the usual Austrian way. This is a nice place to sit on the patio with grapevines growing on the trellis over your head and enjoy some healthy and flavorful food.

Yelp
Awesome burger. Awesome chocolate mousse with strawberries. Very nice green garden. Inside it feels like a Wirtshaus ( ...and it used to be one). Service is good...trying to be perfect...though almost every tme smth is messed up. On the upper price scale.

Yelp
This a very late review but better late than never. I am a vegetarian from Chicago. I was in town as a tourist July 2016. I found this place through yelp. I went and I loved it: the food, the service and the atmosphere. Whether your a resident or a tourist who likes good quality vegetarian and vegan food, this is a place you should try!

Yelp
I had a pretty awful experience here. I can't review the food fully because I never got to eat most of my meal. I have a very severe reaction to dairy, which makes eating while traveling very difficult, so I came here very excited about the vegan options. I ordered the vegan daily special which is a prix-fix meal, so didn't have to think much. The soup came which was delicious. Then the salad. Also very good. Finally the main course came which was a risotto which was said on the menu to have been made with some sort of mushroom in place of cheese. However, the dish was topped with what looked like very real mozzarella cheese. My boyfriend and his friend thought it also looked very real, so they asked in German and the waitress who was serving us, taller thinner of the two waitresses, replied harshly in German "of course! Everyone know mozzarella. It's an international cheese". My bf told her I had a severe lactose issue and she argued something in German and he explained that the menu said it was vegan... She just looked at him so annoyed and grabbed the plate and walked away. She came back about 1 minute later with what may or may not have been the same plate, cheese visibly not there but covered with giant basil leaves. I smiled and said thank you and without looking she loudly dropped the plate on my table and walked away. Not having had the chance to confirm that the entire dish itself was in fact not made with real cheese as risotto normally is, and also unable to confirm that this was in face a brand new plate, I chose not to eat it and left it untouched. She never said a word and charged us for everything. We didn't want to argue, but I found her to be the rudest. May or may not have to do with me being black..... I will not ever be going back. I know that service is not in Europe what it is in the States, but human kindness should always at least be the standard.

Yelp
Very good vegetarian restaurant. Own garden, friendly service.

Yelp
Good tasting food here. The outside almost looked closed when we came but the inside was lovely and welcoming. I think the food was a little over priced when comparing to other similar restaurants on our trip to Vienna and the increase in price was not matched by an increase in quality or taste. Ignoring the price the food tasted good. An English menu would have been nice, but I understand why some restaurants may not want to offer this to stay authentic.

Yelp
As a meat eater I Dont say this often, one of the best vegan food ive ever had. The thai curry and gnocchi was to amazing. Waitress that served us was polite, attentive and even helped us order! I wish this place was in ny I'd be here often.
