Highlights

Hollywood Beach is known for its Atlantic Ocean-facing beaches and "Old Florida" feel. Locals and visitors skate, cycle, stroll, and ride foot pedal buggies along Hollywood Beach Broadwalk, a palm-lined brick promenade with tiki bars, seafood eateries, motels, and hotels, including the splashy Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort. The bandshell hosts free concerts while kids play at the waterside Charnow Park.

"The neighborhood’s namesake beach — located about 40 minutes from Miami — spans 2.5 miles along the Atlantic. Its most notable feature is the palm-lined Hollywood Beach Broadwalk, which is dotted with hotels, restaurants, and bars. What’s more, this beloved beach is perfect for families craving a fun-filled day in the sun." - Travel + Leisure Editors

"Though South Florida is not lacking in the beach department, we don’t have much in the way of traditional East Coast boardwalks where you can stroll next to the sand, stopping into bars, restaurants, and mini-golf courses. The closest thing we have is Hollywood Beach, a quirky place full of the people you read about in Florida Man stories riding beach cruisers up and down the main drag. You’ll have plenty of seaside bars, but the best food on the boardwalk is at the Taco Spot, a Mexican joint that appears to be a tourist trap but might have the best burritos in Broward County. If you want to go a little more upscale, the Margaritaville Resort has a fantastic steakhouse at JWB Prime Steak and Seafood. Or head to the other side of the island to Le Tub, the waterfront home to old bathroom fixtures and one of the best hamburgers in America." - MATADOR_NETWORK

Yelp
Been coming here for decades and the million dollar ocean view never seems to change, although the amount of tourists have grown exponentially. There are many restaurants and bars up and down the boardwalk with a newer Margaritaville Hotel that brings in most of the tourists. Parking is available in two main garages for a fee. The bandshell on the beach has live music playing at 7pm weekly. Just purely a fun place to unwind and have fun.

Yelp
BEACH OCEAN EATS FUN An international east coast location with miles of sandy beach, multi-cultural eateries, live entertainment and many exciting hotels cushioned against the cement broadwalk. Ive been coming to this Hollywood Broadwalk since the mid-seventies with friends and family. Back then it was a ghost town compared to the hustling colorful beast it grew to become today. We park in the public pay garage on Johnson St (sold out alot but can find other open pay lots nearby) and love to ride our bikes from the center of the broadwalk a couple miles north to Quarterdeck and have a beer on their wooden deck overlooking the ocean. The Hollywood Bandshell provides free live music Wednesday thru Sunday 7p - 9p. Each venue has different type of music genre - hip hop, rock n' roll, reggae and new wave. The bandshell is managed by the Margaritaville Hotel which is nestled behind the bandshell. This mega beachy Jimmy Buffett song inspired hotel was errected in 2015 and boasts numerous restaurants and 369 rooms and suites. Over the years, I've stayed several valentines days here and loved it. My favorite part of the broadwalk is sitting in the outside patio of the mom and pop owned restaurants while people watching and feeling the cool salty sea breezes in the winter months and bicycle riding in the summer. Some of my favorite broadwalk restaurants are Rocco's Pizza, Nick's Bar and Oasis by the Sea Greek. Also, about a half mile south of the bandshell on the broadwalk is the long standing Hollywood Brewery open until midnight. If you dare to walk a few streets inland between A1A and the broadwalk, you can find some of the older hotels offering live local musicians playing under tiki huts in the courtyards and they offer liquor and beer to the public. This beach is extremely busy during the weekends, but I recommend coming during the weekdays for easy access to food, easier parking and a calmer less bustling walk along the broadwalk.

Yelp
From Dania to Hallandale with a few plots of sea trees in between, Hollywood Beach is a place of all ages. Food places of all types, Spanish, Italian, pub food, Russian, Turkish, Peruvian and more all along the mile And a half of beachfront. Bikes for rent and a bike space available. Rollerblading is also popular. Lots of hotels beachside. Incredible place.

Deborah L.

Yelp
This is really a special chill spot. Lots of choices to eat and bars of all sorts plus live music. Showers every block plus trash bins and public toilets. Shops and bike rentals too. Lifeguards all around plus it's clean and you feel safe. It's really a beautiful beach and the water is so pretty. Great for couples, families or solo visit.

Francesca K.

Yelp
The atmosphere here It is a just ok place to walk around in the morning and evening after that you are basically on your own. I don't recommend walking around after 7pm especially if you have kids with you. The restaurants around this are are fair, some have good food and other not that food. Lots of waitresses waiting outside to handle you the menu card. Just walk around and take a peak only if you don't have anything else to do.

Rob W.

Yelp
This wonderful stretch is my favorite part of Hollywood Florida. It is just a great place to walk along and enjoy the beautiful beach area. There are lots of places to stop and grab a drink or a bite to eat while walking. If you are in the area this is a highlight.

Chantal B.

Yelp
The water was clear and felt like the Caribbean. It was a perfect 90 degrees weather day and the water was super warm. There were plenty of restaurants to choose from. Lifeguard ready. Pretty beach and clean.

Adam J.

Yelp
Hollywood Broadwalk is beautiful! There are lots of cute shops and plenty of places to catch a delicious bite to eat. We experienced excellent service at an Italian open-air bistro for lunch. There's a nice wide bike path and a few vendors renting bicycles, trikes and even 4-wheeled bikes. The area was bustling with locals as well as travelers. Beaches & the walkway were well maintained, police patrolled and clean. Would definitely visit again!

Sy L.

Yelp
Hollywood Beach Boardwalk is clean and full of restaurants/bars to stop at and enjoy. I noticed signs saying no dogs on boardwalk. I wanted to try and walk the entire boardwalk BUT I ended up stopping for some drinks and then gave up on that goal!

Mike R.

Yelp
The Hollywood Beach Broadwalk is impressive. You're probably thinking boardwalk, and that's totally ok. Yet this 3 Mile or so path, is wide enough to allow for pedestrians walking, rollerblading, biking, or for the Hollywood Police to drive their vehicles down it. That's awesome in a lot of ways. Close to the white sands, you can see the green water and palm trees. There are all kinds of stores, restaurants, and hotels on it. Food and souvenirs are expensive. That's to be expected, but was shocked by how high in areas. One part I liked was near the northern side. There everyday they had a singer. Thank you to the gentleman who honored my request of "That's Amore!" Tipped him w couple bucks, and enjoyed his rendition of Dean Martin's classic. Also liked the free Latin music concert at night. This is a happening spot.

Julio H.

Yelp
Definitely a vibe, would recommend for tourist. Can guarantee I'll go back. Florida has so much to offer

Martin Z.

Yelp
Good to go early mornings for an early walk, jog, run or bike ride. It has some shopping and dining. Restaurants are decent nothing really special. But the views and ambience are really nice. Food would be considered mediocre. Service is good.

Alison M.

Yelp
I loved walking the Broadwalk for 2 hours! While some of the attractions have closed along the way including a mall/shopping complex near the end, most of them are still open and it's a leisurely stroll for about 2 miles from one end to the other if you are coming back to where you started. The broad walk is more than wide enough to accommodate walkers, riders, etc. Everyone was polite and friendly and made way for bikers or paddle-riders as people made their way along. Enough shops remain for you to look for some souvenirs or some beachwear if you need it as well as hotels and restaurants. There is also a wave pool where several surfers were trying their hands at improving (or showing off) their skills. Got some pistachio soft serve at about the halfway point. Staff were on hand to answer questions and to keep the spaces neat and tidy by cleaning up trash and emptying the trash cans while I was on site. Parking is either at the North end lot, street, or one of the several lots along the way. This is an easygoing and quiet beach that I enjoyed as my favorite while in Ft. Lauderdale for several days.

Yelp
Hollywood Beach Boardwalk is one of my favorite places in Florida. I stay in the same place every time I visit. My spot is right off the boardwalk. I get to watch the sunrise, grab my Cuban coffee, tacos, ice cream, and any items I need from the surf shops. People are very active here. Unfortunately there are no dogs or skateboards allowed on the boardwalk. This sets it apart from the Venice, CA Boardwalk. Maybe when all the old people expire, the rules will ease up. I feel it's unfair to still be so judgmental against these activities in life! Other than those two ridiculous rules, the boardwalk is the place to be!

Kandi F.

Yelp
Awesome beach.. Waaayyyy better than the saturated South Beach. There's a marriott out here. Book this hotel tell and enjoy the sidewalk beach stroll

Ariel W.

Yelp
When I think of a beach boardwalk I think of the Jersey shore with carnival rides, games, shops, and food. it turns out Hollywood founder Joseph Young had the same idea in mind when he created his city in 1925. Inspired by the City Beautiful Movement and Atlantic City's boardwalk, Young built a 30 foot wide cement promenade, a broadwalk, along 1.5 miles of Hollywood shoreline. It is not a boardwalk because it was not built from boards. It is broadwalk built from coral rock dredged from the Intracoastal Waterway and later paved over with asphalt. Young's broadwalk was home to the Hollywood Beach Casino which was built at a cost of $250,000. The casino had 824 dressing rooms, eighty shower baths, a shopping arcade, and an Olympic-sized salt water swimming pool with a three story diving tower. Young built both the Broadwalk and the Casino to draw tourists to the ocean. Eventually the pool was demolished and the half block lot where the casino sat was left empty for decades. During WWII the Hollywood Beach Hotel on the broadwalk was taken over by the Navy and commissioned as the US Naval Indoctrination and Training School. One thousand officer trainees graduated in the first class. Two months later it became a navigation school with subsequent classes of 1,500 and more. During this time beach access was restricted by the military who were looking for German U boats off the coast of Florida. Today the broadwalk stretches nearly two and a half miles along the Atlantic Ocean and has been named one of America's Best Beach Boardwalks by Travel + Leisure magazine. Parking for the broadwalk is available at garages and metered spaces on side streets. Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville Resort occupies the space left by the old Hollywood Beach Casino. The new resort is set back from the broadwalk but still has access to it and it has a large hotel, restaurants, and several pools. The smooth surface and safety from vehicle traffic makes the boardwalk a popular destination for walkers, joggers, bicyclists, rollerbladers. They have really fun quad surrey bikes you can rent to pedal around on. Lining the broadwalk is the beach on the east side and restaurants, hotels, tiki bars, parks, and shops on the west side. I always love coming down here for exercise and people watching. There is always something interesting going on like a demonstration of a new sport called footbolley that looks like volleyball but is played using your feet. A lot of south Florida cities have beaches but no one has a broadwalk like Hollywood. I think Joseph Young would be pleased to know that his broadwalk is still drawing people to the Hollywood beach today.

Yelp
Imagine being persuaded to visit a little beach town in Florida that you've never heard of. You hop a flight and arrive at FLL, order your ride and wait with anticipation. As you get closer to your destination, you can smell the saltwater and feel the ocean breeze. You approach a bridge and lights begin to flash, then it begins to raise - A drawbridge! You pass over the Intercoastal and begin the final stretch of the drive to your destination: Hollywood Beach, Florida. You pass a number of quaint low-rise hotels with a vintage, yet modern, feel. There are a few newly constructed hotels that rise above the rest, but nothing that looks tacky or out of place. There are a number of shops and beautiful restaurants lining the Intercoastal that catch your eye. You arrive at your desired destination and check in, eager to get your bags in the room and your feet in the sand! As you leave your hotel, you head toward to beach and stumble upon one of the most magnificent sights you've seen - The Hollywood Broadwalk! Maybe you've been to other oceanside boardwalks before (or, maybe you this is your first - Lucky!)... But, the chances that you've experienced anything quite like this before - are slim to none. Let's take note of all The Broadwalk offers: 1. International cuisine. You can find a restaurant that offers food from just about every corner of the globe and you really have to look hard to find the bad ones. The majority are locally owned and operated and strive to delight every customer. 2. Shopping. There are beach toys and swimwear shops; sunglass stores and convenience stores; trendy shops and souvenir/gift shops. There are bike rentals, chair and cabana rentals, hookah lounges, massage on the beach and so many more. There's even a few liquor stores so you can pick a favorite! 3. Entertainment. There's a good chance you'll find live music at the Hollywood Stage or the patio of over a handful of bars and restaurants. Volleyball nets are located every few blocks and palm trees are always free for hammock hanging. The Water Taxi boards just across the street and offers transportation to Miami or Ft Lauderdale. You've got plenty of options. There's even a surf water ride located directly on The Broadwalk. 4. The beach. You won't find many beaches in Florida that are as long, wide and filled with all day sun, like Hollywood Beach! There's always a breeze and the water stays pretty warm throughout the year and the sand is a beautiful off white. Some days the water is smooth as glass and crystal clear; others bring seaweed, Portuguese Man of War washing up and huge crashing waves. The sunrises are world class. There's even nesting sea turtles for a few months! 5. The people watching. If you love it - This is a mecca. If you don't - Don't judge or disturb those of us that enjoy it! 6. The locals. I've met some of the happiest and friendliest people, on or along The Broadwalk. We've shared dinners, drinks and poolside hangovers and I'm always looking forward to meeting someone new. 7. The Broadwalk. Stretching almost 2.5 miles and lined with palm trees, guard shacks and everything you could possibly want to satisfy any of you or your family members senses. There are multiple lanes, so please make sure you don't walk in the bike lane. If you hear a beep, kindly step back into the lane for for pedestrian traffic. Now, this is where it gets rough... You've spent days walking this gem, taking in all the sights, sounds, smells and taste it has to offer and you've loved every moment. You've discovered that the vibe is truly ONE OF A KIND. Now, you're faced with the hardest thing to do in Hollywood Beach: Leaving! Take those wonderful Broadwalk memories back with you and when they start to fade, guess that means it's time to book a return trip?

Stacy W.

Yelp
It's very calm, even at night. We didn't walk the whole thing but it was enjoyable for afternoon and late night stroll.

Carlos T.

Yelp
Broadwalk not broadwalk as there is no wooden boardwalk to walk on. This has been a perfect summer spot to discover thanks to my Niece Stephanie. Truly a great *hidden* gem I've driven past a zillion times when either driving north and south. You would never know from A1A how great a place this is. A favorite go-to for afternoon and early evening shenanigans and vacation vibes!  Find your parking spot and a daycation awaits as you chill out on the beach during the day,  take a relaxing stroll on the broadwalk,  order food and drink nearby and bring back to the beach or just dine right there!  Oh and you can rent group bicycles or trikes to go up and down the broadwalk! Or take it a step further and take the whole weekend here at one of the beachfront rental places!  NOTE:  my favorite day to come is Sunday thanks to Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville hotel with the performance stage free to the public every Sunday live band 7pm until 9pm ish!  Free seating,  great times, or eat at nearby restaurants with a view of the stage.  Plus many other options nearby if you decide to leave this area.. If you do stay, there are plenty of places to eat dinner, and get ice cream later and hey even hang out at Nicks until 4am!  Wow a fun place this area is.

Sindu K.

Yelp
This is one of the best broad-walk I have been to, there is so much to do here. There is a huge parking garage close to the broad walk. There are also ample amount of bathrooms across the broad walk. You can walk, cycle, skate, play on the beach. There are many things across the broad-walk to do as well. Many places to eat too!! I truly love this beach and I come here often to relax and walk. This location is also close to Miami and other locations in the south Florida. Do come here for sunrise if you can. Highly recommend!

Kara B.

Yelp
[Short Review Alert] So remember that delicious dessert I got from [Hiccups & Churroholic] ? Well, yeah I decided on Sunday I would rollerblade it off lol... Anyways, Hollywood Beach - Boardwalk was a great way to enjoy that Sunday Weather. It was chilly that day ,but with the help of the sun - it made my rollerblading experience enjoyable. A lot of people were either running, walking, rollerblading, riding their bikes, or even renting out those bike carts. Besides the fun activities, Holly Beach Boardwalk offers plenty of restaurants to choose from! Plus Dessert places! [Oh!] and I can't forget mini shops too! It was nice to see other people enjoying their Sunday with their friends or families. Overall, I rollerbladed for a good 2 hours. I am thinking... maybe I did 16 miles (?). I do know I went back and forth 4 times LOL. Heck, I had a great time by myself ! Listening to my 80s, 90s, and just anything funky jams! Rollerblading and doing my own thing. [Oh!] people there were even polite enough to move when they saw me coming their way. :)

Cheryl W.

Yelp
I don't really consider myself a beach lover, but when I decide to go to the beach I like to venture out to the restaurants and shops on the boardwalk. While this is a beautiful beach, my visit here was somewhat of a disappointment. Most of the establishments were closed; hell it's May in Florida, why weren't most of these shops opened or even operational? Some areas of the boardwalk looked somewhat abandoned. There were a few restaurants and bars opened, but only a few! The beach was actually the best part. I wouldn't say that I would never come back, I just would not go out of my way to make the trip because for me, it wasn't worth the search for parking. Now to be totally fair, this is purely my experience & opinion, my 20 something year old son & his friend loved it here (but what do they know? ). They had a ball, yet I was so glad to leave and hit the nearby Casino.

Gretel Y.

Yelp
Hollywood Beach Boardwalk is one of the nicer boardwalks I've been to in a while. There's something for everyone; shopping, dining, and entertainment. It's family friendly, fairly clean, not too crowded (depending on when you go), and has plenty of street and garage parking. There's even a separate lane for bikers, skaters, etc. What really impressed me as a foodie is the variety of restaurants. I saw Peruvian, Greek, Italian, and many more. The beach is also nice and well maintained. Beach chair rentals are available if you don't bring your own. We enjoyed Hollywood Beach and its boardwalk so much, we came here three times during our trip to Fort Lauderdale!

Marianne W.

Yelp
Hollywood Beach Broadwalk the creation of Hollywood's developer, J.W. Young, never consisted of boards. It was built in 1924 from coral rock dredged from the Intracoastal Waterway, and long ago paved over with asphalt. It's 2.5 miles long. There's lots of restaurants and shops and three parks along the stretch of beach in Hollywood Florida. It's become a local tourist attraction over the many years since I originally started spending the day here. I still wouldn't hesitate to return. I've got lots of memories of fun times spent here. I'm recommending you visit!

Ashley S.

Yelp
This is just the best people watching. There is a dedicated bike lane, but people will run you over if you're a walker... so pay attention. They have bars, restaurants and shops up and down the whole boardwalk. The beach is a little dirty in my opinion. There is a fishing pier at the end of the boardwalk. Margaritaville has live music in this outdoor theater every night and anyone can sit and enjoy it. There is something for everyone here for sure!

Paulina A.

Yelp
Hollywood Beach boardwalk offers dining, shopping and entertainment. It's a nice walk to enjoy the beach, or you can enjoy roller blading and biking on the boardwalk as I saw some people were doing. It wasn't very crowded when I visited so that was also pleasant.

Maria B.

Yelp
If you like to enjoy the beach while you run, jog, walk or bike this is a very lovely boardwalk. There are a wide variety of local restaurants as well public parking and public bathrooms along the boardwalk. Just be aware of the crowds and avoid them by biking or walking an extra mile. Use of mask is mandatory. Sharing some of my favorite pictures of the Beautiful and relaxing sunset views. Tranquility and peace of mind are always very good reasons to go too!!! :)

Rick G.

Yelp
Had an excellent 5.25 Miles run today. The view and the day was amazing. This beach is one of my favorites to come and chill... it Js decently clean.

Marilu F.

Yelp
Everyone and their mother has already said it, but here it goes again: this is a broadwalk, not a boardwalk. That said, if you can believe it, despite being a South Florida native, I hadn't been to this location ever until this past weekend. What can I say? The beach isn't exactly my idea of fun, but you know what? This location can grow on me. We went near sunset and saw the sun set as we walked along the beach. There was a slight breeze and I didn't feel the typical hellish heat we have around these parts. I guess this is the time to go? Parking is relatively easy to find and there's a lot to do. You could take a stroll like we did, or actually go earlier and plan a beach outing (something I'm sure will eventually occur). You could roller blade or bike or go to many restaurants and bars. You certainly have options. Probably the best thing, however, is the lack of insanity. I'm mainly used to Miami Beach, so this was a godsend in comparison.

Lin H.

Yelp
So happy the beaches have open up in Hollywood. The water was crystal clear and warm. Trying to find a place on the sand was difficult because there were so many people. I think what happened was everyone from Miami , Dania Beach, and Fort Lauderdale must have came over to sun bathe and swim. Parking took me about a good half hour but finally we found a spot on Harrison street not really all that close to the action or stores. I forgot my sunscreen and the sun was intense. Make sure to take your sun screen to make the dermatologist happy and not to fry like a chicken. No one on the beach was wearing a face mask. Also on the Broadwalk you can ride your bike , jog and grab a bite to eat many delectable selections.

Brandi N.

Yelp
Great food and very fresh! The service was excellent and the view of Hollywood Beach is amazing!

Rhonda F.

Yelp
I visited a friend who had rented a house right off the boardwalk. It was very convenient for us or anyone staying in the area. But if you are driving, expect a limited parking situation. We walked over in the morning for coffee and breakfast. I like the mornings best. It was less crowded and more relaxed. The boardwalk is directly connected to the huge, flat, clean beach. There are tons of restaurants and bars. While everything seems to be quite casual, we were able to find some great food, drinks and helpful service. My thought on evenings on the boardwalk is this: Be Careful. There is a seedy undertone as it gets later with a large homeless population that hang out in an empty abandoned area directly on the boardwalk. While I enjoyed my visit, I was not in love with the Hollywood Beach Boardwalk and will find another place to visit next time.

Dej C.

Yelp
So much great food options to choice between. The beach is beautiful and clean !!! No dogs are allowed in the boardwalk or on the beach. Which is a good and a sad thing. Been here plenty of time and it's always something new ! They also have Charnow park that has a wonderful light exhibit.

Brian L.

Yelp
The walk of happiness. The ocean on your left. Beautiful restaurants and people on your right. Being a New Yorker where you are always watching your surroundings, you can exhale here. I always felt safe if it was 2pm or 2am

Michelle F.

Yelp
The broadwalk at Hollywood Beach has come a long way. I have been coming here for many years and right now it is the best it has ever been. I really like the Improvement of the pavers that was done several years ago. It really makes the area more attractive. Margaritaville certainly boosted the popularity of this area. When I am here, I do actually feel like I am on a mini vacay even though this spot is not too far from where I live. The restaurant selection is okay. I've tried several and there is only one that I eat at over and over....the unique and lovable Le Tub. There are a lot of concerts sponsored by Margaritaville. Depending on the time of year, this could be nightly or just 5 nights per week. It will be nice when Nick's Restaurant and Bar comes back. They are remodeling now. That is usually the liveliest place on the beach when they are open.

Maria K.

Yelp
Such a beautiful, family friend beach and boardwalk! Surprisingly no seaweed on the beach. Sand isn't as soft as South Beach but still really nice and peaceful (and not as busy as South Beach). The Boardwalk is ~2 miles with a little concert area and lots of eating places. You can also rent tandem bikes and scooters from a company along the way. The Boardwalk is right next to the beach and you can see the water from most of it. Great place!

Ericka G.

Yelp
I love walking this boardwalk in this beautiful city! There are shops, boutiques, famous restaurants and bars, ice cream shops and so much more along the strip. We had stayed here and walked the boardwalk every evening and took early morning walks. We saw all types of people and families enjoying the evening and mornings here. There's even an open park with splash pads for kids here, free of charge. You can rent different types of bikes from one to 4 people, and even these things that look like your kinda laying down(don't know the proper name) and peddle your heart out. We see people here even rollerblade while jamming out on their head phones. Of course there's always the beach available for a dip and o Friday nights they have a stage with a band that usually plays and it's all family friendly. This boardwalk is perfect for so many activities and all are welcome!

Wen S.

Yelp
I enjoy coming here. Big difference compared to how it was a few years ago. They really made it look so much nicer with all the bars and restaurants. Definitely a place to visit if in the Hollywood area.

Julie K.

Yelp
I love coming to this beach to run in the morning or catch the sunrise! It's so calm and relaxing when it's just you and the beach! Even as the day progresses it never gets crazy crowded. There's a designated bike path so people who are running won't get run over, and the running/walking path is wide enough to be shared with rollerbladers. There's a couple of restaurants along the boardwalk, and then there's Margaritaville. I haven't been, but looks like a great rest stop for food or drinks. There's also a public bathroom along the path close to Margaritaville, but you may run into some homeless people who are seeking shelter.

Nerina B.

Yelp
Great beach. Love the boardwalk. Lot of places to eat, shop, and drink while right on the boardwalk next to beach and beautiful ocean.

Mia R.

Yelp
The boardwalk on Hollywood Beach. I've come to appreciate this beach so much over the years. Growing up, I would frequent Hallandale or Hollywood just because it was a 30min drive down either Sheridan or Miramar to get to these beaches. Lately I've been going more to Ft. Lauderdale beach but Cali coffee has re-sparked my love for Hollywood Beach. With the pandemic, it is very rare for me and my parents to go out but our new family tradition whenever I'm off is to go to the Hollywood Boardwalk for a stroll or bike ride then hang at the beach afterward. This beach is not crowded at all... other than the boardwalk. Seems like everyone is in the mood for some fresh air and exercise and its nice to be surrounded by people (at a safe distance.) You'll see people walking, running, biking, skating, etc. The boardwalk stretches a decent length but I recommend a run/skate most here. Something about strolling right by the ocean is so therapeutic and we all we need as much relaxation and exercise as possible right now. Its a HUGE plus that parking is so easy here. I recommend not parking in a lot because those usually only allow all-day parking and if you only plan to spend an hour or two here then the street parking is cheaper. A good amount of spots are even right by the boardwalk. I recommend downloading the Parking app just so you know how much time you have left or if you want to add any time.

Chiquita R.

Yelp
We go to the beach almost every other day. Visited this restaurant ordered at the pick up window being that we were sitting on the beach. While sitting at a EMPTY table waiting on our order I was told we could NOT there!! Only dine in customers! Please note we spent almost $80 here! Never again!! No one was sitting at any of the tables

Nina H.

Yelp
Coming from the West side of Florida, I haven't found a beach on the East side to really appreciate the ocean. I've been to Miami beach and Lake Worth and the water always seems choppy. Add that to the buzzy Miami traffic and it's just never been my favorite. At any rate, this place is a breath of fresh air. Literally. I loved it! It was filled with people looking to have a good time. Everyone seemed excited about all the restaurants, bars, and shops. The boardwalk had something for everyone. I loved how all the stores lined the beach. The beach looks clean and like it had enough space for large crowds. Once you find parking, this place seems like a chill area that you could hang out all day and enjoy some sun and fun.

Evgeny B.

Yelp
Love this place. Mostly perfect on Friday evenings. Parking on margateville cost 4$ an hour

Beth M.

Yelp
Fun! Entertaining! Nicks had absolutely delicious food til 4am! Free live music . Diane oceanfront suites was beautiful

Jennifer G.

Yelp
We've been here several times now. We enjoy the fact that we can walk to many local Restaurants and bars. We can rent a place close to the beach and walk there daily. The beach is packed with trash cans and there is plenty of room for everyone. The police patrol all day. Margaritaville is close and their restaurants and coffee shop are open to the public. However, Hollywood lacks a couple of important things. 1. There is no beach access for wheelchairs. I saw two areas with blue mats leading from the Broadwalk to about 10 feet in the sand. That's it. We witnessed many older folks with walkers and wheelchairs and one family with a person in a wheelchair. How much nicer would the Broadwalk be if EVERYONE could get to the water and enjoy the beach?! 2. It's dirty. People have no respect and drop trash everywhere. No one from the city comes by to clean up. We walked over beer bottles, cups, trash, takeout containers and more everyday on our walk to the beach. 3. Many of the streetlights are not working. The city needs to do better!

Yelp
This is one of my favorite beaches to come besides Hallandale. I love, love, love that it has a boardwalk - the beaches down south don't have boardwalks right next to the beach like this. You see more pics of these type of boardwalks up north like Jersey. The boardwalk has a section for bike riders only, it's kept clean, many trash cans available, and massive variety of restaurants from cheap to expensive. Also, there is a small "park" right in front of the main parking garage where you can rent the covered tables for Bday parties or whatnot with the beautiful view of the beach. On Wednesdays the Hollywood theater which now belongs to Margaritaville provides entertainment at night that gives off such a high lively energy you will not want to leave lol!

Yelp
It's a beautiful fantastic morning Hollywood Beach Sunrise, watching the sunrise with the clouds in the background. The temperature is a nice cool 64° at 6:20 in the morning or. People are walking up and down the boardwalk and jogging, and numerous people are taking photos of the sunrise. This is what makes living in Florida so wonderful.
