The Hills have Hollywood... Known for amazing views, great hiking trails, beautiful homes, and at the base great food, shops, venues, local treasures/hidden gems, and hotels.
The canyon roads (especially Laurel Canyon and Mulholland Drive) are your windy adventure, in, through, and out of the hills not to mention the 101 Hollywood Fwy.
Enjoy Runyan Canyon trails, Fryman Canyon Park, Vine Stairs, and/or Bronson Caves.
Bask at the Hollywood Reservoir, see a show at the Hollywood Bowl or The Ford, and stay at the BLVD Hotel.
Have some Italian-style cuisine at Pace. Sip a craft wine or brew at Beachwood Cafe or a caffeine cup at The Trails cafe.
The Hollywood Heritage Museum off Highland is history personified as are major historical landmarks such as the Cross and Sign themselves.
Whether a local, passing through, or on vaycay... The hills of Hollywood have a lot to offer.

I NEED EVERYONE'S HELP!
FRIDAY I got married! It was awesome and our day was going perfect. We took a bunch of photos just as anyone would and at the end of the day we took the drone out for a few more photos...
One way or another we lost signal and the drone went down close to the Hollywood sign. We immediately ran up the trail to get the drone, Julia, was right behind me, and even though I told her to stay, she said no way. Her reply was that she made a vow to stand by me and she would follow me anywhere. (What could I say!?).
So, white dress and high heels, we started up to the top. We searched with what little time we had left but unfortunately came up empty-handed and had to start back down the trail.
Now we are All covered in dirt and stains from the track, Julia has her shoes off because there is no way to make a hike in high heels. We actually enjoyed just being together and having fun in the moment - even though she was in pain from no shoes. lol - I was proud she was being a trooper, but mostly happy that I married a really down to earth woman.
When we got down to the bottom of the trail we realized that all of our photos from the wedding and the day were on that drone on a mini SD card. So we have come back and searched and searched and found nothing. I know somebody didn't get it because it's in an area with not much foot traffic and I have been right there since it went down.
I ask that people share this and do what they can to help. All I really want is the SD card back with the photos, if anyone is willing to help me find it please contact me and I will send you the last known coordinates that I have of its location they are not exact but with a few more people I know we could find it.
Thanks so much,

Yelp
If you are here on vacation there is so much to do. This is not that interesting to blow several hours on.
The Hollywood Hills has some nice views, from some spots you can see the Hollywood sign and from other areas you can see all of Downtown LA. If you really want to drive up winding roads in neighborhoods where you don't live to see the sign or downtown, then I guess go for it, but really, it is not worth the trip.
It is a neighborhood, people live there, do not stop your car to pick their fruit trees and have your photo taken. You will not be greeted with warmth, but as a trespasser.
There is very little room to park, the streets are very narrow and can get crowded.
If you really want to see the Hollywood sign, go do that (up through Franklin), there is a place to park and you can see the City, but stay out of the Hills, you don't live there.

Yelp
We decided to drive up into the Hollywood Hills to get a closer look at the sign. The drive up into the hills is on a super steep road, very narrow, tight hard-to-see-around turns and houses literally right on the edge of the street. We drove up as high as we could - Mulholland Dr was blocked off to tourist traffic and there was literally no way to park and walk or anything. It was even really tough to turn around! Going up the hill you got glimpses here and there of the sign, but not a big, whole sign visible type view. Actually, before we started driving up the steep hill, we saw all sorts of people running out to the middle of the street to get pictures of the sign. We stopped too and did the same thing, and we were glad we did as that was really the best view - up on the hill you really don't get that picture.

Yelp
Hollywood Hills is a beautiful neighborhood, in Los Angeles, CA. Known for it's multimillion dollar homes, narrow/winding roads, lost tourists, beautiful scenic overviews, of the city to the beach, and many celebrity inhabitants.
It's a great, safe, and clean neighborhood with all the perks of the surrounding Hollywood area, but less of the Central Hollywood chaos.

Yelp
The Hollywood hills are some of the most beautiful mountains in Southern California. But Seger and the Silver bullet band write songs about Hollywood night and driving through the canyons and that song always reminds me of this area. The views are spectacular and the people are really interesting. You will definitely find this to be a once-in-a-lifetime trip. If you have a chance to go to the Griffith Observatory and see the Hollywood sign you absolutely should as it is nestled in the Hollywood hills and is an absolute beautiful spectacle. It is a real treat for people to come here from out of town or from anywhere in the world. I really think the Hollywood hills allow you to appreciate the natural landscape of the surrounding area. I don't Think I will ever forget the first time I claimed the Hollywood sign and I don't think you well either it was amazing! Will definitely return!
