Holmen Husky Lodge

What an experience! Stayed two nights in the beautiful and almost brand new A-framed suites. The suites had everything you could want and more, with beautiful furnishings and modern styling. It was so peaceful even though the huskies were close, and the big windows really are a highlight. Breakfast was good and had everything we wanted, such as cold cuts, fresh bread and eggs. We had dinners on both nights and the food was excellent. Just remember to book these in advance. Our second night was a private dinner, just us and the huskies - what an experience! All in all a perfect place to stay. Location was brilliant, everything nicely taken care of and the staff was extremely friendly, helpful and loved to have a chat with us. Highly recommend this place and when we come back to Alta, this is the place to stay.

Went there for a husky trip, they arranged it on really short notice and were great! A tall gentleman with dreads was our guide, he was really patient, answered all our questions, shared his crazy life stories AND let us stop midway through our drive for photos. We also got a sneaky meet and great with the puppies which was the best! Amazing experience, will definitely come back next time I'm in Alta.

We were on a romantic little get away at Holmen Husky during low season. The cabin had the perfect location to go trail biking in the day, and was incredible to stay in. The gianormous window in the living room made you feel very conected to nature, and with the window located directly over the bed you truly fell asleep under the stars and northern lights. From the breakfast area you could watch the dogs hanging out, and unlike other husky farms we've visit they kept the dog area very nice and clean. The personell were warm and welcoming, and it was obvious they loved their work. Would recommend this place for friends and family❤️

A wonderful experience! We stayed in a new built cabin which was pure luxury. Then set off for a 3 day sledge tour into the wilderness and stayed overnight in a mountain cabin. The food was excellent. The guides were very professional and caring. We got to help setting up the harnesses on the dogs, and driving the dogsled. A helping hand from the guides and it went smooth. The ones who wanted to, helped feeding the dogs. The dogs were very reliable and friendly. We enjoyed the sauna and the outside hottub. As a bonus we were lucky to see the northern light in two evenings. I highly recommend Holmen Husky as a genuine adventure!

We spent one night only but it was enchanting. The cottage is beautiful, clean, elegant, modern. The host was very friendly and kind, the wood and the huskies complete the great atmosphere

We recently stayed at Holmen Husky Lodge and loved it. The food was great. The rooms were incredible. Wonderful staff. We booked a dog sled tour, which was amazing, and the sweetest dogs ever. They provide all the gear you need to be warm and comfortable and followed it up with coffee and hot chocolate and a snack in front of a roaring fire. They booked a northern lights tour for us as well, boy did we ever see the lights. Definitely worth the stay.

We highly recommend Holmen Husky Lodge. We stayed in one of the beautiful new cabins. Although we didn’t get a chance to see the Northern Lights, the large windows and heated floors were terrific. The chef prepares delicious, filling meals. We had halibut one night and reindeer on another. It was terrific being surrounded by all the sled dogs. They get so excited when someone leaves or returns from a sled ride. Magical!

Everything from cabins to service and experience is just amazing! The dogsled tours are first off all amazing experience, along with professional, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Imagine sledding away while seeing northern lights! The cabins are luxurious, spacious and modern, and gives a perfect cozy feeling. Even just walking around in the kennel to pet the dogs is joy, as all dogs are very socialized, friendly and safe
