A stunning Greek Orthodox church right in the heart of Chania's old town. The interior is beautifully ornate with intricate religious iconography and golden accents that take your breath away.
Entry is free like most Greek Orthodox churches, making it an easy stop while exploring the area. The peaceful atmosphere inside offers a quiet moment of reflection away from the busy streets. Even if you're not religious, the artistic craftsmanship and historical value make it worth a brief visit.
Perfect location for combining with a walk through central Chania!

This centrally located church is free to enter, and can be a little busy with tourists. It’s small inside, but can see the icons, art, and historical features.

I would give zero stars if possible. I see other reviews here with interior photos. Yet I was about to take a picture and a woman shouted at me in a very rude way "NO PHOTOS". Could she have spoken nicely and said please?.... Very rude. Now I am not interested to go inside any churches thanks to this rude outburst.

A church of beautiful architecture both on the inside and on the outside. Contains great works of art. It is in a plaza next to the historic Chalidon street, which you should definitely walk if you visit Chania.

A large, impressive building with beautiful byzantine icons... A good option for feeling a bit calmer, making a prayer for someone you love, outside the other tourist spots in Chania

Beautiful small church, interesting architecture, reminds me of Spanish churches. The outside is in a very nice color and it matches perfectly with the buildings around it. There is a juice shop near the building that makes very nice juices. The inside of the church is also small but beautiful.

Holly place. The first I saw when coming from the bus stop and take a break from finding my way to the accomodation.
Visited in that very evening and have the joy of listen the bells every day from my balcony.
They do not allowed picture inside.
