The Best Distilleries for Gin Tasting in Scotland - AFAR

"A compact producer of both whisky and gin located at the base of Salisbury Crags; its juniper-forward Height of Arrows gin is finished with Isle of Skye sea salt and natural beeswax, and visitors can join combined gin-and-whisky tours ($22) or a longer Charmed Circle walking tour ($43) that explores the city's brewing and distilling history." - Katie MacLeod

Had an amazing tour at Holyrood Distillery. My tour guide, Lloyd, was very personable and knowledgeable. I highly recommend checking out Arthur’s Seat and Holyrood Park, and then walking over to the Distillery. They start you off with a taste of their special cocktail, which was delicious. All of the spirits that I tried were really good, and I decided to purchase a few small bottles of their Gin and New Make, and then a large bottle of their peated whiskey, Embra. The distillery is just one more amazing place to check out when visiting Edinburgh.

A great, innovative distillery and a must visit in Edinburgh. I’ve been on a few tours here and Ezra’s tour was the best I’ve been on so far. The bar is excellent as well with some very professional cocktails. Looking forward to seeing what they come out with next.

A really fun and family-friendly visit, with two kids around ten years old. We learned tons about the world of whisky and gin in this new distillery, which offers original products while still keeping things approachable. We were especially glad to have done the tour with our Swiss guide — she was super energetic and genuinely friendly. Highly recommend checking it out

I thoroughly enjoyed the tour of this distillery in Edinburgh. It provides with an excellent overview of the Gin and Whisky making process. They are also experimenting with different combinations of the ingredients which was interesting. A tasting was included and their gin and whisky were quite good.

The distillery tour and hanging out in the bar after the tour was one of our Edinburgh trip highlights. Highly recommended a visit to this unique distillery and pay the extra for the single malt sample in the bar. Courtney, our wonderful distillery tour guide, was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I love how they experiment with so many yeasts and recipes to be innovators in spirits.

Young and innovative distillery in the heart of Edinburgh New and modern place in the center of Edinburgh. If you are interested in whisky, gin or other spirits, you will really enjoy it here. The tours are interesting and the staff is very friendly. You can see that they love what they do. I liked how they mix tradition with new ideas. The tasting at the end was great! I highly recommend visiting if you are in Edinburgh.
