Holyrood Distillery

Took part at the "Behind the Cask" tour. Very exclusive tour. Only 5 people. We had a lot of fun, learned a lot about whisky and different types of yeast. The tasting was delicious. In comparison to other distillery tours, there was no complete tasting at the end. Diego, our very nice and competent tour guide served us different spririts during the whole tour. Highlight was a special single cask whisky directly out of the cask. We were able to buy a bottle. Of course I did. 😉 Highly recommended. For beginners and for whisky nerds. And Diegos recommended bar for a nice whisky afterwards was also perfect. Would do it again.

Took a tour here with Macallan and she was impeccable! Very knowledgable about everything regarding the company’s origin, Scottish whiskey distilling and their own distillation process. Her bright attitude made the tour and facts enjoyable to listen to - felt like it was perfect amount of information. Stopped by the bar after to get a whiskey flight and a gimlet (highly recommend Funk!) and it was the perfect ending. Highly recommend stopping by for a drink and/or getting a tour!

We had a fantastic tour with Lloyd, who was really knowledgeable and entertaining! The tour lasted 1 hour and included 3 tasting, I loved the gin, and bought a bottle in their shop! Highly recommended!

We booked a whisky tour for the afternoon, and myself not knowing much about whisky found it to be absolutely full of facts and a with a few tasters was a great afternoon! Michaelin our tour guide was brilliant, animated and full of facts and kept us all engaged, a real asset to your company (and no she didnt pay me to say this! 🤣) well deserved praise!! I would definitely recommend a tour here if your visiting Edinburgh even for the day!!

Lloyd gave an amazing and informative tour of the distillery. The whiskey tasting was an awesome touch too. The bar here also serves really tasty cocktails. Highly recommend for anybody visiting Edinburgh

Had a fantastic Gin flight here. Fantastic team explained all about the gins we had on our flight board. Friendly and informative, gin was a smooth juniper forward. Enjoyed trying all of flavours with recommended mixers. So good we left buying a bottle of our favourite.

Had a lovely experience with the whiskey gin tour via getyourguide. Got some really interesting insights into the making and tasting of several whiskeys and gins. I used to be a big hater, but our tourguide Ezra pulled through with some wonderful suggestions in the bar to make me like whiskey for the very first time. Overall a wonderful experience, except for when Lloyd stormed into the room and tried to selfishly steal all the attention. Would recommend this experience to anyone!

On our recent trip to Edinburgh by husband and I went to the whiskey and chocolate tasting. Ours was led by Courtney and we had a delightful time learning about the distillery, the history of whiskey making in Scotland past and present and the different tasting notes during the guided chocolate and whiskey tasting. All around a great addition to our trip!
