Recently, we had an unforgettable stay at Hotel Aurora in Tromsø, and I must say that our expectations were exceeded. The hotel offers excellent services that are truly above standard. The atmosphere was very pleasant and cozy, which contributed to a fantastic experience. The room we had was simply incredible—spacious, elegantly decorated, and equipped with everything we needed. In the relaxation area, we enjoyed the hot tub, which was a great way to unwind after a day of exploring the beautiful Tromsø. A special mention goes to the receptionist, Analu, whose willingness and friendly approach completely transformed our stay into an unforgettable experience. Her attention to detail and effort to make our stay as pleasant as possible was truly commendable. Another advantage of the hotel is that they are very pet-friendly, which delighted us as we could bring our dogs along. Overall, I highly recommend Hotel Aurora to anyone looking for a great place to stay with exceptional services. Everything here was more than excellent, but the credit for our fantastic stay goes undoubtedly to Analu. We would love to return here!

Rooms are average! But the BREAKFAST, fika, & dinner make this stay WAY above average. We were dining like kings. The chef is amazing. The variety & flavor were incredible. I felt like we were at a five star restaurant. Just finished a 2 week trip to Norway from the US, and we stayed at this hotel on the first night. At the end of this trip I am still thinking about the meals I had at this hotel.

We were here for the Midnight Sun Marathon. Great stay with comfortable rooms. It was kind of unbelievable that this hotel included free breakfast, dinner, and afternoon snacks. Definitely saved us some money and was quality food. Sauna and gym included, rooftop hot tub available for a fee. We could also store luggage and close to transit to the airport.

We stayed here for 5 nights. The breakfast and dinner are included plus the daily fika from 3- 5 pm. Lovely big room, we booked a superior double and it was quiet and very spacious. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The only problem we had was when housekeeping left our room open all day (!) but fortunately, nothing was taken. We did report it to reception straightaway and they were very concerned and apologetic. The hotel is in a perfect location for shops, restaurants and tourist information plus you can walk across the bridge to the Arctic Cathedral. Would definitely recommend for a stay in Tromso.

Wonderful staff. Loved breakfast and dinner being included as eating out in Norway can be prohibitively expensive. Breakfast was excellent. I was also impressed with dinner. It’s not the most expansive buffet you will ever experience but it’s wholesome food. Room was super comfortable. Location couldn’t be better. Tromso is charming. Highly recommend visiting in the shoulder season.

I had an overall enjoyable stay at Home Hotel Aurora. I arrived on Friday, and the man who checked me in was very pleasant and welcoming. Both breakfast and dinner were great – I really appreciated the quality of the food. On Saturday, two friends came to visit, and we decided to use the sauna and jacuzzi. Everything was going well until a staff member embarrassed me in front of my friends and others, saying only two people were allowed to use the facilities. We had all scanned the QR code as instructed on the first day, so I assumed it was fine. I’ve never experienced this as a problem before. The way she handled it felt unnecessarily rude. She could have spoken to me privately instead of calling me out publicly. I went to the reception afterwards to express how I felt, and while she apologized, it didn’t feel sincere. That said, the hotel has a great location and good food. However, the loud music at night which went on until 3 AM both nights made it difficult to sleep.

Great location by the water and a lot of shops around. The free dinner is very good, not just a few snacks but an actual meal. The room is a bit outdated but comfortable. Parking is 200nok a night in a private lot. Knocked off one star because the soundproofing needs to be better; I could hear my neighbors having loud sex.
