3 nights non powered site beside the river gave us gorgeous sunsets over the Cockburn ranges and convivial evenings with other campers watching the crocodiles drift down the Pentecost. Hot showers and toilets were cleaned by a team of three daily and resupplied with soap and loo paper. And yes, they could have been maintained better.||There is a beautiful detailed brochure about the walks, which you need to ask for. Bindoola falls walk through the sandstone is beautiful. ||The pool is now full and is lovely....it's a very green Oasis amidst the dust. We had a couple of meals which were fine - usual standard for the Gibb. And the staff were happy and helpful....guess it depends on whos on duty. ||Reception staff were pleasant, but not particularly interested or friendly.||The only thing we were disappointed in was the lack of information re the station. We would have loved to learn more about the working and ownership of the station, and it's history which looks intriguing ( from Google). Am sure there's wonderful stories. And that's one reason we travel - to learn

Had two night booked in early July at the riverside camp but had the unfortunate situation of a fuel tank leak from the previous stop. Explaining the situation to the staff at the desk, they changed our camping location so we were out front and then quickly put me onto the maintenance team who very quickly assisted with a way to contain the leak and restrict soil contamination until I could sort out a repair. The facilities were great and in good knick, the food was really well priced with massive portions and the pool was bang on perfect during the day. The tank was repaired and we were on our way with no issues for the remainder of the trip. Many thanks to all staff, your help made a stressful situation much easier to deal. Unfortunately the maintenance staff were out and about so I could not thank them personally.

Very friendly and helpful. Fantastic facilities, very clean. Food was delicious. Home Valley provides a very relax environment with the opportunity to participate in various activities offered. If you want to experience First Nations culture, than this is the place for you.

I’m very sad to put a 1 star for this camp but unfortunately our car broke down and they wouldn’t refund us our money which was a lot, we had rang 3 other stations who where more then happy to refund our money with no questioned ask. I just want to let everyone know that it is a 14 day refund policy and unfortunately we spoke to one lady who said she would refund us yesterday afternoon and we rang again today to get told they don’t do that. Very disappointed and won’t be booking with them again or recommending them

We prebooked 3 nights for a powered site at the homestead, what a disappointment everything looked so nice in the brochures and web site, not one-bit green grass around camp sites plenty bindi eye though, has sprinklers everywhere but looked like not used, no hot water for showers, broken toilet seats, taps full of calcium, shower walls need a clean, shower heads leaking, one washing machine the other has no door. Obviously no maintenance has been done for a very long time, some good points nice pool to cool off in, bar well stocked $5:00 for can coke though, food average. Such a shame this place has been let go seems management do not care. Especially when you pay $80:00 for a powered site some with water.

We bought a day visior pass ($10pp) We got to enjoy walks with our dogs, I think like 6 walks available. Recommend starting early for the heat, especially if going with dogs. SO nice to have this as alternative to el questro. We got to enjoy the pool, access drinking water and use amenities. So refreshing to have such an open welcome, so unlike the other stops on the Gibb, from our experience. 100% worth staying or at least visiting to get away from the overpriced overcrowded other stops. Great food at the restaurant too, well priced

Absolutely loved our visit! The staff delivered outstanding customer service from the moment we arrived. The restaurant and bar are top-notch — the pork ribs and pork belly were simply to die for! The chef’s homemade BBQ sauce was a standout and paired perfectly with the meal. The best pork ribs on the Gibb! The facilities were spotless, especially the showers — clean and well-maintained. Whether you're stopping by for a meal or staying overnight, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommend!

Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing from the start. The reception on arrival was lukewarm at best — it felt like our presence didn’t matter. We weren’t given any information about the park’s facilities or activities, including the important detail that the restaurant was closed due to staff issues. The park itself appears quite run down and in need of significant maintenance. The shower water was barely warm, which made things worse. For a location so remote, you’d expect some standout features or service to make the trip worthwhile, but sadly, there was nothing to draw us in.
