I just want to start off by saying I mostly had a good stay here, and all of the staff are absolutely incredible. The went above and beyond any time I had questions or issues. There was an issue with the laundry service and they were super kind to me and did everything they could to remedy it. That experience actually improved my overall opinion on the hostel.
However, the actual bedrooms and facilities were not the most comfortable. I'll start with the good - the beds were comfortable, laid out well, and had a shelf, power outlet, and everything else you'd expect. The lockers could only be used with a 2 euro coin as a deposit for the key, but I wish they'd just let you use your own lock. Bathrooms were kept clean consistently.
The bad: WiFi - The WiFi speed and reliability was just really poor. I found it difficult to work remotely whether I was in my room or the common area.
Room - I was on the top floor and the noise level was pretty bad. Not just from the outside, which I know isn't the hostel's fault, but also inside. Every door in the place was super loud when they closed. Additionally, due to air pressure differences, the door in my room (which was latched closed) would sound like it was being slammed every few minutes. All of this made it difficult to fall asleep. As for the showers, the water temperature could not be controlled. If you set it to a good temperature, it would constantly spike and drop, to the point where one moment it's tap cold and the other it's literally burning your skin.
Everything else about this hostel was great, from the service to the location to the social atmosphere, but ultimately you're here to shower and sleep and those things were just difficult.
