We stayed at the Home 2 Suites for over a week, and I have to say, we had the best time.
First, it's practically brand new. Everything was spotless, modern, and well taken care of. The staff were so friendly and attentive, from the front-desk people to the housekeepers.
We stayed in a one-bedroom suite, and it was pretty spacious. The kitchen area had a dining table, with excess space leftover. The kitchen came fully stocked, and while we never cooked, it was great for storing and reheating leftovers and such. The living room that was next to the kitchen had a sofa bed, desk, and TV.
The room was very spacious as well. There wasn't an 'actual' closet, but there was a make-shift one. I wish it was bigger - and that we were provided with more hangers. The room also had a dresser and another TV.
The bathroom was big as well. It was definitely a very spacious suite and was perfect for multiple people.
We slept well every night. It's definitely a calm and peaceful place to stay, and we were never disturbed by rowdy guests.
We went to the pool almost everyday, which was another treat! It was almost always empty, and it was just super relaxing. I wish they had a hot tub though. That would be a great addition!
The gym was nice. It was on the smaller side, but the equipment was new and everything was super tidy. The laundry room was also in the gym. When I had an issue with one of the dryers, they offered to pay for an additional cycle and someone repaired it that same day.
Breakfast was included and we enjoyed it everyday! My only complaint was that there wasn't much variety, as some other hotels have. They only had a variety of sandwiches, which ended up being the same few for the week we were there. Only one of the sandwiches was tasty on its own microwaved (as per instructions), so that was a bit of a bummer. For most days, I would just take out the egg and meat, heat it up, and put it on a fresh piece of bread or english muffin (since the bread would get incredibly hard from microwaving the sandwich). On the bright side, they did have a waffle maker, and assortment of toppings for oatmeal, and fruit/yogurt. Even with the limited selection, we still enjoyed it and had a great start to our day with it.
This was definitely a great place! The staff, again, was incredibly helpful and attentive. It was pretty close to most places. We visited a couple of lakes and shops in the area, on top of more extensive travel.
I would definitely recommend!
