Oh excellent food! Each & every dish we ordered was made to perfection. The tase was par excellence. Cheese was too good and the breads were freshly baked. Food had soul. The owners were very warm, the place is very nice. It's a small cafe but wonderful food. One of the best in Windermere.

An insanely good breakfast and brunch cafe in Windermere! Just a few minutes walk from the train station, this is the best brunch me and my girlfriend had on our Lake District trip. So much so that we had breakfast here 3 times in a row! The chef must use some sort of magic to make the food so flavorful! A must visit for bread lovers!

Lovely little cafe! We popped here for breakfast during our trip to the lakes. The cafe itself is lovely and we managed to get seated right before it was full with the morning rush. The staff were all friendly and polite. The menu is limited however what we did order was very nice, my partner had a bacon and fried egg sandwich and I had sourdough toast with raspberry jam😋

Absolutely loved this place! The food was both delicious and creative. I highly recommend the Benedict eggs — the roasted vegetables on the side were perfectly crisp and full of flavor. Another must-try is the Homeground Sarnie — the pan-fried mashed potatoes inside were amazing! Paired with creamy avocado mash and a touch of plum sauce, it was rich yet perfectly balanced and not greasy at all. The environment was also clean and cozy, making the whole experience even better. I’d definitely come back again — highly recommended!

Spectacular selection of cakes and pastries and the most delicious French toast we’ve had to date. All very fresh, and beautifully presented, with great coffee to boot :)

This is the BEST brunch restaurant we have ever been to! We are grieving the fact that we will leave Windermere back to the US and not be able to bring this place with us!!! It is the kind of food you don’t forget about. The Lamb Fat Toast was out of this world good, the combination of flavors and textures are done to perfection! In fact, we wish that we were in the restaurant business so we could negotiate bringing it to our area as we are sure it would be an incredible success, and would bring a lot of culinary joy to our community! We don’t regret standing in line in the cold to get in to partake because it was 100% worth it!!! The creativity of the dishes were incredible! We ate here every morning of our stay in the Lake District…it left its mark. ❤️

This is probably the local fav among all cafes in Windermere, coz that queue is all day long. Takes time to get in, but the food is top notch. Service is slow. The avocado toast with eggs and coffee were both good. But the banana bread and hash browns were the real stars, truly delightful. We had the cute seating by the window and enjoyed the views too. Takes time to get a table and to get the food, so go when you have time to spare!

Very very good coffee and their breakfast portions are very generous. Extremely tasty bacon, the sour dough is delicious with an olive oil and salt touch. The eggs Benedict the best we have had, it looks overwhelmed by the sauce but it’s actually done perfectly with the blend of flavours. Highly recommended. Walk ins only but we waiting max 10 mins seated outside before we got a table, worth the wait
