Super hidden place inside a building. These folks roast a lot and it shows. They do good coffee though on the pricier side - an espresso is $8 - unheard of in Singapore. Staff are very nice, but some are not as informed as others. The interior is chill, and fairly uncrowded. Also, a rare coffee place without any desserts.

Homeground Coffee Roasters is a minimalist specialty coffee spot inside the Tan Chong Motors compound on Bukit Timah Road. I dropped by for a quick coffee run—clean, well-extracted filter and black coffee are clearly their strength. The space feels more like a roastery than a café, with serious equipment and beans for sale. Food options are very limited, so this is strictly about coffee. Best for coffee purists or a focused caffeine stop, not for long stays.

Located at tan chong building. A gem for true coffee lovers. It offers an impressively huge menu. The barista is knowledgeable and happy to explain the differences without any pretence. The decor is simple and calming, creating a relaxing space to enjoy coffee properly. Best of all, it’s refreshingly free from the hype, noise, and Instagram-driven chaos of trendy cafes. Just good coffee, done well, in a place that lets you slow down and appreciate it. Would be good if tasting is available. Parking inside the building. We went on sunday afternoon and it was not crowded.

Homeground Coffee Roasters is an unassuming and no frills cafe located within the Tan Chong Motors compound on Bukit Timah Road. The interior is simple with a mix of mismatched furniture, but don't let the modest setup fool you. They serve what is simply the best ice black coffee in Singapore at the moment, or at least my favorite. The focus is clearly on excelling at their craft, as there isn't much else by way of food or other drink varieties. They also retail their beans on the shelves. I do recall seeing their beans featured in KOFEE MAMEYA in Tokyo, amongst beans from ONA Canberra, certainly world class. It's a perfect spot for a dedicated coffee run, and it wasn't too crowded on a weekend morning. If you're a coffee purist, this place is certainly a must try.

Homground Coffee is truly a master when comes to coffee beans roaster. Their beans are just different, they have more aroma, and well balanced. Their “Lollipop” Espresso has a unique notes, especially its Raspberry and Marshmallow aroma. For Ethiopia Heirloom Honey process, it’s clean, with an obvious floral notes, and when it cool down, the honey notes become more and more obvious, and getting sweeter at the same time, really interesting.

A gem in the bukit tiimah belt. Ample parking and the service staff friendly and engaging. The coffee is rich with aroma and a great wake up cuppa Simply the best

Friendly staff and great coffee. I’ve come here multiple times and it’s always a great experience. The Vanta with oat milk (recommended by Keith) was delicious. Came back again and he made an excellent filter – super clean and flavourful. Lowkey want to gatekeep, but good things like this deserve to be shared! YUHHH

Good coffee comes with high price. Place is a bit hidden. I made a video so that other first time visitors dont miss the entrance. Tried their lollipop blend and it was awesome. The other filter coffee not too exiting for me. One critique is i felt the Place is bit dusty. Especially the couch, as my eyes were teary due to dust allergies.

We came here because there was a tiktok reel that said it was a MUST. The coffee was pretty good, the baristas are knowledgeable about what they're brewing up. What I didn't know is there is a full kitchen with food as well. We came an hour before closing (didn't realize they had food), but they still sat us. The overall look of the place is pretty hipster looking. The have seating along the bar where you can watch the baristas making your drinks. The food looked good, but we already had dinner plans so didn't get a bite (and the kitchen was closing as soon as we sat down, so I guess we didn't really have a choice anyways) We got the Volcan Azul cold brew and the Vanta Iced White. Both were good, but was it the best coffee in my life, no, but if you want to escape the heat with some delicious coffee pop on in. The other half of the store front sectioned off is a "store" for Homeground where you can buy coffee and coffee devices.
