Homemade Food Lili

An amazing experience, definitely my favorite restaurant in the whole albania, Lili is an incredible host, and his wife is a very talented cook, we ordered almost everything from the menu and everything was delicious, could not say which one was the best. The homemade wine is also delicious. Make yourself a favor and make a reservation to eat here.

We had a wonderful evening with Lili and his family. They made it an experience to remember in every way! The food was amazing, the atmosphere wonderful (you get to meet a lot of new people), and the host was even more memorable. Make sure to make a reservation! This place alone makes it worth to visit Berat!!!

This place is phenomenal. We attended with a group of 13 and they brought enough for us to take a little from each dish in the menu. It is all homemade in their kitchen and the dining room is their backyard. It is very small but charming. The food was incredible - not 1 bad item. The wine is also delicious, served in a carafe to share. The space was very clean, as well. We enjoyed our time and would return, if able. Make sure to make a reservation.

So many good reviews - nothing else to add. Had a great evening at a shared table with good company and good conversations. Food was great, drinks as well and Lilli is just the perfect host! Also he still has very fair prices.

Personally a great experience, I can imagine it wouldn't be for everyone, you have to be comfortable sharing a table with others, in an atmosphere of eating at home. Also the options are not varied, it's a limited menu. Genuinely the best traditional Albanian food we had over the two weeks travelling the country, Lili is a character, and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening - the home made red wine definitely helped! 😃

Going to Lilis was truly a once in a life time experience. We first smelt the food from down the street and knew we needed to check it out, Lili introduced himself to us straight away and got us a space for the following evening. The food did not disappoint, honestly melt in your mouth stuff, everything was just perfect, couldn’t have asked for anything more. Lili is one the most inspiring people I have ever met, his passion for his food, country and people around him is effervescent. You have to go here if your visiting Berat!

This was honestly the best food I’ve had in Albania- the lamb dish was to die for. But what made it so special was the service and hospitality of Lili and his family. We made friends with the whole table of strangers and shared the entire menu with the couple next to us. Definitely a night to remember.

Food was good but what we loved the most was Lili’s hospitality. He is so kind and passionate about connecting people together. We had an amazing night there eating good food, drinking raki and chatting with the fellow travelers who shared the table with us. It’s a very small place, especially in cold weather, there were only 2 small and 1 large tables. If you want to make sure you get a table, please call beforehand, so that you won’t waste your energy climbing up the stairs!
