Homeric Poems Studios and Apartments

Spectacular place with very, very lovely staff. We were stunned to find this place, the apartment was large and really well set up. Beautiful location, the building and design were transformative. A rear place that changes how you think about space and design. The fantastic guest house management organised a good value car hire for us which allowed us to scoot around the islands great locations. The main town was great to explore. We swam in three beautiful beaches and explored five amazing villages. We also had a very generous late check out which made our final day really full and easy. This is the best place to stay in Chios.

Clean, comfortable, nice design features, lovely friendly hosts, well located and parking. We have visited three times and will go again. Centrally placed for the old town and harbour of Chios, and a good base for visiting the rest of the island.

Angelika is my ture angel. From start to the end of out stay, she was extremley helpful and hospitable. We felt like visiting one of our friends , relatives. Angelika made us welcome at her beautiful studios. The building has a typical Greek style arcitecture. As son as you enter to the building the architecture and antique style strikes you. The rooms were stylish and comfortable. Angelika went beyond and above of our expectations from a host. She even gave us a lift to the ferry port at 7am in the morning. Not only that, also we forgot my son's sleeping baddy (soft Panda that my son had it since he was 1 month old) ) in the room and Angelika made huge effort to send the panda by ferry across to Cesme/ Turkey. I feel that i have a friend in Chios. Don't look anywhere else to stay. Homeric Poem and Angelika will be waiting for you to give you the best experience in this beautiful Greek island. Simply Wonderful!!

One of the best boutique hotel or BnB experiences you are likely to have anywhere on earth. Beautifully decorated rooms and the hostesses are wonderful people who will gladly help you with anything you need. Really two of the nicest and most helpful people I’ve ever met. Perfect location in the city center though finding a parking spot in the center can be difficult. The hostesses will save you a spot right in front when possible. When that’s not possible there is a huge free parking lot just a five minute walk away near the intersection of Genova and Keniti streets. See attached map photo for location. This free parking is also very easy to access. I.e., you don’t have to squeeze your car through any tiny streets.

I stayed at this apartment in July 2017. During my stay, I emailed the managers to ask when the spare bed was to be delivered as my friend was sleeping on a sofa bed for over a week. We were promised two beds so I thought it was reasonable to query given we were staying for three weeks. I also questioned the general cleanliness of the apartment (the owner keeps a cat in a cleaning cupboard on the landing at night, so the cat scratching and trying to get out can be heard, as well as the smell from the cat litter tray is noticeable in the bedroom).The bins, including the toilet bin, was infrequently changed. The toilet broken and the shower was dirty. The manager let herself into the apartment whilst I was in the shower, and literally screamed at me whilst I was standing in a towel. A complete breach of privacy. A completely unreasonable and unprofessional manager. She also made personal insulting comments whilst I was shocked that she had firstly tried to have an argument whilst I was showering (and had came into the apartment uninvited) and then waited for me to come out of the bathroom to continue her rant. I've never written a review previously but this experience was awful. Unless you can tolerate a volatile and aggressive manager and don't mind low levels of cleaning, do not book this accomodation. Whilst knowing nothing about my personal life, the manager made comments about my not being married and not having had children. Entirely irrelevant and completely unprofessional. I left as soon as I managed to get dressed!

Homeric poems is a beautiful little hotel in the center of Chios. The host is lovely, she wanted us to have the perfect holidays. The room was super clean, the bed very confortable and the place is full of charm and love.

Excellent place: very good location, a wonderful host, well restored building with a very functional kitchenette and bathroom. One of few hotels where you would actually feel at home.

Very lovely and well-supplied studio apartment. Amazingly decorated and very friendly staff. Will return!
