I had a really cozy stay for 6 days! Fiorella made the start of my visit extra great by sharing lots of information about the island, she also helped me book a tour, and directed me to tasty restaurants and ideas for adventures. I loved the AC unit in the room for both noise and temperature control. Beautiful view from my room. Also loved being able to fill up my water bottle on the property. Room was kept clean. Easy to walk or bike everywhere.

Location a bit far out of town but 20/25 minute walk or an easy taxi ride for a few dollars takes you to the centre. Ana and Allan couldn't be more helpful and welcoming. We left some cold weather gear with them in padlock-able cupboards and the rooms were always clean and tidy. Would recommend having Allan cook for you as a treat, he's passionate about fresh, tasty food and his Ecuadorian/Italian fusion meal was a highlight for us.

This is the second time I’ve stayed here. This stay was for 3 weeks. Once again, I had an amazing stay! The owner Ana is great! She went out of her way to make our stay incredible! Great AC, super clean rooms, and a very comfortable bed! Ana also makes the best breakfast! I will stay here again for sure! No need to look anywhere else! ||Ana also made sure we were aware of all of the documents we would need for Covid. She was also very prompt in completing her part of the forms and emailing them to us. ||Thank you so much Ana for another amazing stay!

This hostel had nice clean rooms, nice hot showers, and a friendly staff. The owner gave us a map of the area on the first day where we could find grocery stores, laundromats, and places for dinner. She was also super helpful with her recommendations about activities. One note is that the hostel is a far from the port (10 min walk.) This wasn't an issue because we enjoyed walking, we could also take a cab for a dollar if we wanted to (all the taxis are white trucks and will go anywhere in the city for a dollar and to the airport for 25)

We really liked this hostel. The room for 3 people was a great size and included simple cooking facilities in the room. The staff on check in were really helpful and gave us lots of advice. Clean room with a great shower. ||The WiFi was temperamental but that’s expected on the Galápagos. ||Thank you. Would love to stay again.

Stayed at this hostel for 4 nights, and had a great time seeing the area. Easy to get a 2 dollar taxi down to the port (Parque Malecon), and enjoyed the provided kitchenette and TV. The rooms were nice and clean, and the owners were very friendly and helpful for both our activity planning and accommodation for breakfast. Overall a very nice stay.

This was my first time in Galapagos and if I go back, I won’t stay anywhere else! The rooms were clean, beds were comfortable and AC was amazing! Not to mention Ana, the owner is very sweet! ||We went diving on many of the mornings we were there and Ana went out of here way to make us an amazing breakfast in the morning before we left! Had an amazing experience staying here! ||I will 100% be staying at Galapagos Best Hostel when I come back!

Most people seem to have good experience with this place, but for me and my girlfriend it was horrible. We booked a private room with kitchenette and bathroom. Upon arrival we paid and went to the room. All seemed fine, until we looked a bit closer and found hairs everywhere and dirt footsteps in the bathroom and on the floor towel. It looked like they forgot to clean the room. Even the sheets on the bed looked sloppy and had some hairs in it. We went down to the reception. The guy working there came to inspect the room and noted it has not been the regular cleaning person, so they would clean the room again for us. They then took of the sheets to be washed. We actually wanted to take a shower, so we asked for another room. They did not have another room, so we asked our money back so we could go elsewhere. They refused this. Even after phoning the owner about the situation, it was noted it was their policy to never offer a refund. So we could accept a room that still needed cleaning and go into town or leave without getting our money back. We happily choose the latter after being treated like fools. Luckily this has been our only bad experience in Ecuador. For only 10 dollars extra we had a fantastic stay elsewhere.
