My sister an I stumbled across your restaurant on our road trip . An item on her bucket list for this trip was some home cooked southern fried chicken. Well let me tell you you all deliver!! It was som juicy and tender and the flavor was amazing. She had the lime beans which she absolutely loved an i had the mac n cheese an green beans, which were perfection. Highly recommend. Lynn was an absolute delight an co owner as well.

This place is AMAZING! We were greeted when we came in the door. Everyone in the place was super friendly. I had white meat fried chicken, mac & cheese, black-eyed peas and cornbread. If I was going to complain about anything, I prefer my black-eyed peas with more juice so I can dunk my cornbread. But that is not really a complaint. The seasoning for the black-eyed peas were perfect. The fried chicken was not greasy and had great seasoning. I like my mac & cheese creamy and this was. My wife asked the big guy behind the counter if the catfish was good, he reassured her by offering a money back guarantee. She had fried catfish, black-eyed pea and green beans. She said her catfish was perfectly cooked and seasoned. She really enjoyed it and her veggies. My wife is super sensitive when it comes to food being over seasoned and she could not say enough about how good her food was. Dude’s money back guarantee is safe.

I had grilled pork chops, squash casserole and green beans. The pork chops were cooked to perfection and and tender. The service was friendly and it was a great place. I enjoyed it. My husband had liver and he said it was delicious too. Please go here when you can to support this restaurant.

Fast friendly service! The food was very good! The fried chicken was the best I’ve had in Millbrook in years! It was hot and juicy and tender the crust was perfectly crunchy! It was like eating at your grandmothers for Sunday dinner! Glad Millbrook finally has a new place to get great home cooked food! We will definitely be back to try more!

This is the best food I’ve had in a long time! I first tasted the food from Hometown Kitchen, at The Taste of Elmore County fundraiser event. I ordered the Tuesday special of meat and three. I had the best fried chicken, rice and gravy, baked Mac n’ cheese, Lima beans, and cornbread, along with sweet tea. The food was perfectly seasoned and packed full of flavor! I didn’t have to add anything, not even salt. It is family owned and run beautifully. I talked with two of the owners-mother and daughter, Felicia and Jalisa. I enjoyed spending time with them and hearing their story, and visions for their future. Everyone was friendly, polite, and I felt like I was even part of their wonderful family! If you’re searching for soul food, truly made with love and the freshest ingredients (nothing canned here), then look no further. This is the BEST!

I went here to eat with my family. I got the catfish plate with cornbread, Mac and cheese and yams! Everything was delicious. The catfish filets were a great size. I will be coming back for more catfish! My dad got the fried pork chops, which were a great size.
