Homewood Suites by Hilton Hartford Downtown

I enjoyed my night with Hubby celebrating our 30 year Anniversary. It was very welcoming (Thanks Josh) I think he mentioned he was there 7am-11pm and he was still very personable and friendly. He suggested a restaurant that was in walking distance from the hotel... the restaurant had a live band that made it a nice atmosphere. Hotel room was very quiet, clean and the breakfast was nice with several options. I would recommend this hotel and definitely will stay there again.

The location was great, which is the best feature. Everything was clean and well kept. I feel as though, for the price, the room could have been nicer. There was a cooktop that looked to be in disrepair, no extra pillows or blankets in the room. Generally a positive experience, however the details were lacking

We stayed for a week and l will start by saying “Go there only if it’s the last hotel available “. The room was dusty and dirty. Carpet was old and very dirty with antique furniture. The mattrees was very uncomfortable and provided no back support. Who still uses spring mattress? Customer service was also horrible and I had to ask for the rooms to get cleaned each day. I don't recommend this place to anyone looking for a clean nice hotel to say in. Please don't pay attention to the online photos as the hotel looks nothing like what they show.

Great hotel at budget prices. The rooms are near and clean and the food tastes great. You get free bottled water during your stay. The only problem is, their 24x7 convenience store has very high prices for simple items, and there are not many items there. A point of beer costs 6$s. I can get 6 for 10 outside. Other than that, it is also at a great location, very near to the union station and situated in the downtown.

The room itself was amazing, as was the housekeeling staff. The breakfast was always good. The front desk staff? Woman couldnt be bothered to even look up at me, and waited until I started walking away at checkout to speak (had gotten a nod only in response to my question, my placing key down). Oh, and parking? They don't own the lot, so be prepared to spend some money!

Overall, my stay at this hotel has been excellent. The rooms are much larger than any other comparative hotels I stayed at. It has a full kitchen and in this particular room 2 bathrooms. The room is clean and has all the expected amenities. They provide both breakfast and happy hour at no charge.

Elevator smelled like piss, 2 of 3 weren't working well, almost got stuck & it's airtight. Breakfast & dinner were good in that they changed it up & tasted pretty decent (comp beer/wine were a plus), but one of the ladies was a cluster in keeping it stocked & cleaned every time she worked - frustrating. Good luck w/the shuttle service. Driver is unsafe & generally a jerk, unprofessionally criticizing others' driving when he can't even stay in his own lane; just unpleasant to be around. Kudos for front desk for answering the phones, couple of nice people there, but they're also not the sharpest tools in the shed. Communication between all workers at all levels, including the don't-give-a-damn manager, were poor. Cleaning lady even tried to enter my room at an odd hour despite the 'no service needed' sign on my door. Room was good, bed comfy, great downtown location & vibe, but no fan in the bathroom so that made the bedroom humid & attracted gnats.

Good hotel. Clean and modern. Gorgeous view from my room on the front of the building. Breakfast is above average for a free hotel breakfast. Possibly the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in. I wished they had self-serve laundry.
