WARNING: Unfair and Discriminatory Treatment at Homewood Suites Huntsville, AL! As a long-time Hilton Honors member, I am deeply saddened and disappointed by my recent experience at this property. My stay was marred by an unfair and discriminatory cleaning fee, levied for a situation related to my menstrual cycle – a natural and unavoidable occurrence. I was charged $150 for this, and despite providing clear evidence, including photos and videos, the hotel management has been unwilling to resolve the issue. The lack of understanding and the dismissive attitude I encountered were truly disheartening. The hotel's response was not only insensitive but also suggests a lack of awareness of the challenges women face. This experience has shaken my faith in the brand and left me feeling hurt and disrespected. I am committed to advocating for fair treatment and against discriminatory practices. I urge other women to be cautious when considering this hotel. I will be pursuing further action to address this injustice. Avoid this property.

It was an awesome place to stay. Even though we were right across from the ER @ Huntsville Hospital, we never heard any noise, and we were facing the ER. Definitely will stay there on our next trip. We were only about 10 minutes from our family.

This is a top Hilton property and probably best overall in Huntsville. I was in town for a night stayed here because location was great and easy parking in the garage. Publix is 500 feet walking distance. Ruth Chris right across the street. Hotel was very clean room was spacious had all the amenities you needed. I was impressed as I have never stayed in a Homewood suites this well kept. Kudos to the GM. Lobby was well kept breakfast area was full and clean. When I’m back in Huntsville this will definitely be the property I stay at.

We are back again at this hotel our 2nd time this is a wonderful place to stay ❤ the employees are wonderful always ready to help. My husband gets up as soon he smell the Breakfast. The first time we came he met Mrs Phyllis she works in the gally she makes the Breakfast. We are back again and he was looking for her We found her today. She ran and gave both of us a hug!!! We all started laughing. She was leaving but she told my hubby she will see him in the morning 🌄 when we first came they were remodeling now it looks really good.

Very friendly guest service. Very clean and the stay was nice calm and restful. Having a full kitchen for a week long stay was so useful and helpful. The daily breakfast was very tasty and enjoyable.

The young African American lady at the front who serves as the Asst General Manager was so friendly and hospitable as we were checking out today. I had an urgent need and she found an immediate solution! She has a gift for hospitality!

Recently I had the opportunity to visit the Huntsville, AL area, and chose this hotel to for my stay. The location is excellent as it is easy to get anywhere from where they are located. The parking is excellent as it's in a parking garage operated by the city, is free, well lit, very safe, and next door to the hotel. The room itself (a king suite on the first floor) was huge and very comfortable. While I was only there three days, the housekeeping service was lacking, as I had to dispose of my full trashcan in the lobby area. The hotel itself is very quiet, and the complimentary breakfast was tasty! Definitely check this property out if you're in the area and looking for a place to stay!

I had a water leak in my house and insurance put me up here for an extended stay. The staff are extremely sweet and kind! They make it feel like home here. I also really enjoy the breakfast! I just wish they'd get gas for their grill outside so I could quit driving to my house when I want to BBQ 🤣 and yes I've asked like 20 times now idk whats up because they have accommodated every other request of mine. Still give them 5/5 stars 🌟 though. Enjoying my stay here! Highly recommend if you're coming to visit huntsville. Just don't have high expectations they will have gas in the grill lmao

Yelp
This hotel was super dirty. I checked into my first room and took a look around. I checked the shower and found a dirty washcloth. I went down stairs and asked the front desk lady for a new room, she was super polite and probably the best thing about this hotel! When I got to my second room I checked the shower again. It was filthy!!! Even though it was dirty, I decided that since both rooms were dirty it was probably how all the rooms were going to be. When I went downstairs in the morning to get breakfast, I was met with a lobby full of mattresses. Check out the pictures, it's a real thing!

Yelp
Beautiful hotel in the downtown Huntsville area. The staff were very friendly and the hotel was very clean! The breakfast buffet had great options of hot food and grab and go. This hotel is within walking distance to public and great little Mexican restaurant.

Yelp
less than 1 star! hotel claims the parking near the Doctors Office is posted as their parking. NO SIGN COULD BE SEEN. they have tickets issued to make money off of sick people! will NEVER stay in this brand of hotels again. They are uncaring about people unless you are a"guest" at their overpriced place! Mrs. March Stierwalt msromegal@gmail.com

Yelp
My daughter stayed four night's here because it was the closest to the hospital where her baby was in NICU. The staff was very kind and accommodating, one even asking how her baby was doing daily. She said every worker she dealt with was so nice to her. The room was clean and the cleaning staff came in, changing linens, cleaning the bathroom, dusting and offered to vacuum as well. I highly rate this place and recommend it if you're in the area.

Yelp
I am a Hilton Diamond Member. I travel throughout the south with work and have tried to stay at Hilton brand properties. But post-COVID shutdown, just about every Hilton I have stayed at has been similar to this. The 2 exceptions are the Broadway (Doubletree) in Columbia, MO and the Hilton Garden Inn - Downtown Mobile. I could not recommend this hotel. I have recently switched to Marriott locations. The Courtyards have all been immaculately kept. One important note: The staff have all been amazing at the Hilton properties. It is the property themselves and the cleanliness.

Mandy M.

Yelp
Do not book here. -Not honest*** I travel a ton for work and stay primarily at Hilton's as I am a long stand diamond status, I stayed here and had issues. I checked out at 9am and ran into the cleaning lady which she asked if I was checking out. As this is common I told her yes. She was a young Hispanic girl wear pink scrubs and glasses. By the time I got to the airport at 2pm I realized I left my prescription Versace glasses. (They were new so I'm not used to wearing them and only wear them for reading) I immediately contacted the front desk and said no one turned any in. 10min later the manager called and said that he checked the room and couldn't find any and the cleaning department said they never seen any glasses. As I know exactly where I left them, this is unacceptable as in a matter of 6hrs they were stolen. All he said was he understands my accusations. I contact Hilton corporate with a generic email regarding a case number with absolutely no follow ups on their part. Super disappointed in their customer service or even the blaring obvious of the situation. Will be switching to Marriott here on out. Seriously, who steals prescription glasses???? Saddens me that they hire thieves.

Yelp
There was no bathtub in our room, the TV is small, no safe in the room and the sofa was low to the ground and not comfortable at all. The free breakfast did not include eggs or bacon. Just cold shriveled link sausage. Employees are very nice and it is situated near everything.

Yelp
The hotel is located downtown. They share their parking space with Publix. There are a few open spaces for hotel guests on the ground floor but usually it's taken so we had to park on the 3rd floor. I would suggest parking near the elevator on the third floor and hop into the elevator to the second floor and you can go down the ramp head to the hotel side entrance. If you take the elevator down to the first floor, it'll take you closer to Publix and to get to the hotel entrance, you have to cross the parking lot from one end to the other. I've stayed for two weeks and I keep having problems with my key card and had to have it reprogram almost everyday. I really don't care for them saying out loud what my room number is or asking me when I'm already showing them the room number they have on my key envelope and they repeat it. The digital key never worked on my phone either. I called the help line and they told me the hotel front desk can help me out but when I told the front desk lady, she says they don't have anything to do with the digital key since it's the Hilton apps. I come across different front desk ladies throughout my stay and most are friendly and would greet me when I'm either leaving early for work, coming back from work or leaving the hotel. There is this one person named Kenndie who shouldn't be at the front desk and be the face of the hotel. She's not friendly and when you ask her a question she would answer you and then just walk off and start doing something else. She's also the person that checked me in late that evening. My keys didn't work so I called the hotel on my phone and it just rang and rang and rang. When she finally answered the phone I asked her if she could bring me another set of keys so I didn't have to push the luggage rack with all my things back downstairs. She told me she's the only person at the front desk and that I had to go downstairs to get the keys. Beside the blood stain on the pullout couch with no bed spread or anything,Kenndie the front desk person and my problem with both the physical key and digital key which is so inconvenient, my stay was ok.

Yelp
Highly recommend this Hilton property. Super clean, spacious rooms; helpful, friendly and professional staff; had 1 issue in room upon checking in and maintenance came to repair within 5 minutes. Location is convenient to restaurants and a Publix grocery store within a block of hotel. I will stay here again in the future.

Yelp
I was really looking forward to staying here but after the first five minutes I was ready to check out. Even though the room had a seal on the door to indicate it was sanitized and cleaned, the first thing my husband found in the toilet bowl was un-flushed #2. It was a holiday weekend so nothing else was available. Someone came to clean it but it completely ruined the rest of our stay. Also, the cleaner used gloves to clean the toilet and after he finished, closed the doors with those same gloves. While the room appeared clean, we just couldn't trust anything after that. We needed extra sheets and blankets for the sleeper sofa and found a bag with those items stuffed in the bag unfolded, which gave us the impression that it was probably not clean. When trying to turn on the shower, the knob was all wobbly, the tub didn't drain well and there were some debris in the tub. AND we paid extra for our suite to get a $15 resort credit, early check in and late check out. When I mentioned this to the receptionist, she said I was the second person to mention it but still didn't know anything about it. I has to push her to call someone to find out. She said she would. When I asked her later that day, she said the person hung up on her and should probably call them back. I never heard back and ended up checking out early. The one star is for the nice hot breakfast with super friendly and attentive ladies manning that station. They should really run the entire hotel. I'm usually pretty laid back about hotel stays but after all the things that happened, I'll be staying away from here.

Yelp
As a Hilton Diamond member I have definitely stayed in my fair share of Homewood Suites. They normally are amazing and have amazing staff. This one had dirty bathrooms- soap still there from the people before. No where to park since Publix takes up the entire first floor parking and the rude assistant manager running the front desk. I would not recommend staying here. I would pick the Embassy Suites if you must have Hilton or better yet choose Marriott. This one has gone downhill.

Mark J.

Yelp
Front Desk: Terrible service. Nobody is ever at the front desk. You've got to go into the office and yell "hey!" to get anyone. One of the girls is worse than the other but they sit in the back office at their desk and you can't check in, but things at the WAY overpriced snack corner, etc. Maintenance Man's Customer Service: A+, he was friendly, professional, and extremely fast to address my request. Thank you sir! The ladies in the Kitchen/Happy Hour/Dining area: A+ Customer service! The lady with the red hair is sweet and the tall skinny lady (sorry I don't recall her name) she's the absolute most polite, friendly, hospitable, professional employee at the hotel! She's awesome! She literally made me feel like a VIP at a luxurious resort destination. I vote for her to be the GM and the Maintenance man to be her assistant. Cleanliness: D- Horribly disgusting. Pink slime in the showers, the floors are dirty in the rooms, hallways, bathrooms, and stairways. My bathroom floor tiles are popping up from water damage beneath the floor tiles which tells me there has to be plenty of mold under there. The toilets are gross and dirty. All the dishes in the cabinets in the "suites" are disgusting and dirty. The carpets and baseboards are torn. Not what I had hoped for when I booked my extended stay at the "Hilton" property. Breakfast Foods/Happy Hour: C+/B- The food is edible and once or twice it was really good. Other times it's not. Free is good though. Hahaha Modernization: The hotel is badly in need of a renovation. It's outdated. Even my TV turns itself off all on its own and changed stations after a certain amount of time. I guess they don't like me watching FoxNews 24-7. Hahaha

Yelp
This visit cinched it for me,  I will never choose to stay in a Homewood suite again. I picked this hotel due to its closeness to the event I was attending. We checked in around 7 and the first impression was not great. Beds were made, but there was a lone sock laying on the floor by one of the beds. Massive dust on the ceiling fan, I was afraid to turn it on for fear dust would fly. The Bathroom exhaust fan is located on the wall by the toilet and it too was disgustingly covered in dust. We walked down to the front desk because there was no directory to call. Mentioned the dust on both fans and asked for more towels. The fans were clean, but they did not clean up all the dust from them. The bedroom fan dust ended up on one of the beds where the sheets had been pulled back by us. The bathroom fan had dust laying on and in the toilet. A pan in the kitchen had standing water in it when we pulled it down to use. The HVAC control in the living room portion only has one number that you can make out. Had to ask for towels a second time they were never brought the first time. I typically love Hilton Hotels but not this one. Homewood suites are off my list forever. I understand covid has changed so many things, but I really think that they need to put in a directory for the phone usage. Also the ice maker on our floor was broken. Just not a fan of this hotel can not recommend it to anyone.

Yelp
This hotel needs to be CLEANED and updated. The staff is inept! First room I was given was dirty. It took 30 min for the front desk to get another one. The keys did not work the second day because they never changed the room in the system. Rooms are dated, furniture is stained and worn. There are holes in the wall where pictures are missing. Found a pistachio on the kitchen floor. Smoke detector in the lobby chirping for three days now.

Spencer S.

Yelp
My first experience with bed bugs & ive traveled for years . Staff asked to do an inspection on our new room & left all the sheets & pillows on the floor. They had no intention of cleaning our clothes or any kind of compensation for the situation . The two stars are one for Molly the cleaning lady & the other for the kitchen staff

Ms. M.

Yelp
Really nice hotel!!! It's pretty clean, has lots of amenities and is in a good location. Casual and upscale restaurants for lunch and dinner are only a few feet away as well as Publix. The hotel offers a hot breakfast and evening reception. Items on the mini breakfast buffet differ from day to day. One day the buffet includes waffles, eggs, sausage, gravy and biscuits. Another day it includes grits, potatoes, pre-made omelettes and chicken patties. Each day hot/cold cereal, fruit, boiled eggs, toast and bagels are available. Note: if they run out of an item they will put something else out. Evening reception includes a white & red wine selection as well as draft beer. Hot food or snacks are served on the mini buffet. We saw spinach dip one day, Italian meatball sliders a second and hamburgers a third. It varies from day to day. The rooms are nice! Kitchenette has a a flat stovetop with two eyes. The kitchen is stocked with pots/pans, plates, utensils, etc... it also has a dishwasher, full sized fridge, coffee pot and toaster. The suite has two TVs and one DVR player. We are able to checkout DVDs from the front desk. TVs also have an HDMI connection and channel listings include HBO. The suite also features two rooms separated by a door and has an apartment feel. The living room has a roll out sofa and desk. The desk has a docking station to charge devices via USB. The bed, bath/shower, sink and closet are in the next room. I did not visit the pool. The gym is nice. It has treadmills, weights, elliptical machines and medicine balls. As a bonus, little packs of headphones are also available in case you forget yours. The laundry room has two washers and two dryers. All machines are $1.50 each (quarters). In addition, there is free wifi, free parking in the deck and a business area with a couple computers. Downsides: no safe in the room, no broom, no shuttle service. Also the staff was hit or miss. Mostly hit. I'd stay here again.

D T.

Yelp
I've stayed here twice and upon the last visit, there was a noticeable decline in cleanliness and in service. The carpet was dirty, there were missing items in the room, and the front desk clerk was less than helpful, telling me to come down and pick up missing items, even though I had been down twice before to try and correct previous issues. The evening reception and staff were the bright spots in this stay. We normally LOVE Homewood Suites, but this one wasn't up to what we normally experience.

John S.

Yelp
Check-in on arrival was easy due to checked-in online ahead of time. I had to return to have key card reissued because I couldn't get in the room. Card appeared to not have been programmed initially because door didn't acknowledge at all with red or green light. That was the only issue I had the entire stay. Dinner buffet was shrimp po-boy style sliders with green beans & macaroni and cheese. Salad bar was included romaine lettuce with feta, fruit, croutons and choice of a vinaigrette or Caesar dressing. Drinks included tea, fruit drink, wine or beer. I usually do not sleep well the first night I stay in a new place. However this was the best night of sleep I had in a hotel that I can recall. I was a little concerned about noise when I first arrived and realized it was near a medical facility. The only time I heard any sirens was the next morning after I woke. Breakfast included chicken on croissant, potatoes, fruit, yogurt, cereal, & pastries with orange juice, apple juice, water, milk, tea or coffee. Will definitely stay here again when in the area.

Yelp
We were in Huntsville visiting with family for Thanksgiving Holidays. However, the wife became very sick and had to betransported to the Huntsville Hospital for a few days. A Nurse at the Hospital told me about this hotel being close to Hospital so I wouldn't need to drive across town to our other hotel. When I went in to check for vacancies and price I met Desk Clerk Debbie who was great, very efficient, knowledgeable and understanding. I was always happy to see her at the desk in the mornings to answer any questions I might have. Even though the hotel was almost full due to a convention, she found a room, gave me a Hospital rate, and blocked the room for a week just in case my wife needed to stay in the hospital longer than expected. She made my stay much easier. The room was very nice, clean and comfortable. It had a fully equipped kitchen, ( I didn't plan on cooking, but was nice to have) along with a Dish Washer, Stove, and Refrigerator. The Hotel was clean, had a great Coffee Bar and free Breakfast. I would definitely stay here again, and recommend it to other travelers. Also, it is next to Ruth's Cris Steak house, very pricey but convenient. J Thomas Pensacola, fl

Yelp
This hotel offers a wonderful experience for travelers. I have an annual event in Huntsville every year, and I always stay here. The staff is incredibly friendly, parking is easy, it's very walkable to restaurants and a supermarket should the need arise, and is quiet. They also have a pool, and the entire property is spotless. If my travels ever take me to Huntsville, this is my go to. There's plenty within walking distance (Public, a sub shop, etc). But overall. I feel safe, the rooms are clean and immaculate, and they truly value my business.

Yelp
Love the staff! Breakfast down stairs every morning ! Beautiful rooms with kitchens! Dinner with friends during the week!! I feel comfortable

Aundrea D.

Yelp
This was the first time we have stayed at a Homewood Suites by Hilton. Mostly because I think it's more of an extended stay hotel. But it was worth checking out. I was pleasantly surprised to see how big the room or suite was! And clean! You could definitely see that they had taken extra measures to clean the room. Now they did say they put a seal on the door after it was cleaned to know that no one had been in that room since it was sanitized. But there were no seals. Not that it was a big deal because really it's not hard to slap another seal on. But they also have a breakfast sheet to fill out and return to the front desk so that we could still get a hot breakfast and take it back to our room. That was great. They also gave a list of local restaurants to order from through door dash. I loved having the full size refrigerator so we could just put the cooler in there instead of unloading it. But like I said it's more for corporate housing I believe. Even the town we stayed in was nice. Paducah Kentucky. So I totally recommend staying here if you are wanting more space and if you're a HH member.

L F.

Yelp
I stayed here again because the rooms are clean and nice, but the internet being painfully slow was not a one time issue. This is a nice hotel with friendly staff. The breakfast is... acceptable. The internet is in no way acceptable. Its difficult to believe how slow it is. If you don't need good internet, this place is sweet, if you need fast internet, avoid, avoid, avoid.

Rodney H.

Yelp
I Was immediately welcomed with a smile as I walked in! Check in was a breeze and this hotel is super clean. My room feels more like a 1 bedroom apartment rather than a hotel room and with 2 separate AC units I'll be sleeping in an igloo tonight. Happy hour has beer and wine for their guests and tonight they have chicken sandwiches and corn on the cob complementary . There are several places to grab a bite to eat within walking distance as well. They also have a big courtyard with 2 gas grills and plenty of room to hang out and relax. I've lived in hotels before while working out of state and man, if they were like this one, maybe I would have stayed longer. I will most certainly be staying here again and hopefully for more than 1 night. I'm not really sure why I'm not giving it 5 stars... I'm weird like that. Well played Homewood Suits, well played.

Darryl R.

Yelp
Typical modern Homewood Suites, which is one of my favorite chain hotels. This one is very busy due to its location 1 block from Huntsville Hospital (according to the front desk staff, they are almost always sold out). Because visiting families often overstay their reservation, our rooms were switched from king studios to double queen 1 bedroom for the same price, but unfortunately one of the switched rooms was designed as handicap accessible, which we had to get them to change (with some resistance) as it was unacceptable. My room (209) was fairly clean (a couple missed item - e.g. dirty washcloth on shower rod, something on bathroom mirror) however, they were rushing to prepare the room as I arrived at 11am, so it was understandable. Note: due to high occupancy, don't expect a room if you arrive early. The bed was comfortable (so I slept well), plenty of room, great wifi, good temperature control, and overall I was very satisfied with my stay. However, there were a couple minor issues: 1) the alarm clock was 1.5 hours early and could not be corrected. 2) the shower head was bad - the water stream was very narrow and under high pressure, so I could not stand in front of it - it felt like needles piercing my skin. 3) you could clearly hear the TV from the units on both sides of me, so not very sound proof. The breakfast and evening reception was subpar in terms of the quality and different types of food compared to other Homewood Suites I have stayed at, but what food was available was quickly replenished and staff managing the area were excellent. Typically, for the evening reception, you can usually make a meal of it, but not here where it was just snacks, with beer and wine. Note: evening reception is only Mon-Thurs. Parking is free and in a parking garage next door, shared with a Publix supermarket. There are a couple restaurants (Ruths Chris, Cajun Steamers, Taco Mama) within less than a block walking distance. We ate at Cajun Steamer and it was good. I did not use the business center or other exercise facilities, so cannot comment. Overall a good choice when visiting Huntsville Hospital.

Christina W.

Yelp
As a business traveler this was great because there was a Publix across the street so you can eat a little healthier. There are several restaurants right there too. My little suite was spacious and clean. The bathroom is a little cramped as it tends to be with Homewoods and the shower head for the walk in shower wasn't great, but those were my only complaints. Bonus- there were ceiling fans. You don't see that a lot in hotels. Friendly staff. Bed was comfortable - I'd say an 8.5 out of 10. Great lighting in the bathroom area. Meh lighting elsewhere. Overall I really liked it so I will definitely stay there again!

Yelp
Our stay itself (overall) was very pleasant, but we have been APPALLED by management's handling of a security concern. Some cash was stolen from our room; we reported this first to the hotel assistant manager, then HPD (my husband who used to work in the hospitality industry insisted on this because he's seen mismanagement before. However, this degree of mismanagement and disregard is mind blowing). Not only did the GM never contact us after I reported the incident to the assistant manager (I was assured the GM would at least call us and they would investigate), but she did not cooperate with the police investigator who was handling our case. While the manager did not blatantly "refuse" to turn over names of those who had entered our room, according to the HPD investigator, she acted surprised that they would want to speak with hotel employees and offered excuses as to how difficult it would be to catch the thief. And despite two requests by the investigator to submit names, the manager never did submit them. The investigator had to call to tell us the case is on hold because the hotel has still provided no information. Also, a lesser but odd concern: we reported this to Hilton's corporate office (and I only posted this after receiving an email describing a very passive response to my initial report, we'll be contacting them again to ensure they understand the level of our concern for the safety of guests) AND we contacted our insurance agency (because they'd been paying for our room since we were staying there because of losing our home in a fire!). After speaking with our insurance agency, they called the hotel to discover that they NEVER checked us out even though we had checked out 10 days prior! We reported the money stolen as we were leaving the hotel! They had to run the keycard to make sure we hadn't been there those 10 days before agreeing to issue a refund to our insurance. It makes one wonder, even if there was a misunderstanding, would they have not noticed a completely empty, very tidy room for TEN days? Plus we interacted with the staff and management all the time since we'd been staying there so long! Most everyone was so nice! We felt this was bizarre. We weren't after revenge for the stolen cash. We didn't even expect to see the money again, nor did we expect the thief to be caught. What we DID expect was that by reporting it, someone would think twice before stealing. We did NOT expect management's gross mishandling of the situation and dismissal of a crime. At this point, the stolen cash seems petty compared to a much graver issue that management would disregard the security of their guests and dismiss local law enforcement in order to cover for an employee. Perhaps that's not what the management was consciously thinking, but that's what actions suggest.

Lori H.

Yelp
I will have to say that the customer service at this hotel was some of the best I've ever had. Because even if other things go wrong, at least I know someone was going out of their way to make my stay as best as they could make it. From the manager, to the lovely young lady at the front desk, to the warm-hearted woman at breakfast service, and to the janitorial services, outstanding. Great attitudes as well. Everyone was so warm and friendly. The room was well stocked and clean. I would say a little more attention to detail should have been paid to things when they were constructing the building. The tiling was all messed up in the bathroom with cracking grout. It didn't really appear too inviting in that aspect. But on the other hand, the beds were very comfortable and the room was spacious. Everything was clean. I do have to say though that we could hear a lot of noise from other rooms and in the common areas. I'm not sure if it has anything to do with the insulation or what but I did notice it was somewhat bothersome. I used the gym both days we stayed and it was super clean and stocked of supplies and water. As I was working out I noticed the manager out at the pool in the freezing cold cleaning it out even though no one would be using it, which shows just how much he cares about his establishment. I thought it was awesome and I was very impressed. I think the only thing I can think of to be opposed to is when we went to dinner that was provided in the dining area. There was a large government conference so there were plenty of large men staying at the same time as us, and we apparently didn't make it early enough to dinner, because this group literally cleaned out the dinner buffet before anyone else could eat. And not only that, but they also kept on eating the food that was brought out to supplement if dinner runs out. I was so upset because I have two young kids that didn't get to eat the normal meal. The hotel kept running out of food! :-( The breakfast was great though. And the woman that works in the mornings was always so helpful when we needed something and went out of her way to get my daughter some snacks for school. This hotel also has a wonderful well-lit and large parking garage. It is located close to restaurants and shops and five points area. I would highly recommend!!

Yelp
Just made a sudden return trip to Huntsville Hospital for family member's hospitalization. Our last visit lasted 21 days and Homewood Suites Downtown provided a much needed respite. This time I was able to quickly procure accommodations; our room was promptly ready, clean and comfy. Per usual the staff went out of their way- they were professional but courteous, efficient and gracious, and showed atypical concern for my family. (Thanks Kimberly, Ashley, and Sue!!) The breakfast and evening meal was so convenient and tasty. I hope our family can return to visit under better circumstances, but thanks again Homewood Suites Downtown Huntsville for providing us a home away from home!

Yelp
Don't ever, ever stay at this Huntsville Homewood Suites Hotel on Gallatin Blvd As my wife and I rolled our suitcases through the door and up to the receptionist's desk, the clerk (young, white female with hair slicked over the right side of her face) looked at us and said, "What do you want?" in a condescending tone that we were imposing on her. There was no one else in the lobby, yet we were treated like we were bothering her. There was no, "good evening," "welcome," or "are you checking in?" Just, what do you want? She processed my credit card with no smile, pointed to the elevator and there was no, "if you need anything call me" or "have a nice stay." Just "What do you want?" Don't ever stay here as she will destroy your evening and wanting to stay at this Homewood Suites.

Yelp
We had a great 3 day stay at this Homewood Suites. Every single person there was full of southern hospitality!!

Yelp
9 month old Homewood Suites. Very nice and convenient to the Von Braun Center and downtown. Was here for the marathon. Not sure who "Donald W." spoke to but one alleged bad interaction with a clerk does not merit a 1 star review. For travelers who frequent the Hilton properties, this is an excellent one.

Yelp
We were charged an additional $250 for my husband bringing his cigar in (that was out) while we were loading our car. Because the hotel maid took a picture of ashes, (where apparently the cigar was laid down by the coffee cup) but had been snuffed out. Because we left ashes in the room it cost us $250 which is not stated anywhere in their policy, anemities or anywhere else. We donated to a couple of venues going on downtown and were quite disappointed. was also disappointed with the fact that the commons area to get coffee was a disaster!! Went down at 4:30 to get coffee, no coffee to be found, no sugar in the room, no packets of sugar to take back to the room, dirty towels laying around in commons area where the coffee and condiments should be, dirty cups etc, as well as spilt food on the counter that appeared to be from the night before. I am still disputing the additional charge, could not get a call back or email until I got the "survey" email........quite a disappointment.

Yelp
Fantastic hotel in a great location. All of the staff was extremely friendly, helpful, and went out of their way to make sure our stay was great. The rooms are new and very nice. The outdoor pool and BBQ area was a great place to relax. You can't beat the free breakfast and manager's reception in the evening! Will definitely stay there again and recommend it to all my friends and colleagues.

Yelp
Beginning my 3rd consecutive week stay at Homewood Suites, as I have a family member in CCU at Huntsville Hospital. This hotel and particularly the staff have made this grim experience bearable. From the kind reception during my initial tentative reservation (while awaiting CCU bed to open up), to the warm greetings, inquiries, and words of encouragement offered each time I entered the lobby at literally all hours of the night, the staff here provide exemplary customer service. The rooms are clean, new, immaculate. Housekeeping has been gracious and accommodating to our irregular schedules. The dining staff ( especially sweet Sue) provide excellent meals included with the room price; staff greet each guest and circulate to ensure all needs are met. Clean laundry facilities are on site. Publix is conveniently located, just feet away- I have enjoyed meals and snacks in the room's furnished kitchen. Several great restaurants are in short walking distance.
