Hey y’all! Me and my family spent thanksgiving week and enjoyed every bit! The rooms were clean and the service was great! We wake up early w my toddler so having breakfast at 6:30am perfect! Michelle at the front desk was always friendly and ready to help out. I left a bag full of items in the lobby and housekeeping and Virginia were nice to get it back to me. They have a social on Wednesday which was great after a day w a toddler. I really wish I got all of the valet gentleman’s and ladies names because they were on time! Never had a long wait and were very friendly! Being in the city can be overwhelming but homewood suites was comfortable the entire time. ❤️ 10000/10

Although this hotel was quite busy during our stay, we were very well taken care of and all of our needs and requests were met by either Michelle, Virginia, or Taylor at the front desk. We found the hotel, along with our room, to be clean and our bed was very comfortable. Each morning the breakfast was tasty and we thoroughly enjoyed the Wednesday evening social hour. You have to have your key card to enter the hotel and I felt safe there, however, we are older and we were not out late at night so I can’t speak for any late night safety concerns there. If you are older, or have mobility issues, I would request a room near the elevator as this hotel is pretty good size. The red streetcar line has a stop right outside the front. St. Louis Cemetery #1 is located behind the hotel. This hotel is on N. Rampart which is the northern border of the French Quarter, which makes strolling through and around the French Quarter a breeze. There was a valet parking attendant out front and a concierge inside in the lobby. We had a wonderful experience and would definitely stay here again!

I was very happy with my stay here. Very clean and stylish hotel with many positives. Breakfast was delicious, security was good, and plenty of parking. The only problem I had, and this could just be me, was the bed; it felt firmer than I like. The pillows were lumpy. Other than this, the room was wonderful.

My family and I previously stayed at this location,so we decided to again for my birthday trip. This establishment hasn't failed us yet. Upon arrival Ms Michelle greeted us with a smile. Her calm demeanor was welcoming after a long trip. Joe, the valet associate( although he didn't valet our vehicle) was very welcoming and personable during our interactions. The hotel is a block from Bouburn street. I would definitely recommend this location if you don’t want to stay within the French Quarters or canal street.

Google
The location is great! Near St. Louis cemetery no.1, storyville museum and less than .5 to Preservation Hall. It's accessible along with a nice Wednesday night social. The staff has been wonderful from Taylor at the front desk on our checkin, to getting us squared away for laundry, package retrieval and over all niceness and great customer service. Excellent Em asset to the Homewood Suites family! I will come back here and stay especially for service like hers. She's wonderful along with the older woman who worked to cover part of my co-worker's shift on her birthday. I believe her last name is Griffin/Griffith. One last mention- Caroline was a true delight as a concierge! She was enthusiastic on her recommendations along with her genuine interest in making sure we had the best time here. We loved the Storyville museum as well as the other events she found for us.

Google
I very much enjoyed our stay at the Homewood. The breakfast was very good, they had a weds night free wine night (tipping expected). The room was large and spacious. There was a funny smell that lingered which I assume was carpet cleaner from being used as a pet room. It was strong enough for us to go get a spray to cover it. I would definitely stay here again though and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Google
I recently stayed at Homewood Suites while visiting New Orleans, and the front desk attendee Ms. K.Taylor made my stay even better. She was warm, welcoming, and went out of her way to make sure I had everything I needed. Her local recommendations were spot on — especially the bar suggestions in the French Quarter. Each spot she mentioned had great drinks, atmosphere, and that true New Orleans charm. It’s rare to meet someone so knowledgeable and genuinely kind at check-in. She set the tone for the whole trip with her hospitality. I really appreciated her professionalism and friendly energy — definitely made me feel at home away from home.

Google
Room was clean on arrival. Front desk staff wonderfully friendly and helpful. Rooms are only serviced every 2 days though, so you may need to ask for extra towels and such. Breakfast is good but the coffee pots in the room are outdated to say the least.

Yelp
so they added a parking fee when I had no car . room basic like 3 hrs rooms back in buck actually a little worse . old lady tries to scam you and be nice at the same time . As I Ny tried to give her the benefit of the doubt peeping her game . didn't want to be pre judgmentAl. Sorry but the crowd and the local orange cat saved you . I didn't expect much from this location and honestly came for the ghosts . But actually it was the best sleep I had in ages. Light stood on the whole night . Maybe the ghosts knew I was cool cause I axkn them and stated my intentions. FYI I stood next to the "haunted " room . If the lady didn't try to scam me . Rave reviews .

Yelp
Omg, where do I start? 1. Aweful breakfast, poor selection and even that wasn't consistent. Rude service when you ask for anything. 2. Don't bother call the front desk or trying to have your vehicle brought up - 4 days and they never answered. 3. Room service only every other day 4. Pool water extremely cloudy, cannot see the bottom, no pool towels 5. Disgustingly dirty carpet 6. Terrible mattress - very uncomfortable!! 7. Temperature/thermostat issues, it seems to be on its own separate program 8. Though not Hilton's fault, noisy with kids running through the halls. 9. They did have good maitre'd and luggage/vehicle service 10. I really like having the separate bedroom, but the layout should've been better so you don't have to walk around the master be to reach the bathroom if you're sleeping on the couch If they'd at least answered the phone, some of the issues such as limited bedding and towels could be easily resolved. Doubt that I'll stay at another Homewood Suites by Hilton

Yelp
Nice enough hotel. But we specifically looked all over for a hotel with a pool. Paid 50 dollars to check in early so we could get some drinks and sit by the pool. Pool is closed. For construction. But nothing is going on. Just taped off. Talk to the front desk and she just stares at me blankly. Ppl work hard for their money. You're lucky we spend it here. To be treated like .. oh well go F#%£ yourself really puts a sour spin on my vacation, Now I'm here for another day and just get a room. Customers should be made aware of things like this.

Yelp
Nice suites, extremely poor service. Concerns started immediately at check-in when the front desk clerk explained they'd be charging our card $1,400. After 10 minutes of confusion and frustration we determined it was the usual $300 deposit and a hold. Very poorly done. There's no housekeeping to speak of. See pic. Even after we requested housekeeping, it still didn't happen. A frustrating night/day of no clean towels or face towels. On the plus side, the valet was responsive with some clean towels. The pool was clean and refreshing- though postage stamp size. The breakfast buffet was good if you get there in time. And extremely conviently located just across the street of the French Quarter. It's a good thing we asked the valet for a roll of toilet paper- it had been left almost empty upon our arrival and we quickly ran out. Tip: request a courtyard room overlooking the pool away from the street traffic.

Yelp
Michelle absolutely made the stay worth while...She was very friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable to where the Stay in New Orleans was confident and a good experience. Michelle has excellent customer service and was available with patience.

Yelp
Where to start... The windows and the the room we were assigned were so filthy, you could barely see out of them. There was no room service available. My wife became trapped in a walk-in glass shower stall, which she could not open from the inside due to a faulty door mechanism. The hinges were falling apart. and showed them neglect that the entire hotel appears to suffer from. She had to be rescued by the maintenance staff. It's a good thing I could hear her banging on the shower stall rather than her being alone. Think about that one. Other than the lobby area, the halls and rooms, (we had two rooms because we were moved due to the noise from the street) were dingy and unkempt. This hotel looks like it should've had a refurbishment about 50 years ago. For the money paid, one should expect the facility to be clean and in working order. Unfortunately, that was not the case at the Royal Sonata. They hotel staff were responsive and reasonable. They air conditioning worked well. Bottom line... if you're thinking about staying at the New Orleans Royal Sonesta hotel...don't.

Yelp
As a travel agent here were some of the huge issues. Client arrived to find room not ready an hour after check-in. Missing linens and towels; no fitted sheet for pull-out couch in both rooms. Phone didn't work; had to go downstairs repeatedly. Balcony door didn't lock, hair found in breakfast and bed, stained pillows, food in couch, broken window guard, loud shower drip. Room keys failed multiple times; maintenance confirmed lock issue. Poor service and unsanitary conditions throughout stay.

Yelp
We had a group event and then had a horrendous time with getting everyone their rooms that were already pre booked and tried to send one of the families with children away to a different hotel at 9pm at night. One of the rooms mold was found in the shower/bathroom area, and when we went to checkout they had charged random amounts to multiple people and charged the wrong cards (my card almost 9K for the whole group when I asked just to be charged for my room & valet). I HIGHLY suggest not staying here!! Had this been my first time to NOLA I would never come back. We got the run around on the phone for over 2 hours getting transferred and then no manager was available once I noticed the wrong charge, and we already had left the state, and there is still no resolution even after calling corporate. This makes me want to never stay at a Hilton again including for work travel. I am highly disappointed and disgusted in the customer service at this location for front desk wise! The food and room were okay. I highly suggest retraining for Jordan and the team at this location.... The whole weekend we were dealing with other issues at the hotel. This ruined the whole experience of NOLA and the wedding weekend. Hilton if you're reading this remove y'all's name because this establishment isn't Hilton worthy.

Yelp
I am currently staying at this hotel. Here are the issues: -They changed my room type the day of arrival from a two room RI shower accessibility suite to a hearing accessible studio. Very big difference. -My wheelchair will not fit even to get into the bathroom. -They said I would be charged the same price even though it is half the room and not what I booked. -I was told basically that I'd just have to deal with it but maybe later in the week they could get us into the room type we actually have booked (for several months now). -Their solution was they would be happy to just go ahead and cancel our reservation (during Jazzfest). -I'm told there's no manager on duty to discuss this with. -Hilton member services was useless. They pointed me back to the manager at the hotel. See previous point. -Other disappointing features include a very mediocre breakfast, rude staff, the "courtyard view" is laughable, and no welcome gift for Diamond given. I am shocked how I've been treated at this hotel. We're still waiting for a solution to this. It has now taken my first and second day of this vacation. I don't get to vacation much since my medical issue came about. This is just horrible because I love this city so much. I'll update the review should they address this but I'm not holding my breath.

Yelp
I did NOT have a great experience there for several reasons: 1. When we walking to our room the hallway on the 3rd floor smelt HORRIBLE! 2. There was smeared dog poop through out the carpet. Immediately told the front desk who said they were short of staff. After the 2nd day we requested to move our room in which they did. 3. The next night around 2/2:30am we walked in the lobby to find the front desk crying and upset because the whole system shut down and no one who used electronic key could get in their room. After numerous unsuccessful attempts to reach a manager there were 2 guests who tried to assist but to no avail. 4. The new room (227) had white/blonde hair all over the carpet and on the bottom of the comforter which indicates no one vacuumed that room. Needless to say I bought this to the front desk attention and asked if they could send someone to vacuum, eventually it took 2 days in which I was upset. NEVER AGAIN! When asked if they were a franchise or a real Hilton I was told a franchise, which explains it. This is/was NOT the Hilton experience we were use to and highly disappointe. I really wish I could get a refund OR partial! I do have pics and videos as proof and will try to upload them. The dates we were there were June 19-24th 2024.

Yelp
I stayed at the Homewood Suites by Hilton in the French Quarter, and I was extremely disappointed with my experience. It was so bad that I ended up switching to the Hilton Garden Inn mid-trip--and the difference was like night and day. My biggest regret is not booking the Hilton Garden Inn first. From the moment I walked into Homewood Suites, I noticed a terrible smell that lingered throughout the hotel and in my room. The room itself was rundown and poorly maintained. The bathroom floor was dirty, there was hair in the sink, and the shower was rusted. The sheets were scratchy, wouldn't stay on the bed, and the mattress was an uncomfortable spring mattress that felt ancient. The problems didn't stop there. The power went out in my room because of a blown fuse. When I ran out of toilet paper and called the front desk for assistance, no one ever showed up. To top it off, the toilet nearly overflowed after every flush. It was clear that cleanliness and service were not priorities at this hotel. After moving to the Hilton Garden Inn, it was a completely different experience--clean, comfortable, and up to Hilton's usual standards. I wish I had booked there from the beginning. Homewood Suites in the French Quarter needs serious improvements. I wouldn't recommend staying here until they address these issues. Save yourself the trouble and book somewhere else!

Yelp
Our stay was definitely a mixed bag of pros and cons. In the spirit of positivity, I'm going to start with the pros before moving into things that could be improved. Pros: The Location-at the edge of the French Quarter so you can pretty much walk almost anywhere you want to go in this section of town. New Orleans is like any large city: attempting to address homelessness, violence, and community mental health. However, I never felt unsafe at the hotel. I will say, if you want a hotel in the middle of the action to look elsewhere as this hotel is a bit removed from the chaos and camaraderie. This is a positive for us, though. Breakfast-solid with rotating options daily. Hot and cold options available. Hotel was accessible and easy to find and navigate. Room was spacious and as reported on the website. No issues with it overall despite housekeeping (listed below). Cons: Housekeeping- the signage in the room is not correct. You have to personally request housekeeping and they will only come in after 24 hrs. The sign in the room states every other day. This is not correct! Also, they only provided three towels and we had to frequently request more and more toilet paper for our 5 night stay. Staff- was hit or miss. There were some absolutely great staff members we interacted with. But, we had some initial issues. These were resolved but overall the customer service could best be described as pretty passive and kind of "whatever". Nobody really went above and beyond. Staff could be heard complaining about guests in common areas. It overall was kind of a strange stay for a chain hotel. The typical chain hotel things weren't really provided and it felt more "local" or like a family run hotel. That could be a positive for you, but I would say it wasn't really a standard chain hotel experience.

Yelp
THE GOOD STUFF: I got here SUPER early (10:30 am) and figured I would ask if they could hold my bags until check in time (3pm). Instead, the receptionist checked and there was a room available for me. I thought it was wonderful that I didn't have to wait and the receptionist was just lovely. The sink in the room didn't seem to be working correctly. I let them know and they had it fixed within the hour. I thought that was great! The rooms do not come with hairdryers, but when we asked for one, we got one very quickly. THE NOT SO GOOD STUFF: The hotel could use a good scrubbing. The floor in the elevator, especially the corners, has caked up dirt. Also, there was some huge bug/roach in the hallway which completely grossed me out. The room felt damp, especially the carpet. The curtains in the room were broken and did not move. This meant we could not block out the sun in the morning. The water pressure in the shower was terrible. I still don't know if I got the conditioner out of my hair. :) It was a last-minute reservation. I don't think I would stay here again if I had other options.

Yelp
The bed was comfortable. People at the front desk are friendly. For $200 a night it is one of the lower cost stays. First impression of room is the dirty track in the gray carpet. For a newer building things were off. At 6pm house keeping had piles of dirty sheets in the hallway. Pool was green.

Yelp
I chose this Hilton property to use points over New Year's eve weekend and still paid over $400 plus another $140 in parking fees and tips. Our suite was fine, nothing special. They have a weird shower where the glass is sealed on one side so you get shot with ice cold water upon stepping into the shower, very unpleasant. The worst part of staying there is the location, we were almost hit by a car pulling out of the FQ, when we protested the woman pulled a gun on us, drove down the street and fought us with a knife injuring my husband. It shook us up to say the least. The hotel is near a Covenant House shelter, a Catholic Church that feeds the homeless and on Rampart on the outskirts of the French Quarter. They keep the doors locked, need a room key to enter the premises for obvious reasons. Do not stay at this property, it's not safe.

Yelp
Wish I read these reviews instead of going off of TripAdvisor which was mostly positive...terrible attitude from front desk. Waited hours for room / even though Diamond Member...and yes the racial thing is absolutely on point. Witnessed it myself...

Joey E.

Yelp
I rarely leave reviews but Hilton should be looking for new management at this location. For starters, I came in to hotel at 10 AM to let them know we had arrived early and if we could get in our room earlier than four, that would be awesome. She took my name and number said she would call me when the room was ready never received a call. we arrived at 4:15 to find out the room was still not ready and that she forgot to tell the new shift manager about me coming in early. I sat in the lobby till 6 PM with other angry customers waiting on a room. The lady at the desk kept telling other customers that there was no manager on duty and telling me also I said there has to be a manager on duty and I demanded to see one instantly within one minute a manager comes out from the office behind the desk and finally gets me in a room. The room was nice and clean just a moldy ceiling in the bathroom. on the second day, we had trouble with the air conditioner. The temperature would not get below 77° during the daytime. They came to look at it and said there was nothing they could do. They would bring us a fan, but one never came. breakfast was OK. They were just running out of plates and utensils. Had to stand there and wait. My daughter came down at 9:30. All of the food was gone very little left. They said they were not replenishing it because it was too late. I believe the most unprofessional issue that I had was. I was waiting for some towels at the front desk and the front desk clerk was on the phone with a customer complaining when she gets off the phone. She proceed to tell another customer about the angry customer and wish they would not complain so much. This is totally unprofessional to discuss complaints with customers while they are standing at the front counter. Stay at Hilton a lot but never again there. need new management.

Yelp
Several things could improve. First the pullout bed had no sheets on it. We asked for a set of sheets and they never came. It was late and we couldnt wait any longer so one of us just slept on the couch. We kept having to call and ask for towels. Sometimes they would bring them and sometimes we had to call again because no one showed. The breakfast was not great. Eggs didn't look like real eggs and the sausages were dried out. We had no choice but to stay here for our stay and play volleyball tournament. Next time we will opt out or find something better. The only thing that we did enjoy was the coffee.

Yelp
To all yelpers, Beware for the staff trying to RIPOFF you . This place should train their accounting/front desks for customer service and manners. Our final receipt has random charges that is not accurate. 1. valet parking + Tax - we don't use car there. 2. Laundry deposits charge (This supposed to be pending charges, But in someway they billed us saying we don't return the laundry cards back - which is also wrong) 3. + $4 laundry bills It's absolutely aggravating, infuriating experinces for us also to clear out this inaccurate charges. First, I called Hotel acct depts and left voice mail, I also try to emailed their accounting depts but still no further action from them. Secondly, I managed to get hold with Hilton guest relations only to get some vague answers to clear it directly with Hotel staff, since what they see on their end is only the final invoices. I had to call my cc company and filed a claim, just last week I was finally able to speak with 1 of their frontdesks member, she put me on brief holds and just say " Yes, mam, I will clear this charge - No "sorry, we messed it up and take much of your time for you to chase down our internal error ", I then said " Thank you" and asks her to also waived the $4 laundry charges on that same invoices as my compensation; To my surprise, she started to yell and accused me as a ransack that seek to get a free service, she then hang off on me after I'm in the middle of talk tried to justify my points that it's a significant inconvenience on my ends also so it just seems fair for me to asks for small discounts. I feel absolutely mortified, disgraceful and outrageous with this hotel. Never in my life, I will ever go back to this place or suggest hilton homewood suites Nola to people that I know. If you must stay here, my advice will be PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE observe every single details on your stay at this place, MAKE SURE you scrutinize your final bills and handled it before you leave.

Yelp
This hotel and their security racially profile guests. Went to meet a colleague in the lobby and notice security having a conversation about myself and peer . Later security comes over to where we are sitting and ask credentials for hotel . Didn't question the nearly full lobby of Asian and Caucasian guest . Asked for general manager and some unkept gentlemen comes out with no apologies and looks like someone should have questioned whether he should be in the hotel .

Allue E.

Yelp
When we arrived we had to carry our luggage upstairs because no one was at the door. All of our pillows were soil (yellow stains). I personally asked housekeeping to replace them but that didn't happen. There was dust buildup behind the nightstands. I had to remove the sink stopper from the sink for the water to drain in bathroom. I found a can behind the couch. The laundry room had only one washer and two dryers working the others were out of order. There was hair and mold or stains below the shower doors. There was no courtyard view but a view of a wall. This place is not worth the money.

Yelp
Went to park on the street in front of this hotel. There's only a sign that designates no parking Thursdays for street cleaning. The woman valet cursed us out. And threatened she'd have us towed and to "fing try it and find out." She was incredibly nasty and rude.
google avatar

Dayna B.

Yelp
Pre-paid for 4 nights in advance direct on the Hilton site. We had a late flight and arrived at the hotel to check in around 1:45am. There were no rooms available. The receptionist had asked one of the staff/security on duty to check inside at least 12 rooms and all were either dirty or occupied (do not disturb hanging on the door). After about an hour of waiting for them to check each room, she informed us we would have to be transferred to another hotel. They did cover the cost for the taxi and overnight, however we were so disappointed and frustrated over this, we canceled our stay and decided to book somewhere else that ended up costing us more.

Yelp
It's a decent hotel in French Quarter. Pretty safe cuz you can't even open the building doors without a room key card. Food isn't very impressive, but at least they try to diversify everyday...

Yelp
Checked into hotel late around 9:30 Pm /10:00pm walked into room it smelt like marijuana and other foul odor. The pull out bed from the couch was broken, the furniture was ripped, dust was on the walls and thick amounts behind the night stands. The bathroom Floor had ashes from weed or cigarettes, nose ring, Bobby pin, and other dust and dirt. The room was clearly not cleaned or mopped for who knows how long and the room next to me stated whoever stayed the night before the smoke came from their room to there's. When complaint was made about my room they said they had no cleaners and offered to come up to clean when the staff arrived she said the room was disgusting and needed to be put out of service. I was offered a room but not a suite as I booked without a discount I checked out and stated I wanted a full refund and waited why they called tech support while she was on tech support she threw down the phone and stated I can't do this and walked away for a few minutes she was upset she had to go through this disregarding the fact is just traveled hours with a one year old, 3 year old and a 11 year old and didn't have a place to stay leaving but was frustrated she had to do more work because of how GROSS my room was that she stated was disgusting. Also puke was observed on the floor coming off the 4 th floor elevator which was observed to be hours or days old when staff informed they stated that's nasty I ain't cleaning that.

Yelp
First interaction: Pulled up to the valet parking lot and waited for attendant to show up, they didn't my other half went looking for them she found three of them just chatting with each other. She then had to go find a cart to carry up our stuff. They finally came over and checked the truck and gave us the ticket. The did not great us they did not have a smile, nor did they even seem happy to be there. Not a good start. Second interaction: Walked up to the desk, yet again no greeting, no smile and just asked for my name. I asked what the view was they just pointed at the map not answering the question asked so I asked again they then pointed at the map where my room was located. The theme of not being polite or event helpful seemed to follow us inside. I grabbed my keys and headed up to our room. The room looked clean oddly there were only 3 pillows on the bed. The view was looking over St Louis Cemetary #1 and was nice from the window close to the bed. I then tried the shade on the window by the couch, it was so messed up could not even move it, off the track and the cloth bundled up in the roller. Two of the lights did not work in the room and the light switch for the kitchen was next to the front door. After a long trip (10 hour drive from Florida) I headed in to use the restroom. To my surprise the door would not close I finally learned that you had to lift up on the handle to close the door which then made a very loud bang when it finally closed. Also, there were no exhaust fan or ventilation in the restroom. Third interaction: Went for breakfast, we were ready for the hot breakfast... This didn't happen the eggs and sausage we had were cold. The staff at the breakfast were visibly not happy. My other half was getting utensils and one of the workers trying to stock (which should have been done before guests were eating) threw a box on the floor literally at her feet. Fourth interaction: I had a question about the valet and tried to call the front desk 3 or 4 times with no answer at all. Fifth interaction: Checkout, the front desk person was at the atm, then she said she was not the morning person and could not help me. Would NOT recommend and will never go back.

Yelp
Decent hotel with free breakfast and the service was good. The sofa bed mattress was thin that I can feel the springs on my tail bone. I have to asked for extra linens&blankets to layer the mattress.

Yelp
We stayed at the Roami hotels at Canal st. on week of Oct. 22-25, the week of the Taylor Swift concert at the Superdome. Our stay was mostly negative. We stayed at room next to the building that housed a tattoo business on the lower level and boarded up on the upper levels. The rooms were clean and had a full kitchen. The kitchen and the studio bedroom was very narrow, but the bathroom was very large. The main issues were the very, very loud music noise that always started at 11pm and never ended until early morning. The music came from next door and it had to be an illegal club because the noise was so loud that it reverberated in out room as as all the other rooms. I spoke with another guest and they said that did not sleep for 2 nights. Thank God we brought our ear plugs that slightly minimize the noise. JUST IMAGINE sleeping in a room right next to a music club with music blaring all night long. Second issue was that the hotel was only 3 blocks from the beginning of Bourbon st., but Canal st is a place where the homeless and shady people frequent. We did not like that a drug dealer was sitting right outside the entrance door everyday. definitely will not be staying at this location next time. Pro: Hotel has full kitchen and large bedroom. Clean room 3 blocks away from Bourbon st. 2 blocks away from All the streetcar routes (beginning of the St. Charles route so you'll get a seat on the streetcar). Lots of CVS and Walgreens around. Close to the Superdome Cons: Be prepared for constant and super loud music noise from next door Narrow area for bed (stubbed my toes a few times on the bed post) Sketchy area right outside with people sitting outside the entrance.

Yelp
I'm traveling from Los Angeles got an early flight. Emailed the hotel to see if they could accommodate us with an early check in. Check in was at 4 I believe. We get to the hotel at 2pm. We were tired from the flight. We ended up getting the room at 3:45pm. No accommodation whatsoever. We get to the room turn on the AC but it didn't sound like it was on so we told housekeeping manager out in the hallway. She said she would contact maintenance but maintenance never came.. the AC did work indeed it gave me the sense that they didn't care if it worked or not. The room was decent and clean. The free breakfast didn't have much variety, mostly the same every day. A receptionist was very rude at night when we asked if there was coffee. Other hotels always have coffee in the lobby. Her attitude was unacceptable and unexpected since everyone one was nice and professional. The guys from valet were so awesome every single one of them. I don't really think I would stay here again and I don't think I would recommend my friends and family staying here.

Yelp
If visiting New Orleans again, I would stay here. The hotel is very convenient to many areas within the city. All of the employees were friendly. There's a pool and fitness center (they're ok). Here are some of my other pros and cons: Pros: -Location - Quick walk to French Quarter, Treme, Jackson Square, and short ride to other areas. -The hotel is clean and the 3rd floor smelled amazing! -The employees are all very friendly & helpful. -Breakfast. It's not 5 star breakfast but its there if you want it. 6:30-9:30 (M-F) & 7-10 (Sa-Su). Cons: -Where are/were the towels?! I waited all week. First there were no towels available, then I couldn't get the number of sets I needed, then there were no wash cloths. Magically, on Friday, towels were available! -The laundry room required a laundry card to use but you have to get the laundry card from the front desk (IF they have anymore available) and NOBODY TELLS YOU THIS!! Why not accept quarters or have laundry cards available in the laundry room. Be sure to return the card or its a $20 fee (which they also didnt tell me until I asked, later, if I needed to return it). -The shower is not Black hair friendly. Only 1 side of the shower door moves and its the side furthest from the shower handle. So you have to reach into the shower, to turn it on, and the water comes at you immmediately. I was not able to adjust our showerhead down to a spot where I wasnt getting wet when I turned on the water, to warm it up. The patio/pool are on the second floor and there are a good number of rooms on the second floor whose windows are eye-level with them (Just something to be aware of).

Yelp
Came in for Bayou Classic Thanksgiving weekend. This Homewood is my preferred location when staying in the French Quarters. I didn't interact much with the front desk as I completed my check in via the app. However, valet could use some tweaking. They lacked visibility and there was no signage to compensate for that lack. Upon checking out t 5am, there were no valet attendants visible nor signs with instructions. My husband assumed it was due to time and that there weren't any attendants. So, he goes into the garage to get our vehicle. An older gentleman then barrels down the lobby stairs and begins to fuss at my grown husband as if he's a child. He then states " you can't just walk up here, you have to go to the desk and ask for valet " He also says " I'm not sitting out here ( an inside garage) all night". He attitude was gruffy with a hint of laziness. We don't mind "following directions " but, they need to clear and visible. Valet are the last people we see leaving a hotel and the first to see when arriving. Impressions mean EVERYTHING

Yelp
Stayed here last month and other than the location, I don't have much to say about this place. The location is good, easy walk to the French quarter, and quieter than being right in the middle of the quarter. It was me and my two sisters sharing one room. The bedding is ridiculous. The pullout couch was so uncomfortable, we took the mattress out and slept with it on the floor. The bedding that came with it was shameful. Hilton needs to replace every tatty blanket in this hotel. We called for new blankets. They brought three different blankets and all were stained and had rough patches like they had been scorched. We used the best one out of the terrible bunch. The carpet in the hallways is gross and needs replacing. It's nice they have breakfast, but it ends too early and gets really crowded.

Yelp
Stayed here 4 days during Mardi Gras. The hotel staff were amazing, especially front desk and valet crew. Only complaints for me were the bedding (sheets, comforter and mattress cover) had stains and the lack of towels while I stayed. Enjoyed the stay, would consider here again.

Yelp
Update: I ended up sleeping on the couch the first night and sheets still had not been changed by 5:00 pm the next day. After yet another phone call, someone arrived to change out the bedding at 5:30 pm on day two of my stay.

Yelp
We booked this room with jet blue points so I think we got what we paid for.... The hotel is right in the middle of ALL the French Quarter action! Bourbon street on one side, Decatur on the other. Room was clean enough, the Bourbon O Bar looked super nice with live music. Jaquan at the front desk was awesome. All staff were nice and friendly. Our room was super tiny with a view of a stucco wall. The bed was ok, nice size TV , and large closet. A wooden slat on the window covering was broken, the bathroom faucet leaked until it actually broke, the middle drawer in the tiny set of drawers was broken, and the mini fridge couldn't have been any more mini. The painted wall in the bathroom had old condensation drips; a wipe down was clearly needed. We had to ask for more toilet paper even though the room had just been cleaned. Really??????

Yelp
Chose this hotel for vacation July 19-22, based on location & superb reviews on hotels.com, but we were overall disappointed. Definitely not the Hilton quality that we are familiar with. We also looked forward to the hot Buffett breakfast & the evening reception time 5-7pm on Monday to Thursday (which didn't exist). Check in was ok, we got there at 10:30pm, so it was slow time. During our stay, we saw long lines for check in during the day with only 1 staff. We only got 2 towels, asked for 2 more on Monday morning & told that the truck to bring more towels hadn't arrived. We didn't get our towels until day 3 when I asked again. Breakfast was ok, 3 hot items - potatoes, sausages, & eggs. They only had yogurt the 1st morning then they supposedly ran out the rest of the time & ONLY served WHOLE MILK every single morning. For bread item, they had ONLY bagels with cream cheese, butter, jelly, & nothing else. Fruits were bananas & oranges x 2 days, oranges only x 2 days, oranges & limited cut-up fruits on one morning. Additional items were oatmeal, except on 1 morning. THERE WAS NO EVENING RECEPTION (snacks & drinks), that's mentioned in their website & they don't tell you this. On positive note, the breakfast staff lady was super friendly. The pool was small & narrow between the hotel buildings, so it doesn't get much sun. There are grills by the pool. Pool towels were limited to 2-3 on the shelf, except last day. The concierge staff were mostly helpful. One lady who was there the 1st 2 days was very knowledgeable about public transportation. The older guy was more generous with discounts & special offers. We liked for the kitchen & full-sized fridge, but no general grocery store nearby, other than drug stores. I enjoyed the gym the most! It is definitely more than adequate for a full work out. If you're looking for a place closer, walking distance to attractions, public transportation, & the riverwalk, this is NOT the hotel for you.

Yelp
I write my reviews as a person that doesn't want anything but kind courteous service, prompt service without attitude and I'm giving a positive rating Great service, clean, smoke free rooms, quiet pool area, also has a fitness room. This hotel us very close to the French Quarters, I'd definitely stay here again.

Yelp
There was a young African American male employee who cleans the breakfast area approach us in a hostile manner screaming and cursing at me and my family because we was sitting there in the evening and he wanted because we was in the location he wanted to clean. It was a very unnerving and disrespectful situation. Another employee had to intervene and remove him. I was there for a Reunion this happened July 27th. This experienced over shadowed. Housekeeping was OK and the Continental breakfast service was excellent. There was difficulty with billing there was clarity in what was the charges was incorrectly billing me.Iver all I would not stay at this hotel again or recommend it.

Yelp
The room was fine but not up to the typical Homewood standard. Breakfast was unacceptable (overcooked eggs, hard pancakes, greasy meat). Bagels had mild spots. They only had coffee during breakfast (otherwise closed). We had to ask for laundry bags, only 2 towels for 3 people. Staff served breakfast but were on their homes, chatting with each other and otherwise annoyed. I wouldn't stay here again. We liked the pool (though towels not stocked). We also liked the pool table. Bathroom on main floor was out of order the entire time.

Yelp
This is a lovely hotel and I'm glad we stayed here. Highly recommend for couples, families, and solo travelers! Pros: - location: not even a ten-minute walk from everything. - free breakfast til 9:30am (various styles of eggs, oatmeal, fruit, bagels, muffins, yogurt, coffee, tea, granola, ham, bacon, sausage, etc) - water all day by the elevators - toiletries include Neutrogena shampoo, conditioner, soap, lotion, and makeup remover - clean, updated, and huge rooms - extremely affordable rates - very friendly and professional staff - evening socials with appetizers - gym, pool, and courtyard on the second floor, where we stayed - concierge with lots of tour options, coupons, and help - microwave and kettle in the room Cons: - $40/day for parking - some minor night noises from the walls or door that woke me up, but may have been drunk people outside - not a big deal, but have to use your card to get into the hotel and elevators at night; understandable, though.

Yelp
Great location. Close enough to Bourbon St and within walking distance of many restaurants and bars. Nice comfortable rooms. Valet parking. There's a small pool and fitness center. Breakfast was good with something for everyone. Security features were nice, You must use a key to use the elevators. The room was quiet. We enjoyed staying here. The hotel does not have a bar, but there are plenty of them nearby. It does have a little shop fo necessities. The staff was very professional and efficient. I found the people here are approachable and eager to help their guests with anything they need. I would stay again!

Yelp
Room was clean (to start) and comfortable. Staff appeared to be helpful and courteous (keep reading). HOWEVER: BREAKFAST was awful! In a city that prides itself in its food, their rubber eggs and dried out sausage just won't do. Further, they served the same thing each morning. Plus you needed tickets to eat, which we didn't receive until the second day SERVICE. Our room didn't get serviced the first two days of our stay. We asked and were told that we needed to request towels, trash, etc. So, we requested service and was told "they would try to get to it" by the manager! STAFF: They appeared to be helpful and accommodating, but whenever we asked for something, we got excuses or helplessness even from the manager. While this hotel had a nice room, the positives pretty much stop there. For a Hilton hotel, this place is disappointing.

Yelp
Room wasn't ready at 4pm as stated for check in, asked to wait with no time frame given as to when we could check in. Only realised a room was ready for us when I got notification on my phone my card had been charged. Room location was changed without prior approval from us, why have the option to select a room if your selection is changed without your consent. Asked for a discount on our first night due to our room not being ready was told I already got a good rate. Yes I had a good rate because I had earned my points. Not an acceptable answer.

Yelp

Yelp
Great location just a short 0.2 mile walk to Bourbon Street. Very friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms. Breakfast buffet plentiful and hot with a dining room with lots of seating.

Yelp
Front desk staff leaves a lot to be desired. He acted as though he was out of it. As a card holder I was placed into not the best room during dead season. The desk clerk kept avoiding the woman in front of myself question about parking instead tried talking her into $50 valet when there is $10 garage next door ish. You cannot get into the hotel without pressing a buzzer or the elevator. Plaster is peeling from the ceiling which happens but should be repaired given what this place charges. Desk staff did not provide any information about wifi breakfast etc, just on auto pilot even charging cards without saying what it was for. Staff not that concerned about a hole in the ceiling that makes me concerned for cameras and liability. Was just told I won't be liable...an electrician did shotty work and left an electrical box hole in the ceiling...at least from what I can tell. I shined a light up in it hoping there's no camera....trying to get anything from housekeeping because your room is missing it is a complete NIGHTMARE. Waiting over 4hrs and no show
