Honest Chocolate Cafe - Cape Town City Centre

This place is ridiculously amazing!! It’s like Willy wonkas chocolate factory but holistic and authentic. It was so amazing! The chocolate cake was genuinely the best one I’ve ever had and this salted caramel and nut tart was heavenly. The brownie was super stodgy, as it should be and the cookie was so cute. And hot chocolate, we got the short one, it’s intense and not sweet so at first I didn’t love but then once it cooled it became like a thick chocolate molten thing and then I loved it haha. The seating is also really lovely and the staff are all helpful and friendly. Can’t wait to come again! Thank you

A chocolate drink of your choice is really a must. Brownies and the chocolate truffles are also above average. Free Wi-Fi is also available for those WFHs. There are more seating in the back, not only what you see from the window. It's got a free smell as the baking area is right behind the counter.

This time we didnt have anything to eat this time but we had their iced lattes and a chocolate date something drink which was also vegan friendly. I love how they have vegan options although im not vegan the vegan options are lactose free. Overall they have more options than their Kalk Bay branch. We really enjoyed the experience.

Unfriendly staff. This slice of chocolate was standing uncovered when I entered the cafe, and when I asked if I could rather have from the other chocolate which was freshly made, I was told I have to take the last slice, which was unfortunately not fresh anymore. The cheesecake was pleasant and the atmosphere is aesthetically pleasing but it was overall a disappointing experience.

Ordered the Almond Chocolate Cheesecake and Coconut Dream and I must say this was absolutely delicious. The freshness and quality of everything I ordered was top tier and at a really good price point. The Lady that served us was really the cherry on the cake with her excellent service and a lovely personality. Customers could really feel her positive vibe...as for the bald guy he never greeted back...never served us while we waiting and seemed a bit awkward but neither here or there a great atmosphere. Definitely trying again.

Awesome little place to grab some of the most delectable dark chocolate creations. I 'honestly' don't usually eat dark chocolate, but this is a place I'll be back at whenever I'm in Cape Town. The staff are super nice. I'd love to see one or two milk chocolates on the menu. All in all a great experience. Thank you Honest Chocolate Cafe.

Chocolate taste great. If you love chocolate you will love this place. The brownies were the best thing we ordered. They have a semi-outside seating area.

We came here twice because it was so good that we had to come back. This chocolate shop serves really good chocolate type desserts as well as chocolate bars that can be found even in airports. The first time we were here, we tried the chocolate bunny chow which was made from banana bread with ice cream and chocolate. The second time we came, we tried their original short and dark hot chocolate and their tall and milky peanut butter bomb. I particularly liked their peanut butter bomb as it was truly creamy from what tasted like ground up peanuts. Nice place, nice ambience and it turns to a gin bar at night.
