The food was AMAZING!!! Huge compliments to Chef Dennis. I absolutely loved the hummus platter, the poutine was insanely delicious, and the honeycomb chicken was amazing! Super moist and flavorful. The New York strip steak was on another level. Quite literally the best steak I've ever tasted! Everything was absolutely incredible. I will most definitely be back. I think sometimes it's easy to overlook restaurants at the ski resorts because there are plenty along the Wasatch that are subpar and overpriced. At Honeycomb Grill I felt like the prices were absolutely fair, and the food is above and beyond. 10 out of 10 highly recommend!

Went here for lunch, and you have to try the Bison burger. It was one of the best burgers we ever had. The menu highlights the chicken salad, but definitely try the burger. The staff was super friendly, helpful and accommodating.... and you can't beat the views!

Google
Charming spot and I wish I could’ve loved it but too many small details overlooked added to what I would describe as the ‘Ok-est burger and fries’ On the plus side we were sat quickly with a nice table. My son and I had just finished skiing and were hungry. The server was nice and took our order - off to a great start. When the food came out the fries were cold and otherwise the burgers were ok. Nothing outstanding but we were hungry. I would’ve sent the fries back but our server literally never came back to our table. Not to check on us and even to bring the check - I had to find the manager to do that. When the check came, more confusion. Both my son and I added bacon to our burgers (can you blame us?), but my burger came with two slices of bacon and cost $4. His came with one slice for $5. The manager took care of it and I’m thankful but overall just confused. For a $34 burger and fries I felt like it could have been better. If this experience was a color … the color is khaki

We loved this place! The vegetarian grain bowl, bison burger, and silver strike toddy were incredible. Our server Evan was great. Highly recommend!

Google
Hands down the best food we had while at Solitude. Great atmosphere and drinks, with hearty food that everyone in our family loved. My daughter loved the soup, and meatballs (in the skillet) and the burger and pasta were great too. One recommendation - it fills up faster than we realized (Saturday night, but not busy on the mountain), so we almost couldn't be seated. Make sure you make a reservation to ensure you don't miss out!

Google
Drinks were spectacular, food was horrible and overpriced. Servers were friendly and helpful, but 5 of the 8 of us couldn’t eat our main courses. Was hopeful this would be better than the usual slopeside restaurant, but for $40+ for inedible main courses— huge disappointment. Kudos to the bartender though!

Google
Exceeded our expectations! Got the Salmon and Chicken dinners and both came with a delicious salad. The presentation and quality of food were on point, plus it was all very healthy.

Google
Not a bad little place to dine. It has a quaint and separate bar area to get away from the kiddies as your waiting for your table. We had a fine Malbec and a whiskey as we waited. The Mary's organic chicken, paired with the red pepper bisque creamy soup, was very, very good. The chicken was moist, and very flavorful. Finished it up with the double chocolate mousse cake, drowning in its own warm chocolate syrup. Great location by the shuttle area inside the Solitude Village.

Yelp
We recently spent a week at Solitude and made reservations at Honeycomb for NYE. We were excited for something different than the usual slopeside nachos and burgers, but ended up incredibly disappointed. Zero chance we'd ever go back. The bartender deserves credit for inventive and delicious drinks- the Old Fashion, Negroni, and Mule were all fantastic. Unfortunately that's where the positives ended. We ordered two kale salads that came without kale (they were "out of kale") and as a result were underwhelming. The signature trout dish was so salty that both of us sent it back-- it was inedible, and we couldn't get past the second bite. The server apologized and said "yeah we've gotten that complaint repeatedly over the past couple weeks." She was very willing to bring something else, but we were shocked that they'd been getting consistent negative feedback for weeks and kept serving the dish! It didn't end there. -The burger was also oversalted, inedible, and had to be returned. (We're a family who loves salty food and has never returned a dish due to saltiness!). -The kids' meals were tiny so my son ordered an extra side of pasta, but they brought and charged him for a full meal. -The second round of drinks was painfully slow to arrive. -Our server brought us a beer that she had keyed in by accident, and said it was on the house, but then it was on our bill. (?!?!) -The atmosphere inside felt like a cafeteria, with no ambience and no effort to create a cozy (or any other) vibe. To be fair, the duck special was ok, and the grain bowl I ordered to replace the trout was average. But still-- Worst use of $500 in a long time. We love Solitude but we will definitely not be returning to Honeycomb.

Yelp
Take in the gorgeous mountain view as you chow down in some of the best food in all of Utah. Chef Dennis puts his whole heart into his cooking. The menu is filled of hearty meals that'll make you feel warm and cozy on the chillest of powder days. There are also some lighter options if you're just looking to snack. We had the Hummus Plate, Charcuterie Board, Honeycomb Chicken, Pork Tenderloin, NY Strip Steak and Utah Elk Shank. All the meat was cooked perfectly and practically falling off the bone. One of the pricer Solitude restaurants but 100% worth the visit.

Michelle S.

Yelp
Amazing staff and the food is o so good. I have been here three times this week. Special shout out to sienna, bunny and pau

Chris K.

Yelp
Great service. Great food. Exceeded expectations. Got the hummus and grain bowl which were both really good.

ronak g.

Yelp
Sad that such a beautiful restaurant with great cocktails has such terrible food. The ingredients are also fine, but too fish way too salty, burger undercooked, and overall just bad.

Lily A.

Yelp
Not terrible, good view, pretty nice and inviting atmosphere. The waitress that we had was slightly rude and messed up my order a lot. definitely not the best service. On to the food, the taste was actually pretty good! standard mountain food, slightly pricey. I ordered the kids penne pasta with fries and they first brought out chicken tenders and fries. Not what I ordered, then once we sent that back they brought out shell pasta with salad. not penne, shell. I couldn't be bothered to send that back, so I ate it. for dessert I ordered a skillet cookie with ice cream. Really good!! Definitely recommend the cookie. One thing to remember, everything is an up charge and they don't tell you till you get the check. So if this is your last resort, it's super good! Not on my list of places to go though.

Kevin S.

Yelp
Enjoyed great service in a great location. Rib-eye was good but favorite was pork tenderloin and the salmon. Really enjoyed the chili soup.

Catherine Z.

Yelp
I can only talk about the bar but the hand crafted cocktails from Megan were delightful and the place had a nice upscale-lodge-aprés-ski vibe without being too in your face LODGE. Megan was prompt and amiable and we will be back!

Matthew C.

Yelp
The Pork Tenderloin over polenta at dinner is fantastic and I'm very particular about food. Nice wine selection by the glass. Prices are reasonable. One of the best on mountain ski resort restaurants I have experienced. Going there for lunch tomorrow.

Nycole R.

Yelp
After hiking nearby, my wife and I were ready for an early lunch. It was hot outside, so we wanted something a little on the lighter side. There was a menu outside for us to look over, and we each found something that looked good-so we went in. We waited at the hostess station a couple minutes before someone came up and got us seated. We sat on the patio in the shade so we could enjoy the beautiful mountain backdrop. It's a lovely area to dine. Our server was very timid and only came to our table to take our order, drop off food and drop off the bill. I'm not sure if he was having an off day or if he's new, but a little more friendly interaction would have earned Honeycomb a full five stars. He didn't refill our drinks until he brought the bill and he noticed a small error in the order but didn't acknowledge it to us. (He glanced at my wife's plate and saw sausage instead of the bacon she had ordered. He walked away, pulled out his order pad, looked at it and then walked inside.) She ate the sausage, but would have preferred bacon. Now, on to the food itself. Kudos to the chef-if was amazing! I ordered the grilled shrimp and loved every bite of it! The presentation was colorful and appealing. Every bite was delicious and I savored each one. My wife ordered the breakfast and also enjoyed it. The potatoes wowed us both! As we left, I remarked to my wife that I would be craving the grilled shrimp again and would need to return soon.

Lindsay N.

Yelp
I'm so impressed with this place. I'm a foodie and I didn't enjoy the food at numerous nice places we went in Park City but we continuously chose to eat at this restaurant every night we stayed at solitude because we kept having phenomenal food. The highlights were the bison burger, tomato soup, salmon and pork chop and baked cookie dessert. The service was also great.

Courtney B.

Yelp
We enjoyed mid snowboarding drinks here alongside a delicious charcuterie board. The board had local honey- incredible cheeses- a selection of meats and nuts- one of the best boards we've had in a while and we come from CA and have had a few hundred different cheese boards in our day. The waitress was welcoming and kind and had tons of recommendations. They have warm honey drinks, wine, beer, one of the best selections we've seen in this region thus far. We also split the salmon cakes which came with a lot of fish!

Betty Y.

Yelp
Came here at 8 pm and the wait was around 30 minutes. Got a seat at the bar instead. We had the most wonderful bartender, Michelle. She was friendly and made sure we liked our drinks, even fixed them. My boyfriend and I both had the best meal during our entire vacation here. He got the venison chops and I got the trout with wild vegetables. The vegetables were amazing. It candied beets, cauliflower, and baby carrots with a garlic yogurt sauce. It was to die for. You could add chicken, steak or trout to it.

Kimberly G.

Yelp
After a day of skiing we popped into Honeycomb Grill. We sat at the bar while deciding what we were going to have for dinner. We ordered the house chips and a glass of wine. The chips were a bunch of broken store bought chips over salted and put in a warmer. We asked to talk to the kitchen manager and he was less than interested to talk to us about the bad product his kitchen was putting out and walked away. If they can't put out a simple order of "house chips" for $8 I was not interested to see what a they would do with a $46 steak. Really bad service - bartender was great- but kitchen needs to be reminded that this is a resort. That visitors are coming to relax and pay a lot of money to enjoy this part of the mountain.

Lexy E.

Yelp
We came to Solitude for a ski vacation, and stayed at the Inn at Solitude. Given the small village there aren't many options of nearby places to choose from. This is one of the only sit down restaurant options. We tried their flatbread which was really good, it was on special that night. I ordered the amitriciana pasta which was just okay, it was not made with the traditional bucatini pasta, rather it was served with rigatoni which I wasn't a fan of. The sauce was watery and did not coat the noodles very well. I did add burrata to it that made it better. Two other people in our party ordered the bison burger and boy was that good! The fourth person ordered the quinoa bowl which he said was really good.

Casey K.

Yelp
The options are minimal if you are staying in solitude. For dinner this is basically your option for sit down dining. The upside is the curry carrot soup was excellent! We ended up getting a second bowl. The service and soup get 5 stars. The Chile was also excellent with a good meat ratio but minimal spice. 4 stars for the Chile. As far as the main dish, the Bison burger was meh. It was a bit dry and flavorless. The fries were subpar and were a mix of sweet potatoes and regular fries, thin, and had a stale taste. This dish gets 2 stars. The roasted chicken was above average and we did enjoy the sauce. This dish gets 3.5 stars. Overall it's a secluded restaurant in the village at Solitude with a perfect location if you are staying there. Service was great, the food was hit and miss. But the soups were great and so was the Chile. If we come back we would stick to that.

Doug C.

Yelp
My good friend and I visited the Honeycomb Grill on a Tuesday night and came in hungry! We were both in a "red meat mood" and ordered the Filet Mignon, I was pleasantly surprised to be served a dinner salad, you don't see that much anymore! The Filet was wonderful and cooked just as we ordered. Their Scalloped Potatoes were excellent and the Asparagus was not overcooked (as most places tend to do) Service was fast, friendly and efficient! We had a nice bottle of Merlot and enjoyed dinner so much we even had dessert! For years I have shied away from this restaurant due to declining quality and a menu that looked more like an art project (too eclectic) - Not anymore! I will be back whenever I am skiing the Greatest Snow on Earth and look forward to more awesome dinners here! To all my SLC friends, it is worth a drive up the BCC for some mountain air, scenery in Solitude Village and a dinner you will remember!

E F.

Yelp
The food was not that great. Edible, but no interesting flavors. We had the wood fired vegetables and the chicken fingers with salad. The "salad" was a bunch of baby spinach with 5 cherry tomatoes on top. That's it. I wish they would source better baseline ingredients so the veggies would have more natural flavor. The service was wonderful. The hostess sat us quickly in a nice outdoor table. The server was attentive and got the order perfectly.

Ian L.

Yelp
As far as ski lodge food goes, its passable, but it definitely was not a meal worth remembering. Worse than this, I could hardly eat it. After reading reviews suggesting the chili was bland, I asked that they spice it up a bit. The cook made it so spicy it nearly made me sick. Really, a little spice is not the same as a lot. They should know better. My wife got vegetables with chicken add-on. They brought some chicken that looked like it came from Chick-fil-A, on a separate plate. It was an amateurish presentation.

Danica B.

Yelp
Mary's Chicken, perfect crust and seasoning. Bison Chili was the best I've had. Hot chocolate and a side of medium steak was a favorite for my toddler.

Q Q.

Yelp
Food is just ok, they really need to work on that..... and maybe expand the menu, not much selection. But the view is great!!! We sit on the back patio area and watch the slopes.

Charles S.

Yelp
After waiting for easily a half hour for food to arrive, the small $18 salads came out and we were stunned to get the spinach salad with zero spinach. Arugula and radiccio. When we complained, we were informed that the red stuff was "spinach radiccio". Whu'? They assured us they would bring spinach, but they didn't because of course it was clear they had no spinach. This was not the only disappointment -- in general the food was mediocre - but it illustrates the point: buyer beware.

Adrienne B.

Yelp
We had a wonderful meal. The chicken on risotto was especially good, along with the flatbread and fire grilled vegetables.

John D.

Yelp
We have eaten here several times on day trips to Solitude Mountain in the past. This week we stayed at Solitude for the first time. A few weeks ago, I reserved three nights for dinner since I knew dining options on the mountain are limited. A few days later I received a voicemail stating that all my reservations were cancelled because they were inexplicably taking walk ins only. We stopped at Costco and a super market and ended up eating dinner in our condo all week. Tonight I get an email from Open Table because Honeycomb Grill notified them that I didn't show up for the reservation THEY CANCELLED! I realize you are short staffed and I hope you get it together soon but you cancelled the reservation.

Ruth F.

Yelp
Wow best meal in Solitude so far! Everyone loved their food. I had Mary's chicken and it was amazing. The sauce, the veggies. Yum! My husband had the pork shank and it melted in your mouth! My kids had bison burgers and they were awesome too. Sienna was a great waitress too.

Than V.

Yelp
Got sucked into the 2-for-1 passholder deal on Thursday nights during Sunset Cinema. The trout and bison burger were both great but the Shrimp Scampi Linguini lacked enough sauce and our Market Steaks we're overcooked. We had a nice table outside but they were poorly staffed for such a busy night and the service correspondingly suffered.

Matthew L.

Yelp
I cannot believe how amazing this restaurant is. You would normally think that for being at the resort and close to the lifts, that they can't get such a high class kitchen to fit in with everything. Do yourself a favor. Next time you're at Solitude and want something different, stay for dinner. We had Bison New York strip with Parmesan potatoes and grilled duck breast that couldn't be cooked with more skill or flavor. We loved it so much we had to track down the staff the next morning to let them know how much we loved it. They do take out during Covid and the class and presentation isn't skimped at all. I'm in love. Next time we're at the Inn we're going to eat here exclusively. Thanks Honeycomb

Bailey H.

Yelp
This was my first time here. We went for lunch around 12 and the prices weren't bad. They definitely give you your moneys worth. Great service (Lauren), amazing view and the food was delicious. Thankfully I live locally so I can keep coming back.

Bruce C.

Yelp
Wasn't sure if the resort restaurant would be good, pricing was a little expensive but it was like a 5 minute walk from where we were staying. I ended up getting Mary's Chicken and I really wanted the ribeye but couldn't justify the price tag. Mary's chicken was an excellent choice as it was cooked and seasoned perfectly. What does semi-boned mean? It just means that the drumette still has the bone in it but the rest of the half chicken is completely deboned. The chicken breast portion was a tad fry but not overly so. The dark meat portions were delicious. You'll notice on your check that there's a line item called "Restaurant 1.0" which correlates to 1% of the check. It's some tax that they add on in addition to sales tax. We went out to eat the next day and the restaurant we went to didn't have it, so im not sure what to think there. Our waters never went dry and service was quite good. I would come back if I'm at Solitude again.

Phil L.

Yelp
Wow!!! This place was amazing for dinner. Had a Bison steak with these incredible mashed potatoes! What's in those potatoes!?!? Horseradish and cheese?? Oh man they were amazing! My husband got the duck breast. Incredible! For dessert blueberry pie, cookies, and the most delicious vanilla ice cream!! Thank you for making our day at solitude complete with a delicious meal. I can't wait for Covid to be over so we can come sit inside and dine with you again. Everyone needs to give this place a try, you won't be disappointed!

Marge O.

Yelp
This afternoon six of us and one child went for lunch here. First off there was a special for chicken and waffles from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. We arrived at 3:45 and we asked if she could order the special and the waiter said he had to check with the manager and was told she could not order it. I ordered chicken and biscuits and in error I didn't want chicken on the biscuits but got it anyway making biscuits a little soggy. The jams were delicious especially the blueberry lavender. Upon reading reviews I realized that this location had many less reviews than the one downtown. Enjoyed the food and decor was great. Will probably try the location to Salt Lake City in the future. This review was posted in error to the wrong restaurant. It was intended for PIG In A JELLY JAR On July 15th while at Solitude a group of about fifteen enjoyed a wonderful brunch. The previous day we attended a very beautiful wedding. . The food was great and service was excellent. We are planning on returning in the near future.

Cameron B.

Yelp
It's the little restaurant that could, jugging away up the hill from Salt Lake and serving hungry and tired skiers coming off the slopes of Solitude. It's the perfect place to dry off after a long morning on the mountain, have a high octane beer or glass of wine and settle into a heart chili, a light salad or a fulfilling burger. Honeycomb is the option for skiers and boarders looking to escape the larger and more crowded ski lodge options, or for those staying in the village who aren't in the mood to cook in their own kitchens. The menu (drink and food) is curated down to just a few options of each type of meal, but everyone can find something they like. The prices reflect the sit-down nature of the establishment, but it is very low-key and used to the exhausted and recovering zoned-out look of people coming off a challenging run. No frills, open and lofty cabin space, and a kitchen that can get a bit overwhelmed; this might be your lunch stop, or your last stop of the day; but stop in you should!

John P.

Yelp
Want to get out of the city for great food and wonderful service? Solitude Honeycomb is the place. Unique menu, I had the Bison Chili....soooooooo good? The staff wines and dines you. And the view is unbeatable. So head up to the fresh air for a great experience.

Tiana P.

Yelp
We went skiing at Brighton, but the cafeteria there was packed so we took a bus to solitude to eat here. The food was decent. We had the bison chili, Thai chicken soup, bison burger, and warm turkey sandwich. Everything was nice, warm, and filling. The staff was courteous and quick. Considering the restaurant is a place for skiers to eat, it was worth coming since everything moved quickly and the restaurant was not too busy.

Kipp G.

Yelp
Was not impressed. Food was all very basic, did not have good options, and the service was awful. None of the staff acted like they wanted to be there and just didn't care. Needs to be changed up .... fast.

M H.

Yelp
It took over an hour to get two kids meals, a veggie sandwich, and a rice bowl. Ski patrol came in after us and their order was put ahead of us. There were only three tables in the restaurant being served. After waiting an hour, my daughter ordered the pasta and it was served literally as mush which per the waiter is how they eat pasta in this area. Anyways, the food and experience was disappointing.

Sara W.

Yelp
Food is consistently delicious, but the service is consistently terrible. I've been here over a half dozen times, and I've never had a positive service-related experience. It's almost like the waitstaff goes out of their way to suck. It's truly baffling.

Josh K.

Yelp
We love Solitude resort , Been eating here on and off for a few years, used to be called Kimi's grill. great salads, mac n cheese solid burgers and apps. Cheap low point Utah beers(2.50)relative to other resort restaurant prices. Nicer place but ski attire is appropriate , we sit in the little lounge area near the entrance so we can chit chat with the cool bartenders and staff.

Renee D.

Yelp
I traveled from Louisiana to Utah to spend time with family for Christmas. I wanted to watch my family ski, well due to covid there was no seating inside the lodge the only place to dine in was Honeycomb grill. Keep in mind there IS NOTHING on the website about the lodge being closed. It's 7 degrees outside and I'm obviously not dressed to sit outside. I went to the cafe and asked if I could stay there while they skied, I told them I would be more than happy to eat and drink for the few hours they were there. The manager told me, "No, you cannot hang out here." I repeated I would eat and drink, she said they were reservations only, I asked if I could make a reservation. She said they were booked. There was only 4 people inside the dining area. There was NOTHING on the website about lunch reservations other than they were recommended, and dinner reservations were required. Since she wouldn't allow me to make a reservation I said what would you suggest I do then, her reply.."I don't know but you can't stay here." I understand covid restrictions but surely they could have understood my situation. Fortunately for me a owner from a condo there took me to the "clubhouse" there so I could get out of the snow until I was able to walk to Last Chance to see if they would allow me to sit there. Morgan at Last Chance was awesome! Her kindness to me that day to simply offer me a chair upstairs and out of sight to keep me out of the weather. So if you would like to be treated with kindness and warmth give your business to Last Chance NOT Honeycomb. I'll be back December of 2021 and I will not be going back except to say hi to Morgan at Last Chance and have lunch and drinks and maybe even a ski lesson since we will probably buy a condo there. I will NEVER even look toward Honeycomb.

Chicken F.

Yelp
The chicken fingers here are very good. They are juicy, but it does not cause the breading to become soggy. While they recently changed the breading of the chicken fingers, it still maintained the good quality that they had in the past. It also comes with a choice of fries or salad. The only regrettable thing about these chicken fingers is that they are only available on the children's menu. This leaves many chicken fingers to be desired, as I was only given three small chicken fingers on my plate. However, the supreme quality of the chicken fingers themselves impressed me enough that I will let it slide and will continue to order chicken fingers at this establishment.

Khalid S.

Yelp
Also, Mary's Chicken is great. Came back the next day for mixed greens with Arctic char added. All super tasty. I wish they served espresso here.

Brenna G.

Yelp
Definitely the best food in the canyon. The quality and price of the food is better than Silverfork, the only think lacking is the ambiance.

Craig H.

Yelp
Hit or miss. Have had some good meals and really, really slow meals. Last time we got 3 burgers and waited over an hour for the food. When we sat down there was only a few tables full and we ordered right away. When I complained, I was told 'there just isn't enough room on the cooktop for your order.'

Lee D.

Yelp
Scenic alpine setting with good menu variety and great food quality. All great except service -- I visited on a Sat AM for brunch, and once seated by the hostess, it took a whopping 30 min for anyone to come by and take my order, despite a light crowd -- only 3-4 other tables. Unfortunate and just unacceptable at these prices.

Jeff E.

Yelp
Eat at the Honeycomb most days when I ski there. The salad is awesome and my wife loves the turkey sandwich. Go there before noon on a crowded day to get a table.

Joel P.

Yelp
I have been in the service industry for over 15 years and let me tell you, IT IS WORTH THE WAIT... we walked in at 6.30 and the only available time was 8.30pm. We came back hungry and irritated. So please make a reservation. The menu is limited but that's because you have not heard about the specials... The enchiladas chicken soup is to die for, the venison tomahawk ribeye, the wild Pheasant and the wild boar tenderloin were unbelievable... I know this may sound risky for some of you but please step out of your comfort zone and you will not be disappointed. I am a meat lover but unfortunately our best friend is a pescatarian. He had many choices to choose from even some that I was very pleased with. Michelle our server had such as great sense of humor and is one of the best servers I ever met in the industry. We made another reservation for Sunday as new specials are on the menu. If you do not stop to this little gem you are missing out.

Tamara B.

Yelp
Honeycomb has been the most pleasant restaurant to deal with in Solitude. It was the only one who was open at convenient times, and had everything available. So many places here run out of food or espresso. Mike is an exceptional server, great attitude, fun personality, patient. The food is pretty good.

Taliesin C.

Yelp
After a great cross country skiing try the búfalo chili soup with fries ... is to die for. It was recommended by the server Michelle

Blair P.

Yelp
Reuben is the best I have ever had. Seriously. Then partner that with a Blair's Texas Margarita and it's a meal!!!!!
