Visited the Hong Kong Palace Museum by bus , super convenient and easy to get to. The overall atmosphere is great. The place is clean, neat, and very well organized. I went for the Ancient Egypt exhibition and it was really interesting. The area around the museum is also lovely. It’s right next to the sea with a beautiful view, and there are lots of people hanging out, having picnics, and enjoying the space. A really nice spot to spend an afternoon.

This private museum exudes a great aesthetic vibe and showcases an impressive collection. When I visited, they were hosting an ancient Egyptian exhibit. The exhibit was spectacular and truly worth seeing. The staff was also wonderful during my visit. One of them even helped me find the museum shop when I got lost. I really appreciated how friendly and approachable they were. The entire structure is very Instagrammable. It also offers a beautiful view of Victoria Harbour. I was sad that I could only stay for a few hours because I was almost late for my flight. I will definitely come back the next time I’m in the area.

The exhibition "Ancient Egypt Unveiled: Treasures from Egyptian Museums" is a must-see. It’s a world-class curation featuring 250 rare artefacts, including Tutankhamun’s colossal statue and Saqqara’s latest finds. The immersive multimedia and animal mummies offer an incredible dialogue between civilisations. Truly the highlight of 2026’s cultural calendar!

A very well curated museum with some very cool pieces. When I visited, the two special exhibits were Ancient Egypt and the other was Mughal Empire related. I only visited the Ancient Egypt section but it was very popular so expect an orderly crowd. The exhibit itself was highly interesting and worth seeing. The architecture is also especially stunning, with lots of photo worthy spots. There’s an outdoor deck in the museum with a great view of the skyline and water.

While the Hong Kong Palace Museum offers a visually impressive space and some interesting exhibits, there are a few areas that could be improved. The ticket prices are relatively high compared to other museums in the city, which may deter some visitors. The special exhibition on the Egypt Exhibition, in particular, is overpriced and does not match the quality of a similar show previously held at the Science Museum. In terms of logistics, the museum is located quite a distance from the nearest MTR station, making it less convenient to access, especially in hot or rainy weather. Public transportation options to the museum are limited and not particularly user-friendly. For my family, we just take around four hours to explore the entire museum at a comfortable pace.

That a mini bus outside MTR Austin Station $5.00 to the M+and HK Palace Museum. At the front entry also have a Starbucks and gift shop. My purpose was seeing the Special event about Egypt and mummy. I appreciate the volunteer name Polly , She is professional and very well knowledgeable of the Egypt history. She made my day and I understand more about Pharaoh. A bonus is see the cat mummy. That a good experience for a beginner to starting learning archeological.

The Hong Kong Palace Museum is a worthwhile place to visit. It mainly houses artifacts from the Ming and Qing dynasties, including porcelain, silk, jade, goldware, and lacquerware. The artifacts are exquisite, and the glass is very clean, making it great for taking photos. The observation deck outside the museum is also a good option for viewing Victoria Harbour, offering a direct view of the Central district's architecture.

The structure looks magnificent both during the day and at night and it is also well maintained. They have a lot of Chinese history and exhibition rooms, so if you are really interested in history, it is one hundred percent worth visiting. Get your ticket early.
