Great museum! Too bad that we only have 1.30 hours to spent before closing time. Good layout and story telling, beautiful and interesting artifact, friendly staff. There also rotating exhibition from all over the world. We would visit again with half a day to spare.

It’s always good to know about our own history. And here history is told explained narrated in a very interesting communicative manner with shadows films activities. This makes the whole experience memorable and enjoyable. One needs a whole day to actually see all 9 galleries. We managed only two since we started after lunch. Being a publis holiday there was lil rush also. Good place to enjoy n learn with family. They have a nice shop too

Interesting exhibitions about historical artifacts and interactive activities however could be better organized. Plus point: many seats and resting points within the exhibition and outside of the exhibitions. And also folding chairs which you can borrow to bring along and sit on in the museum. Museum had lingering paint smell and was poorly/ minimal ventilated hence both my travel partner and myself felt uneasy after being in the museum for 3 hours. Do note there’s visiting exhibition with additional cost on top of the regular access. Museum accessibility: no MTR nearby, access by bus or taxi.

Beautiful museum full of beautiful artefacts. Would 100% recommend. I was hesitant to pay the ticket fee at first, but at a student price it seemed worth it just for the air conditioning instead of the scorching hot sun. However, it is WAY, WAY MORE than just worth it. The museum is very well and thoughtfully curated, and has enough exhibit to spend an entire afternoon there if you examine each area with care and partake in all the interactive stations. My boyfriend and I stayed there for over five hours. No photos do it justice, so just visit it for yourselves.

The air was filled with art and history; the interior of the museum was both amazing and comfortable, showcasing state-of-the-art features. It is noteworthy that quite a lot of interactive activities are involved👍🏻

Lovely new museum. Made up of 9 galleries of information about the Forbidden City (now called the Palace Museum). Wets the appetite for a visit to the Forbidden City in Beijing.

Really a great experience! Lots of artifacts shown wonderfully and I went the carpet exhibit as well that was really quite something! A great way to spend a few hours in the warm afternoon!

I visited on a day when a heavy rainstorm was forecast, expecting a quieter experience with fewer visitors. Instead, I was met with chaos. Despite the poor weather, the staff struggled to maintain order, resulting in a noisy environment filled with loud conversations and children running amok. One of the most frustrating moments occurred when a group of mainland visitors blocked the aisles while taking pictures, monopolising the space in front of the exhibits for several minutes. This behaviour made it virtually impossible to appreciate the displays. The curators and organisers from Chinese museums would have handled this situation far better. Given the choice, I would much prefer to visit the Palace Museum in Beijing instead. My experience was extremely disappointing, similar to my previous visit to the M+ Museum. I paid an extra $70 for access to the special exhibition hall, but I can confidently say that the total cost of $140 was not worth it. I have no plans to return.
