Hongdae Korean BBQ Hongik Sutbul Galbi

I hope I can give a zero rating. STAY AWAY from this place!!! The worst BBQ experience ever. No smiles from staff and boss. I went with my family (with 3 children) for our last dinner while in Seoul. Once seated, we were told to order 5 mains but we ended up ordering 4 mains and 1 side. About half of the pork belly was literally fat!!!! Complaint to the staff but was informed it was too late to change the pork belly. When paying, the male boss never said a word, not even thanked us for coming. The restaurant was full when we dined in and I can tell all were tourist. This place is a tourist trap, so my recommendation is to stay away from this place. It is highly likely you will be disappointed. There are many other BBQ places within the vicinity, there were even 2 other BBQ restaurants next to this place.

From the moment we walked in, we were enveloped by the crowd and meat sizzling sound, the warm of the BBQ ... Perfect place for taste of Seoul.

The meat are fresh and the service was fast. They had side dishes and the soup is delicious! Will eat here again when I’m in Hongdae. Thank you I had a nice meal before going back to the Philippines!😍

The worst experience I ever had in my life. When we got here at 11pm the waitress kept saying NO which means they have stopped serving. We were curious that the opening hours will be end at 4 or 5am. However, the waiter invited us in and although there were many tables inside, we were only allowed to sit at the outermost table by the door. At the time it was raining. After ordering, the waitress threw the side dishes on the table and we were STUNNED. It was UNBELIEVABLE. The overall experience was EXTREMELY TERRIBLE.

have a good experience here! i dont know before, but i saw drama korea “weightlifting kim bok jo” filmed here. nam joo hyuk was here haha. surprisingly the food was great.

Second time eating here. The staff are nice and approachable. The service is good too.

not sure why people are hating on this place, been here twice and both were really good. I think experience depends heavily on how packed the place is! don’t judge before you have it

10years ago I went. Food was so delicious. The waiter and shop owner were so friendly. Feel so comfortable eating there. I went to eat again recently. EVERYTHING CHANGE! All foreign waitress working there were so rude. Force me to order extra meal as I have more ppl. I told her I will order when I finished but she said cannot. OMG! Food quality not there anymore. Won’t go again! Never and never!
