Hongdae Street

We visited this street during the festive Christmas season and it was extremely busy and very packed, so it’s definitely something to be mindful of if you’re not a fan of crowds. That said, there is so much to see and do, and the lively atmosphere really adds to the experience. Everything was open, and the street was bright and colourful with lights everywhere, making it feel vibrant and exciting. There were performers along the street, which added to the energy, and plenty of food markets and stalls offering a wide variety of options. Despite the busyness, it’s a great place to visit and soak in the atmosphere, especially if you enjoy busy streets with lots happening around you.

This street is amazingly rich in culture, full of life, and very much alive. It is a must visit if you are doing a city tour of Seoul. We arrived at 7pm and left at 9pm. We thought 1.5 hours was enough but while we are there we needed to extend it to 2 hours. Still, it wasn't enough. You can easily spend 4 hours here and you won't notice the time. There's so much to see, listen, and taste for you to enjoy. The crowd is mostly local young adults. The cost is not as expensive as the tourists spots maybe because locals spend time here too. This is very much accessible via bus and use your Naver map to navigate. We paid our purchases via cash.

A charming and youthful shopping streets There is a strong police presence and the place is well organised, with barricades in the centre to control the direction and flow of human traffic. A must-go for all visitors to Seoul to get the youthful vibes! Thumbs up!

Hongdae Street is such an amazing place to visit! The atmosphere is full of energy, creativity, and fun. The area is packed with great cafes, restaurants, and trendy shops, perfect for exploring day or night. Definitely a must-visit if you want to experience the city’s vibrant culture!

Very lively area in Seoul. So many shops, eateries places to see, and things to do. Lots of young people from the nearby universities and it seems like party night, every night. Street performers, k-pop, neon lights, it's amazing any study gets done 😀 very interesting place to see and spend some time!

The streetview is really nice and chill! I like this place so much~ There are people busking and performing in the middle of the street. Also many shops and restaurants. Clothes here are with fair price too. You can almost do anything here.

I love it here. The vibes are so energetic and fun. It's slways crowded here. There are so many street foods, clothing store, photobox, and many more. This is where the college and student hangout, popular street amongst young people. There are also street performance too. I would definitely come back here again. Foods are delicioud.

Great place to shop for graphic tees and pants although it gets a little repetitive throughout the stores but, good nonetheless. You will find many great eating spots as well and at night there will be street performers.
