"Shogunai Tacos serves Japanese and Korean tacos. The Japanese taco, wrapped in a flour tortilla, includes braised pork and crumbles of nori, making it taste a bit like yakisoba. The Korean taco is dreadful, seasoned with rank kimchi and clumps of orange cheese." - Jonathan Gold
Waikiki is a tough place to find readable priced food that’s also really good. So glad we found this place. Already eaten here twice! 😊 I recommend the steak quesadilla and the pork tacos.

Quiet, open-air food court with chill vibes. My kids and I enjoyed the pork carnitas and fish street tacos, and a cheese quesadilla. They all hit the spot for everyone! Would highly recommend for everyone. Fresh salsas were a perfect accompaniment for everything. Will definitely come back!

Fantastic- service, food, and service again🙏🏼
Portions are more than generous, flavored to perfection (for me and my family’s hungry palate) and chefs attitude and service was truly an expression of ALOHA! Would def recommend :)

Very delicious! Got the veggie burrito which was flavorful and filling. The spicy option was actually spicy which I loved!

Steak and fish tacos were fairly good. -1 star for the poor attitude of the worker. I asked her about the flavor of the spicy salsa to which she scoffed with some eye rolling while repeating that it's spicy. Just give me the expensive tacos and keep your attitude.

We came here for the Happy Hawaiian Cafe but ended up eating here instead. My son got the fried fish meal and loved it. (Tons of food) My daughter got a humongous burrito and I got the steak and rice bowl. All good. Good service. Would come again!

Attitudes and very unwelcoming. Steak Burrito had No Flavor at all. $15.99. More lettuce than steak. What a waste of time and money. Very disappointed.

11:15 am on February 24, 2025. Went to the little restaurant that looks like an absolute gem. Waited for about 5 min. And then rang the small bell to get someone’s attention.
From outback walked in a young girl that had the most miserable look in her face. She walked up to the register and just stared at me until I asked for a burrito. She had a wood spoon that had a key on it and I assumed it was for a bathroom that all the vendors share in the open market (almost hawker style environment). She threw the spoon down and turned her back to me and started to make the burrito. At this point she still hasn’t said a single word.
She didn’t wear gloves and didn’t wash her hands while preparing the food.
I’m a well travelled person who loves a good meal and I can’t always eat poke when in Hawaii for work… sometimes I need some options. But when you can’t wash your hands after touching cash… that’s a deal breaker.
So in short… they are serving up dirty food with a side of shitty attitude.
But you be the judge.
