Amazing view, service, and food. I ordered the lamb medium rare; it was amazing, cooked to perfection, it was tender and so flavorful. You can really taste the fresh herbs and zest. Highly recommend getting this beautiful dish. My husband ordered the salmon. He said it was good. Overall we enjoyed our experience.

We had one of the BEST dinners ever here a few nights ago! Every table has a stunning view of the water and there’s not a bad seat in the house. We ordered the steak, halibut and dry ribs and I can honestly say all 3 were incredibly delicious and some of the best we’ve ever tasted. My partner and I both work in the restaurant industry and were very impressed by the food, service, hospitality and ambiance. We’ll highly recommended this restaurant to everyone. Our server, Leah, took great care of us and was accommodating to all our requests. Can’t wait to come back ☺️

Very nice restaurant on the water. Staff are very attentive,reservations are recommended. Most items are or can be made Gluten free. I had the tenderloin they subbed the demi glaze for a red wine sauce which was very good. Teens enjoyed both their seafood dishes & tiramisu. Stunning views, always a must when we are in town.

Great place for a freshly prepared meal and the views of the lake is awesome. Since completing the renovation they only do evening meals at the moment from 4pm. Be sure to make a booking for no wait time...Highly recommend 👌

The Hooded Merganser, Penticton We had dinner here on Friday night, and it was spectacular from start to finish. We were lucky enough to walk right in without a reservation and scored a window table with a perfect view of Okanagan Lake. Honestly, it is surprising this place is not booked out weeks in advance. It almost feels like the locals want to keep this spot a secret despite the obvious location. That is how good it is. Atmosphere and Ambience The setting is gorgeous. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame the lake beautifully, and the vibe is the perfect mix of relaxed and upscale. It feels special without trying too hard, which we really appreciated. Service Our server Aaron was fantastic. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely added to the experience without hovering. You could tell he cared about making sure we had a great night. Food and Drinks We ordered the Grilled Tenderloin and the Braised Chuck Flat, and both were incredible. The tenderloin was perfectly cooked, tender and full of flavour, while the braised chuck was rich, hearty, and melt-in-your-mouth good. The portions were generous without sacrificing quality, and the pricing felt very fair given the level of food and service. We each had an 8oz glass of red wine, which was reasonably priced and paired perfectly with the meal. The only downside was that we were so full we had to skip dessert, which just gives us another reason to come back. Overall The Hooded Merganser checks every box: spectacular views, incredible food, flawless service, and excellent value. Whether you are local or visiting Penticton, this is one of those places you will be talking about long after you leave. Book ahead. Trust us, this one is worth it.

Enjoyed a really lovely dinner for my parents' birthdays here. Love the clean, open and elegant look. Service was very friendly and professional. Food was great and you can't beat the view. The seafood linguine was really, really good. Very happy we decided to book here and will absolutely be back when we visit Penticton again!

Beautiful place to eat in town. I did like many of my past experiences as far as food goes, I went tonite and my burger was quite salty. I told the waitress and she handled the situation perfectly. Worth going here for sure

Great experience, the staff was pleasant and welcoming. Went in for dessert but ended up sharing lamb chops meal with my wife. 4/5 on the food is due to a bit charred meat when we requested well done (not overly surprised), & quantity vs price. None the less, great experience. Loved the tiramisu and wife loved the cheese cake.
