Awesome volcanic hike, but was a bit of a challenge. Steep steps and half the steps didn’t have a railing. Take care going up and down, especially if it’s raining/rained or if the steps have sand/dirt. The view is worth it though!!!!!

Short but steep hike on stairs to the top of hooiberg. View is nice on top, but no so special. Nice activity if you are tired of lying on the beach all day..

587 step climb to the top! It was a nice change of scenery (pun intended) from the beach. Bring water- as it seems fairly simple but those steps are STEEP. Plenty of places for a rest on the way up and beautiful few. Apparently on a clear day you can see all the way to Venezuela - but we weren’t able to.

Cool mountain with 500+ steps to climb. Offers an awesome view of the island at the top!

Step hike, with a nice view from above. But tf is all that trash doing up there?! Bins are completely full and no one seems to care about it…

Second half of the climb was a little rough on these old legs but we made it to the top! Concrete stairs have recently been redone and are very sturdy. Views from the top are great!

We climbed the Hooiberg with (a just) 5 year old. I think we did it in about 20 minutes going up) Mind you that it's dangerous! There are no handles on the stairs at every spot. They should fix this! It was a beautiful view nevertheless. But I did have anxiety going back on the steep stairs with the little one. Not ideal.

Wanted to catch a sunrise view. View from top was beautiful, but never truly saw the beauty of the sunrise as it stayed hidden in the clouds. I heard there are 600 steps to the top, didn't count it but made it to the top.
