Hooked on Books is a MUST visit place when coming down to Wildwood. This has been my favorite book store to visit for many years now. They have great prices, current pieces, and lovely staff.

Thank you for being near the boardwalk. We wandered in here yesterday and even bought a Christmas gift for PopPop. It was a treasure trove of great books.

This place was really great!! My wife always looks everywhere we go for her author's that she reads and NEVER finds them. Went here and we were able to find both the authors she enjoys and get about 20 books. Guy has a huge selection of everything, even old classics.

The place to shop for books in the Wildwoods! I grew up with several bookshops to choose from here. They're down to one, but it's amazing. We visited two days in a row and went home with a full bag of books each time.

Hooked on Books! Neat little spot in North Wildwood. We were walking the car show and discovered this little gem. They were very nice gentleman working the counter. They knew exactly where all their books are located. Highly recommend to come here on a rainy day.

The fragrance of well loved books draws you in and you could spend hours walking the aisles trying to decide what adventure, romance, historical info, or drama that you will engage in next!

Awesome used bookstore in Wildwood. I love bookstores but especially used bookstores. There are books all over the place in here. If you can't find a beach read here good luck. I'm mostly into history/military books and there were plenty. Been looking for a book called "The last full measure" and couldn't find it. Asked the guy at the register and he was backing less than thirty seconds with the book. Any problems just ask. Every time I come to either Cape May or Wildwood I hit this bookstore. Books are a bargain as well.

What a great bookstore in Wildwood. Plenty of street parking as it's across from Byrne plaza. Tons of books to choose from across many genres. Staff is friendly I'll be back

LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!! This store is simply amazing. Every book is organized by genre. Something that shocked me is that they had tons of newly published books including popular authors like Frieda McFadden. They were also at a discounted price. The story behind this store is that they sell used books for a cheap price. I love the idea of "recycling" books. This store is absolutely amazing. I love the stores ambiance and vibe.

I am a voracious reader who loves to bring home good condition hard back books. So, every year on vacation My husband and I walk to Hooked on Books as part of our date night. He waits in one of the chairs reading the newspaper while I peruse the aisles to find the perfect books to bring home to my shelves. We have been doing this for about 10 years or more. There is ALWAYS a great selection of new and old books in every genre. Occasionally a coupon, a sale and always a feel good environment. I love this tradition we started. I hope to always be able to do this. Now, my daughter and my sister in law come here too as of this year. So, while I still visit with my husband every year on date night and purchase my books I now come with my daughter to help her choose her books.

COVID19 Quarantine Review: Hooked on Books is an awesome Bookstore located in downtown Wildwood. They specialize in used books - they have a great selection and affordable prices. The store is typically kept in great condition and very well organized, but with the current Pandemic they've set up an alternative service where you won't enter the store. A few select books are located on a table outside, with two gentlemen stationed behind it. They're there for any request you might have - specific author, topic, title, etc. Just give them what you're looking for and they will search the inventory for you. Each book has a price on the front, they accept cash, Visa & Mastercard.

The best book store with everything you could ever need. The owner is so knowledgeable and friendly. If you're looking for a specific book or a new read, this is your place to go!

I love this place. I am so very happy each year in May and very sad in October when the bookstore closes for the season. Also it took me forever to write a review because selfishly I didn't want to advertise hahaha This bookstore is a mess but in a great way. It's such a great place to just look around and discover a book you didn't know or remember you wanted to read. But if you know what you want and are confused where to look, just ask, he will tell you exactly where it is , how many copies he has and if you're lucky he'll talk to you about his passion for books and divulge how many storage unit he needs for them all. This place should be a historical landmark. I love it so very much. Next time I go I'll take some photos.

Such a cool little bookstore! May seem overwhelming at first, but it is well organized. Could spend hours in there! Found some really cool used books and everything was perfectly priced. The man behind the counter was courteous and friendly. Will be back next year!

Great place to buy books to read on the beach a stone throw away from the store. Perfect to walk to from the boardwalk, to get your book fix for the day. The owner talks to whoever comes in and is friendly to those who have questions. Great store great guy. 10/10 recommend supporting them

I absolutely love going in here, the owner is so kind and knows where everything is and it's so refreshing. It such such a nice book smell while also being so organized. This place is forever stacked with books and i never get tired of scrolling through.

Great selection. Didn't find my particular author because she's relatively new. I did however find 3 psychological thriller's. Can't wait to dive in! The man at the front is always pleasant and very helpful. Can't wait to come back next year to see what I can find

I've been frequenting this bookstore ever since I was a child, summering at the beach; this weekend I took a trip down memory lane and stopped it to see if I could remember why it stole my heart so long ago. It sits not far from the boardwalk (a few blocks) and offers a monopoly on places to grab a good read before hitting the beach. This cozy bookstore offers everything from discounted, pre-owned books to the latest bestsellers, plus they usually have some crazy good deal like 20% off new books or 20% off a 10 book purchase. Definitely worth a peek if you're in the area!

We absolutely love Hooked On Books, and make sure we stop here during our family vacation. They have a fantastic selection with great prices. This is our third summer visiting, and we weren't disappointed. I snagged the first two books written by Henning Mankell to add to my mystery authors collection. You could spend a ton of money if you lack self control. This is a treasure in Wildwood. Make sure you fit this into your "must stop" itinerary.

Go there, now! Good trip to make on a rainy day. I love this store. It has a great selection (fiction, non-fiction, children's, young adult, language, humor, self-help, diet & exercise, even some textbooks) and the guys who work there are super-helpful. If you can't find what you're looking for, all you have to do is ask. Also, if you're looking for recommendations, they'll hook you up. Buy 10 books and you get 20% off (I think). Don't think I've ever left with less than 10 books.

I can be in here for hours looking at all the great books. Large selection of used but today I got a nice brand new one and it was discounted! I come here very year. I love this store. I spend a week in wildwood and come home with several books. Highly recommend visiting this store.

Great local find - lots of interesting used books. Even my "I hate to read" daughter found something. I am interested to hear the store of this "downtonwn" area though. Really dried up and forgotten. Do check out the bookstore, though.

This cute little bookstore is still going strong! The husband and I were in Wildwood a few weekends ago and we just had to stop at our favorite spot. It's just as fantastic as we remembered and we spent quite a bit of time in there going through everything. They do have new releases, as well, so don't be discouraged by the fact that they're not a Barnes and Noble. There's a section for just about everything, including a pretty cool kid's section. If you're a reader and you're in Wildwood, definitely check this place out! It's only a few blocks from the boardwalk and it's an absolute gem. I wish we had one like it at home!

Stopped in for some beach reads. The store seemed a little overwhelming at first...there were SO many books. Once you start looking around you realize it is well organized and they have a lot of popular books.

This is an amazing used book store! There are many sections here, so there is something for everyone. I really enjoyed the horror section. I got 7 books in total for about $40, which is a really good price compared to what you would get for 7 books at places like Barnes & Noble. There was a pretty good children's section as well- I rarely see a children's section that size in a used book store. I also used a coupon for the purchase as well, and they willingly took it compared to another place on the boardwalk. I would enjoy coming back!

This is the best book store in the area, actually it's the only bookstore in the area (if I remember correctly). This is a fantastic little shop that sells used books and on occasion new books. There are a lot of books to look through so come when you have some time to browse. The owner is friendly and knowledgeable about books.

Hooked On Books is a glorious little secondhand bookstore which always seems to have just what I'm looking for. I swear this place is magic. The prices are super cheap and they carry a nice selection of rare and out-of-print titles. Ask them about their special for children's books..."Buy 3 kids books, get the fourth for free!"

Great bookstore that has something for everyone at very reasonable prices. They have both new and used books (in very good condition) at terrific prices.

I really like this place. We always stopped at a used book store on our family vacations when I was young. It's great to find a place like this in Southern Jersey as an adult on our family vacation. Helpful, friendly service. Everyone in the family found something. Books are organized by type and sorted by author - makes it easy to search. We'll be back.

The best used bookstore I've been to hands down! I went looking for some random Dune novels and found them in spades, cheap, and the store has a deal where you get 20% off for buying 10 books or more. The owner was very friendly and knowledgeable about his selection. If you are looking for something specific don't hesitate to ask for his help.

Very nice store,ran out to look for some Stephen King 1st ED. And only had 14 mins due to no change for meter. I rushed and found a beautiful copy of everythings eventual. The guy at the counter wasn't much of a conversationalist..but ohh well can't have everything. Def worth checking out.

We came here last summer and I got over 10 books for my kindergarten classroom. It was great! Went back today to browse and find a book to read on the beach. The guy working was so rude to me, my boyfriend, and younger sister. After us being there for about 15 minutes looking for books, he made a comment saying he didn't know why we were all still there if we were just going to "hang out". My sister and I were looking for books... in a book store with no way to look up what books there were in the store. No need for the rudeness. It felt like he thought we were there to make trouble. Unnecessary and he will no longer get our business for that. Only giving 1 star because I have to.

Great selection of books and prices are good as well. There is also a discount if you buy a certain amount. The Irish guy who works there is polite and extremely helpful. Unlike a lot of other used book stores they can tell you exactly what they have in stock at any time. We go here several times whenever we are in the area.
