Hooper's Crab House

This is an amazing place! We happened to see it when we were driving by and we're really glad that we did. It's a really cool place with a ton of stuff hanging on the walls, or from the ceiling. There's even a gift shop. Dinner was really outstanding. It was probably the best meal we had in Ocean City Maryland and the service was extremely friendly and attentive. They were really great with our dietary restrictions as well. We started with a few appetizers, the crab chowder (which was very good), the shrimp (which were very well seasoned and cooked), and the basket of crab claws (which was probably our favorite thing that we ordered). The crab claws come well seasoned with a mallet to crack the claws and the blue crab meat was delicious! For dinner we got a couple of platters, one platter had snow crab legs, lobster, and a fried crab cake, and the other platter had flounder, shrimp, scallops, and broiled crab cake. Everything was delicious and well cooked. It was the best crab cakes we had our entire trip! Hooper's Crab House is now one of our favorite restaurants in Ocean City, Maryland and one we'll be going back to every time we're there for sure. We highly recommend checking out Hooper's for a great meal!

Wonderful atmosphere and service. Food was delicious. We didn’t go for the crab dinner, instead chose individual meals. The food was great, no complaints. Atmosphere and service were excellent. Prices were a little higher than expected for what we got. I would come back but after some time. I feel like might be able to find similar experience and food quality at other restaurants. But with all said, for my second time in ocean city this was a great meal. Overall a good dining experience that I would recommend

I visited Hoopers 2 years ago and was blown away. I had to visit it again and see if it was all true and it was. Food was so good. I got the bang bang shrimp and the seafood special. Our server Mindy recommended I get it fried since im not a huge fan of scallops and she was RIGHT! It was all amazing. I will definitely visit. One day, I will actually make it to dessert. Definitely recommend!

The restaurant has been there for along time, it has weathered many storms. The restaurant is really cool, at has many cool things inside, they have a gift shop, arcade, bar, and the restaurant with water views. The food is good, I am biased since I do not eat seafood it is hard for me to judge. I got the ribs and fried chicken with corn.on the cob and coleslaw, the ribs had good flavor and came apart with ease. The chicken was good. I am a big fried chicken person, it had good flavor but it was nothing over the top. My daughters got the all you can eat steamed blue crabs, shrimp, corn on the cob and hush puppies. I peeled the shrimp and cracked the crabs they enjoyed the food. They enjoyed the taste and spices of both. My wife had the fried shrimp with green beans and mashed potatoes, she enjoyed her meal very much. She wished the green beans were cooked a little longer. My family got two orders on the side of crab legs they enjoyed them a lot. The price was very expensive for all, but they have a captive audience at the beach a cool place to serve you and experience is worth probably worth it. I would recommend that if you can afford you should try it.

We stopped in on a rainy Sunday and waited a very short time to be seated. While there was quite a line, it moved fast. The restaurant is huge and they have tables to accommodate any size party. The decor is exactly what you'd expect at a Maryland crab house. The menu has lots of options and they have a kids menu. We ordered a dozen extra large Maryland crabs to share, cream of crab soup, lobster mac and cheese, hush puppies, and a kids mac and cheese meal. Everything was delicious. The Maryland crab was excellent, juicy and flavorful, and our crabs were a good size. Market price for the extra large was $95 a dozen. One thing to note is that it was very hot inside. We were melting as we picked crab and they had windows open and fans blowing. Still worth a trip but dress comfortably for the heat.

Great little place on the bay. It's located behind Hoopers on the docks. Gorgeous views of the bay with a nice breeze even on a hot day. Service was good but food took forever. There were 6 of us and we all ordered different handhelds. It took a good 40+ mins from ordering time to food delivery. Needless to say we were all famished by the time it all arrived. When it did arrive it was above average with the crab cake and chicken sandwiches taking center stage. The seasoning salt they offer for the fried food was salty deliciousness. Tip was automatically added to the bill which is nice but make sure you check it.

We had a great time at the restaurant! Website said there was no wait but when we got there we had to get in line outside and 13 families were ahead of us. They have indoor and outdoor seating, which we didnt pick they just pick for you. The food was really good, the atmosphere is very fun. If you go take a minute to walk around before you leave there is a lot to see. They have a photographer that comes around and takes your photo, optional to buy. We had a party of 5 and after tip spent over $300. They have a little arcade inside and a suvenvoir store.

First time trying Hooper’s and we were extremely satisfied! 3 of us had the seafood combo and one of us had crab cakes. We had New England clam as an appetizer. All of it was fantastic and very fresh! Fun atmosphere and they have a cute waiting area with swings in the sand.
